The Power and Necessity of Evangelism, Part 3 | Dr. Mike Woods, Sr. | 20 March 2025

In this live 12‑noon Bible study, Dr. Michael Lyris Woods delivers a fervent sermon on evangelism, using John 4 as the central text. He begins with a prayerful invitation to share the broadcast, then diagnoses why many believers hesitate to witness: a limited revelation of God’s work, fear, and a reliance on superficial religious rituals. Woods outlines a step‑by‑step framework for personal evangelism: (1) recognize the inherent value of every person, regardless of status or sin; (2) present the offer of true, lasting satisfaction found in Christ’s “living water”; (3) be honest about personal sin and the need for repentance; (4) teach authentic worship that is “in spirit and in truth”; (5) clearly introduce Jesus as the Savior; (6) create a sense of urgency, likening believers to sowers in a ready harvest; and (7) rejoice in obedience and the fruit of souls saved. Throughout, he interweaves repeated prayers, exhortations to share the message on social media, and practical challenges to engage people in everyday settings (work, gym, stores). The sermon concludes with a heartfelt prayer for empowerment, a call to give financially, and an invitation to future gatherings.

Well, grace and peace everyone to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Welcome to our 12 noon Bible study. uh, that we're doing as a part of our 12-day fast. I am Dr. Michael Lyris Woods. For those of you who are uninitiated, welcome! Please don't scroll. I promise you there'll be something here today that will be a tremendous blessing to your life. Glory to the name of God! I'm so excited as usual to teach the word of God, and I pray, uh, that you are just as excited to receive on this, uh, Friday afternoon. Glory to the name of God. So I am grateful that God is with us. Praise the name of God. And I'm grateful that he's given us an opportunity, really for real, uh, people, to teach this particular message. This message, uh, is almost like terrorism. Glory to God. To some people, people fear this responsibility uh, to share Jesus Christ with others. And when really, honestly, people need— glory to the name of God— to receive, people need to hear, people need to trust— glory to the name of God— in the abilities of God in this day and time like never before. So guys, do me a favor, uh, that you're— now that you're here, those of you that are here, I need you to go ahead and share this. Glory to the name of God. I always say that sharing is godly. Glory to the name of God. So please share, tag, let people know that we are on. The scripture declares, and I stick with this, that we are blessed, glory to the name of God, to be a blessing. Glory to the name of God. So if something is blessing you, it is so vitally important that you bless others with it. Amen. So please do me a favor, family. I want you to share this And I want you to let others know that we are live right now. Glory to God. I'm going to go ahead and pray. Glory to God. Uh, so we need to just really trust God on every level. Praise God. Uh, we need to trust God and be able to— oh yeah, activate and move. I feel God here. That's why I'm moving real circumspectly and pretty slow right here because I really feel the Lord, some, as we teach the word, I believe that breakthrough is gonna happen. The Bible says he sent his word and it healed them. So there are many times I'm teaching and I, I sense a different kind of anointing that is being released over that particular word that's gonna bring breakthrough no matter what the subject matter, because it's the word of God. So as we teach today, I believe that there's gonna be breakthrough for all of us. Matter of fact, let's just begin to pray right now and worship God for breakthrough. Because I believe it's going to happen on this live today. Father, in Jesus' name, we give you praise, we give you glory, we give you honor. And Father, we magnify you, we macrograph you, we lift you up. And Father, we thank you for your goodness, your mercy, and your grace. We thank you for favor. We thank you for your kindness. Father, we bless you, we honor you, and we thank you. We give you glory, we give you praise. We thank you for your goodness. We thank you for your mercy. We thank you for your grace. We thank you for who you are. And Father, we thank you for in advance, your credit is good with me. So I thank you in advance for what you're gonna do through this teaching. I rebuke Satan. Satan, the Lord rebuke you. Cast the devil out of the mind. God, we decree and declare that we will receive, we will hear, and that no weapon formed against us today will be able to prosper. We praise you, God, and we give you glory. We give you honor. We give you praise. We thank you. Hallelujah for what's to come. And we decree and declare that what's to come is better. It's better. It's better than what has been. We thank you that our best days are yet in front of us, and we bless you and we honor you in Jesus' mighty name. Hallelujah. You're so good. You're so kind. You're so amazing, God. God, we give you praise. We give you glory. We bless you. I thank you for breakthrough now. I thank you for peace. I thank you for provision. I don't know who needs this right at this moment, but I thank you for peace and provision. Oh God, for every place of worry and doubt and fear, I release the peace of God that surpasseth all understanding. I release favor with God and man, and I give you praise for it now in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Whoosh! Ah, somebody ought to give God glory right here, right here. Just bless him right where you are. Welcome everybody that's joining us. Glory to the name of God. Hallelujah! We're so glad you're here today. Praise God. Lebunsu tu rakasataya. We bless you, God, and we give you glory. We thank you for breakthrough. We thank you for favor. Hallelujah! Glory to God. Again, if you have not shared this, uh, please, by all means, family, go ahead and share. I would certainly appreciate it. Hallelujah, you're so good. Somebody's going to get changed today. Hallelujah, because of, of just the word of God. Glory to the name of God. He sent his word and it healed. Rapha. It stitched them back up. It restored. It reconciled. So that's not just physical healing, but he sent his word and it reconciles and balances life and situations. That's what the word of God does. Us. Hallelujah. And that's why we gather at 12 noon. That's why we gather on Sunday. That's why we gather on Thursdays when we have our midweek services, because we need word. Glory to God. That will reconcile and heal and bring breakthrough and transformation in our life. The word itself is power. Glory to God. To bring about change. Hallelujah. I'm gonna get in there. Glory to God. I'm so grateful to be able to share with you again today. Uh, it, it has been a great opportunity to teach again on this subject because again, people fear this, man. They fear it more than anything. It is a feared word. Glory to God for body of the Body of Christ. Uh, nobody really wants to engage this, but the whole thing of evangelism really is about engagement, engaging other people who are outside of our community, outside of our culture, and introducing them to the God that has done so much for us. Do you, do you understand that? Do you understand that God has done so much for us? He's done so much for us. Glory to God. So listen, if you are— glory to the name of God— in love with Jesus, then you would love this subject because you want other people to experience what you know about him. Um, we're gonna jump into this and we're gonna kind of walk through John 4 a little today. Uh, yesterday we started talking about, uh, some— the mandate of evangelism, uh, in detail. We started talking about the mandate of the first day and just kind of defining what evangelism is On yesterday, if you haven't heard those messages, please go back and listen to them. Um, on yesterday, family, I began to share with you, uh, some things that limit our evangelism or literally just cause us not to evangelize at all. And, um, I want to kind of review those things really quick, and then we're going to get into what we're going to do today in John 4. Praise God. Um, the first thing I, I shared with you on yesterday concerning, uh, the thing that literally diminishes or limits our evangelistic approach— I share with you guys that it is our lack of revelation of the depth and the altitude and the latitude of what God actually did for us. And watch this, that is not recognized it has to be revealed. You need a revelation of just how deep and how high and how wide latitude of the cross is for your life. You need a real revelation of that. You, you need a real encounter with the fact that somebody actually died for you, right? Somebody actually died and then got theyself up out the grave with, with the power that they hold. Glory to God. Hallelujah. And then put that same power in you so one, you could be redeemed from sin and die to your old man and then be resurrected with him. And then watch this, every aspect of Jesus's, uh, visit and departure to earth, uh, we have opportunity to experience. We, we, we, we have death in baptism. We talked about that yesterday. Uh, baptism into his identity, not just water. And then we have, glory to God, resurrection through the power of the Holy Ghost when we're filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Are y'all hearing me? And then we can ascend as we constantly grow in Christ-likeness. We're, we're operating in different dimensions of ascension. And you know, because ascension is not just having a high service where, you know, again, everybody's drunk, everybody's falling out on the floor, everybody's rolling on the floor, doing all those things. No, that's not really the highest level of ascension. Honestly, when all of that stuff is happening, most of the time it's because there's a lot of unbelief around. Oh, oh, Michael, did you just say that? Yes, I did. Because watch this, the Bible says an adulterous generation looks for a sign. So when you— and not knocking it because we do it, again, we do it— but when it is occurring at high levels, it's not that we've ascended so high. I'm sorry, preacher, I know you thought that, but it's because there's a lot of lack of faith and there's a lot of doubt in the room with you. Oh, so people got to fall in the flow, people got to get a sign because an adulterous nation. Not— and that word adulterous, uh, literally is not just someone who cheats on their spouse. The word adultery there literally means to be satisfied by something that's not yours. So when people in, in the body of Christ begin to find satisfaction in things, in flesh, in carnality outside of God, their faith has to be reignited through manifestations. So it's an unfaithful, adulterous generation that's preoccupied with other systems and other structures that always needs a sign. Mature people— watch this— don't necessarily have to have a sign. Oh, glory to God! They could come to church, they can worship God, tap into God for themselves, get the word, grow— watch this— and go into the world and operate in what they've been taught. They ain't got to be in the floor. And some of will judge people because they don't get slain. Oh, y'all ain't got to talk to me here. But again, when we see all that happening, it's an adulterous generation that's looking for signs. The Bible, Bible said that— we've been teaching this— that these signs follow them. And I'm just reviewing, I'm gonna get into this in a minute— that believe. So signs follow us, but they catch up to us when we get to the individuals that need the sign, because all signs lead somewhere. The signs should lead to Jesus. If every week in church I gotta knock you in the floor, if every week— oh boy, oh boy— if every week in the church I have to— you have to see a sign to know that God is real and you're already a believer, that's a sign of your level of faith and where you are. So an adulterous generation seeks a sign. So, so we discovered yesterday that there's a limited revelation of what God has done for us. And so we end up not evangelizing because we really don't know the depths of that, and we start needing to constantly be babied in our own walk with God to be reminded that he's God. But if you develop relationship with him on a day-to-day basis, you don't need those things to really continue. Now, they're good, trust me. I'm not preaching against it because I do it. I've been doing this stuff for 35 years, 36 years this this year. Listen, I'm not against it in no way, and, and you know it if you're listening to me. But I'm just trying to correct you in your ideology to think that you've arrived at some great place and that you're better than everybody else because people always in the floor. No, that's not the case. And a lot of times people flock to that because they hadn't seen it before, man. Again, 36 years ago, we've been seeing this all our ministry. I'm trying to teach you something. I'm trying to give you some wisdom. You— so that we can win the world, you got to grow up and mature so that those gifts work through you for them. Oh, so secondly, we discovered yesterday that it's fear that keeps us from witnessing. It's fear. And I share with you that God has not given you the spirit of fear. He gave you power. He gave you love. He gave you a sound mind. Hear me good. Glory. Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah, hallelujah. So you don't have to be afraid because he loves you. Yeah, yeah. And he loves the person you're trying to talk to, so you don't have to fear. Glory to God. You got a sound mind. Sophronismos. I gave you that— a well-balanced, intelligent mind. All the tools that you need to be effective in your purpose, to be effective in witnessing to others, you already have in you. We're going to see this in a moment. Glory to God. Jesus Jesus gives us a great example of this and what we're about to teach today. And then we, we understand we have power, we have dunamis power, we're in alignment with the power of the living God that works in us and through us. So why are we afraid to talk about him? Oh boy, it's quiet in the room today. I love y'all. Glory to God. Hallelujah. This again, this is not popular stuff, man. I know. And, and it won't be— glory to the name of God— people flocking to watch this because people don't want this responsibility. Responsibility. People want to post a Facebook post about God and hide behind the computer and honestly think just because you posted a post about God that someone who is not saved is going to see it and it's going to water something in them. Let me, let me share something with you. The algorithm scientifically and through technology and the way these social media companies have built out these algorithms It don't work that way. If you're posting about God, you better believe the people that are seeing your posts about God are people who are 99% of the time already in the church, already familiar with God, already following these kind of pages and getting this information. So at most, our posts are edifying those that are already saved. Are you hearing this? But you cannot make Facebook an evangelistic field and think that you're going to get people born again, glory to the name of God, just by putting up a post. There's got to be a wise strategy. There's got to be a different approach. Praise God. And what we're talking about over these 10 days of teaching, glory to the name of God, is personal evangelism, one-on-one, being able to reach people and touch the lives of people. I'm telling you, I said it on day one, the church is dysfunctional because we have good church. We go through a lot of religious motions, even the ones that call themselves supernatural and spiritual and charismatic. Religious stuff, going over the same stuff over and over again, that's called religion, right? Okay, so the reality is, and then the end result, it doesn't culminate with actually someone being introduced to Jesus. So what we got to do is figure out how to create a balance between what we're doing and what we're not doing and get people to Jesus, right? So let's go to John 4. We're going to get into this. Glory to God. I pray you're good today. Hallelujah. Wonderful Savior. Yeah, like I said, I, I never started preaching to be liked, so I really don't care if you don't like me or not, but I do care if you get the truth right. Yeah, because I, I'm not trying to win nobody's, uh, popularity contest. John chapter 4. Hallelujah! Wonderful Savior. And we're going to start at verse number 7, I think, here. Yeah, yeah, 7. Glory to God. And what we're going to find here that an encounter with Jesus— watch this— really changes your life, whether you believe that or not. I mean, some of you are saved, most of you watching me right now are born again, but you got to really believe that an encounter with Jesus for real actually changes your life. Okay, and when you look at your life, you got to be able to see clearly that change. Um, those of us who are born again, and what we're going to see in this text, we understand the overwhelming joy and feeling we get when we actually trust him. We understand the, the fulfillment that we have of in seeing God move in our life when we really encountered the hand of God in situations we could not control. We, we know that joy, right? Um, but sometimes in understanding that and seeing God move for us and looking at how God— and that's why I reviewed those 3 things, um, before I got started with this, because a lot of times we, again, we become limited in our perception of how deep what God does for us is, that limitation causes us to have trepidations in sharing the great things, the magnificent things, the marvelous things that God has done for us. Matter of fact, the church is very comfortable sharing what God has done amongst his own. We're very comfortable giving testimony among our own. Listen, I grew up in a church where we had— watch this— testimony service. Glory to God. Everybody will pop up and give, say, give it unto God. Yeah, yeah. Who's the head of my life? Bishop Sykes and friends. Glory to God. And they will begin to thank God for all that he had done that week, or they would have a testimony. Glory to And seemingly people be— I even, you know, as I was a young man of God, a young, uh, saved brother, I, I became comfortable. It was one of my favorite parts of the service, getting up and giving my testimony and being fiery with that testimony. Glory to God. So that people could know what God had done for me. I had grown in great comfort with that. But here's where the disconnect came. I became very uncomfortable, no matter what God had done, with sharing that with my friends and those that didn't know Jesus. And there was a point in my life, because I wanted— I was under the pressure to be liked as a teenager by other people, I just figured, hey, they don't want to hear that. So I would testify in church, but really the testimony It may encourage the saints, right? But it really brings deliverance and overcoming for those who are not saved. So as I grew, I think one time I was 16, I got very comfortable in public testifying about Jesus. So I've always been a speaker. So, and, and, and God will use me at school. I will be a speaker on programs. They will use me to pray on programs. And so that will always be a great door for me to talk to people about Christ. Because anytime I get up and, and I, and I would pray or I would speak on a program or whatever it was I was doing at the school, people would approach and say, man, Mike, you were good, man. You, you sound like a preacher. And bam, that was an open door for me to start talking about Christ. So I became comfortable testifying about Jesus, so much so that I was known as the preacher at school. Praise God. People knew that there was ministry on my life. Are y'all hearing me? Now you have to become comfortable sharing this outside of your world, because a lot of times we make the church our abode, and at the end of the day, honestly, you go to church but you can't live at church. I'ma say that, I'ma say that again. You go to church but you cannot live at church. Hallelujah. I must— oh God, you can't sleep at the church. You got to go home. You got to be in the world but not of the world, and you got to be a city that sits on a hill that cannot be hid. So when you go into the world, you got to be able to be comfortable, because guess what? That we overcome the devil according to the Book of Revelation by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. So watch this, we're helping others overcome the devil when we testify. 5. So what, what we were doing at church, you know, okay, it was, you know, giving glory and praise to God amongst the saints. But if nobody in that congregation was unsaved, the real benefit of the testimony, hallelujah, was not present. Because at the end of the day, it's for overcoming power, so that people who are struggling with darkness, struggling with sin man can overcome. Oh, glory to God. So, so we have to now jump the hurdle, jump the hurdle. Jesus is not making a suggestion in the, the text we've read before to go into the world. He, he's commanding us, and he wants us to do it through our life and action. So this story in— in, uh, glory to God— John chapter 4, verse 7, round 14 is an example that I believe could teach us some basic principles of going and doing what we got to do. The reality is— here we go— Jesus is the best example of anything we have in this life with him. So we ought to take note of how Jesus handles this situation with a person who is not saved. And that's what we're going to do, uh, we're going to walk through this text and I'm gonna give you some things. So point number 1, I want you to write this down, and we're going to see this in the text in verse number 7. We're going to see it. Point number 1, you got to show value to all people. So let's read this. The Bible said, there cometh a woman of Samaria. Now I want you to understand about Samaritans. Samaritans were rejects. They were people who were rejected by society. They were poverty-stricken. They were poor. And this woman in particular was a prostitute. So she was someone that you really wouldn't anticipate someone who is saved encountering or being around. But here's the— here's the thing we need to understand. Jesus, the Bible says, was a friend of publicans and sinners. You cannot reach people who are not saved if you're not around them. So, and, and many of you go to work every day with people who are not saved. You go to work every day with people who are not born again. You go to school daily with people who are not born again. You go in grocery stores, gas stations, convenience stores, the gym. There are people around you all the time who don't know God. Here's the first point: regardless to what walk of life they are from we must love them enough to show value to them. Oh boy, say that with me. Say, every human— I need you to say it— has value. With your holy and self-righteous self, I need you to understand every human has value. While you may not agree with the lifestyle they live— watch this— lesbian, gay, straight, whoremonger, adulterer, liar— no matter what category you see them in, it's so amazing that when we get saved, we have such a clairvoyance— glory to the name of God— for sin on the life of other people, not remembering that God saved you and cast your in the sea of forgetfulness. So instead of just looking at people as people who are in sin, we should see the value of their human purpose, of why their heart is beating, and embrace the fact that God has something for them if we can, huh, get them to hear his story. But you've already lost the battle in trying to evangelize and trying to witness if you don't show value. Now, it's hard for you to do that. Hear me, it's very hard for you to do that if you don't have the love of Christ in your heart. For you, uh, listen, again, not against it. I have probably spoke in more tongues than you all, and I probably will speak in some before this broadcast is over. I speak in tongues as a practice. Glory to God, it's my heavenly language. But watch this, with your tongue-talking self, hear me, with your prophesying self, with your gifted, anointed self, none of it matters if you cannot operate in love. The Bible says, whoo, whoo, Your prophecy, your tongues of men and of angels, they become as a sounding brass and a tinkling cymbal if you have not love. The Bible says in Corinthians 13, it profits you nothing. So wait a minute, so those gifts profit you nothing if you can't love? Not saying you got to accept what they're doing, not saying that, but they are human, and we got to place value on every human being. Listen, Jesus in this text, the Bible says, there cometh a woman from Samaria to draw water. Watch this. Jesus says to her, give me drink. He says to the prostitute, the sinner woman, give me something to drink. So Jesus is saying to us here, look, I see God's image in this human being. Oh boy. Listen, because I'm telling you right now, every human being has some God in them, whether they accept him or receive him or not. He breathed the breath of life into man, and man became a living soul. Nephesh. Ish. His soul, his mind, his will, his emotion came alive because of the breath of God. Saint or sinner, no matter who you are, you live and breathe because God breathed into humanity. That's a fact. So you've got to be able to see the God value in every human, no matter what they're doing, and that there is a possibility that this human being can be made. But you got to see their value. You got to love them. You cannot treat people differently because of their gender, because of their culture, because of their race, because of their position— oh my God— or because of their income. Listen, he initiated this conversation. He said to her, give me drink. It surprised her because it was very countercultural for Jesus being of Jewish descent— are y'all hearing this— to speak to a woman of Samaria. And see, here's the problem with most people who don't evangelize, who don't understand that they have a job, that they have a duty— listen to me— to minister, to speak to those— hear me, family— who need what we have We don't do it because, glory to God, sometimes— let me tell you something— you think you're a little more higher, but you're human just like them. You're just saved by grace. Hear me, man. And God saw the value in you, and you received him, and you're just changed now. You should want someone else to have that. So you got to see value. Listen, I mean, he had a conversation glory to God, that broke down walls, that made God and his ability to transform the central focus. Glory to God. Let me keep reading. He said, for his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat. Verse 9, then said the woman of Samaria unto him, how is it that thou, being a Jew, asketh drink of me, a woman of Samaria? Again, she's confounded by this. All right, how is it that you, from Jewish descent— and you know I'm of low income, you know where I come from, there's no way we should be mingling. Watch this. He said, for the Jews have no dealings— she said, for the Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Verse 10, hear this. He says, if thou knewest the gift of And who it is that says to thee, give me to drink, thou would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water. Jesus. So in Jesus's eyes, her— his answer to her question is, watch this, no one is beyond hope, no one is beyond transformation. Because he's saying to her, listen, I carry a gift, I carry something everything in me. I am the very person that can cause you to live forever. You're not unapproachable because I am life itself. Do you realize when you're dealing with people, you're carrying this same Jesus inside of you? You're carrying the— uh, uh, that's why John 7:38 said, believe on me. 3 chapters later, John 7:38, he said, believe on me as the scripture has said, and out of your belly will flow rivers of living water. Because that, that life, the living water that's in you is him. And if you believe God like the scripture has said concerning your life, your belly will become a reservoir for others to drink and have the same eternal life that you now have a right to. So that's the first thing you got to do, is you got to show value to all people. Let's, let's— second point, watch this. You got to— oh, well, here we go. You got to present the offer of true satisfaction. So you got to show value, and exactly, we're about to see it. You got to present the offer to the person you're talking to. These are some methods I'm giving you to evangelize of true satisfaction. Now, you cannot talk to someone about true satisfaction— uh-oh— if you ain't satisfied. Okay, all right, if you're not satisfied, you really can't talk about true satisfaction. So you got to really be for real satisfied with Jesus. You got to be for real satisfied with God. Are y'all hearing me? Are you here? Are you here? Okay, all right, I, I believe you are. So, so, so, so let's, let's keep reading. Let's read, let's read so we can see. Because whether we realize it or not, everybody's searching for satisfaction, right? I want you to grab this. Every person on this planet is looking for satisfaction in life. They're looking for peace in life, whether they're even a terrorist. Let me tell you something, that terrorist understands that even in his mission, his ultimate peace is in the destruction of himself and others. Everybody's looking for satisfaction. We happen to have the ultimate true satisfaction as believers, and what we got to learn how to do is present that satisfaction. Glory of God with joy, with power, with love. Let's read verse 11. The woman said unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From whence then hast thou that living water? Now watch this. So it's very important to know when you— especially in this day and time— when you engage people who are not saved You need to make sure that you have clarity about who you are in God and what you carry, because the questions will be proposed. It may not be the questions of what you gonna draw with, but it may be questions of how you know what you know is true. And you better be ready with— armed with testimony, armed with the word of God, to respond to the questions of this day. And so my question to you right now is, can you stand— hear me— the questions? Can you, hallelujah, hold it together under the inquiry of those that are looking for satisfaction? Because anybody that's looking for satisfaction is going to interrogate the one that says they are the satisfied. Or they have the solution to their search. Oh boy. Yes, God, we give you glory. Verse 12, here we go. He says, "Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?" Questions, man. Verse 13, Jesus answered and said unto her, "Whosoever drinketh this water, shall thirst again. So he's saying to her, listen, the things that you have leaned on for satisfaction, they are only temporary. And you have— listen again, if you're not clear that world systems and worldly satisfaction and carnal ways of doing things— are y'all hearing me? Hear me, glory to God. If you're not sure yourself, hear me, hear me. Hey, Mimi, good to see you, good to see you, good to see you. And I haven't forgot about you. My life just has been tremendously busy, but we're going to get together because I, I know we, we have to have a conversation. Glory to the name of God. But I just want to publicly say I haven't forgot about you. Listen, you have to be able to trust what you know through your own encounter, your own experience. But we got a lot of people trying to share things— here we go— that they are not even clear of themselves. My God, today, my God, today, Obasi Andaya, we give you praise. We give you praise, we give you praise. So, so, so, so, so again, let me keep going. You, you got to— because I'll get caught up in all the other elements of what's happening around me. Listen, because I want to make sure you get this today, glory to God, because again, we want to talk in tongues, we want to prophesy, we want to lay hands, but we do not want to share what satisfies us. So here's my question is, if you ain't talking to people about God, I really can't believe you satisfied with God. Oh, hama sura kisan te te mando, Rabbi. Thank you, God. Thank you, Jesus. You, you need to check whether you satisfied or not, because if you're not sharing this— because man, when you said with something satisfied boy, you talk about it. Glory to God, when something is good to you, boy, you talk about it. Listen, I am so satisfied with my wife's cooking, I talk about it all the time. She's a great cook, she's a great baker. I'm satisfied with her as a woman. I post about her, talk about her all the time. When you satisfied with something, you talk about it. Come on, I'm sad. Oh boy, are you really sad? Or, or do you— are you— I ain't talking about neither just talking to church folks. When the last time you met someone at the well in the world? Glory to God. At the water cooler at work? Glory to God. At your cubicle? In the gym? Oh God, in the locker room? When the last time you talked about this God, hey, whoa, that satisfies you? Glory to God. When last time you did that? And, and we wonder why our churches are not growing. uh-oh— is because of slothfulness and laziness and fear and limited belief and limited satisfaction among those around us. Because we want to have good church, we want to impress each other. Because watch this, I was talking about testimony service earlier. Many times I watched testimony service evolve to an in-house competition. Y'all ain't got to say nothing as to who could get the most fiery testimony and get the church going. Listen, um, that's not what that's about. We got to realize that real testimony— a monologue about the test— testimony— a monologue about the test— two words— testimony— monologue about test. So you're testifying to the Samaritans that you come in contact with it about your satisfaction and how you've overcome. And they gravitate to the God, not you, that caused you to overcome. We give you praise, God. I'm gonna get through this, God. So Jesus answered, whoever drinks this water shall thirst again, but whosoever drinks the water that I shall give him— verse 14 me shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give satisfaction— y'all hear it— the water that I shall give him shall be in a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Oh my God, satisfaction! You talking about satisfaction! So this water that we've drank, this experience that we've had, these encounters that we've shared with God, They have come, glory to God, to give us everlasting life. It's eternal. It never ends. It never runs out. Once I really drink of him, I never am thirsty for anything outside of him. See, see, people talking about, oh, my appetites are still alive, and I'm saying, listen, if you really have drank of him. It will cause your other appetites and thirst to cease and be diminished because there's no other thing like him. He's true satisfaction. Hey, glory to God. Let's get me— keep reading. The woman said unto him, Sir, give me this water that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw So the moment Jesus was able to articulate the eternal water that will eliminate her thirst forever, guess what? It created a hunger and a desire in her to be satisfied by what he satisfied with. Listen to me, people. Who, when they experience the kingdom in you, who are not saved, when they experience it and they see it working in your life and they see eternity operating through you and you actually become a walking encounter, hear me, when you actually become a walking encounter and people experience God through you, a hunger, that God part of them starts wanting more. More, and they want to know the source of your testimony, not so much you. And you have to get past that. So number one, we got to see the value in people. Number two, we got to present an offer of true satisfaction. Where in your life has God truly satisfied you, and when was the last time you shared that? Number three— I gotta So number 3, in the witness process— let me keep reading. I'm gonna read 16, but I want, I want you to hear this. Number 3, here we go. Can you— hallelujah— be real about sin? Okay, this is what we're going to see. Let me read. You got number 3, you got to be real about sin. Remember, sin is hamartia in Greek. It means to miss Mark. So that means part of your testimony is, there was a time in my life I missed the mark. That was a time in my life I was a sinner. I, I did this, I did that. However the Holy Spirit leads you in the conversation to share about your story, not to present yourself as this holy and thou person that's above reproach, that you actually have had a place in life where you sinned, and the blood of Jesus took care of your sin. So you got to be real about that on your part, but then you got to be real with them about sin. Let's look at how Jesus does that. Jesus says to her in verse 16, watch this: Go, call your husband and tell him to come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, thou hast well said, I have no husband. For thou has had 5 husbands, and he whom thou has now is not your husband. It's so many messages in these 3 verses, man. Glory to God. In that thou sayest truly. Glory to God. So in other words, so the first husband is the real husband. The other ones, Jesus, they said them ain't valid. Glory to God. And you don't have 5. He said, but But Jesus was really talking about the one of her youth. Demi-come. Jesus was prophetic and real about sin. So for you prophets out here, that all you want to do is prophesy to folk at church, I've got a problem with your prophetic boldness and your, uh, prophetic ebullience, uh, if it only works in church. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I got a problem because the chief concern of Christ— watch this— is that souls will experience the cross, that those that are earmarked to be saved will be saved. He wants to edify the church through prophecy, that's a part of it, but his priority is to get more to him, to turn many to right? So if your gift is working at the church and you so accurate, you can call out names— oh boy, you call out phone numbers and socials and addresses. Glory to God, you're gifted. You could see through the wall in muddy waters at the church. I wonder why that gift don't work at Kroger, Walmart, Sam's, Costco, Oh yeah, I wonder why I don't work at the movies, at amusement parks. Come on, Quick Trip gas stations. I wonder why it doesn't work. Oh boy, at Piggly Wiggly. Oh, come on, come on, because if you're really a prophet, you, you will be using that anointing. Somebody said, well, Apostle, you're a prophet too. Yes, all the time. Oh God, all the time. Glory to the name of God. I'm using what God gave me to speak into the lives of others all the time, all the time. Whether I'm on a set of a film filming, whether I'm on the golf course, whether I'm in the store. When God— oh man, some of you've heard my testimony how God provided for me through ministry, through a woman, through prophecy, who by the way also got saved. Y'all hearing this? I, I just need you to understand the gift works everywhere, and you got to be real about sin. So if God shows you sin, you know, it's not going to offend them. You speak it in love and tell them what you see and tell them how God can help them in that area. Oh, Jesus wasn't rude to the lady. He was nice because in verse 19 she says She says, "Sir, thou hast perceived well, and thou art a prophet." Not that Jesus needed her confirmation. I need you to understand that. But the reality is the person who is being introduced to life now recognizes that there is life. There is something eternal beyond what she sees with her natural eye. I give you glory, I give you glory. Let's, let's get out of here. Let's go, let's go. Let me read verse 20. Our fathers worship in the mountain, and ye say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus said unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh— watch this— when ye shall neither in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem worship the Father. Ye worship Ye know not what. We know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. Hallelujah. But the hour cometh, and now is, that when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship him. I, I got to get out of here, man. So here's number 4. Here's number 4. So the woman repented, the woman received The woman now wants to understand worship because there's a whole lot of religion going on in mountains and all this stuff with Jews and with separatism in worship. Jesus makes it clear: you worship what you know not of. See, there are a lot of— whoo-wee— people who have a perception of God and the church who are even not saved, who think that they worship. But according to verse 23, you can't even worship unless you know him. Anybody can praise. Let everything have breath praise. But them that worship, worship in spirit and in truth. And this is what God seeks. So when your spirit is regenerated, when you're saved, when you're born again, when you become inducted into the family of God— glory to God. Umansiya. When you become like God, we give you glory, we give you honor, God. God says, now when your heart changes, you could truly get to know me and worship me. Hallelujah. So number 4, this conversation diverted from salvation now to worship. So number 4 is you got to teach true worship. You got to make people clear about what they worship, who they worship, and why they worship, and what worship really is. Because that's a real key to life in God— worship. That's why we go so hard in worship at our church, because we really want to pursue his heart. We really want his heart and not his hand. We want relationship, and we know that worship is the key that taps us into those depths. So we got to teach people true worship. Nothing wrong with praise, that's a balance, right? Praise is the vehicle that gets us to the place called worship. Glory to God. I'll say it again, praise is the vehicle that gets us to the place called worship. And so we have to determine, listen, that we're going to go through that process from glory to Glory to the name of God. And but when we get in worship, we get in the presence of the Father to become like him, to be transformed into his image. People, listen, when people get saved, this is so important. If a very important step to them walking with God is discovering worship, not dropping them into a whole bunch of religion. Number 5, glory to God. Let's look at verse 26. We're going to this. Jesus saith unto her, I speak unto thee, I that speak unto thee am he. In other verses, he was basically introducing himself, and now he confirms, I'm he. So number 5 is you got to introduce Jesus as the Savior. You got to make people clear of Jesus's work and that he is the Savior. Listen, the Samaritan woman realize, hey, I've heard about a Messiah before. But Jesus realized, hey, I'm— I want you to know I'm him. He revealed to her, I'm him. You heard about me, I'm him. And so you got to introduce people to God, not so much about getting them to your pastor, to your church. It's about letting them know who the Savior— that comes later. You need to get people to realize who he is. Glory to God. Number 6, and I got to get out of here. You got to create— drop down to verse 35. You got to create a sense of urgency. My God, my God, my God. He says, say ye not, there are yet 4 months and then cometh harvest. Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for yet they are white and already ready to harvest. Listen, the fields are ready. This world needs Jesus. The world needs you and I. We got to get in the trenches, family. Family. And we got to begin to tell them about the goodness of God. We got to begin to operate in the authority and the power that God has given us. And then finally, and I'm getting out of here, verse 36, the Bible said, and he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal, that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. Watch this, first, last, last one, number 7, you got to be joyful hear me, with obedience. So with the fact that you've obeyed and you witness, and now you gotta, you gotta rejoice, man, that souls are being— this is something to dance about. This is, see, this is something really to have a praise break about. When you see the fruit of witnessing coming into the kingdom and people being born again, hallelujah, you got to rejoice. Jesus taught disciples that the sowers and reapers will rejoice together. Listen, whether you're the person that tells it the first time or the person that tells it the second time— watch this— or whether you said nothing to that particular person at all, the very fact that we're all witnessing a new person in the kingdom, we rejoice together that we've all obeyed. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name— I gotta quit. My God, I could keep going. I thank you for this word. I thank you, God, God, for a mindset, God, to evangelize. And I release that upon you, amongst your people, even now. And I pray, God, in Jesus' name— thank you, God— that you will cause them to, one, show value to all people, as we've talked today, that the love of Christ will be shed abroad in their hearts by the Holy Ghost. In the name of Jesus, I thank you that they will show value to all people and that they will present the true offer of satisfaction Father, we recognize today that you are the one that satisfies. We are satisfied in you, Father. And so, Father, we thank you for supernatural satisfaction. And Father, let that satisfaction we have with you overflow into those that don't know you. And God, I thank you that we'll be real about sin. We'll operate in our gifts outside of the church, and the things that you've given us to do, we will use them to bring glory to you and to draw people unto to you, Father. We'll be real about worship, God, in the name of Jesus. We will introduce you to others as Savior. We will have a sense of urgency, and we will rejoice, God, that we have obeyed. And we give you praise for that now. And so, Father, I release the anointing of evangelism upon every person under the sound of my voice. Let your glory be revealed in their lives and do a new thing in them, in Jesus' name. Name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Hallelujah. Hey, glory to God. Much love to you. Thank you so much for joining us today. Amen. I thank you that those of you that stayed through the whole teaching, big kudos and ups to you, man. Glory to God. I appreciate you. Uh, means a lot. I know people have things to do during the day, but I appreciate you guys, man. It just means a lot. Listen, Listen, God has so many great things in store for you, and I'm telling you, your best days are still ahead. Hallelujah. And you got to trust him. And there are so many people assigned to your hands that he wants you to touch. Why don't you pray daily about those people and ask God to help you? I missed 5 o'clock prayer this morning because I didn't close my eyes, honestly, family, until 2 o'clock this morning to go to sleep. And so, and then my alarm clock didn't even go off, which is ironic. So I probably needed sleep in, but I pray if you got up at 5, you prayed. But the reason I was up so late, because God was just dealing with me about why strategies to win souls, and he's, he's teaching me as I teach you different things that we need to do to really impact those who we love, and we want them to have the same experiences with God that we have had. So I want to challenge you, man, as you leave and go through this weekend Yeah, witness, share the gospel. I will be right back here, glory to the name of God, tomorrow morning at 5 for sure, and then tomorrow at 12 noon for our teaching. And then I want to challenge you to meet us at Rhoda Church on Sunday morning at 9 AM, glory to God, for our Sunday morning worship experience is going to be tremendous. I love you guys, y'all be blessed. Listen, if you want to be a blessing to ministry, please do so. By now you guys know how to give. Give. Glory to God. Uh, it's simple, you know, if you really want to be a blessing to ministry— I know you will, you know, it's more blessed to give than it is to receive. So if this ministry blesses you, please be a support. I love you guys. The ways to give are scrolling at the bottom of the screen. Y'all be blessed. Peace.
