The POWER & NECESSITY OF EVANGELISM, PART 10 | DR. MIKE WOODS SR | 29 MARCH 2025

In the concluding livestream of a ten‑day teaching series during a 12‑day fast, Dr. Michael Lyris Woods and co‑speaker (Speaker A) deliver a high‑energy exhortation on the power and necessity of evangelism. They repeatedly urge viewers to share the livestream across Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, framing sharing as "caring" and "powerful". The core message emphasizes that true evangelism must be supernatural, rooted in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12, 1 Cor 14, Mark 16:17‑18, Matthew 10:8) and expressed through compassion, prayer, and scriptural meditation (Joshua 1:8/Haggai). They recount personal testimonies of miracles—raising a man from the dead, healing the sick, prosthetic leg restoration—asserting that such signs validate the gospel and compel belief. The speakers critique modern church practices that rely on social media metrics, charge for spiritual gifts, or lock doors to force giving, calling for authentic, love‑driven ministry instead. Practical evangelism tactics are offered, such as confronting Muslims or Jehovah’s Witnesses with supernatural demonstrations, and using compassion as the gateway to evangelistic impact. The sermon concludes with a fervent prayer, a call for financial seed‑planting, and announcements of upcoming church events (Family & Friends Day, Good Friday healing service, community day, Easter services). The overall tone is persuasive, urgent, and celebratory, aiming to mobilize listeners to share, pray, practice supernatural evangelism, and financially support the ministry.
Chapters
Well, praise the Lord, everybody, and welcome to 12 Noon.
And this is, my God, the finale, my Jesus, of 10 days of teaching during this 12-day fast. Glory to the name of God. And we have been talking about the power and the necessity of evangelism. And guys, what I need you to do, uh, very seriously and emphatically, I would that you would share, uh, this opportunity, praise God, uh, with others and let them know that we are on. Glory to God! We're streaming, uh, right now over 3 different Facebook pages, over, over YouTube and Instagram. So wherever you're connecting Do us the kind favor and share. Uh, sharing is caring, sharing is power. Glory to God. Uh, we are blessed to be a blessing. And if perhaps you're catching it by replay, guess what? I need you to still share this message, this message, um, in its totality. All 10 teachings, uh, have been very powerful. Our times of prayer at 5 AM when we had an opportunity to get together have been absolutely powerful, very poignant. Uh, and I believe evangelism is always pointed, it's perennial, glory to God, it's particular, and it's personal. Glory to the name of God. And I, and I think we've covered a lot of bases around those terms, and we've been very pointed in our approach, glory to the name of God, on how, uh, we need to really show up in the world and make a deliberate impact on the culture and the people around us And we need to exalt Jesus. I heard somebody say, um, I was in the marketplace working a few weeks ago. Um, we're working on a documentary that my film company, uh, is producing. This is the second documentary, um, we're working on, and God has really been a blessing to us in that area. But we was up in the mountains of California a couple of weeks ago shooting, uh, and I heard somebody say it was— I was— we was filming one of the sessions, and the person that was speaking Uh, he made a statement and he was talking about how trauma and how things would go through in life, and even how we're trained in the home will cause us to not question things, to check their authenticity. And he specifically said, you will not question Jesus if you've been taught that Jesus is real. Well, I want to say glory to the name of God And I wanted to say then, but I was working and I— it just wasn't my place to do that. Glory to God. So when I'm in the marketplace, I, I try to be wise. So I talked to him afterwards and me and him had a very, uh, profound conversation. But the reality is Jesus is not a religious thing. He's a real person.
He is God in us.
Glory to the name of God through the Holy Spirit. And we have a prime opportunity to know him, to experience him, to encounter his goodness And then when we do that, we have a right now to testify. Remember, we've been talking about testimony, monologue about the test, to talk about, glory to God, what we've gone through and how God has delivered us, how God has brought us out with others. And you know, like I said, this message is not popular. You know, people and preachers preach everything but this, and Jesus only preached kingdom and evangelism.
Glory to God.
So at the end of the day His whole purpose was to bring people into kingdom, and he taught about the kingdom and worked signs, wonders, and miracles while he talked. Glory to the name of God.
So, uh, let's, let's jump into this, man. I, I believe, like I said, uh, God's going to be glorified today.
And, um, if you're here, I just need you to really share this, man. I think somebody is going to be really, really blessed. Glory to the name of God. Um, by what we do today. Glory to God. So I want to kind of pick up where we left off yesterday, and, and I kind of was sharing with you that we all can operate in the supernatural.
And I really think this is—
and I'm not going to be long today at all, uh, because we're closing out the fast, and I just want to kind of put some icing on everything that we've taught. Glory to the name of God. And I believe that as I do this, uh, it's going to just kind of summarize what we've already taught a lot, and it's going to give you a mindset that you can actually access, uh, one, your testimony in a great way, and you can access the power of God, the gifts of the Spirit that he's given you in a very unique way that every time you show up to minister to someone through gifts, through his anointing, you can actually— family, hear me— you can actually do it with confidence because you understand what you're working with.
So we talked, glory to God, on yesterday, and we kind of—
well, we started day before yesterday, and I told you about using the power gifts, and I kind of went into using all the gifts yesterday, and we start talking about how evangelism was done in the Bible and how these people in scripture that we study actually use Jesus' style of evangelism, which was the power tools, which was the supernatural— glory to the name of God—
which was gifts of the Spirit to bring people to God. So we studied that, and I think there's a whole— again, there's a whole lot of saved people, all they want to do is post on social media, and what they don't understand about that Glory to God.
Again, inside of your algorithm is the things that you watch, the things that you engage, the people that you follow, um, and most of the time church folk are following church stuff.
And so when you're posting, very little is people who are not saved in your algorithm seeing what you post.
So this is something we really got to be very deliberate in, and we got to follow the tenets of what we've been teaching on really honestly reaching people and touching them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because people need this.
This thing is real. It's not religious. It's not about going to a building. It's not— it's not— listen, we got to go to church, but the kingdom in the church should be a place where we teach people and deploy them to advance the kingdom in the world so that people will come to Jesus.
Glory to God.
And the reality is, the moment we start doing anything else other than that right there— cultivating purpose, developing purpose, and deploying people into a walk that's leading them into destiny— and, and watch this, that destiny that they move into, oh boy, it becomes a trajectory to change someone else's destiny. So we have a very a clear mandate from scripture. You know, we just— this postmodern generation, we have—
and when I say postmodern, I'm talking about dating all the way back to the early 1900s.
We have disposed of a lot of the realities of why we attend church. Now, after the revival on Azusa Street and all those organizations were born out of that, that started splitting that move it became more of people being added to the church through wanting something different than what they was in, and they already knew something about God and wanted God, versus people who didn't know him, right, coming to him. So let's get in this. So we talked about that. So that evangelism was a real thing. It still is a thing. A lot of times we've just pushed it under the rug and throw shade on the responsibility that God has given us actually to win souls. This ain't popular, I'm telling y'all. And you'll probably, you know, there'll be a lot of people that go through, because I can see in the, you know, I can see people that watch for a second. I can see, glory to God, people that bounce in and out. And so a lot of times I check the analytics, and I, on certain things, people stay. And there have been certain teachings, we have multiple thousands of people on the teaching.
But when you start talking about things that challenge the responsibility of people, people are not going to really stay long unless they're hungry to see real change in the world, real change in their lives, right?
So today I want to talk about—
and I've been giving you testimonies about, you know, supernatural evangelism, and I'm gonna give you another one, glory to the name of God, before we get started in this.
But, uh, so Jesus' style of demonstrating the supernatural lets us know that we can all operate in the supernatural. And I want to give you, uh, one key that I believe is so important because some, because some of you may have been hearing this and say, how do I unlock power? How do I unlock the supernatural in my life? Um, because some of y'all, again, you just want to buck, shout, speak in tongues, and all of that is good. Again, I've been in church all my life. I'm a classical Pentecostal.
I love church, right?
But I know we got to show up in the world after we get through doing all of that stuff. After you don't fill out in the floor 100 times every Sunday, you in the floor.
Come on, I need you to find some floor space in your house and get in the floor.
You know, you will have a need for the preacher to lay hands on you and knock you out if you got knocked out in the spirit at home and spent some time with God.
I'm gonna just say that right there.
Glory to God, because that's just the truth anyhow. But the real— because again, an adulterous generation looks for a sign. The fact that you are lazy, you are unfaithful, you're looking for a sign. And so that's why you show up at church. But if you really know God, you ain't coming looking for signs. You're looking to be taught and trained and developed and deployed so you can operate in who you are in him. Okay, yeah, let me go, let me go. All right, so we can all operate in the supernatural just like Jesus. I want you to be clear. And you know, it's just amazing to me that again, in our, and our church is a very spirit-led, spirit-driven church, presence-driven. That's our culture.
Glory to God.
But I found even in the churches I planted, I found in traveling around the country for the last 36 years as a full-time minister, I, I have discovered that church folk really and truly don't believe that they actually cooperate in what they see. They think that what they see the preacher displaying— hear me— they think that it is just reserved for him. And I've been teaching for the last 10 days, it's not. These signs will follow them that believe. Right? So you can be in the seat with no title, no office, and cast out a devil. You can be in the seat with no title, no office, and lay hands on the sick and the sick recover. Glory to God. Hallelujah. And so we, we got to grab that idea that we are called, glory to God, to operate in this realm of supernatural power, supernatural anointing, supernatural Authority. Glory to God. Let's pray. Father, we thank you for your word today, and we thank you for another opportunity to teach, to preach, to share, and to encourage your people to engage in the act of evangelism. I believe that there is a remnant of us that yet believe that soul winning is important, and I give you praise and glory for that remnant. Of leaders and believers that will catch fire for real and go into the world and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those that do not know him. And so, Father, we praise you for it, and we give you glory, we give you honor, we give you praise even now. Thank you for the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of the Holy Spirit even as we teach today. Let your anointing take control In Jesus' name, amen.
Listen again, family, if you have not shared this, uh, follow the instructions on the screen.
Like this, share, and please comment below. Let somebody else know about what's happening and how these teachings are blessing your life, right? Glory to God.
Hallelujah.
So here we go. Let's go, let's go, let's go. So let's look first, glory to God, 'Cause many of the testimonies I've seen in demonstrating the supernatural have been powerful.
Let me give you a, a hypothetical example really quick.
Let's say you were in a room with a room full of Muslims or a room full of Jehovah's Witnesses and it was just you and them, and your chief purpose for being in that room is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to cause the heart of those in there with you to desire him or want him. Now hypothetically, if all you did and got up and started talking to these religious people who believe they are right. Glory to God. Who believe that through birth—
glory to God—
many a times Muslims, they believe that this is the religion that I'm supposed to follow. The Quran is the only book they have ever read. You know what? You'll spend a lot of time with debates. You'll spend a lot of time going back and forth, and your results with that room will be minimal. Watch this. Unless you implement the supernatural, because the Obansi—
letikiskoto rabaya—
because the one thing you have that they don't is supernatural power. Glory to God! You have supernatural ability. Praise God!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! You have supernatural authority to tap into your gifts. And if you do that and start prophesying and start praying for sick folk and they start getting healed, it's a different conversation. Because not only do you have word, but you also have demonstration and power. Glory to God. Watch this. What, what if you're in a room, a funeral, what, that was a Muslim person that died and most of the attendees are Muslim and you're there and you pray in the name of Jesus and that person is raised from the dead? Don't you think the, the belief system is going to shift after the eyes see that? And you may say, Apostle, well, I can't. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. You have the power of the Holy Ghost. Jesus told us we can raise the dead. Most of us just not bold enough to try. I'm telling you, every funeral I go to, my hands is on the casket, on the chest of the body, and I'm, I'm praying softly because I want to see a miracle. Glory to the— I want to see the dead raised in that setting. I have seen people who were Glory to the name of God. At the point of death, I went to the hospital and they were on breathing machines and tubes running off through them, and, and the doctor said they got a couple of days. I went in, began to sing worship songs, pray, and the person came back to life. And some of those people still alive today. Now that's great, but the only people that's— that know that happened is the nurses and the people that were around. But if you do that in a funeral, hear me, man, the results you're gonna see is gonna be absolutely phenomenal, absolutely powerful.
Glory to God.
I need somebody in the comments right now to just type power. Glory to God. Because that's what you have. That's what you and I have. And then shout it out of your mouth. Say, I have Power. Glory to God. Power, power, power. Because after the Holy Ghost comes upon you, you shall receive power. No more this dead, crusty religion that has no results. Let me say something to you, all you preachers, that, that we—
and listen, again, I love worship. We spend a lot of time in my church in worship because we want God, man.
We're so hungry. We sing, we go after him, we lift up our hands. Glory to the name of God, because we want him to superimpose himself on us every time we come into service. Well, let me say something to preachers. All this stuff we do, if it doesn't culminate— one, all your singing, all your preaching, all your teaching, all your praying—
if it doesn't culminate with a move of God that transforms somebody's life, Ah, we got a problem, Houston, because at the end of the day, that's what we're there for. We're not there to gather stockholders and shareholders. Glory to God. We're not there— glory to the name of Jesus— to gather folk in a room to see us. Oh no, God no. We want them to see Jesus. We want them to encounter him and experience him.
So we gotta implement power. So again, this was Jesus's style to implement the supernatural. This thing goes beyond reasoning.
It goes beyond, are y'all hearing me, intellectual ability.
It goes beyond, hallelujah, your ability to pontificate and intellectualize and make awesome hermeneutical adjustments of a text. It goes beyond that. We need power. Yeah, I see some folk coming. That's right, Pastor Jasper, we need power. Glory to God.
That's right, Sharia, power, that's what we need. Glory to God.
That's right, Amy, glory to the name of God.
Power, that's what we need.
That's right, Tanya, power. Glory to God. We need power with God. And when you get born again, hear me, power comes with it when the Holy Spirit moves in. And you, we need to start using this power we got. Supernatural is more effective. It's, it's a more powerful tool than just words alone because it reaches directly into the heart and soul of the person on the receptive end. And here's the other catch of that. The moment they experience an encounter of power that changes their life on the spot, they have actually experienced the kingdom immediately. They've gotten a taste of God in that moment.
The only—
the next thing to do, glory to God, is to introduce them to the God that just healed them, the God that just changed them on the spot, right? So what makes—
oh, here we go— it's so powerful, hallelujah, that when we come to this realization of who we are in him and our identity.
Go to—
let's just go to 1 Corinthians 12.
Let's go, let's go, let's just get in it. Let's just talk, enough introduction.
Let's go, 1 Corinthians 12. Y'all stay with me, God. Hallelujah, I'm going somewhere. Glory to God, stay with me on this Saturday afternoon. Glory to God.
The Bible says, and I'm reading out the New Living Translation, it says, it is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. King James says, but all these gifts worketh that one same, selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. So these gifts have been given to us by the Spirit of God. Every person has access. Oh, I need you to say that. Say, I have access.
Glory to God.
Say, I got access. Listen, and I heard that, Father. The Lord said to tell you, you have access to him. Glory to God, you have access to him. But he said to ask you the question, do I have access to you? He says you have access to me, but do I have access to you? Oh, have mercy, Jesus. Listen, for real, does the Lord have access to your life? Oh my God, have you given him full authority to move in you? Have you opened up your life so he could use you? But you got access to everything he's placed inside of you, including himself. So when you're being a witness or being an evangelist, you got to use the advantage of access. Glory to God.
Hallelujah.
Touch yourself again and say, I got access.
Glory to Jesus.
Hear me, hear me. So, and then 1 Corinthians 14:1 says, NIV, he says, follow the way of love. Glory to God, hallelujah. And eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. So he says, now watch this, follow the way of love. Hear that. Hear that, hear that, family. Follow the way of love and desire the gifts of the Spirit eagerly. So in operating in this, whether it be the gift of prophecy, word of wisdom, word of knowledge, word of faith, working of miracles, healing, the gift of discernment, any of these 9 gifts, whichever one you operating in at the moment, it has to be done in love. A prophet is not called to be rude to people or to be mean to people just because you're a prophet. Are, are you hearing this? We have to learn to speak the truth in love. Glory to God. And we have to understand that these gifts are given in love so we can show through these supernatural gifts Love to people who have never experienced the love of Jesus.
My God, today.
My God, today.
Hallelujah.
So how can we unlock this potential?
I'm glad you asked.
How can we tangibly see what's on the inside open up, emerge, come upon us, and be used?
To do it, to help people who need Jesus. Glory to God.
Go to Matthew 14:14. I think the answer is here.
I think the answer lies in compassion, compassion, compassion. It lies in compassion. Matthew 14:14. I'm reading out of the English Standard Version.
Listen to this. You'll find these words. It says, when he went ashore, he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick. So wait a minute, before he started talking to them about the kingdom and about receiving him and receiving the Father and heaven and hell, before he started teaching the tenets of the kingdom of God, he had compassion. He saw the need that they had. He saw the great crowd, and wherever there was sickness in the crowd— hear me— he healed them. So he was moved with compassion. So I'm telling you right now, one of the keys to unlocking this is you got to have compassion for people. Because I said in the first message, part of our lack of compassion is connected to our limited revelation of the value of what Jesus did for us individually. See, when you devalue the work of the cross or you devalue what Jesus did for you individually, oh we, you're never gonna have real compassion for somebody else. But when you see how big that is, when you really, when it's not just a colloquialism, euphemism that you're saved. But when you really realize you're saved for real, you've been rescued. Soteriology teaches us that God— that's the doctrine of salvation— that he has rescued us from sin. He's rescued us from hell and given us a right to the tree of life and given us a right to eternity. So when you realize really how big that is for real, I mean, that's bigger than somebody bringing you a million-dollar check. Because you can get a million dollars today and still go to hell. Y'all ain't got to talk to me here, because at the end of the day, what does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul? Jesus put value on what happened to you right there. And what you got to learn is that your salvation, you being saved, carries great— it's the biggest thing that could ever happen to you. And when you get that You'll see people. I mean, I see people on the street, man, and I'll be praying. If I can't stop, I'm praying because I'm praying that they find God. Lord, let them get saved. Let them find your way. Glory to the name of God. And when I, when I have an opportunity to engage, when I'm in public and the Spirit leads me, I engage. Glory to the name of God. Because that's the capacity. I can't watch my children and my friends go to hell and not speak to them about this Jesus that did the greatest thing ever in my life. You got to increase your value, that your stock needs to go up in that. You ain't got enough stock in the fact that you say— because it's been introduced as a religious idea, and it's way more than that, man.
God have mercy, it's way more than that.
Good afternoon, Vanessa.
I pray to God, Vanessa, that we see you tomorrow for Family and Friends Day. I hope you can get in the house. Glory to the name of God, we're gonna have a great time. Glory to God. And I— that's one of our members, and she, she's, she's, she's been home, and we've been praying. We believe in God for her total healing, her total breakthrough.
We believe in God for total supernatural. I've seen it already working in her life, but I'm believing God for totality. Glory to God.
A supernatural miracle that cannot be denied. Glory to Jesus.
Oh boy, we love you, God. We love you. So you got to have compassion, man. This thing ain't about you and your foe no more. I'm sorry, it wasn't done in the quarter. You're the light of the world. You're a city that sits on a hill that cannot be hid. He had compassion on them and he healed the sick.
See, compassion moves your heart.
It moves your heart toward others, and then it moves everything that's not like God out of the way so the Holy Ghost can work through you freely.
And watch this, it activates spiritual gifts. So that's the first thing that unlocks the supernatural. Glory to God. The second thing that unlocks the supernatural— hear me, oh boy, are y'all ready for this? Is meditation on the scripture. You can't be somebody that all you do is scroll social media all day long, watching TikTok videos, watching Facebook Reels, watching Instagram Reels, continue to creating great valuation in these companies because of your screen time, because that's how they Oh boy, they run the business based on screen time and they can sell ads and they can determine costs based on how many people are on, how many people have subscribed, and we contribute greatly to that, man. But there is a greater connectivity we need. First thing you do when you pick up your phone shouldn't be touching that blue F or that square that looks like a camera called Instagram, or that black T called TikTok, shouldn't be the first thing you touch. If you got Bible on your phone, you should be touching your Bible app. You should be studying. It's a lot of spiritual tools out there for you to use. And if you do go to YouTube, Facebook, find you some word to listen to. Glory to God. Instead of scrolling, trying to be in everybody's life and trying to follow the latest mess. But if you really want to operate in the supernatural, you're going to have to meditate on the scripture. And I'm about to show you, glory to God, because I mean real deal, I'm talking about unlocking the supernatural for real, jaw-dropping, okay, tear-jerking, miracle-making, faith-stirring supernatural stuff. Listen, I prayed for my brother. He had to have— not my natural brother, but my spiritual brother. He's an apostle and he's a great man of God, and I love him. I'm still believing God for this miracle. I'm trying to get his wife on board with this miracle. She on board, she a believer, she— but it's so far-fetched that sometimes when you're living in it, it's hard to accept what God came to do. It's easier maybe to accept this is how it's going to be. But God can do anything.
I'm talking about jaw-dropping stuff. So I'm trusting God.
Watch this, y'all can say, Woods, you is crazy, man, you crazy.
I, I knew it, I knew you were crazy. Okay, I don't care, call me crazy. I'm a fool for Christ, okay?
I am, I am. Call me crazy. You could, you could, you could keep just believing for the low-level mediocre stuff, but my man, my boy My apostle friend, been knowing him for 30-plus years. My guy had to have his both of his legs amputated. Now he has prosthesis that he walks around on, or he has to be in a wheelchair if he doesn't have the prosthesis on. I prayed for him in public one day and declared a supernatural creative miracle for his legs. Now, you know, I'll be seeing people doing the fake leg growing thing, you know. Yeah, yeah, bye. Okay, I'm talking about jaw-dropping miracles that happen.
See, there's a lot of people that operate in false realms.
Glory to God, this ain't what we talking about. I'm talking about operating in real realms where we see real manifestations. Of creative power. I've seen God create things cardiovascularly. I've seen God create things, uh, in the digestive system for people. If he can do that, if he could do that, he can give my man two new legs. I told his wife in the service when I prayed for him, I said, if you catch on by faith, one day you're going to wake up and call me immediately, and you're going to be screaming because you're going to say Hallelujah, my husband has legs. Glory to God.
Because listen, I believe faith can move mountains.
Man, I ain't got the right people.
I got the right people on here with me.
Listen, atansi kato lebande tobu rumunkisa tabaya. We give you praise and we give you glory, we give you honor. Thank you, Jesus.
Oh God, I believe God can work these kind of miracles. And listen, in this hour where we have so many skeptics, so, so many people trying to find something wrong with the church. God knows, I, I just grieved in my spirit when I seen these false people who just jumped on this bandwagon to start trying to crucify Marvin Sapp. It's the stupidest thing in the world. Because these are people that don't even understand what was going on, didn't watch the whole video. And just so happened that thing— I watched the whole video, right? I watched the whole sermon. Marvin preached a great message early in that service.
He gave a very big offering.
Glory to the name of God. Then the second time around, when he was asked to help raise the budget, he gave more than everybody else was given again. First of all, this man doesn't need money. He's a multi-platinum record-selling artist. He don't need that. The close the door part, he never said lock the door. In a convention with that many people in a hotel, you have vendors outside, okay? See, for people that don't go to church, you don't know what's going on anyway. There are vendors outside. Hear me, noise is going on. Giving is an act of worship. It's a sacred, sacred moment. This is why he asked for the doors nicely the first time. To be closed, which they didn't put in the clip, by the way. But when they were operating slothful and disobedient, he got a little more aggressive and said, okay, we need the doors closed because too much noise was coming in. But for somebody to say this man locked them in— oh God have mercy— kidnapped the 4,000 people. First of all, ain't nowhere on Earth in 2025— it's the bloggers are dumb for even writing this crap. In 2025, nowhere on earth are you gonna be able to lock 4,000 Black folk in no room. Y'all ain't got to talk to me here. Glory to God. You couldn't even keep Black folk in the house during COVID because most of them wanted to be outside and they went outside. They didn't care what you said. They didn't care where you said didn't gather. They were trying to go do what they wanted to do. So ain't no way a preacher gonna lock 4,000 folk in a room and make them give money. Come on, man. But, but see, this is the people— them people that are commenting and riding that and sharing it, they don't want to give anyway. They don't want to go to church anyway.
Okay, I'm sorry, I just went off on something else.
Okay, okay, okay, okay. Listen, I'm just telling the truth. Glory to the name of God. The reality is, good God from Zion, we need these kind of miracles. We need sinners to seek God drying up— I've seen him dry up cancer. I've seen him open blind eyes. I've seen him unstop deaf ears. We need to see God do these miracles so that men will believe that he is God. You know that miracle for my boy I'm talking about with his legs? That's a miracle that can't be denied. Because guess what? Ain't nothing the doctor know to do but give him some prosthesis.
God would have to do it.
Hoshabamande de nebesion to branseba. And I declare it to be so in the name of Jesus. So listen, all right, in order to see this unlocked, we— to see this supernatural stuff happen, I'm going to give you something in addition to compassion, that I pray will light a fire upon you.
Glory to God. Hallelujah. Glory to God. That will cause you, praise Jesus, to go out and win souls for God and operate in the supernatural. That you will be deliberate about doing what I'm about to tell you and become an advocate for supernatural power everywhere you go. Glory to God. So what's the secret sauce, Michael? I'm glad you asked. I'm glad you asked. Glory to God.
So the secret sauce, let's go to Joshua 1:8.
It's right in here.
He says, study this book—
New Living Translation—
of instruction continually. He says, meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Now what he's saying is, he said meditate. That word meditate is Haggai.
It's spelled as the same as the book of Haggai. Or the prophet Haggai.
And it means literally to take it in as food, chew it up, swallow it—
watch this—
regurgitate it, chew it some more, swallow it again, which means to continue to process the food over and over again so that it becomes a part of your nature. That's why he says meditate in it, study it, so that it's a part of your nature. So obedience is not a rule. Obedience is first nature because it's a part of who you are.
My God, today, my God, today.
Oh my, sita mandi. He said, I want you to meditate on this. Eat this scripture for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Read it 10 times a day out loud.
Glory to God.
And until it becomes a part of who you are. Glory to the name. Memorize it, chew on it day and night until there are no other choices. There's no lucidity. Glory to God. There's no ambiguity. There's only one way, and it's what God says, and you obey that. And I promise you, he said you will succeed and you will prosper. Glory to God.
I need somebody to help me teach this. Glory to God.
I'm telling you right now, you better meditate on this word. This is what's going to tap you into power. See, when you do this again, it sinks into your heart and it becomes faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So when you're reading it out loud, you're hearing it. Glory to God. When the preacher preaching it, you're hearing it. So get that word and meditate on it and chew it and chew it and chew it and swallow, regurgitate, swallow. Regurgitate until it becomes a part of you. Hallelujah!
I love him. Hallelujah!
And so once you get that, what do you do with that faith?
You know, oh yeah, it's this little thing called operating in the supernatural, right? So when you get that faith, you operate in the supernatural. When you get that faith, glory to God, you understand I gotta go do something. I just can't be a hearer, I gotta now be a doer.
I just want to go back to a couple of verses we've already read in this teaching in the English Standard.
Watch this.
He says now in Mark 16:17-18, and these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they'll cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them. They will lay hands on sick people and they will recover. So wait a minute, if you get that in your spirit, glory to God, and you believe that, I'm telling right now you go out and start operating in it. Because most of what we believe we should be doing— come on, man, I really can't say you believe it if you're not doing it, if you're not adhering to it. Because belief, postuo in Greek, means to be totally confident totally reliant, totally dependent upon that what you believe. So if you're totally reliant, totally dependent upon what you believe, then you're living according to it. And in this instance, it's casting out demons, it's speaking with new tongues, it's laying hand on the sick and they recover, it's taking up poisonous systems and structures. That's what this is about. It's not going out finding a snake Now, if a snake is upon you and it's you and him standing toe to toe, guess what?
Literally, you got power over that snake because you've been given dominion over this snake. Somebody said, nah, Apostle, now I see a snake, I'm running. Well, I mean, hey, if that's, that's what you want to do, do that.
But what if you can't run? What you gonna do then? You gonna operate in what you believe? You better, or You're going to be poisoned because the Bible said you could take up the deadly thing and it won't hurt you. So if he's standing in your face and you ain't got nowhere else to go, you and him, you might ought to grab him and kill him in no fear that he cannot harm you. Glory to God. Or speak to it and command him to go the other way and die because you got power like that. Okay, let me keep reading, uh, Matthew 10 and 8. Okay, Matthew 10 and 8. Let's read, uh, English Standard Version. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. This is Jesus talking to the apostles when he sent them out two by two.
This is the mantra for every believer going into the world doing the work of God.
This is what we ought to be doing.
We ought to be healing the sick, raising the dead, cleansing lepers and casting out demons, right? This is why I'm on this hunt to find the dead bodies I'm supposed to raise. Glory to God! Because listen, if you ain't supposed to die and you were murdered prematurely, glory to God, and you're supposed to get up for the glory of God, and if it's my assignment to call you forth I'm calling you forth. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
Listen, I'm gonna tell you something. When I leave this earth, if any of you listening to me are around, before you call the funeral home, I need you to call me back.
Glory to God. I need you to use the power— glory to God, hallelujah—
that God is giving you to bring me back, just in case it ain't my time, right? Huh? Someone said, wherever you died is your time.
Not necessarily. We need to stop telling that lie at funerals. Well, the Lord took them, it was their time. No, the Lord don't take everybody. Some people are murdered. That's why it's called murder. Murder means that you die before your time. You could be murdered by sickness. Yeah, you can be murdered by cancer. Okay, you can be murdered by a heart attack and it wasn't your time to die. Ain't necessarily a gun that murder you.
Ah, okay, let me keep going, let me keep going. So He said, heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. He said, you receive without paying, give without pay. So we should not be charging people for prophecy. We should not be charging people to lay hands on them. Oh, glory to God. We should not be enterprising the gifts of God because they are used to bring people to him.
Oh my God, today.
Oh my Savior, my Savior and my God. Y'all got that? Yeah, to unlock it, meditate on the scripture so it gets a part of you. So every time you leave the house, your antennas are up and you're sensitive to what God is doing, and you're saying, glory to God, well, where's the person that's supposed to get cleansed from my word, from my testimony today?
Glory to God, where's the demon I'm supposed to cast out?
Glory to God.
See, watch this. Some people want to be seen casting out demons. That's why they only do it in church. And when I tell you the demons I have seen cast out of people that God has led me to pray for people and cast demons out of them outside the church where there was no camera, it's multiple. Glory to God.
But the reality is, it's not for you to be seen.
It's not to put on a show. That's why people stand up in front of church, be talking to demons, and I'm not—
I'm not—
I don't have time to have conversations with demons. No, you're coming out and you're going back to dry places, and we're going to keep doing what we got to do. I'm not going to say, what is your name? We're not doing all that. Really, Jesus asked for a purpose because he was trying to create revelation of the spirit world in that text. He didn't need to sit there. He could have cast those legions out, but he wanted people to understand how many was in this person.
That's not necessary for us to stand and have conversations with demons. Cast them out.
That's what he told us to do—
cast out demons, not get involved and be intimate and have conversation.
Now, and your homie, what's up?
No, what's—
no, we're not doing that. You coming out, you're going back to dry places. And you're gonna liberate this person. You're here illegally. Glory to God. God, we love you. God, we praise you.
So, so, yeah, Matthew 10:8. Let me keep going. 1 Corinthians 14:1.
Watch this, we already read those. I'm gonna read again, English Standard Version.
Pursue love, earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.
I'm reading again for that effect. Prophecy is a powerful tool. To bring people to God. Here's what I need to understand, you know, I, I get it, you know, when people do this, and I believe that God can give you people's personal information like their name, their address. And now the reason I believe that, because he's done it to me on a few occasions in my entire 35 years prophetic, of prophetic ministry, that's happened a few times. Now, there are people out here though who have built their whole ministry on showing up at a church, and when they're prophesying, they call a name of a person or family, and they'll have the people come up, run around, and give them a word and all this. But most of the time, if it is real, first of all the information that that person, the prophet, is releasing, that person already knows. So at most, it's building their faith in something else that needs to be said. Secondly though, a lot of times it's not real. A lot of times people have gone to social media, going to church page, look at the name of the members that are coming on different posts, go to those different members' page, and then they kind of say, okay, well, I got a word from them, got to work from there. And then they come to church and they give a word to people, or they'll sit in the pulpit or the congregation before they preach and start looking. And I'm just— yeah, I'm busting the bubble. Yeah, I'm sorry, because I've seen them do it. Yeah. And they'll look at pictures of people on social media. You're supposed to be getting ready to preach, but you're on social media looking at pictures of people who are connected to that ministry you're in. You see their name, you see things that they're currently going through, you see they just lost a loved one or whatever. so that's convenient to prophesy to them. Why not say, okay, I saw your face on Facebook and I saw you just lost someone. Here's what God says. See, when we start sensationalizing stuff and going too far— are y'all hearing this? It turns people off from the prophetic. But the prophetic is a powerful tool for unbelievers. Because if you meet somebody and God starts talking to you about them, their situation, their divorce, their family, what's going on in their body, their doctor's visits— I, I've seen it all because God is using me to do it—
it changes how they receive you.
Because they're like, how did you know that?
And then you give glory to God.
I didn't know it.
The Holy Spirit know it, and he told me to encourage you in these areas. And that you need to receive him, and that's what's going to be the thing that changes. It makes evangelism so easy. That's why he said especially prophecy. But most folk that prophesy here, again, they want to come to church and prophesy and show you they're a prophet and ain't got no—
oh my God— soteria proof of their prophetic ministry, because all they do is prophesy in churches.
But it's not limited to that.
And I said it yesterday, the supremacy of it happens when you show up in the world with this gift working in your life. See, when I think about meditating on scriptures like that, it gets my blood pumping because the word is alive. The Bible said in Hebrews, it's sharper than any two-edged sword. Listen, I want you to Imagine yourself stepping out in faith, operating in the prophetic, operating in miracles, operating in power, and seeing people saved. It's waiting for you.
It's, it's right there.
The question is, are you ready to take the plunge? Yeah.
Are you ready to jump in with both feet and reach a people that needs what you carry?
My time is gone, guys. I gotta go. But the world is waiting on us. Hallelujah! The Bible says in Romans, I think it's 8 and 14, 15, something like that. Yeah, it is the earnest expectation of the creature that they waited for the manifestation of the sons of God. So the creation is waiting for us to come forth. It's waiting for us to come out of the closet. Get out of that salt shaker. You're the salt of the earth.
Get out of that lighthouse.
Hallelujah. And make up your mind, you're gonna change the world that's been assigned to you. Let's pray today. Father, in Jesus' name, Oh God, I thank you for this word. I thank you for your people. I thank you for every person that joined us today. And Father, I give you praise, I give you glory for your anointing. I thank you for stirring in the belly of your people a mind to win souls, a mind to change lives, a mind to do a new thing, a mind to break through in ways we haven't broke through to others. God, first of all, I'm asking you to release the love of God upon every person under the sound of my voice, that they may operate in a high level of compassion, and that when they see people that need you, they will be moved with compassion. And secondly, God, I'm asking you to place high value— oh God, have mercy— on the thing that you've done for them The thing that you've done for us, you've saved us, God.
So help us to increase the value we have in that. So many times we take it for granted. Oh, we say, we go to church, we read our Bible, we go to Bible study.
But God, let us put a high value on that as something very authentic and significant in our life that we know is something we should be sharing with others. And so we praise you. And we glorify you, and we macrograph your great name. You're wonderful, you're glorious, you're awesome, you're mighty. In Jesus' name we pray, amen and amen. I pray, guys, that these 10 days have been a blessing to you. You know, we got to get back to bringing people to God. The church is not just an institution. Glory to God! The church is a place of deployment where we should be getting people ready to go into the world and share the gospel. I'm telling you, I said it yesterday, the mantle of Jesus and the mantle of Billy Graham is still in the earth. Billy Graham was a true evangelist. There are some that operate in this arena on big stages and things like that, but that mantle is for you and I. To operate on personal levels to bring people to God. Listen, I love y'all so much, I really do, man. And this is our opportunity to give once again in these Bible studies. And this is outside of your normal tithing and offering. I just want you to get seed in the ground. I want you to sow a seed saying, hey, I appreciate God for what I'm receiving and what he's been doing for me over these last 10 days. And listen, it's going to come back to— this is a seed for the souls you got to witness to, that they— oh my God— and that they will be the harvest. And I don't have an amount, but whatever God leads you to give— I'm going to put the ways to give on the screen, and, and I'm not going to plead with you. Glory to God. I'm just going to ask. I'm going to ask you to be a blessing to the kingdom. I'm going to ask you, uh— Pastor Jasper is putting the ways to give in the comments as well. Glory to God. And we need you to get seed in the ground. Let's plant a seed for souls. While you're doing that and thinking about it, we got some great things planned at our church. First of all, I want to encourage you, glory to the name of God, to join us on tomorrow. Glory to God. Join us on tomorrow. It is our family and friends gathering. I am super excited about this gathering. The flyer is on the screen. Listen, it's going to be great. It's going to be a blessing. You need to be in the house. Rhoda Church is located at 410 Santa Fe Trail in Ellenwood, uh, right in DeKalb County on the DeKalb-Henry line. So if you're in Henry County or DeKalb County or the city of Atlanta, you're really close to us, closer than you think. We're very near. And even if you're far away, a church alive is worth the drive, for real. I've been saying that for years. Glory to the name of God. I have to say I've been saying it for years because if I said and then other people are saying it, then they're gonna think, you know, but even though it don't matter, I mean, but yeah, I've been saying it for years. So Church Alive indeed is worth the drive, and so you need to be with us and come share with us on tomorrow. It's going to be phenomenal. Please keep, um, us in prayer. Glory to God. As we go forward in the things that God has called us to do as a church, we got a great weekend plan for Easter, uh On Friday the 19th, on Good Friday, we're going to have a special, a night of healing and deliverance with communion. It's going to be a great Good Friday service. Want you guys to make sure, uh, you're in place and you're inviting people out. It's going to be a powerful move of God. And then that Saturday from 10 to 2, we're going to have a community day. We're working on all the publication for that now. Glory to the name of God. Where we're going to have a community— we'll have the young people come out with the bouncy things. We'll have a stage set up in the back. Glory— we're gonna have food outside. Glory to the name of God. And we're going to minister to our community. My barber has agreed— I'm so grateful— to come during that time and give out free haircuts to little boys. Glory to God. Right on site. So it's going to be a great day on that Saturday. I'm believing God for people to be born again, people to get to see where we are, and they could come and be a part of the ministry. And then on Easter Sunday, we're going to have our resurrection service. So make plans, man, to join us and to be in these special occasions. Glory to the name of God! We're celebrating our First Lady's birthday. Uh, her birthday is April 5th, but on that Sunday, April 6th, we're going to have some special things for her that day. So just come, make plans to spend these next few weeks with us. It's going to be real good.
If you haven't been planning on visiting Now's the time for you to visit. Glory to God.
So as you sow, you're getting seed in the ground to help us fund these things that we are doing. I'm not taking any of your money. Glory to the name of God. I didn't lock the doors.
Glory to Jesus.
I'm asking you to freely give. And Marvin didn't lock them neither. So just, just so you know, the doors never were locked. He said close them. Watch the video. Glory to God. I ain't gonna even get on that no more. I didn't say my peace about that, but I love y'all. Father, bless every gift and every giver, every person that's sowing now. God, let that money come back to them a thousand times more. I command it. I release a spirit of liberality over this live stream, uh, over Facebook, over YouTube, over Instagram. Whoever's watching, I release a liberal spirit to get seed in the ground. And so, Father, we give you praise, we give you glory. We give you honor, God, and we thank you that your word is right. We should give, and it will be given unto us good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall men give unto our bosom. And we thank you for it now, in Jesus' name.
Amen.
Amen. That's right, Minister Tanya, Church Alive is worth the drive, for real. We love y'all.
I'm gonna see y'all in the morning at 9.
Glory to God. We're gonna have a great time in the Lord. Y'all be blessed. Heaven smile upon you is my prayer. Peace out, man.
