"THE POWER OF WORK" | DR MIKE WOODS SR | 22 FEB 23

Dr. Mike Woods Sr. teaches the difference between labor (trading time for money) and kingdom work (God-ordained purpose with lasting legacy). He presents the formula Work + Walk + Worship = Wealth, using biblical passages to show how diligence and aligning your lifestyle with your purpose unlocks financial overflow.

Yes, he's a sweet, amazing God. We give you glory, God. Jesus, Father, we bless you, we thank you for your presence right now. We give you glory, God, for being here with us. We can do nothing without you. We worship you and we adore you, God. We bless you, we bless you, we honor your name, we honor your name. Come on, worshiper, just worship him, love on him, love on him. Oh, yes, God, we bless your name. Thank you for being a great and mighty and sweet God. Hallelujah! We bless you, we honor you, Lord. Father, bless us today as we plunge into the heart of your word. Speak to us God. Let us experience the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of the Holy Spirit. Do something in this room that man cannot do. Saturate our hearts with your presence, with your power, with your anointing. And Father, I pray for every person that will join this live. I pray that as we preach the word, the anointing that is here would superimpose itself upon them there. And we bless you for it today in Jesus' name. We give you glory and honor. Amen. And thanks be to God. Hallelujah. We bless your name, Jesus. What a mighty God we serve. Bible is so clear that there's none like him nowhere. He's perfectly and absolutely wise. And he's sweet. I know. Hallelujah, Jesus, I love you. I love you. Yes, Lord. I love the Lord today. Yes, Lord. Yes, Jesus. In such, in such a special way. Oh, that's why Come on, let's magnify. Come on, tell the Lord there's one. We pray. Come on, say this with your heart, my mind, my soul. Come on, sing to Jesus, my mind. Come on, sing, my soul. Come on, tell him you paid the price for me way back on Calvary. Come on, come on, sing. That's why I praise you, I lift you up. And I magnify. Come on, tell the Lord. That's why we pray. Yes, God, we love you, Father. We love you, we love you, we love you, Jesus. Yes. There's none like you nowhere. Oh, precious Jesus, we love you. Precious Jesus, we love you. We love you, we love you. Our heart is filled with praise. Come on, sing! There's one Ooh, come on, tell him again. That's why, that's why my heart, my mind, my soul belongs to you, Jesus. Oh, that's why. Paid the price for me on Calvary. Yes, that's why my heart is filled with praise. Hallelujah, God! Oh, Jesus! You've been so good to me, Jesus. Oh yeah, man, better to me than I've been to myself. And that's why I worship you. You saved me, you filled me, you came into my heart, Jesus, for real. And that's why I worship you. That is why the heart is filled with praise. Hallelujah, Jesus! We bless his name. Come on, just worship him a few more moments. The King is here. We love you, Lord. Jesus! We love you, we love you, we love you, we love you, Jesus, Jesus! We love you, my God, we love you, we love you, God! So in love with you, Jesus! Ah yeah! So in love with you, so in love with you. We love you, God. We love you, we love you, we love you. I love you, God. Jesus! We love you, we love you, we love you, we love you, we love you, we love you, I say— Love you with all our heart, Jesus. Love you with all our hearts, Jesus. E amadio sotayo. We love you, we love you, we love you, oh la basaya. That's why my heart is filled with praise. Thank you, God. Thank you, God. Hallelujah. I'm going to attempt to teach this. I love the Lord, and beside him there is no other. Glory to God. He's a wonderful God. Glory to God. This afternoon, glory to God, again we'll continue our series on Overflow of Finance. And every time I go to try to teach this a different way, the Lord kind of interrupts and gives me something totally different. And so he told us the first week that we got to occupy. Somebody say occupy. So if you're going to occupy, that meant to be— to do business We learned that means to do business. Glory to God. To be aligned with God's plan and to do what he says in obedience until he comes. And we understood that if we increase in occupancy and obedience to God, that what we need from him really becomes sweatless. Glory to God. So that was the first principle of financial overflow. We gotta occupy. Say that again. Say occupy. Come on, say it one more time. One more time. Glory to God. So, so, because really that text we talked from with that, uh, it challenged us again to change our mentality, our methodologies. And we understood that the formula was if you change your mentality, your methodologies, you'll also have different manifestations. So if you change your mentality concerning finances and overflow, and you change your methods pertaining to money, you actually will have, glory to God, good manifestations, right? Glory to God. And then last week, uh, we talked about vision. It is impossible to have an overflow of finances if you can't see that. You have to perceive it, you have to desire it. You have to know that it belongs to you. Say that with me. Say, overflow of finance belongs to me. And you got to pray through to vision until you can see yourself. I've been replaying a word, glory to the name. And you know, this is a word my son Apostle Cornelius gave to me, uh, in Mississippi a few months back, but it was a confirmation of words that have been spoken on my life over the last 20 years. And I just been playing it back, and every time I play it, I get moved to tears because I, I see clearly the word better now than I did 20 years ago. I actually see how it's going to happen. I can see myself living in that place. He prophesied some things about me being not just a millionaire but a billionaire, about all of the books that we would write, about how the mantle of Miles Monroe was on my life and I would go farther than And you know, all of those things I actually see happen, you know, with the churches we're planting, with the things we're writing, you know, with, with the business that God has blessed us with. I see those things really coming to pass. He prophesied about a plane, and I was like, okay God, you know, you got to get a vision, you got to see it, you got to own it before you occupy it. Glory to God. And so today I'm going to give you another principle, and maybe the Lord, before this is all over, Let me just give you some, some practicalities about creating financial overflow and wealth. But we need these principles because these principles again speak to our mentality. And when we again apply these principles, uh, that we shift in our mentality with to our methods, how we do things— glory to God— what we'll then see is a manifestation of God's promise on our life for real. So today, glory to Jesus, I want to talk about work. There's no way you can overflow your finances if you don't have a work ethic. And I want to start out by saying this: all labor ain't work. Labor many times has been misdefined as work. I'm gonna say it one more time: all labor is not work. Most people make a linear income where they change— exchange their time for money. They show up at a job and they labor because at the end of the week, in the two weeks, end of the month, how they get paid based on the amount of time they give their employer there's going to be an exchange for their time in financial resource. I want to submit to you, you can never walk in real overflow of finance being a laborer working for someone. It just don't happen often. There are some people that got very good jobs, and while they work they tend to invest and do other things on the side, and they can create financial overflow outside of that job. Listen, I said this before, I said it again: God is only limited to your job if you, if you want him to be. But you can have way more than what you make in a linear realm. Okay, maybe I'm in the wrong place today. Okay, y'all keep, keep laboring. Glory to God. But I'm telling you right now, it ain't work. All you're doing is laboring, because labor is any effort that is exerted mentally or physically that's a means— watch this— to a temporary end. The reason I said temporary, because once you exchange in linear exchange your time for that money, most of the time most people are living from paycheck to paycheck. So it's a temporary end. You got to get up and go do the same thing again. Oh, y'all ain't got to say much. Okay, I know I'm like a prayer before I got here. You got to say that. You gotta get them, go do the same thing again so you get that same money. That ought to become mundane. That ought to become boring to you. It ought to be something in you that says every time you punch the clock, I want more. It'll be something on the inside of you that says, there's more to my life than giving these people 80% of my day to create this check. Oh God. And I'm gonna tell you, there is more. There is real work for you to do. Watch this. Work, energē in Greek, it is an effort exerted spiritually, mentally, physically, that is a means to it. Or, or intellectually that is a means to a permanent end. Most times labor requires no intellect. Most people that hard labor, they got to think too much about— just pick something up, just pick it up, move a box, glory to God, pick it up, throw a brick somewhere, glory to God. That hard labor doesn't necessarily take much thought because again, it's— that's just what it is. It's labor that leads to a temporary end. To do. But real work is a permanent end that produces legacy. Glory to God. Oh my God. That causes those that come behind you to enjoy the fruit of your work. So today I'm going to talk about the power of work. Say that with me. Say, there is power in work. I didn't say labor, I said work. I hope you understand the difference, because Jesus is my name, Michael Woods. Somebody watch this, and in the morning when they get up, they'll call somebody, say, I'm going to work. Glory to God. But that ain't where you're going. You're going to labor. If where you're going is not producing a permanent end, if it's not exerted spiritually, mentally, and intellectually It's labor. Yeah, so I said, well, I think on my job I'm smart, I got a degree in computers, I got— listen, I understand, but if it's not a means to a permanent end, and if it's not what God ordained, it's merely labor that puts you in a linear position to exchange time for money. That's what we were taught. Matter of fact, in most households we were taught, go get your education, go to school, get your diploma. If you ain't going to college, go find you a good job and work it so you can take care of yourself. That's what we were taught. But really, we were taught to labor. God never ordained for us to be— and we're gonna see this in a minute when we start looking at scripture— employed. He wants us deployed. Deployment suggests I am working in alignment with God as a co-laborer with him to bring to pass his desire for me in my life. Touch yourself and say, I gotta go to work. Say, there's power in work. Now what I'm going to do, I'm going to kind of preach backwards today. I'm gonna— and I've done this before— this is called exegetical preaching. So what I'm going to do, I'm going to give you the points first, then at the end I'm going to read the scriptures. Is that okay? Glory to God. Because at the end of the day, I want you to understand this formula. And then when I get to the scripture, because I don't want to break the scriptures down, what I want to do is read the scriptures to you and you absorb them as the word. Hear me. And you have them in your mental Rolodex so you understand what work is and the power that lies with in work. So watch this, there's a, there's a formula: work plus your walk plus worship equals wealth. I'll say it again: your work plus your walk plus your worship work— watch this— equals wealth. So let's start with the work of kingdom citizens. This is the formula for overflow of finances. The first thing is your kingdom work, and we're gonna see that in scripture. It's never your decision, it's always your discovery. So you can go out and find labor and say, I'm gonna work here because they paying good. You go to your job, child, they paying $40 an hour and I got benefits. Labor. Glory to God. If it ain't what God ordained, that's labor. But the work of Kingdom citizens is not your decision. You have to pray through to discover and say, God, what am I on this planet to be working on? God, what have you called me to work on? The— watch this— that nobody else can work on but me. God, where am I authenticated in a significant way, in a unique way, where I can work this better than anybody else? Because I submit to you, there's a work for every kingdom citizen to do. It's unique to you, it's unique to your gifting, it's unique to your personality, it's unique to what placates you, what stimulates you, what pushes you. What makes you go. There's some things you can look at in the world, it just stimulates you and you want to change it. That may be a sign of your work. Touch yourself. I gotta go to work, man. Yeah, I ain't talking about it at your job. I'm talking about you got to go to work in the kingdom. So some folks trying to find a job— no, find your kingdom purpose. Because your kingdom work, again, is never your decision, it's your discovery. Our kingdom work— hear this— is deeply rooted. Say deeply rooted. Deeply rooted in our preordained life. There is something that God preordained for you before you even got to earth. There's something he wants you to do that he been planning on you doing before you was ever born. Jeremiah 1:5 says, before I formed you, not after you got in there, before you got in there, he says, I knew you. And we're new as yada in Hebrew. Y'all heard me teach you before, I'm not going to teach it, but I want you to understand something. Yada means he knew you, he was intimate with you, he was up close and personal with you. Glory to God. He had conversations with you, he set a plan up for your life. Touch his head and say, he knows me. He knows— he said this— so he knows where I am and he knows where I'm going, and he knows the work I should be doing. I need you to get that. He knows what you should be doing. And guess what? I'm gonna venture to say, and I think some people don't do the work they're born to do because they just don't know that there really is a work they're supposed to be doing, because we got a lot of mimics. A lot of copycats, a lot of people trying to do what they figure— if that person's successful at it, I'm gonna do what they doing, I'm gonna do what they doing because they making a lot of money, I'm gonna get on that hustle. Well, at the end of the day, God has something that's more fulfilling than just your side hustle, than just you trying to make a lot of money, because real work ain't about the money, it's not about the finance, it's about being fulfilled. It's about finding joy in what you do. The money is just the benefit of the joy you get from serving God in it. Oh my God, here's the power of this kingdom work. Once you tap into it, what God does, he gives you clarity. One, to what it is, and then two, he gives you strategy on how to finish it, how to do it, how to get it done, how to complete it. Somebody shout strategy! Oh, how to complete it. I am convinced that there will be people in this world, there'll be people in life that will always be stuck where they are. They'll never go beyond their present place. That's why in history it is— my point has been proven. So many have died and never tapped financial overflow, never never receive. Watch this, particularly people in the church who said they're saved. You know why? I said it last week, because we come into the church and instead of us hearing the word, receiving the word, and then going out and applying the word, we come in church preoccupied with being religious. Most people that enter in churches don't even believe the word is real. Because they never operate in it. You can't tell me you believe it work if you ain't working with it, you ain't operating it, you're not obeying it. How can you make me believe that that works for you and you're not doing it? Some people gonna always be broke, they're gonna always be struggling, they're gonna always be running from this gig and that job and running from place to place. They're all— they're gonna always have debt because they won't apply the principle. They won't tap into God enough to get clarity. I'll tell you, it's the truth. It's a sad reality. But God says he wants us to finish the work. So that's the Kingdom work. But what's the walk? But once I discover the work, it gives birth to a lifestyle, a walk, a way of living that reflects my vocation from the King. So how I live, how I move, how I act, how I dress, what I say should reflect the person I'm representing. If— listen, if I am— you know, you got people that, like, now, like, nowadays, people don't believe in articles of clothing. They don't think it's just okay to look nice. The reality is there's a problem, glory to the name of God, with who, who we represent, because we think we're just representing ourselves. But image is everything. If you look to the royal family, there's a, there's a walk, there's a lifestyle, glory to the name of God, that those people exemplify. That's right, they look like royalty. Most saved folks look like they about to steal something. And I'm like, how in the world you telling me you say you like— you about to run out the door with something right now? I mean, I ain't talking about it being name brand or none of that. I'm talking about you could— you can go to Walmart and look neat. Y'all ain't got to say that. You can— you can— you can go to the cheapest store out there and still look decent. That's right. But these folks don't want to wear no clothes now. That's a problem. That, that ought to be a walk. There ought to be a behavior that reflects my work. Watch this. You go to a job and labor. Those of you watching, those of you here, you go to a job and labor, there's certain ways you've got to act on that job. You can't go to the job showing out. They gonna put you out. They're going to fire you if they got a no pants sagging off your butt rule at the job. You're gonna put a belt around your waist when you go to work, but as soon as you get out, you snatch off the belt and pull it down over your— come on now, come on now. The reality is there ought to be a walk that reflects our deployer, which is our king. And my wife retired from the post office. The people that she managed had to wear a certain uniform. If those carriers came in there with their civilian clothes on, she was going to send them out the door because there was a walk they had to have. Oh, come on now, the carryman. Unless you're a plainclothes police officer, a detective that's undercover, guess what? You got to wear a uniform. There's a walk you gotta reflect. There's a behavior even in how you look. Because we're doing the work, people ought to know. I ain't talking about— now, it's some folk that took this to the extreme. You, I mean, these folk, you could tell they were saved. And Pentecostal. But in the end, because I grew up in Pentecostal church, dress was gonna always be down to their ankle. And no matter where they was going, if they even— they're going out to a casual outing, they're gonna put on a skirt and gonna be a blue jean skirt with some white tennis shoes. You, you, you knew who they were. Oh, they Pentecostal, they holiness. You knew it. Glory to the name of God. Here's the issue. I don't really knock that. I knock the extremity. I think you should have a balance in your head to know I'm representing the King. I need to look like I represent. I need to behave like I'm representing him. That's right. That's what you can't— you— how you gonna tell me you work for the King and you cussing out waitresses? I mean, or you acted a fool in restaurants and in public. That's not representative of your work. Why is it there's certain even jobs where you labor where if you do something in the public, there's a behavior clause in your contract where your job can fire you because you're misrepresenting their company. Even nowadays, there's certain stuff if you work with some corporations, you can't even post on social media because it violates company policy. Listen, let me tell you something. When we serve the King, there ought to be a walk that aligns itself. That's right. Oh my God, let me go. So the walk becomes— watch this— so from our work we develop a walk, and that walk is developed into worship. So you don't look at it as legalistic duty when you're behaving right before God. When you're choosing holiness over sin. Because so often sin will come in your face and tempt you to choose it. But only thing you gotta do is remember who you're working for. If you know it's wrong, you work with some women at, at your job and y'all laboring together. Men can't just sleep around with the women at the job. That's called sexual harassment. Glory to the Lord. You can't do that. So why is it that in, in the kingdom we think we can work for God and just walk any kind of way? Your walk becomes a worship lifestyle. I'm not talking about the songs we sing and lifting up our hands and giving God glory. Worship is a lifestyle. You choose to work for God and walk with God it becomes worship toward God. I know some people that can worship real well, sing well, lift their hands well, go through the motions, cry well, do church real good, but they have no work in the kingdom. They have no walk with God, and God knows they ain't living a life that is dedicated to worship him. The scripture said present your body a living sacrifice. Holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. That scripture is about worship, because anytime worship happens, something has to die. In the Old Testament, you couldn't come before worship God and worship if nothing died. That's why Paul said mortify the members of your flesh. You gotta put your body down in worship and say, I want this, it looks good, it feels good, but God, no. I want you more. You have to decide, God, I want you more than this. And listen, your determination to say— I know y'all said, I want to learn how to overflow, but you— if I teach you that, you're not going to get it. If you're, if you're living like the devil, God can't trust you with more because your character is going to blow it up. Why would God give a man that got 5, 6 hoes a whole bunch of money? Because he gonna spread the money around them hoes. Are y'all hearing this? He gonna trust you with that. Glory to God. Because your priority, your character is immature. Why would he trust a man? Glory to the name of God. Listen, that's why men that tap into those arenas and do it, they build their own success to do it. Ain't no help from God. I'm talking about supernatural overflow that comes into your life, of finances that come from him. You got to have a walk. We're going to see it in a minute in scripture. You got to have a life that's dedicated to worship so that purity is flowing out of your life. Watch this. So when your work, your walk, and your worship aligns You present your body, your bios life, a living sacrifice. When you lay that, that your life on the altar and say, God, I want this, I like this, it looked good, it made me feel good, but take it, and you kill it. God says, now I can trust you with overflow of finance. Work, walk, worship equals the wealth. The Bible says that God will take us into a wealthy place. If God says he's going to bring us into our wealthy place, that means he's going to bring us into it, right? God is holy. God is righteous. How can he bring you into a wealthy place and you doing your own thing? You're detached from him. You're not following him. At most, you're following religion. At most, you're following your favorite preacher online or on TV. Glory to God. Hallelujah. But God says, I'm gonna— most people you follow already wealthy. Hallelujah. Glory to God. You got to make up in your mind you're going to tap in, plug in, so you can get what God has for you. That's the formula for overflow finance. Work. Say it. Say kingdom work. Kingdom work. Say it leads to a kingdom walk. Then kingdom worship, where I lay down my life for God. Say that equals wealth. Oh boy, because guess what? If you got God— the God kind of work and a walk, and your life is offered up as worship to God You have wealth that never fades. It's eternal wealth. It's not corruptible. As long as the earth remains, the wealth that you receive will be in the earth. Oh, I love that. Glory to God. So let's look at some scripture. I told you I was gonna put the scriptures on the back, which means I'm almost done. Say that with me. Say, he's almost through. Glory to God. Colossians 3:23. I'm gonna work real hard not to dig in these too much. Colossians 3:23 says, whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. So the Bible says, whatever you go to do, whatever you find your hands to do, to work When you're working for the Lord, he said do it with all your heart. It amazes me how we can put all our heart in everything else, but when it comes to the work of God, we can't put our heart in it. We have give God things. You ever been in them churches where they get up and the, the choir gets up to sing and they said, please take all our mistakes and love. Glory to God. They ain't rehearse, they ain't did nothing. If you going to have a choir, rehearse. You going to have a praise team, rehearse. That's right. You know, people in the world, they don't, they don't want to hear that, that taking mistakes in love. They listening to good music. Them, them worldly artists are practicing. So we got to put our whole heart into what we're doing. Preacher preaching half studied. Can't hardly read the scripture he reading. At least learn how to read. Okay, you called to preach, I get it, you got the anointing. Now go get you a tutor and get some literacy. Do it with all your heart. You got to jump into God's word with both feet. Glory to God. He said not— so in other words, he said, I don't want you working for me like you work for human masters. Because when you work on a job, everybody that has worked a job before— and when I worked the job, I've done it too— you found a way not to work. Yeah, y'all quiet. Okay, okay, that's all right. When I was working for people, I used to always find a way to go do something else. I'll be somewhere reading the Bible every chance I get, studying. I'll be somewhere working on another business. Because I really didn't want to be there anyway. But that's how we do when we're working for man. God said, I don't want that. I want you— I want all of your heart, all of your mind, your will, your emotions, all your passion poured into the work. I said I'm gonna tear it on these. Go to Ephesians 4:28. My God, listen to this. The Bible said anyone who has been stealing shoplifting, embezzlement, robbery, burglary, whatever you call it. Glory to God. He said, must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. God's talking about overflow right there. He said he wants you to have plenty of money to give away all the time. Well, the only way you're going to do that, you got to stop stealing. Somebody said, Pastor, I ain't no thief, I don't steal. Well, if you, if you're doing what everybody else is doing, you stole the idea of labor. You're stealing the idea of the labor for money. And God said, no, you're not, you're not to labor, you must work. There you go again, energies. You must exert energy from your intellect, your mind, your spirit. That's a means to a permanent end. Otherwise, you're stealing. When you get money— oh boy, this is heavy— outside of God's way, it's stealing. Oh boy, we don't even talk about how People steal the tithe. Glory to the name of God. And, and I said, okay, they going to work, they're going to labor, and won't even bring God the 10%. They still— Bible said, well, the man robbed God. The Bible said here, anyone who has been stealing, don't steal no more. Go to work, find— watch this— your place in the kingdom, your kingdom work, work on it so you have plenty of money. To give away all the time. Say that with me. Say, Lord, come on, say, in the name of Jesus, say, money is not an issue for me. Say, I have plenty of money to give away all the time. Say, I'm not a thief, I'm not a robber, I steal no more. So I have plenty, I have overflow of finances. In Jesus' name. Hallelujah. All right, go to John 16:27. We're moving. Watch this. He says, do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life. Oh, he said, which the Son of Man will give you, for on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. So your work in the kingdom is inside of your relationship with Jesus Christ. He said, don't be working for temporal stuff that'll spoil. Don't be laboring for things that will not last. He said, but work for— I just told you— eternal wealth, eternal fruit that'll stay in the earth as long as the earth remains. I'm trying to tell y'all something. God wants to bless you so that what make, what you create, the wealth that you bring forth, it is alive as long as the earth remains. Glory to God. Why? Because God says the work that I give you is eternal, and the seal of approval— watch this— is on that work. So that means some of the stuff we do really wasn't approved. We just did it because we didn't know any better. We just did it because we didn't have a relationship with God that was tight enough to hear what his word was. So we didn't understand what he approved. But I want to challenge you today: pray through to approval. Glory to God. Galatians 6, verses 4 and 5. Watch this. Each one should test their own actions, then they can take pride in themselves alone without comparing themselves to someone else. For each one should carry their own work. So God said it's wrong to compare yourself to other people. The Bible said take your intersect— take pride in your kingdom work when you discover it. And prove your work, test it so you know it's yours. Glory to God. He said each one should carry his own work. I have something to do that's different than what you have to do. Those watching, I got something to do different than what you have to do. But here's the problem: we got a lot of people who not carrying their load. And because they compare themselves to other people and they spend their time trying to be like them and copy them and do what will make them acceptable to everybody else Touch yourself. Say, I got to carry my own load. Okay, Psalm 90:17. We're talking about the power of work. Glory to God. May the favor of the Lord rest on us— watch this— and establish the work of our hands. Yes, establish the work of our hands. The word establish is a Hebrew word that says make prosperous. Us, make cause to last forever. I told you this work is eternal. It stays in the earth as long as the earth is here. He says, let the Lord establish the work when you start doing. Let him make it long, let make it last forever. He said, may the favor of the Lord rest on us. It comes through favor with God. That's why you got to have a walk. That's why your walk has to be worship, because the favor of God rests on your walk, on your worship. Glory to God. Proverbs 12:11: Those who work their land— watch this— will have abundant food. Listen to this. He said those who work their land. Did I just tell you every individual person has a land a purpose that they are supposed to be working. You got to find your lane, stay in it, and work it. Watch this. But those who chase fantasies have no sense. The King James calls them fools. It's a fool to chase a fantasy. In other words, there's fantasies of the enemy to real work. There are people chasing fantasies every day, chasing dreams every day, because you got a lot of people out here selling dreams. So people start chasing fantasies, chasing dreams, and not necessarily what's on God's mind for us. The Bible said we're fools. I can admit I don't chase some fantasies before. I don't chase the stuff that I thought would be good for me, good with my family, good with my life. And God said, no, sir, you gotta, you gotta chase what I told you is yours. Oh God, he said you have no sense to me do that because there's a real work that God has called you to by Jesus that you ought to be chasing. I had to go. Proverbs 13:4. Y'all write these down, you'll need them. Here we go. A sluggard's appetite is never filled. So a lazy person's appetite is never satisfied, never fulfilled. A lazy person never gets what they want. It's lazy not to develop your relationship with God enough where you can hear his voice concerning the work. Oh boy, I ain't talking about doing the work yet. I'm talking about having enough diligence and discipline to pursue the face of God so you can get clarity about the work. Because the Bible said if you don't have clarity about the work and you're lazy, your appetite will never be filled. You'll always be doing something and never be fulfilled. You'll always be hungry for more, always thirsty for something else, because you're not in the right vein, you're not in the right flow. And God says, I don't want you there. Okay, let me, let me just walk around this right quick because, glory to God, so because at the end of the day, God doesn't want us doing that. He doesn't want us going in circles and never being fulfilled. And there are a lot of people, that's how they're like, look, just got me going in circles. That's what they're doing. That's what, that's what's happening. Because, and then they complain, God, I'm praying, I never get answers. God, I'm tired of this job. I can't wait till 5 o'clock. You know why? Because the spirit of laziness is never filled. Watch this. But the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied. So those of us that choose to be diligent— the Bible said the diligent soul is made fat. We experience increase. That the word satisfied or fat there means fat, rich, which means you have way more than enough. Again, you have enough for you and to give away because you fully satisfied. Oh, that's why I want to be here. I want to be fully satisfied. But I gotta have discipline. I gotta be diligent. That's why, you know, even though the fast is over, you should still get up at 5 and pray, because at the end of the day, that's being diligent. That's not doing this. That's saying, God, I'm gonna keep coming after you because my appetite is for more. I don't want to just be religious and go to church and go through the motions. I want to see a manifestation of your word for real in my life. Philippians 4:13, let's go. The Bible says, I can do all things through him who gives me strength. Let's stop right there. The, the thing said I can do— wait a minute, that means God ain't going to do the work for you. That mean Holy Ghost is not going to do the work for you. That means Jesus ain't getting up off the throne, coming to the earth and do the work for you. You got to get off your gluteus maximus and do the work yourself and be like Paul said, 'I can do.' You've got to know that when you get a revelation of the work that God called you to do, that you actually can do it. I think Jesus said, 'I can do it.' So I can do this kingdom work. So everything I need, I already had to get the work done. So I already got it and I can do it. How do you do it? You do it through him, through Christ that strengthens you. That's why your relationship gotta stay tight. Y'all see it? The work has to be connected to a walk. Has to be connected to worship, because when you do that, you get strength to do the work. Oh God, I gotta get out of here, man. Maybe this is too much work for y'all. Colossians 3:24, the Bible says, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord— listen to this— as a reward, it is the Lord Christ you are serving. So for your work— see, we've been talking about Aaron, I don't talk on all this stuff, or air Christ and all this stuff. Listen, being— having an inheritance, receiving from the Lord, that's a privilege, that's a benefit of serving him. He said since you know you're gonna get that inheritance, that's your reward for what? The work. Okay, so the only way to forfeit your heritage is you don't work, you don't walk it out in faith. So you gotta walk in faith too. All this teaching I've been doing about faith, y'all gotta walk that stuff out. Listen, I'm telling you, the most important message out of all the messages I taught in faith in this series on Bulldog Faith was the essentials of faith. I gave a whole bunch of scriptures on how to literally put faith into action. You have to work your faith, and the reward is inheritance. You got to walk your faith out, the reward is inheritance. You got to work— do you give your life as a life of worship through faith? And the reward is inheritance. He says, the Lord Christ your servant You're doing this not for man. You're doing this stuff for yourself. You're serving him. The work is in him. I got to go, I gotta go. Proverbs 12:24. Uh-huh, here we go. The Bible says diligent hands will rule. Uh, yeah, diligent hands will have raw dog. That's the Hebrew word there— will have dominion, will have control, will be in authority. Diligent hands will have authority. You can never have dominion, you could never have rada without diligent hands. You got to stay diligent. Let me just break that down. I said I won't start doing this, but diligence, the Hebrew word, actually means to forcefully progress. The reason it means to force the progress, because diligence is a war word when you're being opposed. This word was used many times by leaders in warfare. You're being opposed, you got to diligently go against your opposer. Because the first thing in your mind when you're being opposed, really, if I can get out of this fight, I'm gonna try to find an exit. But God says no. When you're opposed with doubt, with sin, with odds being against you, you got to be diligent and force your way through what's opposing you. Diligent hands will have dominion. It don't just fall out the sky. You have to be diligent. There it is again: work, walk, worship. That's diligence. You got to work the work, walk the walk, and let that work and that walk be worship. Watch this, but laziness ends in forced labor. So what do you mean, Michael? So when you're lazy toward the work of God, you're now forced to labor in a culture, a job, in a situation that wasn't God's will for I didn't write it, it's, it's the Bible. Glory to God. And at the end of the day, that's the truth. Most people are in situations trying to make ends meet, doing things they really don't want to do, in places they really don't want to be in because they need money. You would— I wouldn't— I'm not surprised, but you might be surprised what some people will do just for money. It's a sad thing, man. The reality is forced labor is a result of lack of revelation of the work, lack of revelation of the walk. Watch this, it's, it's a result of laziness, not being diligent. Oh, we, we talking about the power of work. Say that with me. Say, I got the power to work. Say, work is God's will. Say, I love work. I enjoy work in the name of Jesus. Say, my work will bring me dominion. Proverbs 14:23. Watch this. It says all hard work brings a profit. Ask a businessman to define profit. He's going to tell you that that is left over after the expenses of the business have been paid and covered. Those of you watching me online right now, glory to the name of God, you might want to share this with somebody, and you might want to take this in yourself because I want you to understand something. Laziness gets you nowhere. But the Bible, the Bible, the Bible says all hard work brings a profit. Again, a businessman will tell you what's left over after the expenses have been paid and covered, that's your profit. You can't really measure profit when you're laboring because you're exchanging your time for money. Can I let you in on something? Your time is worth way more than what people will pay you. Your time is more valuable than any check a person can write you. I was— I'm gonna give you an example of this. Glory to God. I've been a season ticket holder, I guess, 6 years now. And I was sitting at the game a few years back, and, um, I sit around a lot of different people. And one night, guy who's like a big-time executive for Coca-Cola, um, very— one of the vice presidents, he was having a conversation behind me with this guy, and I was sitting with the person I was sitting with talking to them about business. And at that time, uh, I was heavily doing a lot of stuff with cryptocurrency. So we was talking about that. I was talking about different marketing things, and he was listening to me, apparently. So at the break, he leaned up and said, hey man, my name is such and such. I'm an executive with Coca-Cola. I would love for you to come work for me. I just been sitting here listening to you talk. He said, man, I'mma tell you, we will start you out in the door with a quarter million dollars and a complete executive package. I got a position for you right now. I said, sir, I appreciate your generosity. I said, but you can't afford me. I said, you can't limit me to $200,000. That's why you want to hire me, because you understand my potential to help make your company way more money than they're already making. And at the end of the day, God gave me revelation of the value of my time right there. He said, son, you're worth way more than $250,000 a year. You know that. Glory to God. But I would have been— for if I would have unplugged from God's plan and did that, I'd have been forced into labor, subject to what they wanted me to do every day, and not have the freedom to be building what I'm building now. Okay, maybe it's too much for y'all. Some of y'all would took it, I know. But at the end of the day, you got to know your value. You got to know what you're worth, because all hard work, kingdom work, brings a profit. I never would have made a profit on that $250,000 unless I would have took it and invested it somewhere else. But I would have never made a profit on my time, because my profit for my time was the $250,000. That's all I would have got when quite possibly, glory to the name of God, I would have been robbing myself of multi-millions, getting tied into a culture that wanted me to serve it and not God's plan. Oh Lord, Lord, I love you. Watch this. All hard work brings profit. Proverbs 14:23, but mere talk leads only to poverty. I posted a reel a couple days ago and it said, stop talking and start doing. The reality is, in this society, everybody's got something to say. And quite honestly, in my opinion, most people talk way too much. Most people ain't got nothing to say, and they shouldn't be talking as much as they're talking. Action speaks louder than words every day, but mere talk brings you apart. You got a lot of people talking what they can do, what they gonna do. I said, listen, people talk about what house they gonna buy, what truck they gonna buy, what they gonna do when they get some money. But when I look at they life. All they doing every day is the same thing they've been doing. And guess what? If they're doing the same thing they've been doing, they're gonna keep getting the same results. They ain't gonna get that house nor that car. They're gonna keep yielding the same results because they're doing the exact same thing every day. Because mere talk leads to poverty. And you know, some people talk because they like to hear themselves, and it makes them feel good about themselves if they project to you where they're going. But if you're talking to me, I'm already look past that what you saying and got into your spirit, number one, and see if you got the work ethic to really bring that to pass. And secondly, if you got God in your life to help you do it. Because at the end of the day, some people ain't gonna never be accomplished nothing except God help them. There's some folk out here that, that sell their soul to the devil. They work around God. And they can get it done, but they end up in hell. And that— we don't want that. But there's some people God ain't gonna even let them succeed because he got— the way they gotta go is through him. I can name about 5 people right now, very good people, a lot of dreams. All they talk about is wonderful, amazing things. But if they don't give their life to God for real and tap into the work he has for them, they will will never accomplish it. Sad but true. Genesis 2:3. Let's go, I'm almost through. Genesis 2:3. Then God— somebody said, I thought you was going to read the scripture, you didn't say scriptures. I did say scriptures, y'all just want to listen. I said I'm gonna read the scriptures. Glory to God. Then bless— then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. So watch this. On the seventh day of creation— this is powerful— God, watch this, blessed that day. Said, this day, this thing is complete, everything is done. He had already made man. He blessed man with the same blessing. The Bible said he blessed them, so he blessed the seventh day. He blessed them too. Oh boy. And he rested because he passed on his creatorial power to us. He said, I ain't creating nothing else, but anything else that gets created is going to come from your mouth. I've already finished everything you are, everything you're going to do, but open your mouth in favor, create it and bring it to life. Oh boy. He said, I'm not working no more. The only work left to be done is your work, your walk, your faith, your worship. Glory to God. All right, Luke 1:37. The Bible says, for no word from God will ever fail. So if God gives you a word about work you're to be doing, I need you to understand, no matter what it looks like No matter, glory to the name of God, how hard it gets. When— and there are days, glory to God, it gets hard. And you got to be instant in season and out. You got to keep working it where other folk don't see it. You got to keep working it when it's just you and a few other people. You got to work it like, glory to the name of God, you're already at the end, knowing that no word from God will ever fail. I need you to understand, if God said it, he's gonna do it. If God said it, he's gonna bring it to pass. 1 Timothy 5:8 says this, it says, anyone who does not provide for their family or their relatives, and especially for their own household— watch this— has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. So no matter how saved you are You can be saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, with the baptized in the Holy Ghost, with the mighty burning fire, as they used to say in old church. But the Bible says here, if you don't provide for your family and those in your household, the Bible said you have departed from the faith and denied faith, and you're worse that are unbeliever. And the only way really you could take care of your family in totality— I believe that God is positioning me, glory to God, not to take care of my immediate household, but to pull my whole generation out, to pull my whole family to another place. And that's why I know the trajectory that I'm on is not just about me, it's to pull everything around me to another level. And the Bible says when we don't do this, glory to God, we're worse than an infidel. We have denied faith. Oh God, help us. It's a sorry man that won't take care of his house. Just, oh, sorry joker. He's laying up on a woman's couch all day flipping the remote. Glory to God, it's sorry. Listen, sisters, something wrong with you if you just— you taking care of a man and let him lay up in your house and never do nothing. That's a problem. He's an infidel. He's worse than an unbeliever. Joker sitting up in your house quoting scripture, talking about God, he ain't bringing a dime to the table. Something's wrong with that picture. Say there's power in work. That's what we're talking about, work. Listen, as a woman, let me talk to you for a moment, women. You shouldn't even want a man that has no vision, that has no work from God. A man should be the priest of his house, which means he's the intercessor for the house. He should intercede for his family. That's part of the work as an intercessor. He takes the family before God, and then he comes back to the family and said, God said this. And listen, you shouldn't even be married to a man that can't hear from God. I'm gonna tell you something. You want to know if he's the one? If he can't hear from God, he ain't the one. Uh, glory to God. If you're saved and you know better, you're mature, And you want a dude that has no relationship with God and he can't hear from God, he ain't the one. If he's religious dead, uh, watch this, operating like a ventriloquist, the spirit of ventriloquism. He— and you know what ventriloquism is, I done told y'all. That's a dead dummy sitting on the lap of religion. He's mimicking everything else but really has no voice of God in his ear. He's He's not the one. He should be a priest that can talk to God for the house, then come back as a prophet and say, 'Yea, thus saith the Lord.' And then he's a king that exercises government and decrees. But in addition to all that, he's also a provider. He should be making provision for the house. If it's not, the Bible said he's denied faith. Okay, I mean, scriptures he quote, how much he dancing and shouting, glory to God, he's denied the faith and he's worse than an unbeliever. That's how God looks at it. He can be shouting all over the church, quote scriptures, but if he's not taking care of home— that's right, you need to sit down somewhere and get his life right. Glory to God. Uh, I— okay, I gotta go, I gotta go, I gotta go. Jeremiah 29:11, the Bible said, for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. So God already has it planned for you to move in the work that he's called you to do. The plans are already there. That's why you gotta have a walk, you gotta have tight relationship so you can discover what he's planned. Proverbs 6:10-12, watch this: a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come on you like a thief, and scarcity like an armed man, a troublemaker and a villain who goes about with a corrupt mouth. The Bible says that poverty will come on you quickly and take everything from you when you are lazy, when you just sleep and never work. And I'm not talking about getting in the bed, go to sleep, but there are a lot of people who are sleeping, who are not doing the work of the Lord. They're walking around sleep on a job, laboring, sleep, slumbering, resting on that job, just resting in that workplace, happy. Oh, I got a great job, Jesus. Let me tell you something, man. There's something greater. He says you'll be like a troublemaker and a villain who goes about with a corrupt mouth, just talking all the time and never gaining nothing. A villain and a troublemaker that talks all the time is destined to death. Somebody eventually is going to take them out. Glory to God. Because they're running about too much. What they say, snitches get ditches or stitches. At the end of the day, ditches and stitches, that's what snitches get. The reality is you run your mouth too much, it causes damn when you're talking and not doing, and you're doing something that God didn't call you to do. Let's go. 2 Timothy 2:6: The hard-working farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. So when the harvest come in, the person that's working hard in the kingdom, those are the people that are going to walk in the blessing of the Lord. Genesis 2:15, the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden— watch this— to work it and to take care of it. He didn't put— watch this— before God gave Adam Eve, he gave him a job. He gave him kingdom work. So what single ladies that's watching this, listen, single ladies, glory to the name of God, you need to realize if you meet a man, he needs to have work before you marry him. He needs to be clear about kingdom work, not a job. You need to be clear about kingdom work. What has God created you to do? Wow, man, a whole new spin on that. Uh, Titus 2, verses 7 and 8. In everything, set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching, show integrity, seriousness, and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us. So watch this. He said when we work in the kingdom, we set an example of integrity. It shows the world that we have faith. It shows the world that we trust God's plan. It shows the world that they can offer us nothing. Glory to God. It shows the world that our Daddy is real and that he will take care of us when we do what is good. We're setting an example. Our lifestyle, our walk is a classroom to the world of what God can do when we work for him. That's why Jesus said, go into the vineyard and work. He said, what's right, I'll pay. That's heavy, man. When I first got called to full-time ministry, that's the scripture the Lord gave me. He said, look, don't you worry about how you're going to take care of anything. He said, you go in the vineyard— this is 34 years ago— and if you work for me And at that time, I didn't have nowhere to go preach. I didn't have no churches. I didn't have nothing but a word from the Lord, and the fact that I knew the word of the Lord wouldn't fail me. I went in the video and I started working immediately. I made an office in my living room and I started working. I, I didn't— I worked every day like I was going to a job with nowhere to go. But when I tell you God took care of me, he took care of me. Because that's how he does. Proverbs 16:3. I gotta go, I'm almost done for real. He says, commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. You can't commit something to God that's not his. You can't commit something to God that's not his will. He said, whatever you're doing, you need to be able to legally present it to God. It needs to be acceptable to him. So if you're doing work that he didn't ordain, it's kind of hard to commit that to God because he's going to keep bothering you until you do what you're supposed to do. Yeah, he said if you do that though, if you do what he says, committed to him and work through him— again, as they were established— again, he'll prosper your plans. He'll give you overflow of finance. Last scripture. John 9:4, he says, I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day. The night cometh when no man can work. Here's a good example to follow in the walk. Jesus is in the earth. Jesus came to show us an example what all this stuff looks like. He was there to do the work of the Lord. That's why he came. He said, I got to do this work of him that sent me. Notice the verbage. I'm not doing what I want to do. They were introducing Jesus to being a carpenter, trying to get him to do all kind of labor. He said, I gotta work the works of the one that sent me. Y'all go do all that sawing and stuff. I, I gotta cast out some devils. I gotta walk on water. Glory to God. I got to lay hands on the sick and they recover. I got to call 12 disciples. I gotta die on the cross. I gotta work the works of him that said— I ain't got time to be sawing this wood and nailing and building no houses. She said, I gotta work the works of him that sent me. Watch this. Why was that? Because revelation will not always strive with us. While we got clarity on how to do it, while we got time, while our eyes are bright and while we're youthful, while we got strength, we need to be working the work of the Lord. God don't need us dragging to him when we all beat up and broke down and we done gave our whole body and life to the world. Now we come dragging to him, talk about we're gonna work for him now. I said no, I want to— I want you— I wanted you to work while it's light, while it's day, because the night's coming. It's gonna come a day where this whole thing gonna shut down. and nobody will be able to work there. And the question becomes, when it shuts down and you stand before God— I know people don't preach about hell no more, but I want to tell you, hell is real. And hell is no place to get right. Hell is no place to figure out if you did the right thing or not, because when you get to hell it's too late. Hell is a place beneath the love of God. As much as God loves us, he prepared a place for prepared people. And for those of us who just blatantly rebel and disobey the ways of God, hell, it's gonna be important. I know there are preachers now saying only hell you're gonna ever have is in your mind. Okay, you keep on believing that hell is real. Before this year's out, I'm gonna teach a whole month on hell because we got so much ignorance concerning it. It's a real place. And if you just rebel against this work, you may never commit adultery, you may never fornicate and lie, But if you blatantly don't get diligent and find the work, the night is coming. And when you stand before God, I wonder what he'll say if he presents the work to you. You never move in faith to get the work done. Of course, you can't be held responsible for what you don't know, but if you get— if it gets revealed to you and you don't do it, because it's going to take faith, it's going to take sacrifice, eyes. Glory to God. I love you, Jesus. Y'all stand up there. The night's coming when no man can work. Glory to Jesus. I pray some of you are still online watching us. If you are, We give you praise, God. We give you glory. We honor your name. We bless you, God. Beside you there is no other. There is no other. There is no other. Kuranda basata mande. It's in you we live, it's in you we move, it's in you we have our being, God. Come on, just worship him a few moments. We're going to pray. Those of you watching us live, keep praying. Glory to God. I must work the works of him that sent me while it's day. For the night cometh when no man can work. Say this with me. Say, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus— those of you watching live, repeat after me. Say it. Say, I thank you for the word. I receive the word, and I decree and declare I have the power to work. Say, I will work, the works of God in my lifetime. Say, in the name of Jesus, the work of heaven, my kingdom assignment is being revealed to me even now. Say, in the name of Jesus. Say it. Say, in the name of Jesus, my assignment is real. My assignment is heavenly. Say, Father, I'll work what you called me to work. I'll walk how you called me to walk, and my life will become worship. And when I do this, I will experience the wealthy place. Overflow of resources, overflow of finances. In the mighty name of Jesus. I decree and declare it now in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks God. Come on, give God praise. Come on, come on, those of you live, give God glory, give God glory. Oh Jesus, come on. Bless you. We give you praise, God. And once you discover it, we're here to help you develop that self-same purpose. And the reality is, it's no good if that purpose is not deployed.
