The Spirit of Government | Dr. Mike Woods, Sr. | 29 June 2023

In this opening sermon for the month‑long "Citizenship" series, Dr. Mike Woods Sr. explains what it means to be an "A‑level" citizen of the Kingdom of God. He argues that dominion over the earth is God’s original Plan A, not a secondary goal, and that true kingdom citizenship requires being chosen by the King, not merely joining a church. Woods defines citizenship as a legal‑right coupled with duty and character, then contrasts natural citizenship with theocratic, apostolic citizenship. He outlines the purpose of spiritual government: to establish systems, ensure their continuity, and preserve them, with the apostolic heart serving as the engine of that government. The Holy Spirit is presented as the Governor who convicts, guides, and enforces order. Woods calls believers to manifest kingdom principles in every sphere—business, media, education, politics—by adopting an apostolic attitude (order, excellence) and taking apostolic action (implementing vision, enforcing law). He shares personal testimony of establishing systems in business and delivering prophetic‑apostolic breakthroughs, stresses the need for endurance, and envisions a multi‑trillion‑dollar kingdom economy that can even aid world governments. The sermon concludes with a prayer for listeners to receive the spirit of government and to walk in their appointed authority.

I want to get right into this, man. I'm excited about teaching this tonight, um, and then I'm going to pray at the end, uh, for a few of you. And, um, I, I trust— again, I want you to get out your pen and paper and take some good notes tonight because I promise you, um, this is going to bless you. Again, whether you're live or by replay, um, because we're going to make sure this gets streamed on tomorrow so people can catch the replay of this, because again, this is the backdrop of this series. I gotta teach this backdrop because nothing I teach in this coming month is going to make sense if we don't understand this substratum of how, uh, this thing is administered from heaven to earth. So what God gave me, he said, son, I want you to talk to the people about what it means to be an A-level, A-level, A-level kingdom citizen. And we're just going to simply call this series Citizenship. You know, I've been talking to y'all a lot about, you know, my concern about how we as believers not just show up at church, but how we actually show up in the world. And the impact that we actually make in the world and those who are connected to our fear of influence. You know, this whole thing— watch this— started with a mandate, a command that God hasn't changed his mind about yet, right? Dominion is not Plan B. Listen to me. Dominion is Plan A. Without taking your proper place as a kingdom citizen— hear me, guys— you will never, and I mean absolutely never, experience dominion. And dominion was about having dominion in the earth, in the world. That wasn't a charge to unbelievers. It was a charge to those that would be in covenant and in connection with Abba, with the Father, you know. And I think a lot of times what we do is we, we become very good at church, at worship, at praise, at preaching, at teaching, at gifts. And again, I'm going to keep saying it until we get it. And we're extremely poverty-stricken when it comes to— yeah, that's a good word for Holy Spirit— that when we— when it comes to how we show up in the world. We're too busy coveting church stuff that we can use to work on other church folk. And listen, we're losing the battle. Ultimately, we'll win the war, but we're losing the battle because of our preoccupation with church fluff, church pageantry. Oh my God, even the most spiritual ones So preoccupied with being so wonderful and deep and floating that we cannot have an impact in our everyday lives. And that, my friends, family, listen, live or by replay, that is not a good look for us. There is more and we must be doing more. Okay, so Let's start here, and then I'm gonna get into what I'm gonna talk about tonight is the backdrop. Because again, I— since I said something about citizenship, let me just drop this really quick on what citizenship is. All right, so when you think about citizenship, and we, we all learn citizenship in elementary school. Matter of fact, I believe there's some people that's on this live tonight and probably watching this replay that got citizenship awards in school. And, uh, when I was in elementary school, I was one of those guys that got citizenship awards. So because I displayed a code of conduct that the school desired to see, right? So citizenship basically by definition is a— is really the idea or the state of being vested with the rights, the privileges, and the duties of a person who lives in a region, a topography, a country, a state, a nation. You have the rights to dwell there freely. Um, A citizen is not just a namesake, but it deals with character. All right. You could be born in America and you could have citizenship rights because you were born here. But if you start to break the law, there are institutions for you that have been set up like penitentiaries and jails. and not that I agree with that system, but they are set up to remove you from society and watch this, strip you of your rights as a citizen to live freely. So character is an important part to citizenship. Somebody already see where I'm going with this, right? Okay. So you have to behave in alignment with your duties, your obligations, and the functions required of you by law as a citizen in the natural. So basically, bottom line, citizenship is a legal right to have existence in a place. It's based in duty and character. So can I submit to you that as citizens of the kingdom of God, we are called— hear me— to be A-level citizens. Because if you look at natural citizenship, there are citizens who are not A-level citizens. There are citizens who don't have the character to represent the state, the county, the city, or even the neighborhood. They're not A-level. And God, can I tell you tonight, is looking for— hear me— some A-level citizens to represent him in the kingdom of man, in the kingdom of darkness, in the kingdom of the world, so that he can rule the seen world. Hear me. Through the unseen world. And he wants A-level citizens that he can use to do that, not people who are just good at church. So how does one obtain citizenship? Well, unlike— watch this, hear me, guys— unlike a democracy where you, once you're born in a nation, you automatically a citizen. Well, it doesn't work that way in the kingdom. In the kingdom, you have to be chosen to be a citizen. Ah, you might wanna write that down just in case you forget. 'Cause watch this, you can't join a church and become a citizen. You can't take the right hand of fellowship and become a citizen. You have to be chosen. This is a theocracy. It is a God-ruled theocracy where it's ruled by a king that happens to be God. And the Bible says in John 15:16, it says, you have not chosen me. Here we go. But I have chosen you. Hear me, guys, listen. So I know we thought we found God. You didn't find him. He never was lost. He always knew. If you're serving God right now, he always knew he would choose you, and he always knew— glory to the name of God— that he would need you to be a citizen. Think about this. If you visit a country that's ruled by a king, the king actually in that country chooses the citizens. I know this for a fact, not only by study but by personal relationship. I have friends who were born in the Bahamas who, when they were born, because In the Bahamas, it was the Commonwealth of England. They were not chosen for citizenship until they got in their 20s and their 30s because the king wanted to make sure they would be viable— hear me— members of society. Oh my God, did they— that they— because guess what? Once the king chooses you He has to take care of you. Yeah, because he takes care of his citizens. Oh boy. So I don't care what you're going through right now, the King has your best interest at heart. He says, you have not chosen me, I have chosen you and ordained you— listen— that you should go and bring forth fruit, that your fruit should remain. Watch this, that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, oh boy, he may give it to you. This is Bible, y'all. So he says, you ain't choose me, I chose you. Listen, and I chose you so you could go forth and be a good citizen. Bring forth fruit. Oh God, here's what I think happens a lot of times, guys. We enjoy the fruits of righteousness, the fruits of salvation. We enjoy the fruit and we kill the future. Yeah, Holy, Holy Spirit, I see that. We enjoy the fruit, just like taking an apple, eating the fruit and then we throw the core in the trash. So that's what we do, right? But do you realize that there's still life in the core? Ah, because in the core is a seed. Oh my God, in the core is a seed. What made the very apple we just enjoyed was a seed that if that seed is planted again in ground, it'll grow more apples. Here's what happens a lot of times. We give birth to things in the spirit. We give birth— glory to the name of God— to things that bring fruit forth in our life of souls, of people, of finances, of resources, of stability. And then guess what we do? We enjoy the fruit and forget to redistribute the seed and build continuity so that the fruit remains. We're going to talk about how to do that because that's citizenship. That's part of your duty, is to be fruitful. Let's go back to Genesis 1:28. Be fruitful. Be fruitful. Not Be fruitful. Now go get some fruit. Be fruitful. So God gave Adam seed. He didn't give him apples. He didn't give him oranges. He gave him seed and said, go plant this and be fruitful, because that's the first step in having Rada, in having dominion, in having authority, in having full control. Oh, it's not Plan B. He wants fruit to remain, and this fruit is going to remain through citizenship. Oh my God. He says, watch this, when the fruit comes forth and you become a redistributor of fruit, and you're not just enjoying the fruit and killing the future The Bible says here that whatever you ask of the Father in Jesus's name, he will give it to you. Wait a minute, wait, wait a minute. Did I read that right? I'm not dyslexic. He said whatever you ask, because you ask is a ishio in Greek, which means to come to a superior as an inferior. So you come to him like he's in control He's the king. He's in charge. Bearing fruit as a good citizen. Oh boy. He said, whatever you ask, it'll be given. That's what we want in our life, good people. That's what we want. I'm telling you, that's what we want. Lord have mercy. Oh my God, y'all here? Glory to God. So I want to talk tonight. Listen, stay with me please. If you're watching this replay, do not scroll, stay with me. And those of you that are here live, lock in. It's the reason why you're here, because this is going to be good for you. Lock in and get this tonight. Eat this whole meal tonight. So when we start talking about kingdom citizenship, we're talking about our rights to— watch this— what the king owns. It's our rights to the king's territory. It's our right— rights to carry out his will, his purpose, his intent in the culture we live. It's our right as citizens. So the kingdom has no voting body. Nobody's voting anyone in, okay? The kingdom of God is ruled by God, and he rules through— I want to just say this again for context, context— he rules the seen world from the unseen world through his citizens. Well, he can't do that without— watch this— the spirit of government. If you're taking notes, write that on the top of your paper. This is the introductory message to this series on citizenship. I'm gonna give it to you just like the Holy Spirit gave it to me. There has to be— you cannot have citizenship without government. In America, we have a governing body that makes laws, amends laws, which creates the culture for citizens in this nation. Well, God's government— glory to God— has already been established, number one, in his word. And then number 3— number 2, through his consistent ministry to us from the Holy Spirit. Oh my God. So I want you to remember this principle about governments. Governments are activated to establish a system, so to put a system in place of dwelling and abiding. And then governments are there to ensure— watch this— the continuity and preservation of that system. I'm gonna say that again. You might want to write it down. Governments are activated to establish a system, and then they are there to ensure— watch me— that the continuity and the preservation of that system remains intact. In other words, God brings citizens forth to carry out government. He brings— watch this— governmental authority and leadership forth. Oh my God, to make sure— oh my God. Oh my God, to make sure that we are functioning— watch this— as an extension of heaven and presenting heaven's system of rule in the realm of the earth. Now I'm about to say something, I'm gonna lose a few of y'all, okay? I'm probably gonna lose a few of y'all. However, I want you to get this. When I say we are here to present heaven on earth and to create epi-ronious or heavenly places in our culture, I'm not just talking about having heaven on earth in church. My God, you should have heaven on earth when you go to the grocery store. You should have heaven on earth when you go to pay your bills. You should have heaven on earth in every aspect of your life. You should have heaven on earth in your job, in your classroom, whatever it is you do. Heaven should be— oh my God— a part of it. And the systems of heaven should be a part of it. So the heart of spiritual government— listen to me, guys, I want you to get this, because again, I'm, I'm, when I start teaching this thing on becoming an A-level citizen, this foundation is going to be important. The heart of spiritual government is this: it is the apostolic heart. When you talk about being apostolic, you're talking about that that pertains to apostles and the people connected to apostles. That's why the Bible said God gave some apostles, which meant everyone won't be pastored by an apostle. Everybody, um, it's not selected or chosen because they don't have the heart. They just need shepherds, pastors to shepherd them. And that's cool. It doesn't make them bad. It just means that those that are going to be deployed into special assignments and special work have to have connectivity to apostles. So you are— thank God for apostles that are in your life. Because the heart of spiritual government, no matter what you do, even if you're not an apostle, you're apostolic if you're connected to the work of an apostle. Yeah, that's why he gave some apostles, and it means there's something huge in you that the apostolic heart and the governmental authority of the apostle has to stir and bring forth in you. Shemanda kosi. Yes, God. There's something you gotta do in the earth that requires the apostle's authority to release, to pull forth. Oh, so the heart of the apostle is the heart of spiritual government in the earth. So this means, watch this, Spiritual government and the apostle's heart contains this. Write this down. Number 1, it obtains establishment. Establishment. Remember we said governments are activated to establish. So apostles and the apostolic people connected to apostles and apostolic work They are in the earth for the purpose of establishment. Oh, so what is an establishment? What does that mean? What is a— I'm looking for the word— establishmentarian. That's, that's really what apostles are. They're establishmentarians. So apostles have the ability to define— listen, implement vision, implement mission, implement purpose, implement order, implement function, implement systems, implement processes that are going to— watch this— affect the proper conduct and outcome. Oh boy. Oh God. Okay. Okay. Oh, okay. So Governments are activated by God and in the natural to establish. So, oh boy. So apostolic people again should be defining and implementing vision, should be defining and implementing mission, should be defining it. That's why, you know, when I, I've— listen, I've been doing a lot of reflecting coming up on my birthday. 34 years of full-time ministry doing this, um, as an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher, entrepreneur. I, I was on a business meeting today. You know, I was being with this person that I'm in business with to get this thing done for them. I was being an establishmentarian. I was setting up a system to make sure the project we're working on has the correct outcome. I presented the proper conduct that was necessary to ensure that the project has good success. Oh, oh boy, oh boy, I'm about to fall out this chair. Lord have mercy, Jesus. As citizens of the kingdom, Jesus, who— we should be implementing systems that the world wants to duplicate. Why is it that when you look at the church, the church in many ways looks, acts, thinks more like the systems of the world than the systems of the kingdom of God. I'm gonna tell you why. It's because the true apostles need to step up in their role as establishmentarians to establish people around them instead of trying to get people to just stay committed to them. Our whole goal is to help you discover what's in you, develop what's in you, and deploy you to do what's in you as a citizen. That's what apostolic works do. Let's keep moving. So remember the definition: governments are activated to establish a system and then ensure the continuity. So we gotta make sure that this thing continues to progress. So as apostolic people, we don't start and stop. That's why no matter what the enemy ever thought in my life I've never quit. I've never stopped. I've never given in. I've never given up. Glory to God. Because guess what? Oh my God, my time is gonna run out. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Because I know that there's one— there are too many others that depend on me to be who I am. And then two, I understand that no matter what it looks like, God is with me, and he's always proven Even at my lowest— listen, I done been at the lowest. I done lost everything, and God has been faithful enough to give it all back to me a thousand times more. I've lost cars, I've lost houses, I've lost property, I've lost church buildings. Oh boy. But God was teaching me how to be A person of continuity, that no matter what life or the devil threw at me, oh shaw, riba and soreki skataia, I kept going. I kept it moving. I kept giving glory to God. Are y'all here? Whoo! Boy, could God Almighty Good God Almighty. Listen, can I tell you something? Can I tell you something? Hear me good, hear me good. God, whew, he loves those that keep it moving in spite of. He love everybody, but there's a level of favor on those that endure. Watch this, the race is not given to the swift nor to the strong, but to the one that endures, the one that finishes. Listen, can I tell you something right here? Side note, the only way you gonna lose is if you quit. So I'm telling you right now, you can't quit. You can't stop. You can't give up. You gotta put your hand to the plow and keep it moving. 'Cause watch this, God is trying to develop. He's trying to develop, hear me, the continuity in you. Rub your belly and say, I'm called to continue to progress. So continuity is this: it means to teach, to demonstrate— listen— encourage and reward— watch this— proper conduct and outcomes. So apostles should be teaching what it means to continue. They should be demonstrating progression and continuity. Watch this, not just what we as apostles do in the church. I— listen, I love watching God work. And listen, I— there's probably not one miracle I haven't seen in my ministry. I've seen miracles upon miracles, even those that can't be denied. I'm talking about born blind and see, okay? Born deaf and hearing. I've seen, I've seen it. But it doesn't stop there. We have to demonstrate the kingdom and the systems outside. Some of you listening to me tonight, live and by replay, you, my friend, have entrepreneurship in you. The reason you keep having challenges with employers and employment is because you should be in business. And the moment you tap the creativity in you— hear me— oh my God, God's going to do something fresh, man. And, and moment you step out in faith and plant that business and use your hands to build what he's called you to build, you're going to start seeing prosperity on the left and on the right. I'm a witness. He'll do it for you. Glory to God. Hallelujah. So watch this. So governments are activated to establish a system, ensure continuity— watch this— and the preservation Oh boy, of the system. So once we start implementing kingdom ways of operating in the earth— listen, I believe there's so much wealth in the kingdom inside of people that we should have a multi-trillion dollar economy in the kingdom. Here's the problem: you got too many people building kingdoms to themselves. So because people build kingdoms to themselves, they don't understand how to create a kingdom economic system hear me, ladies and gentlemen, whereby the kingdom at large benefits from it. We should have such a great pool of resources that the government of the world could come to us and say, hey, we're $6 trillion in debt, can you help us out? And because our economy is so huge, we should be able to reach in and bail them out to the glory of God. Oh my God, man. See, I know y'all— listen, I probably speak in tongues more than anybody, but that's what— that's what y'all want to do, right? Yeah, yeah, I get it. Let's do that, let's do that. But let's do this too. Let's build this in a way that the world needs us. We should have a banking system that no one in the kingdom should suffer from getting a mortgage, getting a car financed. Come on, man, this is preservation. This is outcomes. We got to put these systems in place and preserve them. So what is preservation, Michael Woods? I'm glad you asked. It's to assure encourage, defend, protect, enforce— watch this— and discipline the participants, citizens, members, employees, or subjects in proper conduct and outcome. Again, that's why they have law enforcement. Apostles— oh my God— are kingdom covenant enforcement agents. We are used to make sure that the systems are preserved. And when we see people missing it to the left and to the right, what we do is— listen— we snatch your chain and get you back in order. But here's what— here's the problem. This generation knows everything. Everybody thinks they got a monopoly on God's voice. And I want— let me introduce you to something really quick here. God is not speaking as much as some of these people say he is. I mean, you can look at the nature of God in the New Testament— I mean, the Old Testament— and see how few and far between he talked and who he chose to talk to. He didn't talk to everybody. So that's the first piece. Second piece, the Holy Spirit is the governor of the kingdom. His position in your life is to position you to be a good citizen. Watch this. And to convict you when you're out of order. And watch this. Many times when the Holy Spirit convicts us, even in our deceit and our belief that we're doing something that we're supposed to be doing. And then God will send an apostle or apostolic people to say, okay, and we're going to push against this structure. We're going to push against this religious system, this financial system. We're going to push against this media system. We're going to push against this political system and show you God's way of getting this done. Yeah, yeah. And this, this for grown folk, man. This, you know, this, this, this ain't for a religious mindset on both sides of the coin. I want you to know there's a whole lot of people that speak in tongues, lay hands, lay on the floor, do all that stuff. They super religious. Okay, look at my face. Yeah, super religious. They do all that and call people in denominational churches religious. And some of them, because religious rail means to look, to seek, they still looking for God. They doing things the same way all the time and they get the same results because that's all they do. You take some of these people out of a church building, they're like a fish out of water. And that's a problem because we can't have dominion in a world we don't understand. The Bible says we got to be like the sons of Issachar, understand the times so we'll know what we ought to do. You ain't gonna understand the times and know what you got to do if— come on, man— if you're too deep to connect with people, if you're too deep to show up in the world and be a light in darkness. Yeah, do you realize the Bible said Jesus was a friend of sinners? He wasn't friend of church folk. The church folk were religious, didn't like him. He was a friend of sinners, and sinners were converted by his presence. What's wrong with this church today? Come on, man. Okay. Ah, so in a nutshell, Government is authoritative rule, control, or direction. We follow the authority and control of the Holy Spirit, and we listen to his vessels, his leaders, and his citizens when they show up in a system. See, some of you are assigned to systems that you got to show up in and push against and let people know that God is real, that God is really alive through your testimony, through what he's doing in you. They won't know that if you don't show up. Government also is an agency through which the kingdom exercises authority. So in this instance with us, government is the church. Again, it's not just a place where we jump, shout, spit, blow bubbles, speak in tongues, prophesy, eat soup, go to restaurant after church. No, that's— no, the church is an authoritative unit that exercises authority against systems. That means We can't be the brokest people on earth. I'm gonna keep pushing y'all because I believe right here under my voice tonight live is, is multimillionaires under my voice right now, right now. And it ain't even that many of us on the Zoom. The, the— not right. I'm looking at it right now. There's not that many of us on here. I need to understand God doesn't want us stuck. He wants us to be a unit, though, that exercises authority and take our place of dominion by being fruitful. Let's go to Isaiah 9:6. Let me put some scripture on this, man. Who? And I'm a close. I'm a— I'm a go. I'm a leave y'all alone, man. Isaiah 9:6. I love y'all, though. I'm telling you, I love y'all so much. I'm telling you, as a unit of apostolic people, hear me. Hear me, we're to be governmental agents in the earth that bring transformation and change. Watch this, in every area we are assigned to influence, we gotta show up in the world, not just at church. God. Okay, here's a foundation example of spiritual government. Isaiah 9:6 and 7. Y'all ready? I'm gonna get out the scripture so we can go. I love y'all so much. Y'all such great people. Listen, the Bible says, for unto us a child is born, a son is given. Okay, here we go. And the government shall be upon his shoulder. So when Jesus was born, first of all, a child is born. Watch this, but a son is given. Make no, make, make no mistake about it. If God gives you a son, that means there's something on purpose about your life and your assignment. Watch this, that he wants to preserve, because the son preserved. All children are inheritance to the Lord. But sons are given specifically because God uses that male seed to preserve legacy. Oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord. Okay, so watch this. But the Bible says here, that's why he gave Jesus a son. He wasn't Mother God, he was a son. He was the sperma that would duplicate many other sons. He says the government, the kingdom government, is on his shoulder. And his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Watch this. And of the increase of his government— hear this— and his peace, there shall be no end. Are y'all hearing that? So through you and I, the spirit of government is on us to continue to exercise the governmental right and authority of God in the earth. Lord, help us, help us, please. Jesus, help us. Which again, you got to show up in the world, you got to show up on your mountain. We can't rule the kingdoms of the world and fulfill prophecy in Revelation that says the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and Christ if we don't take over those kingdoms now. Jesus is not returning to this earth to set up a kingdom. He's coming to sit on the throne of a kingdom we've already taken authority in. But if we so busy just jumping, shouting, speaking in tongues, going through the motions, making noise but we're not— oh boy— impacting the world and showing up in the earth, our generation will die and he will raise up another generation because this has to occur. There will be a people that will operate at a high level of citizenship and conduct themselves in behavior as kingdom citizens. Holy Spirit behavior is not just right living, okay? You don't fornicate, you don't lie, you don't steal. Great, those things are given you. Hey, great. Moral conduct. Let me let you know a secret. It's people who don't have the Holy Spirit who don't commit adultery, who don't lie, who don't steal. They're just morally good people. It's not enough. There's more to this. You have to, oh, allow the Holy Spirit again to be in control and you obey his control in everything and show up on your mountain, show up and show up in your business and take over that space. Oh, shy man, show up in your ministry and take full authority. Show up in the media kingdom if that's where you belong. Show up in politics if that's where you belong. Show up in education if that's where you belong and rise to the top. Hallelujah. I gotta go, y'all. I got 7 minutes. So what he said, so peace will have no end, government has no— it's going to increase and have no end. The existence of peace, watch this, in any society is strongly predicated on Here we go. Strong government. The existence of peace is predicated on strong government. We don't see the kind of stuff that's happening over there in the Ukraine in the United States. You know why? These other countries know what kind of firepower we working with, know how strong our government is. They're not going to fool with us. When the police police correctly, neighborhoods are at peace. Let me tell you something, because the government is working properly. In the kingdom of God, watch this, peace— here we go— it's not the absence of confusion. Shalom in Hebrew means the presence of assistance. It's the presence of assistance. God says, I'm here, my government is here to back you up. Do your thing, advance the kingdom, show up in the world as an A-level citizen. God's government is to be established. Hear me. Increased and continue forever. So let me show you what this looks like. I told you the apostolic heart— we're back to that, right? Because we apostolic people, correct? So the apostolic people has within it two governmental natures. I'm gonna give you this and I'm out, right? I'm gonna be out. I got 5 minutes. Here's, here's the first one. It's an apostolic attitude. So that's the mental, emotional, and spiritual understanding— watch this— for the need for order. I'll say that again. An apostolic attitude is the mental emotional and spiritual attitude for the need for order. Rub your belly and say, we need order. Come on, we need order. And so if you're truly apostolic at heart and connected properly to apostolic ministry, you don't like disorder, you don't like confusion, you don't like drama. I'm— listen, that's why I'm a loner, man. I don't run with people, you know. I have my golf friends I play golf with, you know. I, I use golf for networking a lot, but for the most part, I'm by myself because I can't do a whole lot of drama, you know. Because at the end of the day, that apostolic aggression in me is gonna check disorder every time. Because that's my attitude. I'm telling you, that's the attitude you got to get. You got to stop accepting mediocrity from people, from your children, from your siblings. Stop accepting that. Stop accepting— oh my God— the opinions that others cast on you, from friends, so-called friends, from colleagues. Don't accept people half doing stuff. We got to get a spirit of excellence, you know. In our local church, I mean, as small as our ministry is, you know, I spare no expense to make sure I pay one of the best— and I say this very emphatically because he is, and I know this for a fact One of the best musicians in this city plays for our church. Before him, we had the best one in the city playing for our church. He was playing for another church, making huge money on Sunday morning, and coming to play for us when at our service time. Listen, can I tell you something, man? We have to do things in order and in excellence. We got to have a mental attitude, an apostolic attitude. Emotionally, we got to make emotional sacrifices. Stop letting ride you that don't want what you want. Get them out of your life. Get them off of your back. You got to dismiss them. You keep opening the door and they keep taking you down emotionally. You got to make some emotional sacrifice. I'm talking to some people live and by replay right now. You're emotionally attached to some people, to some things, and that's hindering your progress. And you'll never be progressive, you'll never establish anything, you'll never have continuity. We talked about it earlier. As long as you are being dragged emotionally. And then take care of yourself mentally, man. You know, a lot of people just— a lot of talk about mental health right now. And, you know, I'm a champion for being healed wherever you need to be healed, right? Especially in your mind. But the reality is, if you saved, you got an opportunity to speak to God about your issue. And we just read it. If you come with the right fruit, no matter what you ask him, he gonna do it. If you come with the right faith, right fruits of faith, he gonna hear you, he gonna answer you. Take care of yourself, man. Don't let stuff drive you crazy. Don't let people drag you out of your psychological, uh, health. So many people are psychologically debilitated by demons that need to be cast out. Rebuked, renounced, canceled. We need order, people, not just in church. We need order in the world. How do we bring that as a system of kingdom citizens? We start pushing against these systems. They don't need us complaining about homosexuals getting married, lesbians getting married. We ain't gonna push against the system. And then complain about all these pharmaceutical companies that's creating drugs that's not really helping people, that's creating all these side effects, making them sicker. We gotta, we gotta get people in those systems that's gonna push against it, that has an anointing to push against those systems. Oh my God, today, ah God, I listen I'm, I'm out of time. I'm out of time. Here's the second thing the apostolic heart carries, and I'm gonna close. I'll finish this Sunday, y'all. Listen, Apostolic Heart has apostolic attitude, but it also has apostolic action. Apostolic action is the natural— here it is— or physical method of effecting, exercising, and enforcing order. So apostolic people— I always say, God showed me something years ago— in a prophetic apostolic collaborative, prophets prophesy and apostles have the authority and government to bring it to pass. Let me take you deeper in that. One, a lot of prophecy has not materialized and come to pass in— oh, shandidi, the lives of a lot of people, because you got a lot of apostolic laziness and apathy versus apostolic action. Apostles have a government to take a prophecy, show you the plan on how to bring that to pass. Let me give you an example. I prophesied to a lady one time that she was going to be debt-free, and she was in a lot of debt after I Got to talk to her, had counseling session with her, and God began to give me an apostolic plan to supernaturally eliminate her debt. It involved supernatural things. It involved things she had to do with her faith. It involved instructions that were coming straight from God. And when I gave her the blueprint, within 18 months she was debt-free. Over $240,000 worth of debt. The prophecy came, and then the activation of that word, the action— faith without works is dead— the action that had to be implemented. So we can speak prophetically things concerning the society, but then apostolic people have to show up, take action, push against the system. So that the system will shift and the system will change. I gotta quit, y'all. I love y'all so much. My time gone. I gotta quit. I love y'all so much. Listen, because I don't want to keep you here longer than I, I should, um, and I want you to get back to your whatever you got to do, your families. I know, um, it's a sacrifice for you to jump on this. I appreciate all of you that take the time out and jump on in here. So let's pray real quick. Glory to God. I love y'all, man. I'm telling you, I love y'all a lot. Glory to Jesus. And I pray that really you've gotten some out of this tonight. I pray that you've learned something and that, you know, God will cause revelation to be implemented through wisdom. Hallelujah. We're praying. Glory to God. I'll finish this Sunday. I— again, this fresh off the press, man. We're gonna be in citizenship all month, but I want to pray tonight that you will discover your place in the government of God, number one. And then number two, you will receive the spirit of government that the Holy Spirit carries. See, Holy Spirit, he came into this earth to be a governor for the kingdom. A governor goes on behalf of the king to ensure that the embodying— oh my God— country is operating just like the kingdom, or carrying out the king's decrees. So the Holy Spirit is here to make sure we're doing what the king said. I want to pray you receive him when he starts governing your life, when he starts telling you to cut people off, to let things go, to change topographies, to change regions, to do things you need to do so you can carry out the work of God. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, yes Lord, I thank you for this, your people. And I pray, God, that they will discover the spirit of government in their life. I decree and declare, God, that they will understand that the Holy Spirit, that you have showed up in their life as an Apo Parakletos, another Comforter, another Governor, to lead us, to guide us, to control our conduct, that we can push against systems not just to keep us convicted because of sin, but that we can push against systems of the world and bring about real change. And secondly, God, I pray that this people, live or by replay, will receive the spirit of government in the mighty name of Jesus. And God, that you will do a new thing in the lives of your people. I pray— ask the Levites— by your anointing tonight, remove burdens and destroy yokes. I release doors of opportunity in the name of Jesus, and I command this people to walk through through them, and to receive the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow. In Jesus' name, amen, and thanks be to God. Hallelujah! I love you guys. Y'all are so wonderful.
