The Spirit of Jealousy | 21 Days of Action: "Fasting for Fire" Day 2 | Dr. Mike Woods

In this live teaching, Dr. Mike Woods opens Day 2 of the 21‑day “Fasting for Fire” challenge, urging viewers to engage, comment, and share the session. After a brief prayer, he shifts from yesterday’s focus on greed to today’s theme: the spirit of jealousy and how spiritual “spirits” (jealousy, envy, greed, strife) can be transferred between people and environments. He explains that believers act as both thermometers (measuring spiritual temperature) and thermostats (changing it), emphasizing the need to guard one’s surroundings, choose companions who sharpen rather than poison, and avoid “angry,” “drunk,” or “fervent” influences. Biblical illustrations include the Elisha‑Elijah transference (2 Kings 2:1‑13), the New Testament call to know one another after the Spirit (2 Cor 5:16‑17), and Proverbs warnings against angry or wine‑bibbing companions (Prov 22‑23). He declares prayers to cast out the spirit of the scorner, racism, and prejudice, and urges listeners to apply the teaching through prayer, fasting guidelines (no meat, fruit/veg after 3 pm), and practical steps like planting a seed and giving offerings. The session ends with a heartfelt invitation to join the fast, receive salvation, and engage in daily prayers and teachings.
Chapters
Well, praise God, everybody. Good afternoon. This is the day, glory to God, that the Lord has made, and we rejoice. And we are glad in it. Welcome guys to day number 2 of our fast, and I'm super excited about this journey. Uh, 2 down, 19 to go. Uh, we're super excited about where this is taking us. I'm telling you, we're going to be better because of this fast. Listen, if you're joining us live or by replay, uh, I need you to do me a kind favor to do 2 things. I mean, very 2 simple things. Number 1, I need you to make comments in the below chat box and say hello. And also share this, tag your friends in the comments, uh, let them know that, hey, there's a word from the Lord that's streaming right now that we know will be a blessing to you. So go ahead, guys, uh, do that. Say hello and share. That's what we need you to do. Say hello and share. It's just nice, hallelujah, to be nice. So please, uh, share this encounter. Glory to God, uh, it is godly. The Bible declares that we are blessed to be a blessing. So guys, I want you to be a blessing. Share this, you know. Um, I said this the other day, and, uh, when I was listening to the replay, I said, really? Uh, I said that, but it really is true. There are people that actually follow not just me, but they follow you incognito, and they won't share the content. They, they'll enjoy what you're saying and they'll never share what you say with others. But that's not right. That's not biblical. If it's blessing you, uh, bless someone else with it. Amen. And so I'm asking you kindly, from the bottom of my heart, guys, uh, please indeed share this. Uh, welcome everybody. Hey, Kiara, God bless you, daughter. Welcome. Uh, hey Bruce, God bless you, sir. Happy New Year, man. Uh, hey, wife, God bless you. Welcome everybody. Hey, Dr. Tam, God bless you. Glory to God. Hey, Minister Tanya, God bless you. Hi, Shannon, God bless you, woman of God. Uh, God bless you, Minister Mia. Welcome to everybody that's here with us. Uh, you guys again that are on, do me the great favor and share. Amen. So we're gonna pray and we're gonna get started because Yesterday I ended up teaching about an hour and 30 minutes, but that thing was so good to me yesterday. So we're going to try to stay in our time today, glory to God, and get all of this word out. Glory to Jesus. God is so good. I, I— do you love him? Amen. He's so wonderful and mighty and precious and awesome. You know, there's no God like our God, man. He, he's an, uh He's an amazing Father. He's a good, good Father. So yesterday we talked about a greedy spirit. Amen. And today we're gonna jump— glory to God— to, uh, deal with the spirit of jealousy. But before I dive into that, I want to lay a backdrop and talk about how, you know, jealousy, envy, and greed you know, really can be transferred. I want to really talk about off the top of this, the transference of spirits. So, uh, stay with me today, uh, this is going to be good for the soul. Amen. Again, and this still is a part of our strife teaching, uh, because we discovered yesterday that greed is, is a type of strife and conflict. Glory to God. We're also going to see today that jealousy is as well, and we do realize, we are clear according to scripture, that strife and conflict and all, all this confusion and drama and stress, this stuff hinders the blessing of God that he wants to release into our life and flow into our world. So we're gonna jump in this, man. Let's pray, let's pray, because I'm ready to teach. Glory to God. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, I thank you today for this opportunity to share your word with this, your precious people. And Father, I decree and declare, God, that they will be blessed by you and never impressed by me. I pray that you will get the glory out of this. I pray that as the word of the Lord is released, it will be released in authority, power. And I pray, God, that it will be released in such a way that according to your word, you said you sent your word and it healed them. So Father, even as we teach today, I pray that there will be healing that comes through this teaching. There will be deliverance, there will be reconciliation that comes through this teaching. There will be a— oh my God— an elevation, an edification, and an empowerment that comes through this word. Father, we thank you right now for the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of the Holy Ghost. Father, we thank you, God, as we honor you through fasting, as we're turning our plates down, God, as we're fasting from things, God, that we enjoy and that we like, and as we're fasting for fire and seeking You so that we can serve you better and advance the kingdom more accurately and skillfully, God, and that we can share you with others. Father, we're praying today that the fire of heaven will be released in our life. I'm thanking you in advance for every person connected to this fast, God, whether they're in Rhoda Church or even our partners who's fasting with us outside of the Rhoda Family of Churches. I decree and declare that there will be a super fire glory to God, that will ignite in their lives and it will change everything they touch. It will consume everything that's not like you. It will cause a passion to pursue their dreams and their visions like never before. And we give you praise for it now. Thank you for the spirit of action that comes from fire. Yes, God, because if, if we're on fire, we're gonna move. Glory to God. Hallelujah. There's no way in the natural if we're burning that we won't move. Glory to God. Hallelujah. So Father, I thank you that as we burn on the inside and as the fire of God floods our life, I declare yes, yes, yes, yes. Glory to God. That we will take great action in the things of God, and we give you praise for it now in Jesus' name. Amen and thank you. God. Hallelujah! Oh my God, I love him, he's so good. Uh, good afternoon everyone. Good afternoon Zion, good to see you. Good afternoon Sharia, good to see you. So glad you guys are here again. Once again, family, please, uh, share this. Glory to God, because, uh, it's going to be a great teaching and I think many will be blessed by it. Praise God. Hallelujah! So let's jump into this, all right. So yes, Lord. Well, I love Jesus. He's a good God. Hallelujah. He's a mighty, mighty God. Praise be to God. Hallelujah. So, so again, the spirit of conflict, the spirit of greed, the spirit of jealousy, the spirit of envy. So the stronghold— we talked about this yesterday— the chief demon is conflict, is strife. And inside of strife, you got these sub-demonic forces that are operating. Uh, one of them is greed. We talked about that yesterday, and today we're going to talk about another one called jealousy. But before we do that, I want to talk about how spirits are transferable. All right, so you have to be sure that you're keeping the right company and in the right environment, because the transference of spirits is real. You listen, you don't need to be around no one. Hear me, guys, that— listen, listen to me really closely— that's carrying something that's going to be toxic to your journey, to your progress, to your forward movement. You don't need to be on fire and all you're around is people that's cold water. And all they doing is throwing ice water on your fire. The reality is you have to be clear of your environment. You go into environments as a burning one— watch this— not to be— oh boy, here we go— not to be one that blends in. You enter twofold. You enter as a thermometer So you come in on fire measuring the temperature where you are. Oh my God, yeah. And then you become a thermostat to change the temperature and turn people up to where you are. If you're not assigned to turn them up, you don't need to be in that room. Are you hearing this? You don't need to be in that environment because at the end of the day you're wasting your time. And 9 times out of 10, you gonna go dead before you turn them up. So I want to talk about this really quick because we absorb— for real, guys, listen to me— we absorb the spirit of who we spend time with. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. And again, you better make sure the people you're around that iron is sharpening iron. Yeah, all right, yeah, yeah, y'all here? And that you are there to influence and they're there to influence. Listen, in any covenant connection, if you didn't come to give, you came to take. I'll say that again. If you didn't come to give, you came to take. The reality is, when you connect with people and you're bringing everything to the table and they're not bringing anything, that's a red flag that either A, you need to be doing something to help them and then keep it moving, or B, you're not assigned to that environment and you need to get out that environment Oh my God, and be an influencer. I'm not talking about through your posts, I'm talking about, glory to God, with your life, really being an influencer. These people out here calling themselves influencers— listen, just because you got a million followers on Instagram, I'm here to tell you, you are not— it didn't make you an influencer. Because if you, if you got a million followers because you had naked You're not influencing nobody, or what you're doing is inciting lust. That's what you're doing. And reality is, people are following you because they want to look at your body. Or if you're doing something crazy and people are following you, you're not an influencer. Leadership is the ability to influence followers to a— watch this— transformative goal. So if you're a leader and you're an influencer You're leading people to transformation, to change. So again, remember this, guys, you absorb— good God— the people that are around you. And so you've got to make sure that you are— you have people around you that bring something to the table, because if you didn't come to give you came to take. I want you to understand that. So when you show up to any covenant, any friendship, marriage, relationship, you ought to show up to give. What makes, uh, my life with Felicia great? Because we both showed up to give. We didn't show up to take from each other. We— she brings to the table what I need for my life I bring to the table what she needs with her life, and we complement each other. We both come to give, and that's the success of any covenant. Because again, when you're around people and you're in situations, you are absorbing the culture you're in, and you need to make sure that what you are absorbing is good. It's edifying. It's building you up. It's strengthening you. Oh yeah, glory to God. Glory to— somebody said, oh, here you go, here you go, he already coming at our throat. Yes, because I want you to be better, man, and I don't want you to feel obligated to be in communities and cultures and in spaces and with people that you're not designed to walk with. Oh my God. And you can't worry about what they think, what they say. When you jet and step off— listen, you just gotta step off and decide, I gotta do what's best for me. Because if people don't receive you— Jesus even said it in Matthew 10— shake the dust from your feet. I'm staying too long on that point, let me move. Glory to God. So let's consider Elijah and Elisha. All right, 2 Kings 2, verses 1 through 13. I'm not going to read all of that, but put it in the chat. I want you to go back and read it later. 2 Kings chapter 2, verses 1 through 13. I'm not going to read it, but I just want to summarize what happens here. God gives an instruction to Elisha and says, if you see him ascend, you're going to receive— watch this— a double portion of what's on his life. In other words, you're going to absorb what's on him. There's going to be a transference of spirit because you remain in the environment with this master prophet, and you're going to get what he has double. So, oh my God. So ultimately, when we read it, you'll discover that Elisha obeyed, and he actually did receive a transference of spirits where he received double. Glory to God. So transference of spirits is real on the good end and the bad end. That's what I want you to understand. And if you keep buying into bad stuff, bad habits, bad motives, uh, oh my God, people who lack integrity toward you, glory to God, you're going to start absorbing that spirit. It's going to make you feel bad. It's going to make you feel invaluable. It's going to make you feel worthless. Because you allow somebody that has no idea who you are, and what you're doing is allowing them to coexist in your space without revelation. And where there's no revelation— hear me, hear me, family— there's always violation. If I have not been revealed to you, listen to me, you will violate me every time. If you have not been revealed to me I will violate you. So when you enter into spaces with people that you're assigned to walk with, instead of trying to know them after the flesh— 2 Corinthians chapter 5. Oh my God, you— Jesus, uh, oh my God, Jesus is exalted so much by the Apostle Paul here in his way of thinking. First of all, uh, 5:17 says, if any man be in Christ, he's a new creation. So he understands when Christ shows up in our life, we're new, all right? We're brand new. But right before that, in— oh my God— 5:13, Corinthians 5:13, 2 Corinthians 5:13, he says— 5:16, I'm sorry— he says, let us henceforth now no longer know one another after the flesh. So watch this. So that means when people show up in your life, I need you to understand you need to take the time— somebody type that in the, in the, in the chat for me— 2 Corinthians 5:16, that we're to no longer know each other after the flesh, but we're at— we're gonna know one another after the Spirit, as Christ knows us after the Spirit. So when you enter into covenant with people You need to take the time— listen to me— to get to know them after the spirit and get a revelation. That's what he's saying. Pray through to the revelation about the people in your life. Yeah, I know my wife well. I know her mood. I know her ups. I know her downs. I know her personality. You know why? Not because I've been with her, because I prayed for her. I prayed that God revealed her to me. I'm— I know the people that labor among me because I pray for them often, that God will show me things about their heart, about their life, about their past, so I know how to handle them. Oh boy, I know people I enter into business deals with because I pray for revelation. Oh my God, I, I know if they shady. Glory! Y'all ain't got to talk. Listen, I'm telling you right now, it works. We should not know one another after the flesh. And some people are serving in ministries, serving in kingdom positions, and the people around them are not receiving the fullness of that value because they're knowing them after the flesh. But I'm telling you right now, the Apostle Paul said it clear. Let us know— let's, let's cut that out. Come on, Shawty, let— come on, let's cut that out and let's pray. Come on, man, let's pray that God give us clarity about the people we're walking with. Glory to God. Because listen, when you understand who I am, you'll understand I'm balanced. You'll understand, glory to God, that I know when it's time to laugh. You, but you also know when I'm serious if you pray through the revelation and you understand that you can't just play with me all the time because I'm a leader. And at the end of the day, I see that Prophet Mamie, that people will get too familiar with you when you play with them all the time. You cannot do that when you, when you're a leader, when you're working with people. You gotta watch this, live from a place of honor. It's again, I'm not saying be arrogant and be, oh my God, hey, basura, kikata, ba ba ba. So, and act like you're better than everybody. But what I am saying, you live from a place of honor where you honor others for who they are and they honor you for who you are because revelation has been revealed instead of sizing people up in the flesh. or watch this— dealing with people based on what you heard. I was saying it yesterday, that's why I ain't got time. Glory to God, I don't have time. Glory to Jesus, my God, today to deal with people that are dealing with me based on what they think they know about me from my past. Good God. Or what they think they know about me, glory to God, from family connection. I don't have time because they've tried to analyze my position in their flesh. I do not have time. And I, I've spent time to— with those to whom I have been revealed, and I suggest you do the same, because otherwise it's going to stagnate. I'm on this too long. Go to Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy. Oh, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy 34:19. I want to show this to you. Are y'all getting anything out of this? Glory to God. 34:9. I'm sorry, 34:9. Glory to Jesus. Glory to Jesus. My God today. My God today. 34:9. Here's what the Bible says. Watch this. It says, and Joshua— glory to God. Glory to God. Let's show Ramiah. Hallelujah. The son of Nun was full of the Spirit. Now let me just stop right there because I want to show you how— I want to show this, um, Yeshua. Uh, you, you hear Dr. Cargill saying that, uh, when she prays and when she talks, and all she's doing is saying the Hebrew word for salvation or rescue or Jesus or Jehovah, Yeshua. So, or Joshua. Glory to God. And this literally means rescue, saved. It means A leader who saves. Okay, so watch this. The son of Nun. So the leader who is saved— watch this— is the son of Nun, or Nun in Hebrew, which means posterity. Oh, wait a minute. So God never talks to us about prosperity, which comes through salvation and rescue in our soul, in our spirit, in our material good, without first dealing with posterity. Posterity is established legacy. It's wisdom, oh my God, that already knows the outcome. So what makes Joshua an effective leader was not because he walked with Moses. It was because he was a son of Nun who passed on posterity and stability and loyalty and commitment to his son Joshua. Oh, if you never served with a leader that is bold enough to correct you when you're wrong, that's bold enough to teach you stability and posterity, you'll never be effective as you move forward to do what— oh my God— what God has called you to do. My God, today Ushabataia, bransa tabako. You want to serve, uh, a weak spaghetti-backed leader that just give you 3 points and a hoop, but you don't want to be corrected. You don't want fathers in your life that teach you stability, that teach you posterity, so that as you prosper, you have longevity and you're able to pass that down to those that come behind you. Oh God, my God, today I gotta, I gotta move, man. I gotta move. Let me, let me read, let me read. He said, and none who was— watch this— and Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom. Why? Because he sat under wisdom. He sat under prosperity. It didn't just happen. Oh my God. Because he was Joshua. He became wise and full of the spirit of wisdom because there was a transference of spirit. Listen, transference of spirits is real, people. It's real, it's real, it's real. Ooh, that wisdom was transferred from Nun to Joshua. Watch this. When Moses had laid up hands upon him, and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, as did the Lord commanded Moses. So watch this. When Moses saw this, he consecrated him, laid hands on him, set him apart, and, and lifted him up in the eyes of the people because he saw the posterity in his life. Listen, you ought to thank God for leadership. That will push you to the next levels. Oh my God, they won't try to hold you back. That will challenge you in the things that are in your belly, that'll push you outside of your comfort zone. That's why I push y'all to get up at 5 and pray. I push y'all to get on here at noon and listen to this word. I push you to fast. I push you, glory to God, to do what you say you're gonna do and be obedient. Because I want the very best for you, and I want your gifts to show up in the world in a huge way. Oh my God, thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Go to Psalms 1:1. Y'all know this. Psalms 1:1. Glory to God. Psalms 1, verse 1. I hope y'all learning something today. Glory to God. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father. Glory to God. Thank you, Jesus. I love you too, Dr. Tam. Glory to God. Thank you, ma'am. Glory to God. Psalm 1:1, the Bible says, blessed is the man— oh my God— that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners. Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Listen, what he is saying here, the psalmist is saying— and watch this, Moses wrote this song. David didn't write this, Moses wrote this one. There are some songs that Moses wrote. This is a Psalm of Moses. Glory to God. And he says, don't sit passively and idly in the path where sinners walk. Don't rest and relax in positions where you're being scorned and abused and not appreciated. Are y'all hearing me? Yo, think about this, where you can be at a workplace and in a break room at lunchtime and people will gather and they'll sit and talk and gossip. Or you get a group of church folk who are clickish, who will go out to eat after church and sit at the table and talk and laugh and play and be carnal and, and, oh my God, gossip about everybody and talk about the service, uh, in a negative way, scorning others. Are you hearing this? The Bible said don't sit passively in that, that spirit. Trans— you know why it becomes easy for you to do it? Because you start sitting around that playful demon. Oh my God, oh my God, you know Maturity says, again, when it's time to laugh, it's time to laugh. Maturity also says when it's time to be serious, it's time to be serious. And if you mature, you don't laugh when it's time to be serious. Hear me. Oh my God, oh my God, I love y'all. Okay. You're not serious when it's time to laugh, but you learn to balance life in a way where you control your environments and the things that attach to you. Oh my God, oh my God. Verse 2 said, but your delight should be in the law of the Lord, and in his law you should meditate day and night. So your delight— let's, let's break it down— your shephet in Hebrew, which means, glory to God, your pleasure. It should be your pleasure to obey the King, to do the things he asks of you, to live for him. It should be your pleasure, hallelujah, to pursue him. There should be a hunger in you where you are pleased with going after the face of God. Oh my God, that your, your delight is in his way of doing things, not in your way of doing things. Watch this. And then it says, in that way, in that law, in God's kingdom laws, his constitution, we meditate in it both day and night. The word meditate is hagi in Hebrew, and it means you chew it up. Swallow it. It's gonna sound nasty to you. You regurgitate it, chew it some more, and swallow it. Which means you, you make sure that the word and that the life of God and the ways of God become one with you, and that they— watch this— that they never are second nature. We talked about this a little this morning at 5 o'clock prayer. You got to seek ye first the kingdom of God. You got to eliminate the problem of priority, and you got to decide that never will your way be above God's way. Never will you choose your way over what God says. And I know, I know, you say, Apostle, I don't do that. I always go God's way. No, you don't. No, you don't. No, no, you don't. There are times where things come up because I don't, and, and, and I have to constantly chew it up in those areas and meditate on the word of the Lord. Oh my God, shabati anso, so that I can become one with his way. So the next time I face those challenges, I don't choose Michael's way, I choose God's way. I choose faith, I choose trust. And you have to work on that. That's why he says day and night, day and night. That's 24 hours. Yeah, yeah, it's 24 hours. Oh my God. Oh God, I love you, Jesus. God, you're so good. Go to Proverbs 22. Proverbs 22, let's go. Glory to God. Proverbs 22. I pray I get through. Glory to God. I pray I get to jealous. I'm just trying to lay a backdrop about these transference of spirits. Proverbs 22 and 24, because I want you to regulate this in your life. All right, watch this. Proverbs 22:24, it says, make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man thou shall not go. Verse 25, lest you learn his ways. There we go, there's the transference of spirits. And get a snare to your soul. So, so wait a minute, don't make friendship. Oh my God, oh my God, don't— that don't— what it means, don't tend, don't graze, don't sit at the table, you know, don't be out with them, okay? Don't waste your time with an angry man, okay? Let it— it pays to look at this aph, A-P-H, in Hebrew. It pays to look at this word closely. Uh, watch this. An angry man— watch this— is a man who— you ready— that breathes rapidly, that is constantly looking for trouble. Hey, always. And you may not see this, but in their spirit, their spirit is rapidly breathing because they're always looking to sow discord. They're always looking to cause a problem. Am I to make no friendship with this person? Because you're gonna get a snare in your soul and you're gonna learn his ways. You don't want that. It's going to slow you down. All right, go to Proverbs 23. Just back up a few verses, a few chapters. Proverbs 1 chapter. Go forward one chapter. I'm sorry, verse 20 and 21. Oh, I pray you're getting something out of this. Okay, are y'all ready? Here we go, here we go. It says, this is 23:20, be not among winebibbers. Uh-oh. Kaba in Hebrew, those who drink heavily. Again, the only reason you need to be there if you're in the presence of a winebibber is to share the gospel with them, and they're probably not going to receive it while they're drunk anyway. So most of the time you need to get out of the way of that. Be not among winebibbers— oh my God— whoo— among riotous eaters of flesh. Oh my God. Basar is flesh, which is meat, the body of animals. Glory to God. Um, listen, let me watch this. He's saying, yes, that does greedy people, people who get drunk, people who are greedy, eating meat and partying. This is symbolic of partying. He said, listen, you need to be from among that. Well, Apostle, I thought I can be saved and go to the club. Listen, I'm— listen, I'm not the final judge. You probably can get, get in heaven and go to the club, but what I will tell you, you will not have heaven on earth because God is pure, he's clean. And if you— and you're going to have stagnation throughout your life because I'm not— I can't judge you in the end. I don't know what's going to happen, but here's what I know. There's a way way of holiness. There's a way of doing right, and you have to come from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord. That's what the Bible say. Come from among them and be ye separate. How are you saved? Hey, come on, listen. I got invited to be on the podcast and I'm still working out how this is gonna work because these guys on this podcast, on the table, the whole podcast is liquor, and they sitting there drinking while they're interviewing their guests. They want to talk to me, glory to God, but I'm trying to right now establish rules. Okay, y'all can't be sitting there drinking this while y'all talking to me. And, and I'll tell you why while I'm on the show. But at the end of the day, I mean, because they're sitting up there getting drunk, they're talking carnal, because that's not what I'm coming to do. You ask for me, you asking for me, so you got to clean up your table if I'm coming. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. Oh, someone said, Apostle, you're wrong, you should just go. No, no, no. Where I am is just as important as who I am. And I have to set a standard, a plumb line for myself. Oh my God, oh my God, today. Oh my God, oh my God. Shannon Sharp calls— if he calls me to come sit down with him, we— I'm not toasting cognac with him. Glory to God, there will be no cognac toast. So that probably means I'll never be on the show unless he want the anointing, unless he wants some power, unless he wants some wisdom from above. How y'all hearing me? Glory to God. Because, because I have a standard that I have to uphold. Boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. Oh Jesus. He said, don't be among these winebibbers and partiers, riotous eaters of flesh, for the drunkard and glutton shall come to poverty. Wait a minute, wait a minute. Them that eat too much and drink too much, their destiny is poverty. Poor of spirit. They, they could have a lot of money but be poor of spirit, poor of the things of God, because they're choosing to satisfy their flesh over their spirit. Oh, that's why we're crucifying the flesh on these 21 Days of Action, so that we'll, we'll be— we'll form a habit of keeping our flesh crucified. Glory to God. In every situation, he said they're gonna come to poverty and drowsiness. They're going to be sleepy. They're going to walk around life sleepy, not really understanding what's going on. Sleepy, oblivious to kingdom ways. Oh my God. Oh my God. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Glory to Jesus. Oh, you don't want to get drowsy, walking around life sleep, lazy, can't get nothing done, just sleep, because you're hanging around with the wrong people and you don't call that spirit. And because you're around it and you did it in your past, and, and maybe wine or alcohol or weed, or— glory to the name of God— whatever your vice was, was an escape for you. So you think, okay, well, it's okay for me to just take a little glass of wine or smoke a little weed to get to sleep. No, you're drowsy, you're asleep, you're not alert to the things of God. Oh Jesus, oh, you don't get to roll up a blunt or smoke you a little reefer Oh my God, if you're trying to walk out kingdom and walk out the things of God, that's not what we do. Hmm, glory to God. You don't, you don't get your, uh, nightly nightcap glass of wine to get you to sleep. Go to sleep in the Holy Ghost and then worship. Come on, y'all, glory to God. Rebe satavakusa netunda daise. We give you the glory, we give you the honor. I'm almost done. Glory to God. I, I'm not going to get the jealousy today. I'm glad I got 21 days to teach this. Glory to God. Let's go back to Proverbs. So, so you're saying basically don't associate with angry people, partying people, drug-using people. Your only assignment to them is to bring the light of God to them. You want to get drunk? I got some ways for you to get drunk. You get drunk in the Holy Ghost. You get drunk off worship, in prayer. Glory to God. You can get drunk off the word. The Spirit of the Living God will fill you so that you will get drunk in the spirit. And that kind of drunkenness increases your intent, your body becomes an antenna. It becomes sensitive to the things of the Spirit. Oh boy, Lord have mercy. What? Jesus, I'm looking for some folk that want to take a drink in the Spirit. Glory to God. They want to get drunk in the Holy Ghost. Glory to Jesus. They want to get drunk on the things of God. They want to get drunk in purpose. You don't need no natural high. Glory to God. All you need is a real relationship with God. I'm not talking about religion. I'm not talking about sedition, legalism, and tradition. I'm talking about truly fellowshipping with the Holy Ghost. I'm not talking about the man upstairs. I'm talking about the man inside. Go! Woo! Shabbat! Reb'an soto rabba kai. Fellowshipping with the man on the inside. Oh, glory to God! Woo! Shabbat! Reb'an soto rabba batai. 'til he makes you drunk, 'til you can't stand. Glory to God. The Bible says that on the day of Pentecost, when Peter stood up to preach, he said to them, he said, "These men are not drunk as ye suppose, but they are drunk on Holy Ghost, and they are drunk on fire." I am believing, people of God, that as we go through this fast, there will be a transference through the Holy Ghost that will cause us to walk in supernatural drunkenness, where our body is our antenna and we're sensing interested into the things of God. Glory to God. Oh, calm down, Michael. Listen, it don't take me long. This fast already is affecting me in a huge way. I'm telling you right now. Glory to Jesus. We give you glory, God. We give you honor. We give you praise. Stay with me, stay with me. Proverbs 22:10. Glory to God. 22:10. Jesus, this is what we're going to do with that thing, that scorner. Those spirits that's been transferred to our life that ain't of God. Hallelujah. The Bible said, cast out the scorner and contention shall go out. Watch this. The scorner, that's that lutz in Hebrew, that's that spirit of strife, that spirit— oh my God— of arrogant division, that spirit of arrogant talking, that spirit of pride. He said, if you drive out this chief demon Contention will also go. It has no choice because it only lives through the scorner, through the accuser of the brethren, through division. He said, yay, strife and reproach shall cease. So strife, abuse, reproach, whispering, gossip, all that ceases. When you get the scorner out of your life. Okay, let's break that down again. Lutz, the scorner. Oh my God, the one that scorns at the mouth, that arrogantly downplays others, brings division, causes strife, causes conflict. That's that chief. And you, you listen, you got to get him out of your life. And so in the name of Jesus, I decree and declare right now that any sign of the scorner in your life, where you talk about people and talk down to people to make yourself feel better, I decree and declare that that demon, that that spirit be renounced in your life now, and I cast it out by the blood and by the authority of Jesus Christ. I veto, I bring to a halt. And I command that spirit to leave you now. Every spirit of racism, every spirit of prejudice, white or black. Glory to God. That's that scorning demon that causes strife to others, that think you're superior to others. Whoa, let me tell you, let me tell you, you're not superior to others. Because you maybe know something they don't, or because you speak with tongues and they don't. Your, your job is to be a light to them and teach them God, what do you know? Oh boy, oh boy, good God Almighty. Glory to God. Let me just break this down for you. What scorners and mockers do, they make fun of others in gesture or word. They insult the character of others. They treat others with contempt. They speak contempt against their life. They have a bad attitude against other people, and they slander other people. Most of the time when you see someone consistently talking about somebody else— my God, today, whoa— they ain't good with themselves, man. They're not at peace with themselves, and they're carrying the spirit of a scorner, and they're slandering other people. Glory to God. You got— you know, I know I got it— people that follow me on social media They'll like my picture and then turn around and inbox somebody about the picture they saw and talk about it and slander. They'll like a video I'm on and then talk about it. Glory to God. I know it because God has showed it to me. But the reality is that's a problem within them. He shows it to me to, to mature me, to say, okay, you got to pray for your enemies. You got to pray for those that despitefully use you and work all manner of evil against you. You cannot allow this— that spirit they're operating in— are y'all hearing me?— to be transferred to you so you retaliate to what they're doing. I know for a fact there are people in my own life, in my families, you know, glory to God, on both sides, my in-laws and, glory to God, my natural family, that smile in my face and talk about me behind their back. Yeah, I know you're doing it. Guess what? I don't care. I love you. I love you. I pray for you daily. Yes, I do. But I know you do it, okay? And listen, it's— and let me tell you something, when you grow up, guys, it's okay to know what people are doing to you and love them in spite of, and pray for them in spite of. Don't let the spirit they're walking in be transferred to you and you start doing what they do. Oh my God, oh, the glory of Jesus. I'm— listen, my time I gone. I got 10 minutes. We're gonna have to hit jealousy tomorrow. Glory to God. Thank you, Prophet. I love you. Thank you for being on here. I appreciate you, woman of God. Oh my God. Oh, shut up. Oh God, I give you praise. Lord, you're wonderful. Listen, you got to spend time— and I'm closing with these two points— with people. Hear me, I'm gonna pull in a little on this camera. You got to spend time with people who make you better. Listen, your best gifts and talents— I'm pulling in close, take note of this— will surface in the presence of extraordinary people. Oh, that was tweetable. That's good. Thank you, Holy Ghost. I'm gonna say it again. Your best Gifts and talents are going to surface in the presence of extraordinary people. Oh boy, oh boy. That's why I spend time listening to people who are extraordinary in my field, in my business field, in the marketplace, and in ministry, so that I can— because when I'm around a Stephen A. Davis, my best emerges because I'm in the presence of an extraordinary general. Are you hearing this? When you're in the— when I'm around, uh, uh, my God, uh, Bishop Noel Jones, glory to God, who is a theologian, glory to the name of God, my best is gonna surface when I'm in that room. When I'm around a billionaire named Stedman Graham. My best thoughts are gonna flow and emerge in the presence. I'm telling you, y'all try it. Spend time with people that make you better. The Bible says, yeah, that iron sharpens iron. So that means I need to, again, be around people that make me better, that position me— watch this— and not poison me. Oh, oh, oh, I gotta spend time with people who will properly position me and who are not there to poison me. Oh God, you better check your circle and make sure there's not anyone in the circle that's there to poison you. Remember I said at the beginning, if you didn't come to give, you came to take. And many times, if you came to take, you also came to destroy. The thief come not but for to steal, take, kill, and destroy. So those two things follow after the taker. Oh, they don't just want to steal, they don't just want to take, but ultimately they will destroy you. So spend time with people— good God from Zion— that make you better, and they will not poison you. Last point: who we closely associate with— hear me— is possibly— hear me— one of the most important decisions we can make in our life. Check your associations. Position yourself correctly and let God— my God, today be God in your life. Oh my God, let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, I pray your people were blessed, God. And Father, as we have eaten this word, this teaching today, God, let us apply it. Revelation without application is constipation. So Father God, give us the wherewithal and the boldness to apply what we've heard, to guard our life, to guard our space, to be mindful of where we are, to be mindful that we are both thermostats and thermometers. We only measure to change. Oh God, not to blend into the temperature, but to make the temperature better. And Father, give us to know, God, let us show up to give in the relationships that we have. Let us bring our value to those lives that are connected to us. And Father, I thank you for fire. I thank you for day 2 of this fast. I thank you for the strength of my family, God. We're gonna win together. We're gonna finish this fast together. We're going to cast down all of the temptation to do the things that the fast do not allow us to do, and we are going to win. And we praise you for it now in Jesus' name. Amen. And thanks be to God. Listen, I love you guys so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you for joining us. Thank you for listening today. Uh, I pray you have been blessed by this teaching as it has blessed me. Listen, none of this stuff is impromptu. The Holy Spirit gives me this stuff and I jump in front of this camera and I am teaching you what the Lord has given me. So we're being blessed together. Glory to God. Hallelujah. We're receiving together. And I'm telling you, we're going to grow together and life is going to be good and better for us all together. Listen, we're better together. Um, if you're not fasting with us and you desire to, it's not too late. We're on day 2. You still can be a part. Listen, go to rhodachurch.com fast, F-A-S-T, the number 2-4. That's radahchurch.com/fast24 and click the red button, download the fast guide. That's all you got to do. Join us for prayer every morning at 5. Join us for teaching every day at 12 noon, and we fast from midnight to 3 every day, uh, no meat of any kind. That means no beef, no pork, no chicken, No fish, no shrimp, none of that. Uh, we are fruit and vegetables only after 3 o'clock. And, uh, listen, I'm excited about this. God is doing something in this, guys. So if you want to fast with us, please make sure you go to the website. I'm going to challenge you like I always do— get a seed in the ground if you feel led today. The ways to give are scrolling at the bottom of the screen. Get a seed in the ground and give an offering unto the Lord today. I love you guys. Y'all be blessed. Heaven smile upon you. It's my prayer. Uh, listen, guess what? You got about 2 hours before you can eat. Amen. So pray, read, watch this again, take some more notes. Glory to the name of God. Whatever you need to do. I love you guys. May the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and add no sorrow to it. Uh, thank you, daughter, for putting that on the screen. There it is, rhodachurch.com/fast24. Oh, I forgot, don't go. And maybe they're still here. Maybe they'll see this on the replay for those that are not saved. Glory to God! If you're watching us and your business is not straight with God, that means if you died right now, you know your business is not straight and you would go to hell. I want to pray for you, whether you're a backslider that left God or whether you, glory to the name of God, are a sinner that has never been born again. Listen, I'm telling you, the things we've talked about today, you can experience them for real. You can experience the joy of revelation, knowing who you are. You could be a kingdom citizen, and you can have a family, glory to the name of God, that understands you, that can strengthen you. And it's all available right now if you would just open your heart and receive. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, and every saint praying with me, I ask of you, God, that if there's someone watching this live or by replay, that perhaps whether they're on Instagram or Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, wherever they are, I decree and declare, dear God, as we pray, that you will give them a heart to receive you right now. Even by the foolishness of teaching and preaching. God, you said you have confounded the wise. So I decree and declare today that someone who does not know you, they will accept not religion, not legalism, but they will receive you right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Now, if you're here and you say, Apostle, my business is not straight, I want to be born again, I want to be a part of the kingdom of God, I just need you to repeat after me. The Bible says if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus died and he rose again, you'll be saved. I just need you right here to pray this prayer with me. Say, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, and I ask you, God, to come into my life and live in me. Say, I confess that I am a sinner, and I ask you today, take the throne of my life. I receive you because I believe that you died and rose again, and I declare I am saved. Glory to God! Listen, if you've prayed that prayer with me, You're born again right now. The next step, Acts 2:38 says, repent of your sins. You just did that. The Bible says, and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Spirit. I want to help you with both. Glory to God. If you want to take those next steps, and I— and you should, glory to the name of God. And you want more about what you just did, again, roddochurch.com/contact. Send me an email, say, Apostle Woods, I prayed with you today, I received Jesus Christ into my life, and I want to be baptized, I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit, can you tell me how? I'll be glad to do it. I'm here to serve you. Amen. All right guys, I love you guys. Once again, y'all be blessed. Heaven smile upon you is my prayer. Listen, I'm telling you, this fast is— we're gonna, we're gonna make it, we're gonna make it. Don't faint. Don't faint. Oh my God, don't faint. We're gonna keep going because we're going to win. Amen. God bless your hearts. Y'all be blessed. Peace. Hallelujah.
