Thursday Night Thirst with Apostle Michael Woods, Sr. | "The Source of Dominion" | 5 March 2026

Apostle Michael Woods Sr. teaches that God is the ultimate source of provision and that believers exercise dominion by aligning with His presence. He identifies three obstacles blocking this flow: serving two masters, anxiety over material needs, and prioritizing worldly systems over God's kingdom. Woods unpacks Matthew 6 with Greek terms and personal ministry stories to show how to live as God's representatives.
Chapters
In your reign. We exalt you, Michael Lyris Woods. We exalt thee. We exalt thee. We adore thee, oh Lord. We adore thee. We exalt thee. We exalt thee, O Lord. We exalt thee. We exalt thee. We exalt thee. Oh Lord, we exalt thee. We exalt thee. We exalt thee, oh Lord. I will bless the Lord. I will bless the Lord, oh my soul. And all that is within me blesses Holy— name. I will bless Bless the Lord, bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Come on, sing it again. I will bless the Lord.
I will bless the Lord, oh my soul, oh my soul, and all that is within me. Bless His holy name.
Come on again.
I will, I will bless the Lord, oh my soul, oh my soul, and all, and all That, that is within me bless his holy name.
Father, we thank you for another opportunity to come into your house and give your name praise. To give your name glory. God, there's no one like you nowhere. I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Father, do something unusual in this room tonight. Do something man cannot do. Charge this atmosphere, saturate the walls with wisdom and knowledge and revelation. And Father, when we get wisdom, we understand that's the proper use of revelation. And so, Father, as revelation comes forth, give us the wisdom to use it adequately and accurately. And we give you praise and glory for it now.
Not just another teaching, not just another gathering, God, but thank you for the portals of heaven open in the midst of us even now.
And speak to us, God, and do something that we have never seen before in our lives as we apply your word. As we're not just hearers but also doers.
And we thank you for it now. We bless your holy name. Hallelujah! We bless your holy name. As the psalmist said, we bless your holy name with all that is within us. Hallelujah! We bless your holy name. Bless his home. Last time, bless his hole. Bless his hole. Come on, open your mouth and worship him a few moments. Come on, I know it's just a few of us here tonight, but open your mouth and worship him. He's worthy to be glorified, he's worthy to be exalted, he's worthy to be lifted up. Hallelujah! Come on, open your mouth. Hallelujah! I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Hallelujah! The best way to taste him is through worship. Worship is a tool of construction, and every time you worship him, you're building yourself up. We give you the glory, Jesus. Hallelujah!
We honor your name, Father. We thank you for the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of your Spirit tonight. Let your word come forth with power and authority, and we bless you now. Hallelujah! In Jesus' name. Glory to God. Give God a hand of praise. Hallelujah! God is so good. Yeah, he's worthy to be worshiped every time we come in this building, not just on Thursday and Sunday.
Every time.
Glory to God. Every time we walk in the door, he's worth—
that's why we're here.
Yeah, not because I asked you to be here. We're here because of him. Glory to God.
Amen.
Yeah, because I believe those of you that are here are here because you love him, because if I ask you, you're gonna do what you want to do anyway. Glory to God.
So hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
I'm just saying. Yeah, the proof is in the pudding. Glory to God. We gotta do better about obedience, man. Yeah, and accountability. Amen. Because if it wasn't for this live, a lot of people that ain't here wouldn't get this word that they desperately need. Yeah, nobody has mastered dominion, so that means we need to hear the word taught about it.
Amen.
All right, so if I could show up on Thursday, you can too.
I'm—
I think I'm probably— if we measured busyness, I might be up at the top of the chain. Glory to God. But I'm here. Glory to the name of God. And we need to be in the building.
All right, so tonight I'm gonna jump right in this.
I want to welcome our live audience that's watching us live. Glory to the name of God. Praise God. Y'all do me a favor, if you're tapping in, glory to God, right now please share this, uh, tag someone below. Let's engage this live tonight so that this word can get out. So tonight we're going to continue We took a break because we were in Abundance Weekend, which I think abundance is a, a great part of dominion as well, because you cannot establish anything without wealth.
But tonight I want to talk about the source of dominion. Say that with me.
Say the source of dominion. And this is part 13, glory to God, of the mystery of dominion. And, uh, I'm telling you, I'm determined to make sure that, you know, I'm hearing from God with great sensitivity, uh, in my time of prayer concerning what I give you on this topic, because I'm determined for each of you to be able to take this word, apply, and actually be people of dominion.
Amen. All right, Kenley, go to my first slide.
Just hit the spacebar there for me. I'm gonna start with this.
Glory to God.
And then we're gonna kind of put Matthew 6 on the end. So just stay with me. Glory to God. So, and this is a real truth, man.
True alignment with and revelation of the source of a thing is born out of time spent in the presence of that source. I'm gonna say it again. True alignment with and revelation of the source of a thing is born out of time spent in the presence of the source. Let me just bring it close to you real quick. Most of us grew up with at least one parent in the house, and if that parent fed you a few times, you quickly discovered that they were your source of sustenance. You didn't have no job. Are y'all hearing this? You, you went to school every day. You wore the clothes they bought you. They were your source or your resource in the house. You became more confident in that source the more time you spent with them. Are y'all hearing me? As a matter of fact, I can go as far to say I took my mama and daddy for granted. I believe— a matter of fact, you should. There's a child. Take for granted these people gonna feed you, these people gonna clothe you, they're gonna make sure you have somewhere to sleep. And at one point I got to— in my life, I realized it was their responsibility to do that. Are y'all hearing this? But that came through time of them doing it. Now here's the issue with the church. We still lean on old systems and structures, and we think that we are our source.
Are y'all hearing this?
When he is the source. And the reason we get delusional and think that we're providing for ourselves, because we don't spend enough time in the presence of the source, and we don't recognize that everything that happens in our life comes from him. Are y'all with me? There's not one thing that happens in your life that God doesn't have something to do with. He's in control of your life. His times are in your hands, but you got to spend time in the presence of the source. So that means we ought to prioritize him. Him so that we'll understand his role in our lives. How do we do that? We gotta really restructure our environment. That's why I don't understand why we, we could believe on a lot of levels, man, that the environment we live in at home, the environment we work in every day supersedes the environment of God.
It doesn't.
That's why the Bible said, forsake not the assembly of yourself together as the manner of some is.
Are y'all hearing me?
He didn't tell you to stay at home and watch the live, okay? He says, let's come together so that we can corporately experience his presence. And understand he our daddy and he's our source. Because I don't care how nice your house is, there's something that happens in the house of God that can't happen at your house. Mine neither, because this is designed to host him in a corporate way. There are things you, you got to spend time at home with him, but at the same time, when it's time to come to the house You need to be in the house.
Are y'all hearing this?
So, so you can continue to understand, because he's going to do things for you, not just at home but in the house, so you know he's your source. Say that with me. Say, God's my source. So I can do nothing without him. Say, my times are in his hands. See, I was created In his image. Now watch this. You're creating this image, so you're created already in his likeness and presence. You're supposed to be like him. I'm not gonna be long tonight, I promise you. So I want y'all better get this while it's coming. Say that with me. Say, I was born to be like him. I are killing. Next slide. So let's, let's show them tonight how to restructure the environment for glory and kingdom provision. This is how we do it. Hit, hit the spacebar. Point number 1, stay right there. So in order to be like God, let's, let's, let's go, we must know God.
I'm going to say that again.
In order to be like God, not have good church and understand the way church go and know the right sound and know the right tongue to talk in. No, you got to really know him if you're going to be like him. You can learn church and be like church. Are y'all hearing this? But in order to be like God, you got to know God. And to know God, you got to spend time in his presence. Okay, so I have met some people, but I don't know them. And I don't know them because I hadn't spent time with them. I had somebody tell me one time, hey man, you know, I know Deion Sanders. I said, for real? I asked him one question. I said, what's his oldest son's name? I mean, he the most— one of the most popular people on earth. What's his son's name? He couldn't even tell me Dion's son's name.
Are y'all hearing me?
And I said, bro, you don't know him, because if you know Dion, he's going to talk about his children.
Any—
if you spend time with Dion, he's going to talk about his kids. I know that because I spent time with him. And guess what? He talks about his children all the time. So in order to know somebody, you got to be around them. Again, going back to corporate worship, we can't know one another if we don't spend time in community. Are you Y'all hearing this? And fellowshipping with each other.
Are y'all with me?
So if I want to know God, I got to spend some time in his presence. Not just this church, but you need to pray at home too. You need to worship at home as well. You don't need to be binging Netflix and Hulu and Marvel and Disney, whatever you watch. You spend some time with the Lord.
Amen.
Because that's the only way you can get to know him. Otherwise, you'll become a professional churchgoer. And that's what we don't want, because he real. And the people in the world need encounters with people that really know God. All right, let's go, granddaughter. Hit the next one. So before God created man— oh, I love this— he prepared an environment that was perfectly suited to him.
Glory to God.
So before God made Adam, going back to Genesis 1— you don't have to go there right now— but he recreated everything. Everything and made sure Adam would have everything he needed in Eden so that he could spend time fulfilling purpose and spend time with God.
Are y'all hearing this?
So God sourced out everything man needed. He put it in place in Eden. That's so good, man. Sin came in, broke down the order of things, removed God, because sin separates you from God. So now we tap into a new system of thinking that we don't need God to be the source. So we start working hard because that's the curse. Are y'all hearing this? To get everything we want, and we— some people will do you wrong to get what they want. Are y'all hearing this? They'll backbite, they'll stab you, they'll lie on you. But we got to get back to an environment where the source is always present.
Are y'all hearing this? I guess somebody, somebody this week thought they were going to stop me from teaching like this, but the reality is I'm going to have to keep teaching like this because I don't care what people say. So I'm just telling you a story real quick.
We were trying to have a meeting this year called Four Apostles Only.
I've had Pastor Jeffrey working on this venue, Billy Graham Training Center, the COVID up in Asheville, North Carolina. And so we got a contract for them one time last year. We decided not to do it.
Went back, everything was going okay.
They start delaying in contacting him back. I'm going somewhere with this, okay?
So finally they send him an email, but it's not from the person he's been speaking to. It's from the guest services manager, a Mr. Skeen, who runs it.
Glory to God.
And he runs the the property and who—
the events and all that stuff.
And he said to Pastor Jeffrey, he said, we, you know, we appreciate blah blah blah blah blah, people want to come seek the Lord and do— but we don't think we can host your meeting because of your— some of your views and expressions of the Holy Spirit.
Yes, what he said.
And some of your teachings on prosperity. So, so I, you know, I really was offended. He was laughing. Wasn't nothing funny to me. And I told him, shut up laughing because ain't nothing funny. No more funny. It wasn't funny. I'm talking to him and he laughing. I'm like, this ain't funny. The reality is I was offended just a little bit, and I said, okay, I'm gonna go home and make them viral. That's the first thought.
Holy Ghost said, no, don't do that.
So I wrote a very good letter today stating to them that one, they're not in line with Christ nor Billy Graham. Billy Graham brought people from all expressions together. And I remember last time Felicia and I was there, I prayed for a man. Remember this? And this man crying got blessed, prophesied to him, and he didn't know what happened because most of these people that attend the meetings there are Baptist dead, Baptist bred. Are y'all hearing this? But I took the opportunity because God opened the door to minister this man, and his life was changed. The man still contacts me today. I'm still interested in, in, in what you're carrying, and I'm watching you. I'm trying to figure out how to get this into my life. But they said we don't need to talk about having environments where the source is present and takes care of his people. I don't want to go there anyway, man. If y'all can't agree with this, this Bible, man, We're not limited to denomination and religion. We are biblical people. Are y'all hearing this? And the Bible clearly states that God set Adam in Eden, which means paradise, which means he lacked nothing, and God was the source. Turn yourself— say, God's my source. So when you get saved— okay, I'm getting ahead of myself. Go, go to the next point, Kenley. Next one. So Eden— watch this— represented a state of pure, complete, and unbroken fellowship between God and man. You know what the blood of Jesus does? It gives that state back to you when you allow the blood of Jesus to penetrate your life It gives you the opportunity to have pure, complete, and unbroken fellowship with God. How many want that? And do you realize when you have unbroken fellowship with God, he's always available as a source?
All right, next slide.
Keep going.
Hit it again.
So God's—
I love it—
original purpose for Eden. So he didn't create this with the idea that he would have to interrupt the Edenic experience for mankind. His purpose for Eden was for it to be duplicated throughout the world so that his glory would truly fill the earth. Watch this. God never changes.
He sent the second Adam so we can get back to paradise, which is Eden, so we can still duplicate God in relationship.
His glory can be seen throughout the world, through your life, through his provision. Through what he does for you. I wouldn't serve a god that wouldn't heal me if I'm sick. Are y'all hearing this? I mean, that's just— some people choose to serve Buddha, that's their choice. Buddha has no power. Are y'all hearing this? Okay, all right, so I'm not serving Buddha. Listen, if I got to serve some— a god like Buddha or Confucius, of Hare Krishna. I'm about to wild out, man. Y'all ain't hearing— I'm about to, I'm about to just go on. I ain't gonna even be saved or nothing. I'm not going to church because for what? None of it is real. Y'all ain't got it. Okay, all right, next point, Ken. So the presence of God is the active manifestation of God that fills the environment in which creation exists and lives. So this is when we start talking about what the presence is. I'm laying a backdrop to where I'm about to go about this source. It's a— say active manifestation. So the presence of God is not just something we experience when we attend church. We should get familiar with it in church. The presence of God should be at the church. Are y'all hearing this? The presence of God should manifest when we worship together, but every environment we go in, the presence should be there. You need presence at your house. Glory to God. If you're living with folk that ain't saved, it ought to be something about what you carry.
Are y'all hearing this?
Or folks that's sick, it'll be something about what you carry that fills the environment because you're in it.
Y'all here? Yeah, see.
We're his creation, and wherever we go, we have to understand we're glory carriers. We carry the glory of God.
Are y'all with me?
So everything that God does— watch this— is of a redemptive nature.
Hit it so the next bullet will come out there, Kelly.
So everything that God does toward man is redemptive. So he didn't just save us from sin.
Are y'all here?
He redeems us from poverty. He redeems us from sickness and disease. He redeems us, glory to God, from confusion and depression. Everything he does towards us is to buy us back into an Edenic experience. We can't get satisfied with just good church.
We gotta have presence and paradise everywhere we go.
Are y'all with me?
Y'all getting some out of this so far? I'm going somewhere. So again, we're talking about how to restructure your environment for glory and kingdom provision. Next slide, Kenley. Because outside the environment of God's covering presence, man cannot function properly. So outside of the environment of God covering you, man is out of order. That's why the world is so crazy and chaotic, because man tries to operate without God.
But we have to make sure that we're the believers are constantly creating an environment where man can function in order.
But we acting just like them, and we worried just like them. Are y'all hearing this?
Somebody was talking about the wars and stuff that's going on, and I saw it, prayed, and kept it moving.
Are y'all hearing this? You can't get caught up in everything because the media even will terrorize your mind.
Let me tell you something, the biggest terrorists on earth is CNN, ABC News, Fox News.
You go to watching it and get afraid and you start operating in fear, but that ain't God's plan for you.
You got to operate on the covering of his will.
So you got to stay in the environment of God.
Anytime stuff gets out of order, it's an indication that you have strayed away from the environment of God in some way. You start lacking everywhere, stuff start going crazy in your life.
You got to bring things back in alignment.
Are y'all here?
Watch it, because at the root of sin Y'all ready?
Is willful rebellion against God and his will. Put it up there, Kim, where they can see.
At the root of sin is a selfishness. It's a willful rebellion. So can I tell you something?
Most people that sin, they don't fall in sin. They choose to sin.
Are y'all hearing this?
Because they love the pleasure. They're lovers more of pleasure than they are of God. And it's willful rebellion. Watch this.
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. There are no candles, dust, bones, none of that involved here. It's you being selfish and using that as a pun, saying, God, I know what's right, but I'm gonna do what I want to do because—
and I know your will is for me to be doing something else. So many times we choose sin because it's comfortable. We choose sin because it's easy. So many times we choose sin because it's familiar.
It's gratifying.
There's no miserable sin. The old mother used to testify, God delivered me from a miserable life of sin. That's the biggest lie ever was told in church. Sin wasn't miserable. I'm just, I'm just saying it wasn't.
It—
that's why people keep doing it, because they enjoy it. It doesn't bring misery. It's going to take you to hell eventually, but it's not misery.
That's why people are addicted to it.
Are y'all hearing this?
So let's not willfully rebel by choosing ourselves over the will of God.
Are y'all here?
Put the next one on, Ken.
So God will do whatever he needs to do to restore us to himself. I love this. And see his glory revealed in us. So this is where we are. God wants his glory to be revealed in us through us walking out the mandate of dominion, being the people he created us to be. So guess what he does in order to do that? He trains us after we get saved under this second Adam, Jesus, on how to trust him by giving us things to do that will require his assistance. Let me tell you something, there are things God will give you to do that you cannot do on your own. If you can do it, I question really whether it's God. Are y'all hearing it? If you can meet the cost— oh God, it's probably you wanting to do it. But when is God— it's always going to exceed your ability to provide for it because he wants his glory to be revealed in that project, in that vision, in that dream. And he want to restore us to himself as source. That's what this is about. God's trying to show you, I'm your source. Y'all hearing this? You're not your own source, and God will rearrange your life in a way where you have no choice but to trust him. I mean, he'll cut off the DEI, he'll cut off the stamps, he'll cut off the employment. Everybody in the job will get laid off, and you won't have no choice. So you might as well obey him before it get that drastic.
Are y'all hearing it?
Okay, all right, so let's get into this. So if we're going to see the manifestation of the source—
I told you I was going to put Matthew 6 on the end. Go to the next slide, Kelly, and just go and put those up there. I want them to see them right there.
Put it—
go ahead, go ahead, right there.
Now in Matthew 6, we're going to start at verse 24.
We're going to see 3 problems that impede the manifestation of the source in our lives.
It's important to know this because I want you to hear this, hear this statement right here: God is always 100% invested in being your source. He wants to always give you what you need. When he doesn't, it's a problem. And I am venturing to say that it's one of these three problems as to why the source is not manifested. The problem of mastership— that means that you don't want to let go control of your ability to be the source. The problem— anxiety. You worrying about everything. You definitely can't see the hand of God moving. You are— oh my God, you are a perpetual worrier. You just worry and ain't got no reason to be worried and worried. And if you got peace, you go find something to be worried about. Are y'all hearing this? That's too much. And then thirdly, it's even a problem of priority. You have misappropriated God's place in your life. So let's look at this. Let's go to verse 24. Let's go, Kim. So the Bible says this. We're going to look at the problem of mastership first. No man can serve two masters. The word serve here is the word doulos in Greek, and it means no one can be a slave, bond slave, to two masters. Now, whether you believe it or not, you are somebody's slave. You have a master, whether it's God or the systems of the world. There's something you ascribe to. We ain't talking about white folk. Why? While they would like to still think they can master us— another message for another day— the reality is you cannot be a slave to two systems. You got to choose who gonna be your master. This is powerful because you got to choose a master whether you want to or not. And this is a problem because most people go to church, but they won't sell all the way out to mastership. Because you know, if you're a slave, you have— you do what the master says. Are y'all hearing this? You don't have a whole lot of choices on what you do when you are a bond slave.
Okay, all right.
Yeah, it's true. If slavery was a horrible thing, and God knows when I needed to be born because I would have died the first day I realized I was a slave. I'd have been trying to fight master, burn his house down.
I'd probably been cussing the master out. A lot of stuff been going on. Wouldn't been no Jesus, it's been me fighting. So God said, no, no, dude, you stay up here until this is over because I need you to live. Are y'all hearing me? But I didn't understand the concept of service because I've been serving God. And I understand the greatest moments of resource and source that have flowed in my life were when I was walking in the greatest moments of obedience. See, when you're bouncing back and forth between depending on yourself, depending on God, your source is going to always be— you know, if you take a water hose and put a knot in it and turn it on, that water gonna get to the knot and stop flowing. Many times our lack of surrender stops the flow. Why? He says you can't serve two masters because you're gonna either hate one or love the other. So two extremes. And when I was reading this, I'm like, God, those are two extremes— hate and love. So that means I can't just be a little bit over here with this master. No, no, no. He said you got to make a decision that you're gonna sell out to what God wants, because you can't, you know, put—
okay, I'm gonna do this with God, but then I'm gonna keep dipping over here because, you know, I ain't all the way ready. I'm gonna play the grace card for that. Yeah, that's, that's, that's what people do.
They, they play the grace card because they don't want to give it up. And you say, excuse me, I got grace, or God knows my heart. But if you really want to see the source, you got to come all the way on the side of God being your master and say, Lord, for you I live, for you I die. That's what a real slave says. Master, for you I live, for you I die. And that's a level of maturity that we have to reach. Because I know a lot of times we say, man, I'll die for the Lord. But really, would you? I mean, just like, would you?
I mean, honestly, if, if God said to you, okay, you my, you my servant, and I'm gonna send you over there where they fighting in Israel now, and I just want you to stand in the middle of the war and start preaching, I'm gonna protect you. Would you go?
I mean, are you sold out to that end? Let me bring you home. If God told you to go to Mechanicsville where they slanging dope on the corner still, would you go to Mechanicsville and, and start witnessing the people?
Mechanicsville is an area in Atlanta downtown. It's pretty bad. They tried to regenerate it, but it's bad.
Gentrification didn't work in Mechanicsville. They tried to shift the homes, move the Black folks. Them niggas said, we ain't going nowhere. Y'all build what you want, we gonna be right here. So I'm just telling you, but if God said go Where you— they call it Little Vietnam, where gunshots all the time going on. Yeah, but if God sends you to Little Vietnam and said be a witness, are you a servant enough to go? Because you got to realize, if he's your source of life and you got purpose, you're going to still live anyway. Are y'all hearing this? I thought about it like this, and this gave me a new perspective on where I go and where I won't go. I'm sold out.
I'll go wherever God tells me to go.
But about 10 years ago, I thought about what would happen if Michael Jr.
was in a crack house and I had to go in there and get him.
Would you go? Yeah, I'm going to turn my hat back, pull my pants off, down off my butt and walk in there like I'm blending in and pull him out. Are y'all hearing this? And if I'll do that for my own, there should be no limit to what I'll do when God asks.
Are y'all with me?
So you gotta decide where you at. You on the hate side or the love side? I mean, do you really love him or no? To do what he says. What's this? He said you'll hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Mammon is not just money. Mammon is the world system. So you can't be sold out to the world system and God at the same time. Even if you got to keep working right now, a person of God, of the kingdom, is saying, you know what, I can't wait to to get out of here so I can fulfill my purpose. I'm— you're planning, you're structuring, you're making moves so you can be in place in the kingdom of God. But some people happily just get up and march to that job every day because they serving mamam. They don't even think about the fact that God's got more. Man, listen, I thought about—
the Holy Spirit brought this to me. He said, you have not reached wealth if you got to keep doing what you doing to make money.
And I stepped back from that thing, even though I enjoy what I do in business. I should be free to just do this. Are y'all hearing me? But I gotta take care of my family. I gotta build legacy. I gotta help contribute to this. And God said to me— I'm just trying to use— I'm throwing me out there. He said, son, I ain't never asked you to help me. And he said, matter of fact, I don't need your help. He said, what I need is your obedience.
Are y'all hearing this?
I said, okay God, so I understand now. I gotta— because sometimes I can get engulfed in the process of creating wealth, and, and I'll be the driver behind what I'm doing in God.
Are y'all hearing this?
It's not the way he planned to. He wants to be the total source.
Not saying we ain't supposed to work. We supposed to be working on kingdom stuff though. Are y'all hearing this? So now I'm very picky about assignments I do, clients I take, because they need to align with where I'm going. And if you look like you're wasting my time, I'm going the other way. Are y'all hearing this?
All right, let's go to verse 25, next one. So we're going to read verses 25 through 32. Now, now we're about to see the problem and anxiety.
Say, the problem of mastership. Say, God is my master, I serve him and him alone.
Y'all here?
Mario, is that camera recording? I don't see a red light.
Watch this. The Bible says, watch this: Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what you shall drink, nor yet for your body what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat and the body than raiment? So he says, first of all, here, I don't want you worrying about what you're gonna eat, what you're gonna drink, what you gonna wear— your basic needs. Then he has a question: isn't your life more than what you eat and put on? But isn't it amazing how we concentrate more on what we eat and put on than anything else. We put so much stock in— watch this— we could be sitting up in church and can't hardly get in the service because we worried about what we're gonna eat when we get out of service.
Are y'all hearing this?
Okay. Just, just look straight ahead like I'm not talking to you. You already at the restaurant. Are y'all hearing me? But you should be engaged in what God is doing and saying. Amen. People spend more money, especially us on clothes than anything else.
Are y'all hearing this?
We're consumers and not producers.
Okay, all right.
So, but the Bible says your God has got you in this regard, so you don't have to worry about that.
Are y'all hearing me?
Verse 26.
Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are you not much better than they? So you ain't— you better than birds, right? If the Father is a source for birds, watch this, they are not worried in any way. About what they're gonna eat. Guess what? They eat every day. Amanda, come sit down, please.
I've been working for 10 minutes trying not to tell you to sit down on camera live because your movement has no purpose.
Thank you.
Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life what you gonna eat. So you shouldn't worry about what's gonna come across your table, how you're gonna get fed. These birds— go to the next slide, Kenley— they're not concerned about what is going in their body and how they gonna live. So he's telling you, look at the birds and compare yourself to them. If I take care of them, you're better than them. What more would he do for you?
God have mercy.
They don't plant no seed. They ain't got no farming skills. Y'all hear me? They don't go to Kroger. Walmart, Sam's, they don't— none of that. God is their source.
Next slide, verse 27 through 29.
Say, which of you, by taking thought, by having anxiety, by worrying about it, can add one cubit to his stature?
Are y'all with me?
So you can sit there and worry about it, but you ain't doing nothing but hurting yourself. You ain't adding none to you. And I just think some folk just feel better when they worried about it. I mean, if you serving Buddha, you got reason to worry. Are y'all hearing this? But if you serving the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords If you're serving a God that's more than enough, El Shaddai, what you worried about? God's got you. Because the word worry has never provided anything for anybody. So if you're going to be a person of dominion, you can't have an anxiety attack every time there's a need. Come on, because a person of dominion is always going to be faced with things that's bigger than them.
I mean, let me just give you a, a picture of my vantage point right now.
I got a contract— this church has a contract on a $1 million building around the corner. We got 33 acres we're purchasing around the corner. We gotta build a city that's probably gonna be about $300 million when we get through. You think I'm worried? I ain't worried in one— no way, because he got it.
Are y'all hearing this?
He said, 'Cause now he said, if the birds weren't enough, consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They toil not, they don't have a job. Like Pastor Jeffrey and Tommy. They don't— he ain't got no job. He can look like that all he want, he ain't got none. But God's taking care of him. Are y'all hearing this? He, he's working on his life every day. I pray he's working on kingdom things. Are y'all hearing this? I I, I, I know he knows he's got to take care of his family, so he's trusting God. They toil not, neither do they spin, which means they ain't throwing tantrums. They're not falling on the floor kicking because of what they don't have.
Are y'all hearing this?
He's saying, yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like these lilies.
And Solomon was rich.
Wow. So a lot of time the source is blocked because we worry too much. Go to verse 30.
What for?
If God so clothed the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Here we go. So here's, here's, here becomes the issue. When we're worrying, we're actually doubting. I told you Sunday, God's greatest pleasure is to be trusted.
His greatest tragedy is to be doubted. You got to get your faith up. Matter of fact, touch yourself. Say, I got to turn my faith up.
When you do that, you won't worry saying, what I'm gonna eat? How this vision gonna come to pass? Who's gonna fund this dream? Who's gonna invest in what you call me to do? You don't ask them kind of questions. He said, for all these things Gentiles see. Now I want you to remember that word seek. Gentiles seek answers to questions that kingdom people should already know the answer to based on their faith. People who are not in God are asking questions. Who gonna pay these bills? Who gonna help us build these buildings? Who's gonna help us close on this church? That's Gentile thinking. When you know God, remember, when your environment is cultivated by the source, you are clear. That's why you got to seek him. That's why I talked about all that in the beginning. You got to seek him because he knows all these things. He already know you need them. Now I ain't gonna lie, sometimes I'd be like, God, you know why you just don't go on and send it?
Right?
But God is building faith when he's not sending it the way you want it to come.
Are y'all hearing this? Don't mean he don't know you need it. He's just building your faith muscles because where you're going is going to require more than little faith. It's going to require much faith. All right, last verse.
I told y'all, I went along almost through.
33. But seek ye first. So instead of seeking the system of the world, seeking the government's plan for your life, he says seek first. Say first. So the word seek is zeto.
Z-E-T-O is pronounced in Greek zetaio, and it means to pursue hard after.
With uninterrupted focus. So zito means to not allow your focus to be broken on God's ability, to lock in and say, I'm going after God's heart. Watch this, not his hand. Seeking says I'm coming after the heart and not his hand. See, God never saved us to come after his hand. He wants us to come after his heart, and his hand will open. Are y'all hearing this? He says, seek first, which is proton in Greek, which means give superlative priority to, put it above everything else, put it at the top of the list. He says, seek first the kingdom of God.
Kingdom is basilia, which is the dominion or domain of the king.
So he says, seek first your kingdom, dominion, purpose, how God desires to rule through you. Let that be first.
Are y'all hearing this?
Not what brings us pleasure. Not what's familiar, not what's comfortable. Let's put kingdom business first. Your purpose should be priority.
Are y'all with me?
When we start making everything else priority, other people priority, listen, you will mess up and dry up your source. Because you're disconnected. Because the release is in the seek, it's in the zito. Notice, notice the structure of this text. Seek first the kingdom of God, the dominion of the King, the King's domain purpose in your life. Watch this: and his righteousness.
That word righteousness means It's diasune in Greek, and it means accuracy.
Seek what's rightfully aligned for you.
Just cause one thing is right for somebody else doesn't mean it's right for you.
Matter of fact, everybody under the sound of my voice, in here or out there, there's a right for your life. Glory, Jesus. There's a right for you that's not right for me. There's an authenticity on your life that's not on my life, and there's one on my life that's not on yours. But we gotta settle with what God has deemed to be right. Y'all hearing this? That word has nothing to do with legalism and rules. You ought to live right if you love God anyway. This has something to do with the accuracy of purpose and assignment. Everybody has a clear, authentic reason for breathing. He said, if you seek kingdom and right, not what you want— y'all hearing this? Because most people pursue what they desire, because the proof of desire is pursuit. So if you really fall in love with the kingdom, you're going to pursue him first. You're going to pursue what's right first. He said, if you do this, you ain't even got to ask me for things.
Are y'all hearing this?
This is the problem of priority, the last one we talked about.
So problem, messiah, problem, anxiety. Third problem of priority: what are we seeking first? You know, I mean, honestly, I mean, I want you to really think about this tonight.
When it comes down to your life, are you really putting God above all, or you got mixture in there with your flesh and your carnality?
I mean, let me just do something like this. You go to the doctor, doctor say, okay, you got high blood pressure. All right, whose report you gonna believe?
All facts ain't truth. It may be a fact your blood pressure is high, but the truth is with his stripes you're healed.
So I mean, who's the master? The doctor that's still practicing medicine, or God who heals all?
I mean, I'm just saying, just little simple things like that. Are you prioritizing him first?
He said when you do this, all things when he's a priority, the source is always flowing.
So when the source is not flowing—
and this goes for me and anybody else— when there is lack somewhere in our life, it's because we have fallen out of alignment with the source. He said, if you just seek my kingdom first and righteousness, I'll slip you a million dollars. I'll just slip you— it'll be added to you.
You ain't even got to ask for it.
I'll slip you a husband. I'll slip you a wife. I'll slip you a house. I'll slip you land. I'll slip you buildings.
I'll slip you what you need to perform this kingdom purpose. When last time something just got slipped to you? I'm, I'm for real. And if you can't identify that, you need to check what you've been seeking. I'm just trying to help you, because I wake up every day and something got slipped to me because I'm constantly trying to pursue what he wants. Even when I think what I might be thinking is right, I'm still going after him, making sure it's right. Are y'all hearing this?
Because I want him to keep slipping me stuff. He'll slip you the deed to your house, the title to your car.
Are y'all hearing me? You just— but you just got to make him first.
He said we added, calculated. Like a counter— calculated into your pursuit. That's the life of the source. When you're connected to him, he's really the source for real. We can't have dominion without him.
Are y'all here?
I'm done. Everybody stand.
I'mma Glory to God.
Glory to God. When you stand, just close your eyes a moment and lift your hands. I pray y'all got something out of this teaching.
Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord.
Now with your hands lifted, your eyes closed, I ask you to close your eyes because when you close your eyes, you have a tendency to look in. And I don't want you to think about anyone else, and I want you to weigh the things that you've heard tonight. Some of the things you probably have heard before from the scriptures, but weigh them in respect to the source. What have you been seeking? What have you been worried about? Who's really your master? I know you say Jesus is, and I know you mean that with good heart, but is your all on the altar of sacrifice? Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Have you given everything to him? Father, I give you praise. I thank you for your people tonight. I thank you for your anointing that destroys yokes and removes burdens. Father, we cast the devil out of the mind and we break down every stubborn will tonight. It's our will to please you. Father, I rebuke the problem of mastership, whether it's in this room or online. God, I decree and declare that this people in this body, in this church, would be completely sold out to you, to your will, your way, your plans, your desires for their life. And I give you glory, honor for it now. God, we cannot serve two masters, so tonight we choose you totally, God.
We surrender all, we surrender all, we lay it all down again.
Draw us close to you like never before and be our master, be our source, God.
For mastership also deals with a source or one that brings provision. And you are loving master, and all you want is a yielded heart, God. And the great thing about this, you've given us the opportunity to choose you as master.
Many times we'll choose you as Lord and Savior and we'll allow you to save us from sin, but we won't surrender everything to Master Shu. Some of you are waiting on a bolt of lightning to move something and make you surrender every area— your doubts, your fears, your habits you need to give up. But God says you have to make a choice.
So Father, in the name of Jesus, we choose mastership. Secondly, God, we rebuke the problem of anxiety. We fret not ourselves because of evildoers, but we trust in you, God, and you alone. And so Father, tonight, in the name of Jesus, as we lean and depend upon you, we bind the worrying spirit. The spirit of disease that causes disease. And in the name of Jesus, we declare we'll be at peace in our mind, peace in our body, peace in our spirit. We bind mental battles that will cause us to be concerned about things that you have the ability to source. Father, in Jesus' name, We rebuke the problem of priority. May we seek you first. May we zito, pursue hard after you, over systems of the world, systems of the earth, man's way of thinking and doing things, comfortable things, familiar things. May we trust you, God. And we seek your kingdom, your domain in our life, the king's rule, the king's authority. May we seek your righteousness, your accuracy in our life, and may we do what you've called us to do. God, bring us into practical holiness and responsible kingdom living, and we give you praise and glory for that now.
In the mighty name of Jesus.
Listen, if you receive what we've spoken tonight, just open your mouth and just begin to give God thanks in this room. Come on, just a few moments. Open your mouth and give him thanks. Come on, just open your mouth and give him thanks. Come on, thanks to the Master. Thanks to the Master. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. We surrender to you, God. Hallelujah. We put our trust in you. We will not walk in little faith. We will not walk in the spirit of anxiety and fear.
But God will prioritize your will and will do what you have created us to do, in Jesus' name. Hallelujah! Clap your hands one more time. Hallelujah! We give you glory, we honor your name, we honor your name, we lift up our hands, Lord, honor your name. We honor your name.
We honor your name.
We lift up our hands, Lord, and honor your name.
We honor your name. Yes, God, we honor your name.
We lift up our hands, Lord, and honor your name.
We honor your name. We honor your name.
We lift up our hands, Lord, and honor your name. Hallelujah! Glory to God! Thank God for his word. We're gonna get out of here. Listen, if you desire to give tonight, no pressure. Just get your seed in the ground. Those of you that on the line, get your seed in the ground. Our Cash App is Rodder Church, or you can go to rodderchurch.com/donate and get your seed in the ground tonight. Glory to the name of God. We're going home. Y'all stand. Thank y'all for coming out tonight. Yes, I will, I will.
I will, I will.
I'll pray. Yes. Glory to God. Everybody stand, we're going.
Hallelujah.
So glad to see you back in the house, Nicole. Amen. We're praying for you. Glory to God. Listen, I want to challenge everybody, make sure you're in this building on Sunday. Do me a kind favor, invite someone to church with with you. Glory to God. If you're being blessed, the Bible said we are blessed to be a blessing. We'll be back here on Sunday morning at 10 AM, so make sure you're in the house. Amen. All right, so Father, we give you praise. We thank you for tonight. We thank you for your anointing that destroys yokes and removes burdens. Father, we thank you that healing and deliverance is the children's bread.
And so, Father, I release the healing anointing of God in this place.
I thank you that every person that is sick under the sound of my voice, that you will touch them now and they'll be healed. I pray specifically for Key as she is on her way to the hospital, to the VA.
I decree and declare that from the crown of her head to the sole of her feet, you will be Jehovah Rapha. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our healer. I release angels at my charge to hearken to the voice of that word and bring healing to her body. God, make her whole right now. God, touch her with your fire. Touch her with your power. And God, even as you touch her, God, may she know that it is your hand that has healed her. And may she yield her heart and mind to serve you like never before, God. And we give you praise and glory for it. We rebuke death, we rebuke, oh God, every sense of shutting down of the organs. We rebuke stroke in the name of Jesus. We rebuke kidney issues, we rebuke every disease in our body, and we plead the blood, and we thank you for healing now in the mighty name of Jesus. So be it.
And it is so, in Jesus' name.
God bless those that came out tonight and those that joined us online. God, I pray a special blessing upon them. God, let dominion and favor open up in their lives. And God, may there be a seeking in their spirit like never before, in Jesus' name. We give you praise. We give you glory, we give you honor, and we say it is done.
Amen and amen.
Clap your hands and praise God for victory.
