Virtual Worship _ Radah Church _ 8_16_2020 _ NO MORE FEAR _ DR MIKE WOODS

In this virtual worship service recorded on August 16, 2020, Apostle/Dr. Michael Lyris Woods delivers a fiery sermon titled “No More Fear.” He opens by urging the congregation to rise from the pandemic, reject the Babylonian system, and reclaim the church’s authority. Using 2 Timothy 1:5‑7 as his primary text, Woods defines three Greek concepts of fear—dehilia (cowardice from fright), phobos (phobia), and the spirit of fear that the Father did not give believers. He contrasts this with the gifts God gave: power (exousia), love (agape), and a sound mind (sophronismos). Throughout the message he emphasizes that believers must walk by faith, not by media‑driven panic, and that true authority comes from the Holy Spirit, not human institutions. Woods shares a personal testimony of contracting COVID‑19, remaining asymptomatic, and being healed through the “blood of Jesus,” presenting it as a divine vaccine. He critiques other megachurch leaders for prioritizing money and online worship over authentic power, calling them arrogant and spiritually powerless. The sermon includes practical instructions: wear masks, follow CDC guidelines, and practice “careful fear” for safety, while also urging believers to reject “satanic fear.” Woods announces an upcoming “Emergence” event (Sept 11‑13) with multiple services, a round‑table of apostles, and a call for tithes and offerings to finish sanctuary remodeling. He closes with a prayer for the listeners, an invitation to accept Christ, and a final exhortation to live without fear, empowered by God’s gifts.

Well, praise the Lord and welcome to the Apostle's Table. I'm so glad you're here today. And listen, I got something I need to share, so I want you guys to take a moment really quick at the front of this, and I want you to share this. You guys come on in, uh, it's going to be an awesome time, uh, with you today. I want you guys to come in with your ears open and your heart ready to receive what thus saith the Lord. Listen, we're in a serious time, y'all, and, um, I'm telling you, the church really has to take its position. I, I think, uh, for long enough, all right, we have taken this stuff in stride that's happening. You know, we've been cooperative with the systems, and I think those things are important But I need you to hear me. There's a place in this now where the church has to emerge. The church has to rise again. It has to bounce back better than it has been, and it has to be very, very effective in the world today.
The world needs us.
The world needs the miraculous working power of God that we preach and that we teach about. And that so many times many of us have seen displayed in our church. But God never called us to conform to the Babylonian system, the world's way of doing things. We have to take our instructions from the Father. We have to take our instructions from heaven. And at the end of the day, I just believe this has been another ploy Ladies and gentlemen, to try to control the church of Satan and control how the people of God move. The scripture says, as many as are led by the Spirit of God, the scripture declares, he is the Son of God. So it doesn't matter really how many tongues you speak here, how much you attend church, how much Bible you read. How many scriptures you know? If indeed you're not being led of the Father, you cannot validate yourself as a son of the Father. And when I say son, there's no gender there. We're all the family of God. The word son in Greek is sperma, which, which takes on the idea of all representatives of God's family. In which we are the progenitors of the future of God's family. We are his seed in the earth. And again, we take our shots from him and we should be led by him. And listen, if you're not being led of God through this pandemic, I'm just gonna say to you right now, you're not worthy to be called a son of God. You may be a religious Christian who go through the motions of church, who learn scripture, who's been to Sunday school, but really, to be a son, to be a part of the family, means that we are led of God. So here's what I need you to do right now. I got a word I need to share with you. Glory to God. Today, right here at the Apostle's Table, I've been on a little hiatus. I hadn't been recording a lot because because I've been trying to make sure I'm hearing from God. Now, I don't wanna be like everybody else and just be out here saying something and God's not talking to me. I think every preacher, again, needs to be led of God, even in what you say. And in these crucial times, our voice is necessary not to impress people, it's necessary to offer wisdom from heaven on how to get through these times. That's why the Lord had me teach. I taught 10 whole lessons, and people inbox me saying, Apostle, you ain't been on, we've been looking for your messages. My God, go back and listen to the last 10 messages I preached on the God of Plenty and live them, and stop complaining about you not getting an extra $600 a week on your unemployment check. Come on, church. We gotta be the church and not just look like the church. So please share this. As y'all coming in, do me a favor, do two things for me right here on this live today. I need you to number one, say hello, let everybody know you're here, speak to the room. It's just nice to be nice. And then secondly, if these lives bless you, what makes you think they won't bless your friends? Glory to God. The Bible said we're blessed to be a blessing. So if they're blessing you and you're being blessed and your motive for being here is right, then I need you to share the broadcast. All right, so today, um, my God, I, I want to talk about no more fear. All right. See, people, you know, they make a lot of excuses. Oh, we're not afraid. We're not afraid. We're really not afraid. But everything in your actions say you're afraid. Okay. And I'm not talking about wearing a mask. You need to wear a mask if you go in public. Don't help the devil kill you. I'm not saying that. What I am saying is, once again, we need to take our signals from the Father. So Father, in Jesus' name, as I prepare to share your word today, I pray that every person listening will open their heart to receive. And I decree and declare, Lord, that we will experience the light, the illumination, and the intelligence of the Holy Ghost. And no person listening to me will leave the way they came. The weak will leave saying, I'm strong. Yes, Lord. The poor will leave saying, I'm rich. The discouraged will leave encouraged. The doubter will leave with faith. The fearful will leave believing. And we give you praise and glory now. Thank you for what you're getting ready to do, God. In Jesus' name, amen and thank God. Don't you dare scroll. Don't you dare get distracted. What I'm getting ready— what I am getting ready to share you need to hear. If so happen you stopped on this page, this YouTube page, this Facebook page, and you started watching this, I'm telling you right now, it is God's intent that you continue to watch because there is something you need to hear. There's something, my friends, you need to know. and it is this: God has not called you to live in fear. If indeed you are a believer, you have not been called to live in fear. I want to go to 2 Timothy, the first chapter. All right, now I'm going to begin reading at verse number 5. I'm gonna read 5, 6, and 7. All right, I may read 8. Okay, but I'm definitely going to unpack today, and I want you to stay with me. 2 Timothy chapter 1, verses 5, 6, and 7. Glory to God. So stay with me. Don't you leave, don't you scroll. You need to hear this. God is gonna work on you right now, and I declare that by the time this live stream is over, by the time you're done listening to this podcast, I'm telling you right now, your life is going to change and you're going to move forward in victory. God did not allow this disruption of the pandemic to cause you to live in fear. That's not his M.O. His blood works for real. We preach it, we teach it. How about we live what we've been preaching and teaching, preachers? And let's stop moving in fear. Let's train the people that follow us not to move in fear, not to live their lives governed by CNN but by the word of God. Let's go to— again, 2 Timothy chapter 1, verses 5, 6, and 7. Here beginneth the reading of the word. The Bible says this, it says, I am reminding you of your sincere faith which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded now lives in you also. All right, okay, here we go. Verse 6: For this reason I remind you— here's another reminder. So first he reminds him of his heritage. Secondly, he reminds him right here of his gift.
He said, I remind you—
hear this— to fan the flame, the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit of God gave us not to be fearful or timid, but gives us power, love, and a sound or self-disciplined mind. I'm gonna just read verse 8. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me, his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God. Verse 7 said, for the God has not given us— the King James read— the spirit of fear, but he gave us power, he gave us love, and he gave us a sound mind. I want to talk to you a few moments. Don't you scroll. Don't you scroll. No more fear. It's— it's— we've been here long enough, y'all. Okay, so as the church, once again, we must take our place and we must begin to forge forward. Iske debaya. Bri likisku rabanda sikiaia. Oh, tibasa breketabakuska. And we must begin to live what we've been preaching about the power of God. We cannot be afraid of coronavirus. We cannot be afraid, glory to God, of a World War III. We cannot be afraid of cancer. We cannot be afraid of heart disease. We cannot be afraid to take a stand and be the people that God called us to be. So let me just be systematic here. So let's get a working definition first of fear. Fear in the text— God has not given us the spirit of fear. The word fear is from a Greek word, dehilia. Dehilia means a cowardice from fright, which means you got frightened and then you became a coward. You lost your courage, you lost your faith, you lost your drive. Come on, preacher, with your loud self. Come on, preacher, with your dancing, tongue-talking self. Glory to God. Come on, preacher man, preacher woman. Glory to God. With your glory walking self. Glory to God. Where is your courage in the middle of a pandemic? Where is your boldness and your power? Many people have been gripped by dehilia. Yes, yeah, a cowardice from fright. Are y'all hearing me?
Watch this.
Now, that's the word in this text, but there are some other Greek words. Uh, there's another one called phobos. It's where we get words like phobia. Phobos, uh, deals with the condition of fear. It means now you— glory to God— you, you're cowardice from fright. And your cowardness and your lack of courage and faith and boldness in the things of God have caused you to shift in a state of phobia or phobos, where now everything in your life, you're governing it around fear. Oh my God, because your ears are glued to CNN and their reports. Oh, y'all not gonna like this because some of y'all like being lazy, you like staying home. You don't want to go to the church because you don't want to be accountable to leadership. You want to do what you want to do, and that's okay because God sees you. And, and just— and I, I know I get my church at home. I'm watching my preacher on YouTube, on Facebook. Listen, you're in direct violation. We all have been in direct violation of Hebrews 10:25, which says, forsake not— that's a command yourselves to assemble together as the manner of some is. What happened, my God, to I was glad when they said unto me, Asha, brikata baboko shiba, let us go into the house of the Lord? What happened to rejoicing when Sunday came? What happened, glory to the name of God, to understanding that the Lord's house was the place where he dwelled and that something different happened when we came together corporately. What happened to us? What's the matter, Zion? We got to get this together. Y'all excuse me, but I'm full of the Holy Ghost right now, and we got to break this condition of fear. And God told me to tell you, no more fear, no more. I command you to be loose from the spirit of fear now. In the name of Jesus, and I plead the blood of Jesus over your life, over your body, over your children. Omanséké tababaku. And I decree and declare that your body is a COVID-19-free zone.
Glory to God.
We're sitting around trying to wait for them to figure it out and come up with a vaccine. Glory to the name of God. I'm telling you right now, there is already a vaccine. It's the blood of Jesus Christ. Somebody said, Michael Williams, how do you know? Well, glory to God, because when this thing hit, I immediately said, I'm not going to be afraid. I'm going to keep living my life. I'm not going to— glory to the name of God— ever believe, glory to God, that this thing could attack me. And while I was doing that, I was staying home like they was telling everybody to do. I stayed at home. And at the end of the day, on May 11th, I took a test and the test came back positive. I said, now God, what's going on? I choose right then though that I wasn't going to be fearful, and I chose then that I was going to live. Now watch this. I'd had no symptom. I never had a fever. The blood of Jesus. I did what the doctor said. I quarantined for 14 days. Took 2 tests after the 14 days. Both were negative, the antibody and the swab test. I'm living proof that even if it gets in you— God says, I want you to be a testimony, son. That's why I let you get it, so you can be a testimony that even if it does happen to get on you— what happened to the scripture that said if you drink anything deadly thing It will not harm you. Come on, Bible toter. Come on, Bible believer. Been in church all your life, believe the word of God, but come on now, the rubber has hit the road. Can you believe now? Where are you? What happened, church? Come on, what happened? What happened? You got fearful. That's what happened. You bought into a lie. That's what happened. You chose to believe a lie over the truth. Watch this. All facts are not truth. Ha! It was a fact that coronavirus was in my body because the test said it was. Oh, glory to God. But the truth was With his stripes, I was healed. So even though it showed up, it couldn't live in my body because the healing virtue of God, the blood of Jesus, the vaccine was already on board. You ain't never seen Jesus, but many of you that saved, you believe he saved you. You believe he died on the cross. You weren't there. You believe it because somebody preached it. You believe he got up from the grave with all power in his hand. And you believe that when you die, because you got your business straight with God, you're going to heaven. And let me tell you something, that's the absolute truth. But just like he died for your sin, he also died for your sickness. Salvation in Greek, soteria, means rescue. Oh my God, from the penalty of the law. So soteria means I've been rescued for every bad thing, every cursed thing under the law. Sickness is a cursed thing. The coronavirus is a cursed thing. Listen, let me tell you something. You better get yourself together because this thing will have you stuck and you will end up not living your life waiting on the world system and you'll end up in disobedience to God because you listening to CNN and you're not listening to Jesus. Come on now, what do you really believe? 'Cause when we bounce back and we back and we better than ever, we must emerge better. So you got dahilia, I was working definition, cowardice from fright, and you got phobos, the condition of fear, which means you graduated to living in fear. And the scripture said we walk by faith and not by sight. Perfect love casts out fear. Oh my God. So if I'm living under the perfect love of God, glory to God, the perfect agape love Did it cast out my fear of a virus that could kill me if I live in fear? But if I live in faith, oh, shabaya, brishkatadabakashkirilebekushkirabaya, he'll keep me alive. If I confess daily out of my mouth, I'm healing, which I do, glory to God. With his stripes, I am healed. Sickness cannot dwell in my body. Pain cannot come against my body. He sent his word. Y'all not ready today. And it healed them because you want to live in fear. Many of you, your spirit is rejecting me right now. Many of you are tempted to scroll because you want to live in fear. You want to be lazy. You want to be lackadaisical. You want to lay back. Glory to God. And get freebies. You don't want to be accountable. Glory to God. You don't want the blessing that comes from corporate worship. You know the blessing that comes from going to work every day. You want to sit around and be a lazy bum? Glory to the name of God. And let somebody feed you something? Or you want to be on welfare when you should be on God fare? Okay, I'm out here now, so you ain't even got to like me, you ain't even got to like this, but I'm trying with everything in me to help you. God said no more fear, man. The church— I'm talking to believers— the church has to take a stand and be the church. Kingdom people need to take a stand and be kingdom people. There are people who not only fear coronavirus Their mode of action was fear anyway. There are people who fear getting old. They figure if I keep getting older, I'mma die. I know somebody that every single year, and she will say if she heard me saying this, that, well, I'm not afraid of getting old, but I just don't want to admit I'm getting old. So every year She— this person despises anybody saying how old she is at birthday celebrations. She don't want nobody to mention it. I mean, it's almost an insult and offensive to this person to be reminded of how old they are, when in reality you ought to be celebrating that you have an opportunity to progress in life and that God is keeping you alive. Glory to the name of God. And that he's keeping you young on the inside, and that that's a testimony in itself that you could reach your mid-60s. Glory to God. And you should be able to celebrate that. Glory. And you shouldn't be afraid of getting older. Hallelujah. And you should walk in faith that God will keep you in all of your years. David said, I was once was young, but now I'm old. I never seen the righteous forsaken. So there are people out there, they're afraid to get older. Celebrate your life that God has given you. There are people that fear going broke, so they're so selfish and stingy, they don't never give nothing to nobody, won't never help anyone. They so tight you could put a charcoal inside of them and it will turn into a diamond. Oh my God, I'm out here now. But they're afraid of going broke, so they never do anything liberal. Oh my God, that's fear! And they've already been walking in that anyway. Some people fear because their mama had cancer or somebody else in their family died of cancer, that they gonna get it. I'm gonna get sick and die. But you go to church every week, you hear the word preached every week. Where's your faith? Let's look at Luke real quick. I'm gonna go back to Timothy. Let's look at Luke. Hallelujah. Luke, the physician. Let's look at Luke. I gotta go, I gotta go, I'm being too long. I'm trying to help you. Somebody say no more fear. Fear will mess you up, man. Glory to God. Luke. Where am I going? We're going to Luke 21. Hallelujah to God. Luke 21. Matthew, Mark, Luke. You know, you get so used to turning stuff on electronically, trying to get back used to turning the pages in my Bible just feels wonderful. Glory to God. Luke 21. Somebody said, well, if you was using that iPad in front of you, you'd already be there. I know, I just want to turn to it for, for old time's sake. Luke 21:26 says this, watch this, it says, oh my God, people will faint from terror. Apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies— oh my God— will be shaken. The King James says men's heart would be failing them for fear. And that's not the heart that's 6 inches below the collarbone. The heart, the— glory to the name of God— gospel writer Luke is talking about is the kardia in Greek, is the center of man's morality. It is the center of his passions, his will, his mind, his emotions. The heart, the kardia, is also the senses. It is how we taste, it is how we touch. Glory to God. It's how we hear, is how we see. It's how we smell. We smell from the soul. Smell in and of itself is an invisible act. You can't see it. It's an act of the will. It's an act of the soul. Sound, you cannot hear, you cannot see. You can hear it, but you cannot see it with the natural eye. So sight in itself, it is done, the process is done through, hallelujah, oncology, or your ocular, not oncology, your ocular makeup in your eyes. Glory to the name of God. But sight itself, the process, is invisible. So the Bible says our heart will fail, our ability to be sensitive to God, our ability to hear God, our— oh my God— our ability to touch God tangibly. Oh, our ability to speak about God, our ability to see God. He says our will toward God, our mind toward God will fail us for fear because we're apprehensive about what's happening in the world. Listen, don't you let this world get you so messed up that you start breaking down on the inside and it disconnects you from the tenets of the Father. It's a man's heart will be apprehensive, failing for terror from fright, cowardice from fright. You know, the coronavirus is like a terrorist. It's got people so afraid and they don't know what's going on in their lives. Oh my God. The Bible declares in 2 Timothy, let's go back there. One, and I'm almost done. Say, no more fear. Say, I'm not afraid of coronavirus. Say, I'm ready to take my stand in faith. You know, faith and fear are inept to each other. I mean, they can't even stand in the same room together. They're inept to each other. You can't have faith and fear at the same time. It's impossible. And listen, there are different types of fear. So let me just help you right here before I get into the text. One, there is something called a reverential fear. Reverential fear is where we find in the scripture when it says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. We fear God through reverence to him. We, we, we should fear his authority. We should, which means that a reverential fear is a respectful fear. I watch how I move, I watch how I act because God is around. I reverence his presence. That's why I don't understand how people could do all they crap in the church and sin in the house of God, the house of the Lord. Is a holy place, man. How is it you can go in the house of God and have sexual intercourse or do homosexual acts? That's ridiculous. Or cuss in God's house. You have no sense of the fact that that's where he lives. Or maybe you have not produced a culture in the house where he actually is there. So maybe that's why you, you can do that. Glory to God. But there's such thing as a reverential fear, but that's not what we're, we're discussing. There's also a careful fear, all right, which means, you know, if something is dangerous, you take precaution based on the danger. What am I saying? If I'm in the car with you, and though I have faith in God You decide to be an idiot and start driving 140 miles an hour, but with your eyes closed. Well, careful fear for me is not to sit there and say, well, I believe God. No, I have to make a decision at this point to remove myself from the vehicle. And ask you to stop the car, or put my foot over there and stop the car myself and get out. Because at the end of the day, that's a careful fear. I'm protecting myself. Now, here we go. A careful fear when it comes to this coronavirus, there's some people that just will not do right. So when it calls for social distancing, if that's what the scientists are telling you, when it calls for wearing a mask, Then you take a careful fear and you do that. We're going back to church September 11th. It's gonna be our first day back in the church, September 11th, 12th, 13th. We're having an amazing conference, got some amazing preachers coming. It's gonna be phenomenal, but we're gonna honor the CDC's guidelines. We're gonna be wise in our doing so that everybody is safe. But guess what? We believe that God is there, that nobody will contract coronavirus in our services. We believe that the healing virtue of God is going to flow. And but as an example to the world, we're going to honor a higher power because the Bible told us to do that. Hallelujah. But we're not going to stop having church another day after that. Because we're sitting around thinking we don't need to assemble. That's a lie from the pit of hell. We gotta figure out a way— big church, little church, medium church— you need to figure out a way. Why y'all building big old buildings and you ain't got enough sense to go in there and figure out how to social distance people and control the people? But you know what I heard? I heard it from the horse's mouth. I'm watching these guys, all of them got large churches, they All of them claim to have megachurches. Most of them on there really don't, and they lie about their numbers. But they were saying, glory to the name of God, that— yeah, I'm in rare form today, I promise you. The apostolic is flowing really strong these days, so you don't want to mess with this if you're not ready. Listen, let me tell you something. These guys were saying it out of their own mouth, their money is better doing it online. Their attendance through popularity is better doing it online. And to me, that is the most sacrilegious, selfish, fleshly thing I've ever seen. I heard one of them idiots who always throws around that he's a doctor and always likes to even wrote a book about a megachurch, always likes to talk about how, you know, his doctorate degree and how many people he has in his church. He's very arrogant. This dude is very arrogant. This is why he has no spiritual power.
He has no power.
He, he, he, he's barely a good preacher. I'm gonna tell you that right now, barely a good preacher. But at the end of the day, he, he flaunts this arrogance so God can't really flow in power through this dude. So he said to— he said out of his own mouth Okay, his money better. I don't mind doing this from home to church. He said his building needed rest. God didn't bless you, man, with all those people, all that money to build the building so you can give the building a rest. That place is a— oh, should be an oasis where God dwells. Oh my God. Okay, I'm gonna get off that, man. Okay, so let me share something with you real quick. Again, men's hearts failing them for fear. Careful fear, reverential fear. But this, what we're teaching about tonight, is a satanic fear. It's a cowardice, a terror from fright. And that's what this pandemic— that's what the spirit of the Antichrist has wanted to control the church, to keep us from gathering, to keep us from coming together around the assurance that God is real. Whether you want to believe it or not, God, my friends, is real. And the enemy wants to keep us out of the house to rob the world of that assurance. Because you know, when we all come together, whether you're worshiping in Africa, whether you're worshiping in New Zealand, and I'm here in America in Atlanta, no matter where we are, when we all go to church together Hear me, it's a testament to the world that somebody believes in God. Oh my God. So here in the text, verse 5, Paul said, I put you in remembrance. Your mind has two functions: memory and imagination. Your memory preplays the past. Your imagination pre— oh my God, I'm sorry, your memory replays the past, your imagination preplays the future. So Paul pulls on the— as a spiritual father who has an intimacy with his son, he pulls him in and said, first of all, son, I want you to remember. I want to put you in remembrance. The first thing he tells him, I need you to remember is your gift. He said, I want you to remember the gift that was placed upon you by the laying on of my hands. See, he actually calls into play both functions of the mind: the memory to replay what happened through the laying of hands, and imagination to pre-play the activities that are supposed to take place as he moves and walks out, glory to the name of God, the memory and move and fan the flame, stir up the gift that was in. The word stir in Greek is er, you are, and it literally means to turn on like a switch. When I walked in this studio, glory to the name of God, I flipped on all these lights, glory to the name of God. Praise God, hallelujah. It was dark before I flipped on the lights, praise the name of God. See, God says, I want you to turn the switch It was just that simple, the flick of one switch and the light came on. You need to turn on the fire that has been deposited in you if you have any. See, what's going to get us through this fear? Not only faith, but the second thing will be the fire that is in you. Glory to the name of God. See, in your gifting, there is a fire that is stirred, that is released when you start walking in your gift. There is a fire. Oh man, say, leba sukush kebaaya, brishka tada bakansete deba kukko. Oh my God, that is released when you start moving in the authority of God. So he reminds him of his gift. Let me remind you today, you're gifted. Hallelujah. Your assignment, hallelujah, is the problem you were created to solve. You are a gift to someone. Matter of fact, you are a life jacket to somebody drowning.
Go find them. Go find them.
They need the fire that is in you. The fire of God is on your gift. My God is a consuming fire. I'm talking about a fire that's so prevalent in you, that works so in you, that when you go out in public, that fire burns of God, that eternal fire, that when you walk in a place that could be a coronavirus hotspot, but because the fire of God is blowing through you, oh my God, coronavirus is consumed. Etabah sur rebeky, because you're walking in the fire. Oh my God. Hallelujah! Glory to God! Yes, Lord, I thank you! I thank you, God! Somebody shout, no fear but fire! No fear but faith. Glory to God. Again, fear and faith are inept to each other. Somebody said, fear knocked on the door, faith answered, and nobody was there, because they cannot abide in the same place. Fear and fire— the fire of God cannot dwell in the same place. It's the fire that consumes sickness and disease. It's the fire that consumes pestilence. It— I don't care what they're saying, another wave is coming in the last part of the year, and we got to brace ourselves, and we got to shut the cities down again. Listen, let me tell you something. I plead the blood of Jesus against that foolishness right now in the name of Jesus. And I declare right now that the curse of coronavirus over the United States is being broken in the name of Jesus. And I decree and declare now that believers everywhere are rising up. They're rising up in the fire of God. Glory to God. And coronavirus is being defeated in every state, in every city, in every county. God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we plead the blood right now. Glory to God. He reminded him of the gift, and with the gift comes fire. I remind you, you're gifted. You came to this planet packaged with a gift wrapped in flesh. It's a gift from heaven that you're here to deliver to the world, and when that gift manifests, there's fire on it. Glory! I'll say it again: when that gift manifests, there's fire on it. Second thing we saw when we read verse number 6— well, verse number 5, actually. I just gave you the breakdown for them. Say he reminded him of his gift. I got ahead of myself. Let's go back to verse 5. Let's go back to verse 5. He actually reminded him in verse 5— watch this— of his secure heritage. Remember verse 5? He said to him, he said, I'm reminding you of your sincere faith. Wait a minute. Which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded it lives in you also. Can I, can I remind you of your heritage? Let's start with your big brother Jesus. If you're in Christ, your heritage is in Jesus Christ. You are— oh my God, wait a minute— we are a part of his family. Glory to the name of God. And whatever he has, I have. Whatever Jesus has, you have. Oh, wait a minute. I'm persuaded that if you've received Jesus, that heritage is in you. You got a secure heritage in Christ. And many of you listen to me, you were raised up by parents who believed in God. Listen, my daddy was a man of faith. Glory to the name of God. I watched him live a life of faith, and I'm persuaded by what I saw him— through him, that that same faith works in me. Glory to God, glory to God. I watched my daddy about to lose his life on the floor in our house because he was suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning that should have killed all of us. But God used him as a witness to what God can do. And while he was laying there on the floor, he said, go get the Bible, Mike. I was a young boy, 15 years old. And he said, "I want you to read Psalm 20." Watch this. Wise men understand the word is true. This man is about to die. He should be dead. There's so much, oh my God, carbon monoxide in his body. But he says, "Read, Mike." I start reading from Psalm 20, one of my favorite scriptures today. "The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble. The name of the God of Jacob defend thee. Some trust in chariots, 'some trust in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.' Oh my God. 'For we, we will stand in him upright forever.' That's the text. I begin to read that repeatedly, repeatedly. Oh, rabba basikia. And as my daddy's eyes were weak, I remember it, as the word of the Lord began to go forth, his eyes got stronger, his countenance start changing. By the time the ambulance got there, he was able to stand up on his own if he wanted to. Glory to God. They took him to the hospital to check. All the carbon monoxide was still there, but the healing virtue of God healed his body through the word. It kept him alive. See, my heritage is among those who are sanctified. My heritage is among those who have faith in God. What's your heritage? Who did you watch believe? If it worked for them, it'll work for you. If it is— if it worked for cancer, it'll work for coronavirus. If it worked for high blood pressure, it'll work for coronavirus. Lord have mercy. If it worked, oh my shikaya, mandi asi, oh my God, for diabetes, it'll work for coronavirus. Oh, Herman, see, God have mercy. I see, I got to go back to church. It still works. Watch this, if he did it before He'll do it again. His has done is just as powerful as his will do. Oh boy, oh my God. If he did it before, he gonna do it again, y'all. Hallelujah. He can deal with coronavirus. We just gotta believe in our heritage, our special secure heritage, in our spiritual gifts. We need to be reminded we have a heritage in Jesus. We have a heritage in those that raised us up in faith. Thirdly, he reminded him of his solid conviction, which was, God— hear this— has not given you the spirit of fear, Timothy. Can I say to you watching me? God didn't give you the spirit of fear. He didn't say you didn't have it. He said he didn't give it to you. Many of you watching me right now, you got it from CNN. Yeah, you got it from your local news. You got it buying into the hype that you gonna die if you go to church, and that just ain't true. That you gonna die if you go to the grocery store. Like I said, some of y'all just want to stay at home. You're gonna die if you go to a restaurant. The devil is a liar. You need to be able to live and pray in a way that you know God's got you. He didn't give you the spirit of fear. What did he give you?
Yeah, he didn't give you dahilia, cowardice from fright. He gave you power. Oh, Rabbi, he gave you power. I'll say it again, he gave you power. Yes, God. The word here in Greek is not dunamis, it's exousia. Dunamis is inherent ability. It's what gives words like dynamo. The more you invest in dunamis, the more you add to it, the stronger it gets. It's inherent. It comes from God. It's a, it's an inheritance from God. It is the—
oh my God, my God—
it is the enforcer of exousia. Exousia is authority.
Hallelujah!
God says, I didn't give you fear, but I gave you authority. I dare you to touch yourself and say, I have authority. Say, I have exousia. You have authority over the enemy. You got to start using it. You got authority over coronavirus. You should be praying that every day, taking authority over this thing, over this pandemic. Every day I'm crying out to God, taking authority, declaring that we are victorious in this thing.
Hallelujah.
He gave you power. He gave you love. This is the conviction. I'm standing in power. I'm standing in authority. I'm convicted. I'm convinced that this is my portion, not fear. I'm convinced God loves me too much to kill me with coronavirus. Oh my God, somebody said, oh preacher, there are a lot of preachers that died of coronavirus. Listen, that's between them and God. I'm here to tell you that's not my lot, and it don't have to be yours neither if you begin to believe. And watch this, operating wisdom. Operating wisdom according to the scripture, applying the word to everything you do.
The Bible said he gave you love, he gave you agape.
That's unconditional love. If God loves me unconditional, why would he allow coronavirus to kill me? Come on, someone said, did he not love those others?
I'm sure he did.
But at the end of the day, something— maybe it was that time. And most of these people that you see, preachers that passed, they were older and they, they had conditions already that whatever happened accelerated. Some of these deaths, according to the CDC, that have been reported as coronavirus, weren't coronavirus.
Uh-oh.
I'm not going to get into that.
So I just want you to understand, God didn't send this to kill you.
He's greater and he's bigger than coronavirus.
Oh God, he loves you unconditionally. There's nothing you could ever do to make God stop loving you.
God is not this mean, ugly God that's sitting up in heaven looking for people to destroy. What he wanted to do— he allowed— he's not raining down coronavirus. He allowed it to happen because he could have stopped it. But what he wants to do is get the church's attention where we arise better than we was before from this. He created a season of isolation that produced intimacy, and out of that intimacy, he wanted to give impartation of his will, of his plans. I pray y'all that you use this season for that, that you've been in the face of God. Some of y'all, I could tell you ain't been in the face of God because you're still fearful. You still let CNN govern how you move in the things of God.
He loves you. He gave you power.
Watch this, and he gave you a sound mind. This brings the balance to it. The word sound mind is a compound word in Greek. Those two words is sophronismos. Sophronismos means you have a well-balanced and intelligent mind. A well-balanced and intelligent mind, which means again you ain't gonna be out here crazy and just going into the ward where everybody with coronavirus got it and you don't put on a mask, you don't tempt the Lord, but you walk by faith and wisdom and you trust God. Hallelujah! That you're protected. Someone said, well, Mike, you're not trusting God then if you got on the mask. I'm saying you need to exercise wisdom and a careful fear as long as the authorities are telling us to do that. The scientists, the people that have authority in this area are saying wear a mask. Then you should wear a mask. The Bible said, let your soul be subject to higher power. That ain't just your pastor. That's the police. That's the government.
That's the science.
That's people who have authority in those areas, exousia in those areas where you don't. You're not a scientist. So if they're saying wear a mask, let's do it for an example. We believe God. Let's wear the mask in the ward where everybody with coronavirus is and plead the blood and watch everybody get healed in, in, in a matter of seconds. If they tested them right after you prayed because you walked in power, then everybody could take off their mask.
Glory to God. You got to have a sound, intelligent mind.
You got to approach the word with balance and wisdom and self-discipline. You got to be controlled that you pray the word daily. No more fear.
Don't you take it— I'm closing with this— what God did not give you. I'll say it again: don't take what God didn't give you. He didn't give you the spirit of fear. He gave you power, he gave you love, and he gave you a sound mind.
Hallelujah. Let's pray.
Father, in Jesus' name, I thank you for your word today. I pray that this word will land on the good ground of every heart that has heard it. I thank you, dear God, for every believer under the sound of my voice, even the non-believer that has stayed and heard this message.
Save them now and remove fear from their lives, and remove fear from the believer. It's It is not your will for us to be like this. I call for an emergence, Lord, of believers of the body of Christ.
In Jesus' name, amen, and thank God.
Hallelujah. Well, clap your hands and thank God for the word right where you are.
Listen, I have a few moments left.
I don't want to harp on this. But glory to the name of God, those of you that are connected to Rhoda Church, I need you to trust God in your giving. We are approximately 30-some-odd days out from our September 11 launch date.
We're still doing remodeling in the sanctuary, and we need your help. We need you to give your tithe and your offering.
Glory to the name of God. If this message has blessed you today, I want to challenge every person to sow sow your seed in the kingdom of God.
The ways to give are on the screen. I invite you to do that now. Listen, I also want to invite you guys to join me, praise God, oh my God, for something awesome that's about to take place in the city of Atlanta. I just said we're going back to the church September 11th.
We're calling that entire weekend, September 11th through the 13th, we're calling calling it Emergence.
Bounce back better.
It is to recover. Emergen is where we get like emergency. Emergen-cy means to rise or recover from an emergency. And we're going to emerge from this emergency we've been under called a pandemic. We're going to emerge better than we've ever been.
I'm looking for the entire body of Christ to do it.
Listen, join us Friday night at 7 o'clock. On Saturday at 12 noon, we're going to have an apostolic roundtable where we're going to discuss the things that's going on in the world. We're gonna—
all the apostles are going to spend some time praying for the people that are in attendance.
Glory to the name of God. And then on Saturday night, we're going to have another general session with one of our speakers. And then on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock AM, and then back again closing it out on Sunday night. 5 powerful services. Listen, you have to pre-register for this meeting. You cannot— hear me good— just show up for this meeting. You have to pre-register because again, we want to be careful, we want to use wisdom. So we have online— you'll be able to go to riderchurch.com/emergence. You can go there and you can register praise the name of God. And then you'll be sent a form that you need to fill out and submit it. It's going to ask you 3 brief questions about COVID-19. When you get to the church, we're going to take every person that comes through the door's temperature. If you have a temperature that's above the norm that we require, we're going to pray for you and we're going to believe God that your fever will break right on the spot. Praise the name of God. And we're gonna let you in the service. We will have the service set up with the seating set up where there will be social distancing. We will distribute masks. Glory to the name of God. So we're gonna make sure that you're protected and you're cared for, but moreover, you're gonna be able to experience the power of God inside of the church. So listen, make plans now to be in the house. Make sure you go to robthechurch.com emergence and get registered now. I pray everyone has done what you're supposed to do in giving. Glory to God. And I'm thankful for you tuning in to this service today. Praise the name of the Lord.
Listen, if you've been watching and you're not born again, I want to pray with you.
The Bible simply says if you confess with your mouth, believe in your heart that Jesus died and rose again, you shall be saved. Would you pray with me? Glory to God. A prayer of confession and accept Jesus into your heart. If you know your business is not straight with God, if you know you died right now, you would go to hell. Glory to God.
I need you to pray with me.
Come on, let's pray. Say, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I open my heart and I invite you in. Say, Lord,
