ZETO: The Pursuit of A King! | Dr. Mike Woods, Sr. | 23 OCTOBER 2025

In this live‑stream sermon, Dr. Mike (Apostle Mike) Woods, Sr. exhorts his audience to pursue God‑the‑King with the same intensity they would pursue any earthly desire. He opens with a prayer and a personal note about burying a close friend, then repeatedly urges viewers to share the stream. The core teaching revolves around the Greek word zēteō/zētaiō (to seek or pursue) and is organized around four foundational statements: (1) the proof of desire is pursuit; (2) pursuit in the kingdom is mandatory, not optional; (3) the kingdom is available to anyone who desires it; and (4) true pursuit must suspend natural, worldly pursuits. Woods then enumerates fourteen concrete benefits of pursuing the King, drawing them from Psalm 89:19‑29 (help, servant identity, strength, God’s hand, freedom from affliction, victory over the enemy, God’s kindness, authority, covenant inheritance, etc.). He follows with a close reading of Matthew 6:22‑33, emphasizing that seeking the kingdom first leads to provision and that the eye is the lamp of the body. Throughout, he stresses the need for correct mastership (serving God alone), proper priorities, and the rejection of anxiety, urging believers to align every area of life—finances, family, health—with the kingdom constitution. The sermon concludes with a prayer, a call to give, and logistical announcements for Rhoda Church services. The overall tone is fervent, persuasive, and instructional, aiming to motivate listeners to re‑orient their lives toward the Kingdom of God.

And so Father, tonight in the name of Jesus, we thank you that we won't miss it to the left nor to the right, but every one of us, God, we will begin to move in a level of accuracy like never before in our lives. And we give you praise and glory for that now, in Jesus' name, amen. And thanks be to God, listen, I heard that so clear. Glory to God. God is about to launch you into a dimension— here it is— of accuracy like you never seen before in your life. You're not gonna miss it to the left nor to the right. You're going to be accurate with people. You're going to be accurate with contracts. You're going to be accurate with business deals. Glory to God. You're going to be accurate even with your family. Every step you take, you know You know why you're going to be accurate? Because you're going to be so aligned with what God says about you. Hear me, you're going to be so aligned with what the word of the living God says about you, you're going to allow him to order your steps. Glory to God. And when you're following his way, you'll never miss it to the left. Oh my God, or to the right. We only miss it, hear me, when we venture outside of God's plan. And start following our flesh, following our emotions, following our feelings. Some of you are emotionally attached to things and people that you need to release. Glory to God. And it is compromising. Hear the word of the Lord. Glory to God. Your accuracy, your emotions are tied into people. You put your heart into things. Obasiya, roku sha tatamandi kosiana. Hey, glory, I feel you, Jesus. Glory to God. Feel like running out of this studio tonight. Listen, there are things you got to let go of. There's things you've got to release. I heard the Holy Ghost say some of you are holding on to things tonight that God is trying to take. The Bible says, hear me, that if there's any branch in me that beareth not fruit, I take it away. Glory to God. There's some branches that God are trying to purge from your life. Glory to God. And you're holding on for dear life. Glory to God. And God says, you got to let go of what I'm trying to take. Glory to God. Let it go. Release it in the name. Glory to God of Jesus. Somebody ought to give him glory and honor. I feel the presence of Jesus. Stay with me. Hey, Vanessa, God bless you. I see you tonight. Praise God for everyone that's here. We give God praise. And again, please share this. I'm trying to, hallelujah, ease out of this anointing because if I stay in this vein, hallelujah, we won't get to the word. Glory to God. And this word is so important tonight, we need to get to it. So let's jump in it tonight. Glory to the name of God. We're going to talk about zitto, zitto, the pursuit of a King. Zito. The Pursuit of a King. Glory to God. And what I'm going to do, family, at the end of this teaching— hear me— I'm going to add the scripture at the end. We're going to go to Matthew 6 and we're going to look at a few verses there and just kind of unpack them But I need to lay a backdrop to where I'm going with this, right? Glory to the name of God. So I'm gonna give you 4 things I want you to write down, I— or, and I want you to actually type them, hear me, in the comments as, uh, we are sharing them with you. I want you to type in the comments, glory to God, and I want you to let this resonate with your heart because God is literally, hear me, trying to make us Kingdom citizens, Kingdom people like never before. It is so very important that you not become a professional churchgoer and you never actually become a first-class Kingdom citizen. I'm gonna say that again and then we're gonna get into this. It is so important that you just do not become a professional church goer. You got perfect attendance at church and you have zero attendance as a kingdom citizen in the world. That's a problem. Not saying we don't need the church. The church is important. The local church is necessary. I say it all the time. The local church should be kingdom university. It should be where you show up. Thank you, Jesus. To get trained as a kingdom citizen to only be deployed into the world and show up effectively so that the industry of kingdom, hear this, can be advanced. So tonight we're talking about zeto or zetayo in Greek, the pursuit of a king. And we'll get to that, but let's start here. I want you to write this down 'cause you're gonna need it. I want, 'cause I want you to go back and study all of this because it's gonna be very helpful to you optimizing and maximizing your place as a kingdom citizen on earth. Glory to God. Are you ready? Number 1, write it down, type it in the comments. Glory to God. Number 1, praise be the name of God. I want you to write this down: the proof of desire is pursuit. I'll say that again. The proof of desire— Lord, I feel— gee, I feel like running, I promise you. The proof of desire is— I'm trying to feel it, I feel it. Glory to God. The proof of desire is pursuit. So here, this is good. You could tell me you love God, and most people were quick to say, oh, I have a relationship with God. I'm— and they'll even say this, I'm not religious, I'm spiritual. And they'll use that as an excuse not to attend church, not to do things that actually align themselves with pursuit. So, and then they'll say that so they can keep doing the stuff that they do. But the proof of desire is pursuit. You cannot tell me that you desire God, that you desire the kingdom, that you desire his way of living and you don't pursue it. Watch this. The car you drive, you drive it because you pursued it. You desired that car, and then you did what you had to do. You got the financing on that car, or if you were paying cash, you went and got a cashier's check so you could take it to the dealership. Whatever you needed to do to get yourself in that vehicle you wanted, you did it because it was something you desired. God knows I love my wife. I desired her to be my wife. She would not be my wife now if I never would have pursued her. Hear me, because guess what? She's the type of woman— hear me, hear me, hear me— she's the type of woman, glory to God, that will never have pursued me even if she was attracted to me. She just ain't that girl. She wasn't gonna let me know in any way. But so I, because my desire as a man— I desired her, glory to God. Now I knew she was who God said was my wife. I began to pursue her. But I could have said, okay, I desire her, but never said nothing. Here's, here's the key, guys. You, again, you cannot tell me you desire God and you refuse to pursue him, that you desire the things of the kingdom and you refuse to pursue them. The proof of desire is pursuit. All right, y'all got it? Number 2, I want you to write this. I feel Jesus. Write this down. Number 2, glory to the name of God. Pursuit, ha, in the kingdom, hear me, is not an option. It is mandatory. I'm gonna say it one more time. Pursuit in the kingdom is not optional. It is mandatory. Ooh, we gonna see this in text in a moment. If you want the benefits of the King, are you hearing me? And the benefits of being a kingdom citizen and actually being a part of the King's operation, his industry, his way of doing things, you're going to have to pursue him. He is not going to force himself upon you. He is not going to make you— glory to the name of God— huh, follow after the kingdom systems. He is a gentleman, and he wants to be willfully followed. And so if again you want the benefits of being a kingdom citizen, Oh boy, oh boy, you gotta pursue him. You gotta pursue him in worship. You gotta pursue him in prayer. It's not optional. God responds according to his word to prayer. Watch this. Prayer is your earthly license for kingdom interference. The kingdom will not interfere in your life— oh my God— unless you pray. Okay, hear me. Ask and it shall be given. Seek, pursue, and you will find. Knock and the door will be open. Take the A off ask, the S off seek, the K off knock, you still got ass. So you got to pursue him to encounter his benefits. All right, glory to the name of God. Are you ready? Number 3, let's, let's, let's get it. Number 3. The kingdom of God— watch this— is available to anyone— watch this— who desires it. That sounds simple, but it's simple, but in many instances we humans make that complex because— watch this— we mistake The church— hear me— for the kingdom. The church is just— watch this— you and I, we are the church, the ecclesia, the called-out ones. We're the church, and we are citizens of the kingdom. The place where we assemble definitely is not the kingdom. It's a place where we go to meet the King. It's a place where we go to learn about the King. Again, once again, I always say the church is kingdom university, is where you learn about the King. And if you're in a church, glory to God, that's not teaching you about the King, where the— watch this— all the singing, all the preaching, all the teaching doesn't culminate with an ascension toward the King. And I'm not talking about just ascending in the service where we falling out and we crying. I'm talking about where there's a residue of ascension, where your life actually ascends to another dimension and you start walking out the ways of the King even when you leave the building. So watch this, you got to get a desire for this thing. It's available and you can experience and encounter it. Glory to the name of God. Watch this. In every single facet, not only is the King available to anyone that desires him, the King's resources are also available to anyone who desires him. Oh boy. So whatever the King has, it's available to you. But in order to get it, let's go back to number 1. You got to desire it. So that means you got to stop desiring to fix things yourself. Stop desiring— glory to the name of God— to lean to your own understanding. Uh, but in all your ways— sounds like pursuit to me— acknowledge God the King, and he will direct your path into his structures, his systems, his ways of living, his ways of doing things. Listen, if you're just joining us live or by replay, I want to challenge you tonight to please share this live stream. This word is going to help someone. Okay, so we had number 1, the proof of desire is pursuit. Number 2, glory to the name of God, pursuit in the kingdom is not optional, it's mandatory. Number 3, the kingdom of God and the King is available to all who desires it. And watch this, number 4, and we're going to jump into this. The pursuit of the kingdom suspends— oh boy— natural law and pursuits. The pursuit of the king should suspend natural law and pursuits. So I'm not saying you pursuing a good preacher, a good church service, a good worship experience. No, pursuing the King will suspend your desire— ooh— to even follow anything in the natural. So you got to replace your old thinking, your old systems, your old ways of living and ways of working and ways of doing things with Kingdom processes. Hallelujah. And it has to become the priority in all you do. You have to make every other way of living substandard to your pursuit of the kingdom. The kingdom should be first priority at all times, because when you do this and you pursue the kingdom, he gives you results. Glory to God! As it relates to your pursuit It eliminates worry. It supplies your needs. Oh my God. You have a single focus on who you serve. And you know your life has nothing to do. I'm talking about nothing at all to do. Listen to me with your natural abilities, your natural resources, what you have in the bank. Oh my God, you watch this. Your employment status, whether you have clients in your business or not, when you pursue the King, you understand that the King takes care of you and it suspends every other pursuit. You pursue him and he tells you how to work. He tells you what business to start. He tells you who to go in business with. So number 4, the pursuit of the King should suspend your desire for anything in the natural because he supplies it from the supernatural. He gives orders from the realm and the dimension of the kingdom that we walk out and that we live. Listen, the kingdom of God is unshakable. Matter of fact, the Hebrew writer told us that we have entered into an unshakable unshakeable kingdom. Glory to God. Oh boy, let's get into this. Let's go to Matthew. So if you're in the kingdom of God, the systems of the world can fail you. Y'all hear that? I'm telling you right now, the systems of the world can fail you. Glory to God. Look, okay, okay, so I said I was gonna put one scripture. I'm gonna put two. So I'm gonna go to Psalm 89 and I'm gonna start at verse 19, and I want to show you something. I'm gonna just read, then I'm gonna show you something, because the kingdom should be our way of operating. It should be our way of living. We should be living out the principles of our King, and in return, that produces results. This is another part of the backdrop to where I'm going. So let me read, let me read, uh, Psalm 89. Somebody typing in the scripture. I'm gonna start at verse 19. Here we go. The Bible says, once you spoke in a vision to your faithful people, you said, I have bestowed strength on a warrior. I've raised up a young man from among the people. I have found David, my servant— watch this— who was anointed to be king. Hallelujah. With my sacred oil, I have anointed him. Are y'all with me? I'm gonna keep reading. He said, my hand— I could stop right there and we won't never get to Matthew 6. And my hand— listen to this— will sustain him. Surely my arm will strengthen him. Verse 22: The enemy will not get the better of him. The wicked will not oppress him. I will crush his foes. These are benefits of being a Kingdom citizen. I'm gonna show them to you in a minute. He said, I'll crush his foes before him and strike down his adversaries. My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn will be exalted. Verse 25, uh, glory to God, I will set his hand over the sea. Now this is what kingdom children should be doing. We should be ruling. Glory to God. He says his right hand over the rivers. Verse 26, he will call out to me, you are my king, my God, my rock, my savior. You. Verse 27: And I will appoint him to be my firstborn, the most exalted of the kings of the earth. I will maintain my love for him forever, and my covenant with him shall never fail. I will establish— here we go, here we come in— his line, his legacy, his lineage forever. His throne as long as the heavens endure. I told you this kingdom is unshakable, man. Now look, watch this. There are about 14 things in those 10 verses I just read that are benefits of pursuing the King. Watch this, I'm gonna just give them to you. Number 1 is a benefit of pursuing the King: God's help. We saw that in verse 19. We get help. Somebody shout help! See, if you're in a situation where you're not getting the heavenly help that you think you ought to be getting, you need to check your pursuit. God is never at a deficit. Check your pursuit. Hear me real good, check your pursuit. If some things are lacking, some things are not coming together, I need you to check your— I need you to check your priorities. Get your priorities straight. Straight, man of God. Get your priorities straight, woman of God. My brothers, my sisters, my spiritual children, set your priorities straight and God the King will help you. Number 2, we saw that in verse 20, you get to be called God's servant. What a great thing. Somebody say, ah, yeah, I am God's— but no, he calls you servant, not you call yourself a servant. I'm a servant of God. No, When you pursue the kingdom, God said, okay, that's one who serves me, that's one who loves me, that's one— glory to God— who desires me above worldly systems and worldly ways. So I'ma call them a servant. Yeah, just because you say it don't necessarily mean it's true, but when God calls you servant He's basically saying you belong to him. Oh my God. And that's what we want him to verbalize out of his mouth. I need you to touch yourself and say, I belong to God. Woo! Ha! Shema Yah. Toda Rashaikia. I gotta go, y'all. I gotta go. Number 3, we saw that in verse 21. You get God's strength. So the King strengthens you. I just read it. You can go back and read them later. That was 89, Psalms 89:19-29. These are all there. Glory to God. You get the strength of God. Glory to God. So you should never, as a kingdom citizen, be operating— hear me— in weakness. You should never be operating behind the curve. You should always be operating as the head and not the tail. Um, glory to the name of God. A few, few weeks back, I was put in a position where I had to get another car, right? So, uh, I started looking. I knew what I wanted, and this car is so rare, uh, another car in addition to the cars we have. This— I just wanted to get into this electric class and get another car, right? So I started looking about 2 and a half weeks ago. Reality is everywhere I was looking, this car just wasn't available. It wasn't the right fit, wasn't the right miles, didn't look how I wanted. It was, it was always something. But I knew because I was a kingdom citizen, I, because I started to just settle for a Tesla Model Y. I said, I'm gonna just, if I'm getting a car, I'm gonna just settle for this Tesla. But it came back to me, no, that's not what you And the Holy Spirit said, you are a child of the King, so you're not weakened by the unavailability. I'm going to position you to find what you're looking for. Are y'all with me, man? Hi! I can tell you today I found it. Glory to God. And I'm actually supposed to take delivery of it tomorrow morning. The reality is you don't have to ever accept less than the desire God has for you. We're gonna see that a moment, right? He'll add things to the pursuit. Let me keep moving. Say, say, I'm strong in God. Hallelujah. Number 4, write it down. Number 4, write it down. This is a benefit of a kingdom citizen pursuing God. Number 4, in verse 21, God's hand is with them. God's hand is with those that pursue him. Oh God, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. His hand is with us. Oh, so if his hand is with us, why are you worrying about your hands? Just keep pursuing him. Pursue his heart and he'll release his hand. Oh my God, it's just— it's that simple. It's really that simple. Pursue his heart and he'll release his hand. You got to go after him so his hand can be released in the affairs of your life. And stop letting the things that you see, the things you deal with, get the best of you. His hand is with us. Number 5— I don't have to— I can't tear with these. Oh, number 5, we saw it. Glory to God. In verse 22, it was freedom from affliction. Oh my God, oh my God, freedom from affliction. Come on, man, when you pursue the King and you desire him and you pursue him, he frees you from affliction. So instead of making— pursuing the doctor and medical ways of resolving your issues first, always keep the pursuit of the kingdom on the top of the list, because our healthcare system as kingdom citizens is sovereign to the medical healthcare system. Because doctors— hear me— are still practicing medicine. Hmm, they practicing on you. They hope the medication work, they hope the, the prognosis works. Glory to God. Here we go, here we go. God ain't practicing. He made you. It's in him we live and move and have our being. He knows your body. So just like you put trust that if you put the pill in your mouth and you're going to be okay. Put trust that Jehovah Rapha, our King, his hand is with you and he has removed affliction. I dare you, touch your body and say, affliction, oh my God, has been removed from my life. Oh my God, come on, you ought to declare it. Say, in the name of Jesus, I renounce the spirit of infirmity. And I decree and declare that— oh my God— effective immediately, affliction has been removed from my life according to Psalms 89:22. You ought to receive that and give glory to God. So next time you get a headache, next time the doctor gives you a diagnosis, you need to declare, I am a kingdom citizen, I am a child of God, and I declare it now that my body is healed, my body is whole, and it's been removed from my life. And as a believer, you don't have to accept it because somebody told it to you. Whose report will you believe? You gotta believe the report of the King. Oh my God, I got to get to Matthew 6. Let me go, uh, verse 22. Also says as a kingdom citizen you have freedom from deception, which means the enemy can't deceive you. Let me keep moving. You have verse 23, number 7, you have victory over the enemy. Y'all type these in the comments. Number 7. So when you are kingdom citizen who's in pursuit of God You're free from deception. Number 6. Number 7, you have victory over the enemy. I wish I had time. I got to get to Matthew 6, y'all. Oh my God, verse 25, this is so good. Number 9, you have— number 8, I'm sorry— you have God's faithfulness and kindness. We saw that in verse number 24. God's faithfulness and kindness is with you. Do you know we serve a kind God? He's not this mean, angry God like people have depicted him, sitting up in heaven on the throne waiting to throw everybody in hell and waiting to kill everybody and wreak wrath on everybody. No, he's kind. And if you pursue him, you'll find out just how kind he is. He's kind and full of gratitude, and he loves to bless his children. He's faithful to bless his children. And you got all of these people around here who are saying, I'm a Christian, I go to church, I love the Lord, but they have never experienced the kindness of God and the faithfulness of God fully. Listen, can I announce to you in this day and time, it is time for us to experience— glory to the name of God— the kindness of God effectively. Glory to God. Faithful. He loves you. Are y'all hearing me? Uh, and please, somebody put number 7 up there because I want the people coming back to see it. Number 7 was in verse 23: you have victory over the enemy. Number 8 was that God is faithful and kind to those that pursue him. Are y'all getting anything out of this tonight? I hope you are. Glory to the name of God. Because if you pursue him See, the people that are not experiencing the kindness of God, they think that God is obligated just to open the heavens and drop it out of the sky. He's not. Unfortunately, he's not. Unfortunately, he tells you to pursue him. And it would be nice if everything was magic, but it's not. We're gonna see that in a minute. We'll get to Matthew chapter 3. It's not. All right, all right, let me go. Verse number 9. We saw it in verse 25. If you pursue God, you'll have— here we go— you will have influence, dominion, authority in the world. That's rada. You have rada, control, authority in the world. In your sphere of influence, you will be at the top. I don't know, but I want to announce to 10 people that's listening to me tonight I want to prophesy to you, 10 people that are receiving, that as you change your pursuit of the King, God's about to unleash in this year, this Rosh Hashanah of 5786, he's about to manifest influence in your life like you've never seen it, in the realm and the dimension of your assignment and your purpose. All you got to do is decide tonight you're gonna start pursuing him above everything else. You're gonna stop the worrying and you're gonna pursue God. Are y'all here? Glory to God. Let me keep moving, let me keep moving. Number 10, we saw this in verse 26. Those that pursue him have available to them God's saving power to rescue. Watch this. So salvation doesn't stop when you get saved. Hear me, salvation continues the rescue through the life you walk with God. So when situations arise and you need to be bailed out, you need rescue, God will reach down with his long arm and his strong hand and pull you up. He— I'm talking, he'll reach down with that long arm and that strong hand and pull you out of whatever you in because you chose. That's the exchange for the pursuit. Oh God, I dare somebody just shout, Lord, come and get me! Oh, glory to God! See, that's what you gotta learn how to do when stuff overwhelms you and it looks like there's no way out. You just need to wrap back and shout it, Lord, come and get me! And I'm telling you, he gonna reach out with that long arm and that strong hand and pull you out. Glory to the name of God! And save you. Glory with God from whatever you're dealing with. I got to get out of here. Well, I feel Jesus. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Number 11. Oh my God, you have— we saw that also in verse 26— you have a father— he's the father-son relationship. I told y'all before, sons in the Bible is never gender biased when it's speaking of us. It's the sons of the sperm of the family of God with a life force. It's a spiritual term to describe the family of God. We are Kingdom citizens, Kingdom sons, and the pursuit of God gives you right to that relationship. I'm almost done. Glory to God. Number 12: Oh, God exalts you and gives you authority. I'm almost done, man. That's verses 27 through 29. Number 13: You're a partaker of the Covenant, and you have a right to every promise that God gave you. Verse 28, watch this, and here's what I verse 29. The promises upon you are passed on to your descendants. Your children's children are blessed through your pursuit. Are we here? So those things I wanted to give you, are there 14 of them? But let's go to Matthew 6 real quick, and I'm gonna be out of here, man. I got, I got 17 minutes, so y'all stay with me. Glory to God. We love you, Jesus. We bless you. I'm gonna start— praise God. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. I'm gonna start Matthew 6. I think I want to start at verse number 22. 6 and 22. All right, Matthew 6:22. I'm gonna read through and including verse number 33. That's 10 more verses, but we're gonna get out of here in 17 minutes. All right, so stay with me. Don't leave, don't scroll, stay with me. Glory to God, this is gonna bless you. The Bible says the eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. So let me, let me help you. This has nothing to do with— oh my God, are you ready? Sight. Sight is a matter of physical eyes. Vision is a matter of the heart. Watch this. So here we go. Your heart has to begin to see God as King. When you see God as King, your whole existence, your whole biological existence, your whole psuche, your psychological existence, your soul existence, or, and your zoe, your spiritual existence, is now full of illumination. It's full of light. It's full of direction. So that's why you got to prioritize him. So Father, in Jesus' name, I'm gonna pray this right now. I decree and declare that your eyes, your spiritual eyes, will begin to open. Glory to God. And I declare that your spiritual eyes will be healthy. Glory to God. And that you will get a vision of God, of the King, like you never had before. Watch this. You cannot have kingdom without a king. That's why we gotta proceed with this. You cannot have kingdom— the root of the word kingdom is king. So you got to get a vision not for what his kingdom offers, but for who he is. Healthy eyes are clear. I'm not talking about what somebody told you or what you heard. I'm talking about what you really have beheld, what you really have perceived of God envision in your life. I'm talking about having a heart for God where you have tasted him according to the Hebrews. And once you've been enlightened according to Hebrews, the Bible says you'll never fall away. So when you really have tasted God and you've been enlightened, you'll never fall away. You'll never depart from him. You'll never leave his presence. Hear me, hear me. Glory to God. I need you to taste them. I need you to be healthy so your body, your life can be full of light. Oh boy. See, when you see him, the dark stuff disappears. The stuff that's uncertain disappears. The stuff that has no direction disappears because now light, the illumination, the revelation of who he is gives you direction. It processes you into another dimension of living because now your eyes are healthy. And Father, I rebuke spiritual— mm-hmm— spiritual blindness in the name of Jesus. And I declare every person on the sound of my voice has the ability tonight to see themselves as you see them. Them and to see you, God, and your love toward them as you are and as you do love them, in Jesus' name. All right, let's keep moving, let's keep moving. Omashia. Lord, I love you, I bless you. The Bible says, and anyone who says, you fool, will be in danger of the fire of Now watch this. So when you're— so this is in direct response to the statement about your eyes being healthy and you being full of light. Now watch this. When you have this kind of relationship, this is not about you saying you full. It's about people who look at the light on your life. Oh, and can't really perceive that you actually be— have beheld who God is, and they call you a fool for prioritizing God the way you do, and they see the light in your life, the Bible says that person is in danger of hell because you are a sure door to get them into the kingdom. But they still want to call you a fool. Oh God, because you're sold out. But let that go and keep pursuing. Are y'all hearing this? Let's go. Glory to God. I'm almost through. Verse 23. Therefore if you are offering your gift at the altar— oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I, I went over to Matthew 5:23, but that was real good. Let me, let me go, let me jump back over here. Let me jump. He said, if your eyes are healthy, your whole body is full of light, but if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness? My God. So if all you see are darkness And this darkness here is not just sin. This darkness is following ways that are not of the light, that are not of the King. So he's saying, if you— your life is controlled by principles and systems and ways of living that's not in the light, he said, man, that must be some very influential darkness for you not to allow your eyes to be healthy so you can follow the right way. I got to get out of here, man. Glory to the name of God. Verse 26, here we go. Here we go. No man can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. Watch this, here we go. So two problems with pursuing the King and the Kingdom are found right there. The first one is, is the problem of mastership. So hear me good, I got 10 minutes. Who's your master? See, your master is the one that calls you servant, the one that calls you his bond slave, the one that you lean to in priority to follow their ways of doing things. See, many of you are inebriated with iniquity and the systems of iniquity, because that's what you were shaping in. And Western— here we go— philosophy and Western thinking, because we don't understand theocracy and kingdoms in the West. And we don't because we've lived in a democracy. And many times the democratic systems Whether you're Democrat or Republican, this is not about that. The whole United States is a democracy, it's a democratic system. The reality is a theocratic system, which is a God rule system, a monarchy, uh, that's ruled by king. To understand that, you got to realize you have to follow the rules of the king. Whatever he says is true. I want y'all to grab that. Say that with me. Say, whatever the king says is truth. Whatever Jesus says is truth. So in the kingdom, we can't change this to fit our lifestyle. We can't change this— glory to the name of God— uh, to, to do things we want to do and just try to justify it here. No, the king has already decreed how we should be operating in this constitution. So one true sign of pursuit is choosing who's your master. And I know somebody said, I chose Jesus, but when it comes to certain things, you still choose to do things your own way. So is he really the master if you still following your program and not his? Is, right? So this is what you need to be following. You got some, some fools out there, all right? And I'm saying you fool because they ain't got no light in their eyes. Their eyes are unhealthy. That because the Bible says only a fool that says in his heart that there is no God. These people are rejecting God, saying we need to change this book, it's inadated, and the truths are error. Filled with error. The devil is a liar. The Bible said the word of God is quick, it's alive, it's sharper than any two-edged sword. See, I could go along with them if the book hadn't proven to me that it's a lie. This book has proven it's a lie. So this is my constitution. I know I live in the United States, but my constitution is this word. This is the constitution— y'all see it— of the kingdom of God. And this is what you should be living by, this book. Not what you hear on CNN, not what you're on Fox News, not what the media is trying to drive you to follow. Who's your master, America? Who's your master, child of God? I gotta get out of here, man. I got 7 minutes. I gotta go, I gotta go, I gotta go. So it's a problem of mastership. You gotta choose your master. The next verse, watch this. Let me go, let me go, let me go. Uh, hit one man in the same verse. He said, you'll hate the one, love the other. You'll despise the one, despise the other. Came— so the second problem with pursuit is priority. So you got a problem with mastership. Second, here is a problem with priorities. You got to get your priorities straight. You can't straddle the fence. You got to decide, is God and God alone? Okay, you can't serve two masters. You don't love one, despise the other. You don't hate one, despise the other. What you gonna do? You got to decide that you're gonna prioritize God first. Remember I said that earlier? Staying out. Listen, you got to make him a priority. The proof of desire is pursuit. Make him a priority. Pursue his way. Pursue the word's way of doing life. I'm talking about everything— in your finances, in your family, in your behavior. Do what this constitution says. If you do that, there's a reward. I'm gonna keep going. Let me keep reading. He says, and why do you worry about clothes? Verse 28. See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. Verse 30: Is this— is it that— is— is— if that is how God clothes the grass of the field, excuse me, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? So here's the next problem, and I'm going— it's the problem of anxiety. If you're a kingdom citizen, you shouldn't be living in worry. You shouldn't be living in lack. The Bible says you lack faith if you're operating in worry and anxiety. The King will take care of you. The King will supply your needs. You got to pursue what this book says, and my God shall supply my need according to his riches and glory. He goes on to say, doesn't your heavenly Father know you have need of these things even before you ask them. Yes, yes, he knows you need them. And I know sometimes you'd be like, God, if you know I need them, just give them to me. Well, that's not what he wants you to do. It doesn't— he's not going to do that. He wants you to seek him. And here's where I want to get. Verse 33, it says, but seek. The word seek in Greek is zito, or zetaio is how it's pronounced in Greek. And it means to pursue hard after with uninterrupted focus. So you gotta seek ye first the kingdom of God, the basilia, the domain, the rule, the authority, God's way of operating. Watch this, and his righteousness, his accuracy. Glory to God, his ability never to be wrong. Diasune in Greek. So you got a zito the King and his kingdom, his authority, his power, his rule, and his way of never being wrong. I need y'all to hear that. God is never wrong. Remember I told you the pursuit is not optional? Here it is. It's not. He said, watch this, if you seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, this is what he says. He says all the things will be added to you. So he says, look here, you ain't got to pray about a house. House, pray about a car, pray about money, pray about a family. I'm gonna add that to you if you truly pursue the Constitution, if you truly pursue my ability never to be wrong. Let's pray. Father, in Jesus' name, God, I could have taught this all night, but I'm gonna be obedient and quit. Glory to God. Father, bless your people. May they become pursuers of you. May we pursue you with the top priority, to give you superlative priority, paraiso in Greek. First, may we put you above all else. May we come after your heart so you can release your hand. And I thank you that as we pursue you, you'll just slip us houses, slip us cars, slip us businesses, slip us money. And God, our life will be filled with the fullness of the kingdom, and we bless you for it now. You'll slip us healing and deliverance. Glory to God, because it's the way of the kingdom. In Jesus' name, amen. Guys, I love y'all, but I got to get off of here, man. I love you. I love spending time with you. Glory to God. Y'all be blessed. Y'all have a super evening.
