Hi, my name is Patti Yick and I'm a naturopathic doctor and clinic director at ViiV Integrative Health Group in Calgary, Alberta. I love naturopathic medicine because it really allows me to think outside the box and be able to provide my patients an ability to really uncover the underlying causes of their health concerns and really get them to feel better and really address their health concerns in a way that no one else has ever been able to do. There's a lot of tools in my toolbox to be able to help patients really individualize their treatment plans. This might include dietary work, nutritional counseling, lifestyle counseling. We talk a lot about nutritional supplementation and use a lot of variety of treatments such as botanical remedies, and I do a lot of acupuncture in my practice. My passion in naturopathic medicine is really about fertility, helping couples achieve their goal of starting or expanding their families. Our clinic just really happens to be located very close to the Calgary Regional Fertility Clinic, and we see a lot of couples here who are just really looking for something additional to help them achieve their goals of conceiving with or without assisted reproductive techniques.
