VIVE Integrative Health Group | Naturopath Calgary | Intravenous Therapy

Dr. Patti Yik explains why Vive Health uses IV and intramuscular therapies: they deliver nutrients directly into the bloodstream for 100% absorption, producing faster results than oral supplements. The clinic offers nutritional IVs, vitamin C for immune support, B12 shots, and chelation for heavy metal removal, customized for fatigue, digestive issues like Crohn's and IBS, and stress.

At Vive Health, we've decided to include injection therapies into what we offer because they can have a very dramatic effect, very strong effect. Very quickly. We can help patients achieve what they need to achieve in an expediated way, so that instead of waiting months for the result that they're desiring, we can hopefully accelerate that to a considerably shorter period of time. We use a number of different types of injection therapies. We use nutritional IVs to strengthen and nourish the body. We will use different types of chelation therapies to remove toxic heavy metals. We'll do intravenous vitamin C to really nourish the body and help to fight against sometimes cancer. Also to help boost the immune system. We also use different things to strengthen the body in very specific ways. Depending on exactly what's going on with the patient, we can really customize our treatments to exactly what the patient needs. Many of the different types of injection therapies we use are intravenous, where the solution is going straight into the veins for 100% absorption. That's important because many times when we're taking supplements orally, the amount of nutrient that actually gets in the body is actually a small fraction of what's taken with intravenous therapies, 100%. Therefore, much quicker and dramatic effect is seen. We also do intramuscular therapies, and that could include something as simple as vitamin B12 shots or something a little bit more advanced. For example, for mercury removal from the body, we like to make our patients as comfortable as possible for their IVs, we have blankets, hot water bottles. There's a window through which they can look. The treatments we provide here are very safe. We have a very good safety record. People tolerate these IVs without any difficulty, and they cruise right through their treatment series. We've been extremely pleased with the results we see with our patients. All types of patients who we recommend intravenous therapies for typically come out feeling more energetic, with many of their symptoms starting to resolve and with a renewed sense of vigour. There are a number of different types of patients who we find respond very well to intravenous nutrient therapy. For example, people who are fatigued, worn out, or exhausted. By nourishing their bodies, we're able to strengthen their body so that they lift out of the fatigue and their strength is restored as well. People with digestive concerns who perhaps have Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome. These people do not absorb nutrients very well. So by giving them intravenous nutrients, we bypass the difficulties that they're having in their guts and we restore a lot of their energy, help them heal. And many times these chronic conditions will start to resolve. People with high degrees of stress, who have high demands and high performance goals to achieve, they tend to burn through their nutrients very, very quickly. We like to infuse the nutrients back into their bodies to strengthen and nourish them so that they can meet those demands and be back on their game.
