Everyone here at Vive Health works very well together. And what makes it so effective is the team aspect that we have. We each have our very different expertise and skill sets that complement the way that we work with patients.
I decided to become a naturopathic doctor because I wanted to be able to help people restore their health. We offer all kinds of different procedures and types of therapy to our patients. Some very straightforward nutritional and lifestyle guidance, but also, of course, more advanced therapies, for example, intravenous therapies or prolotherapy, or different things that have very strong and powerful effect to help people see responses very quickly.
I came upon this clinic which had everything that I was looking for. I was able to have blood, all kinds of tests done to find out what my underlying issue was in my health, which I could not get in the conventional medicine. Dr. Patti has put me on a diet which has helped me tremendously.
Dr. Collin, specifically, he's fantastic with working with pain management. He does a lot of injection therapies as well as IV nutrient therapies as well.
The difference that it's made in my life is just tremendous. My hair has quit falling out. My nails are not as brittle anymore. My energy level is almost instantly after the treatments. Just unbelievable.
The IV therapy is one of our favored types of therapies to help see patients move along their treatment plan quickly. So they start to see responses and improvements in their general state of health, their energy and any particular symptom quite quickly when IVs are included into their treatment plans.
I coordinate the fertility program and I do a lot of women's health. Everything covering from hormonal imbalances, menopause, pcos. So a lot of hormone issues I deal a lot with in my, I guess, population of patients. A cornerstone of the fertility program as well as women's health and is acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. I love doing acupuncture. It really helps the body and it integrates the mind, the body, the spirit and the energetics of the body.
Initially, I came to see a naturopath just to help balance my lifestyle. My hormones were out of whack, so it really helped me find success. The treatments that I receive here from Patti, our regular consults, acupuncture and a, well, pregnancy and post pregnancy program. I feel that Patti's helped me manage with using non conventional methods. So no drugs. It's all been natural and safe for me and for baby.
Health is really about empowerment and the relationships that I form with patients are very important because it allows me to empower them with the knowledge that they need to really see changes in their symptoms as well as to see them through into future health.
Coming here, I had mentioned to Dr. Colin that I'd. I'd had three knee surgeries in my younger day. I played, I was a rugby player, and I consequently had three knee surgeries as a result of that. And one of the things that Dr. Cullen has put me on is prolotherapy program, and it's been extremely effective in reducing them. The arthritic pain, the grinding feeling that I've had on my knee. And one of the things that I'm trying to accomplish through prolotherapy is to avoid actual surgery or knee replacement. And I highly recommend polar therapy as a way to manage pain and, in fact, relieve your pain in your joints.
Well, I was attracted to naturopathic medicine because it really resonates with how I like to treat people. Dealing with their health in a much more intimate way and getting to look at the whole body approach, I find very valuable and being able to empower people with knowledge that can really help them out.
I'm motivated to come to work every day because I know that what I do is, can dramatically help patients make a big difference in their lives, can get them back to doing the things that they love to do and get them back to their normal lives again.
