But what happens after? And this is what they don't tell you, what happens after cancer treatment when you are declared cancer free. You know your cancer, you're in remission, they let you go. But the worst part of the whole treatment is what comes afterwards. I went to a regular doctor, they said, you know, this is just part of it. It takes time and you'll be fine. But how do you get over? How do you. How do you live your life for a year after cancer, after remission? It's time. It's not like I'm going to sit there and wait for myself to get better. In my whole cancer journey, functional medicine was the game changer. So I'm weight training, I'm walking, I'm playing tennis, and everything was like a big effort because my body was changing. Now, mind you, I firmly believe that had I discovered functional medicine when I was younger, my life today would be so much better. I mean, I think that if people had the chance to, you know, you're going to a regular general doctor, but if that general doctor was a functional medicine doctor, you know, what is the difference between one and the other? I've discovered that one treats the symptom, the functional medicine treats, digs and digs and digs and digs deeper until finally the answer to why whatever is happening is happening, treats that point, really digs deep and deals with that as opposed to what's on the surface. And I wish I would have discovered that in my 30s, maybe 20s, but 30s, 40s. I wish it wouldn't have been, you know, post cancer, because I think for sure, in my life, or in my 50s, for sure, my life, throughout my life, I would have had a healthier life. One of the things that I've noticed that what functional medicine has done for me is that I today take very little medication. My medication is mostly to do with the effects of cancer, the after effects of cancer. I don't take headache medication. I'm really, I, you know, most of my. What is it that I take? It's all supplements now, now that everything is regulated that, you know, we have had. Last August, I started seeing you now it's been almost a year. Today, I could tell you that all my, all my everything is pretty regulated. Everything is even, nothing is too high and nothing is low. But mostly I just get up in the morning and I go for a walk. Functional medicine. Functional medicine. That's really what it is.
