A short YouTube presentation by Dr. Shabana Parvez describing the choleric (hot & dry) body temperament. The speaker diagnoses the listener as choleric, outlines characteristic traits (Type A personality; hyperactive; lean, strong, fast metabolism; blushes easily; prone to hot/dry conditions like fevers, inflammation, acid reflux, rashes, migraines), and gives practical balancing advice: adopt a cold-and-wet diet (examples provided), live in cooler/wetter climates, and use cooling spices (coriander, vanilla, cardamom). The video also promotes a course that teaches temperament theory, predisposed diseases, diet/activity recommendations, and a six-factor holistic plan to restore balance.

Hi, My name is Dr. Shabana Parvez. I'm a medical doctor and owner of Arlington Integrative Medical Center. Thank you for taking my Body Temperament Type test. You have taken the first step towards balancing out your body type. So are you curious to know your body temperament type and what you can do to use that information to your advantage? Lets start. You are the choleric type, in other words the hot and dry type. What may sound familiar to you is you tend to be hyperactive, always on your feet, you're never really cold and you blush easily. Think fiery, fierce, active. The choleric type is the most type A personality and body type on the four temperaments. The choleric temperament has a tendency to be lean, strong and tends to get dry muscles quickly compared to the other body types. Your metabolism tends to be fast and active just like you and if you have health problems, they tend to be hot and dry health problems. These are the things that are caused by excess buildup of hotness and dryness in the body. For example stress issues, fever, infections, acid reflux, sore red eyes, inflammation, hives, rashes, migraines and irritability. Most importantly though, excess heat and dryness in the body can cause one to feel overall out of balance and not in the best health. But rest assured, famous ancient doctors and researchers like Hippocrates and Avicenna and many others for hundreds of years have outlined entire books about how to holistically balance the choleric type. Did you know that for a great part of history dis ease was treated by balancing your innate body type? So be ready to work with your body temperament instead of against it? You ready to balance your type and feel overall healthier and better in your skin? Are you ready to discover how to treat your body with an approach that is unique to you? Instead of a one size fits all approach that simply doesn't work, try these three strategies. 1. Try a cold and wet diet. Meat such as duck a rabbit, lamb foods such as tofu, brussels sprouts, broccoli and dairy products. Live in a cold and wet climate such as cool mountainous areas with light rainy weather. Explore some cold and wet Coriander, vanilla, cardamom, all of these things can help you cool your body down a bit and get rid of excess dryness. As a result, your body will start to feel more balanced and in harmony. You want to discover more and truly take advantage of this information. I have taken my 26 years of experience as a doctor and holistic health professional working with hundreds of patients and my own practical experience with the four body temperaments and together I have combined them and created a special course for you to balance your temperament and and harmonize your body so that you can feel more energy, better sleep, better focus and overall a feeling of being more balanced and more comfortable in your skin and overall healthier. This program will help you, number one, understand the background of the theory of temperaments so that you can number two, know what diseases and tendencies your body type is disposed to and then number three, learn the types of foods you should eat or avoid and the activities you should do or avoid to counteract your imbalance. And number four, learn how to put it all together with the six essential factors of health to holistically bring your body into an optimal balance and what to do to keep it that way.
