Dr. Nneka Unachukwu tells physician entrepreneurs to stop researching and pick a concrete goal: a launch date, a revenue target, a sales number. She set a seven-figure year and a 1,000-copy first-week goal for her book. Then figure out how to get there.

If your business isn't working the way you expected, it's not because you're bad at business. It's because no one ever taught you how it actually works. We were trained to master algorithms in medicine, but when it comes to revenue teams and growth, we were never taught anything. We weren't even told to figure it out. We just assumed somehow we'd know. Like it would magically make sense. But it doesn't. The era of the seven Figure Physician CEO is here. And it's not about working harder. It's about learning entrepreneurship as a system. The same way you mastered ACLs and pals, you can master the algorithm of building a profitable scalable business. That's why I recorded the Seven Figure Physician CEO audiobook. Whether you're building a medical or non medical business, and whether your goal is your first million, first 2 million, first 5 million, first 10 million, this is where the journey starts. There is no Calvary coming to save us. We are the Calvary. So. So go get your audiobook now. Www.entremd.com 7Figurebook. And let's rewrite the narrative for physicians starting today.
Welcome to the five minute tweak where I share one success habit. You can start practicing today that will change your life as a physician entrepreneur. Today we are gonna talk about making decisions. Now, I find this to be something that we tend to avoid because we don't want to deal with the disappointment of not accomplishing what we decided to do. So, for instance, you are thinking about starting a business, but you can make a decision that I am going to launch my business on May 1, right? You may have started out in business and you may, you may have not owned a revenue goal because you're like, if I own it, then I have to do stuff and I don't know how I'm going to do it and what if I don't hit it? So you could be saying that this first year in business, I'm going to hit 50,000, I'm going to hit a hundred thousand, I'm going to hit 10,000, it doesn't matter. But you can own something. And a lot of times when I ask about this, people are like, well, I need to research more or I need to find out more about this. And I have found that the most successful, successful entrepreneurs make decisions and then make the decision, right? They make decisions and then they search for the how. I remember when I decided, you know what, I want to do a million dollars in revenue in my business without Facebook ads and all of that. I did not know how. I could not actually see the how or. But what I did do is I made that decision this year. This is what we're going to do. How are we going to do it? I'm still working on that. Okay? I'm still working on that. I'm not talking about making rash decisions and going about and you know, burning up stuff. I call making decisions you can turn back from and you're not even sure how. I call, I call that burning things off. Like, I, I don't know what kind of business I want to start, but I'm going to quit my job today. Now you can get away with that, right? But you, you, you do want it to be a little calculated. So I'm not talking about throwing all caution to the wind. But if you're a year, two years in business and you've not owned a revenue goal, it makes it hard for you to accomplish anything. Do you see what I'm saying? So you own something, you make a decision, and then you start working on making the decision, right? And so for the year that I decided, okay, I'm going to do a seven figure year, at the end of the first quarter, I had done maybe 150,000 or 120,000, something like that. And you know, clearly that number does not get you to a million, right? But what was I doing in that first quarter? I was searching, how am I going to do that? What are the ways to do that? If I was going to make changes in my business, what kind of changes would I have to make? What kind of mindset shifts would I have to experience to be comfortable making those changes? Right? Who do I need to talk to? What book do I need to read? Who do I need to ask questions, and all of that. And it was only at the end of the first quarter that I found out how to do it. And then I could start implementing it. Do you see what I mean? And so there may be some decisions that are scary, okay? Especially when it comes to things that are goals. How much do we want to generate? How many people do we want to serve? You know, what kind of impact do we want to have? Have? We're going to start like picking a start date. You want to be that person who can make decisions. Don't overanalyze, don't overthink, don't over research. You need to research enough to make a quality decision. You don't have to know every single thing. You're not actually going to know every single thing. So I want you to practice making Decisions, making decisions. There's some goals, you know, you should have set, but you're avoiding doing it because you don't want to deal with the disappointment. So what am I doing today? I'm inviting you to make the decision. How much do you want your business to make this year? You're like, what if I don't hit it? It doesn't matter. Do you know the EntreMD method book? My goal for it was to sell a thousand copies in the first week. I didn't hit it. Well, guess what? I hit over 800, right? Which, if I didn't make that decision, I would not have hit 800. I would have just kind of sort of seen what would have happened. But because I was chasing after a thousand, I got 800. Like, boohoo, Crimea river, right? I'm excited about my 800. So the bottom line is this. And, you know, that's 800. I could have had 1500. You never know. But the thing is, if you don't decide, you don't engage. If you don't engage, you can't get big results. So today, I want you to go to those things you're procrastinating or making a decision about. Make a decision and that. Start that process of making the decision. Right? Okay, I would love to meet you. Six months from now, you're like, you know what? I listened to that episode on the Entre MD podcast, and for the first time, I set a revenue goal for my business. And Dr. Una, you will not believe it, and I will tell you. Of course I believe it. Come on, tell me. Tell me. I want to hear about it. Right? And you go on to share with me whatever your goal is, whether you're starting, you're growing, you're scaling. Doesn't matter. Set a goal, go after it. Make it happen. You did that to become a doctor, and you can do that again. Okay. All right, well, there you have it. Now remember, you are part of the entremd movement. This is the movement that disrupts the healthcare space. So do not keep this episode to yourself. All right? Share it, and I will see you on the next episode of the entremd podcast.
