I think a well-informed patient is the best patient. I think the biggest access point to cosmetic dentistry is just getting well-informed. I always tell patients when they come in, there really isn't any pressure. This is just an information gathering session. It's trying to give you all the information you need to make the best decision for yourself. So I think a well-informed patient is the best patient. Finding a provider that you're comfortable with is super important as well. Then when a patient comes in, we'll assess what their needs are, will assess what their goals are, and really assess to see what we can do for them to meet those goals. We look at everything from not just a beauty perspective, but from a health perspective. There's no way to untangle those two. They're intricately connected. And oftentimes creating a healthy smile will just naturally create a beautiful smile. So we look and see, is it mostly aesthetics that bothers a patient or is it something else? So we really try to look at the smile holistically. Taking into account facial proportions, their facial features, and seeing how we can accentuate their face and facial beauty and overall health by restoring their smile.
