Someone followed the hustle culture playbook, working extreme hours until they burned out, lost money, and ended up on food stamps. The real problem wasn't external circumstances but their own expectations and mindset about what hard work should look like.
But everybody around you basically is in the same situation. Maybe they have a couple years more experience in it. But nobody else knows that it's not the problem either, because they're all trying to do the same thing, right? So how.
Did you wake up to, wow, that's not the problem, and. And discover that it was internal for you? Like.
So I was doing what everybody told. Like, I figured, okay, I. I need to take other people's advice because I don't know what I'm doing. But all their advice was, was work as hard as you possibly can. So I was young, full of energy. I could do that, right? I mean, I could work those crazy hours. I could work nights. I could stay up for several days in a row. I could do all of that stuff. And that was the approach. And the problem was that over a period of time, that approach started wearing me down. I was getting tired, I was getting irritated. It wasn't fixing anything. Things were continuing to get worse, right? So now we're on food stamps, Literally, we're living in a bad neighborhood.
