A therapist argues that therapy isn't essential if we taught kids how their minds actually work. Teaching psychoeducation early could prevent anxiety and anger from developing in the first place, making therapy less necessary.

I'm a therapist who doesn't believe in therapy. I think. I don't think the world needs therapy, even though it can be useful sometimes, and hopefully it is useful, but the world doesn't need therapy. What the world could benefit more from is psycho education. I think if we were. If we were taught really fundamental things about the way, the way our minds worked when we were younger, we wouldn't develop problems. But we aren't taught these really fundamental things when we were younger. So we go on to develop these problems, like anx or anger and all those other things. And therapy seeks to resolve those issues. And it's sometimes effective, sometimes not, depending on the effectiveness of the therapist and the receptiveness of the client. But if we had psychoeducation, then those issues wouldn't even exist in the first place.
