Coaches create safe spaces where people can experiment without judgment or parental pressure. A coach's outside perspective helps reveal constraints you can't see from inside them, like a fish that doesn't know what water is.
And they start to feel a little safer. They start to feel a little bit more comfortable experimenting because they don't feel so threatened that I'm going to tell them how to think or feel or that the other parent is going to talk them out of something that means the world to them.
I think one of the biggest things we can do as coaches because as coach you come in, we come in, right? And we do coaching in different arenas. So but coaching is really about having a perspective that the other doesn't. You know that one of the things I say is you can't ask a fish what water is like because they have no, they have no way of discerning not water, right? That's the world. They've.
Never seen water from land.
Right? So we come in as the bird's eye view and go, hey, there's a fish, there's water, there's all this stuff.
