So do you have something that inspires you as you write? It's like the compulsion to write is this must come out. Here's this story, or here's this thing. Is there anything that particularly inspires you? Like, oh, dang. That's like, yeah, I gotta write about this. Or, you know what? I'm in my happy place. Of course I'm gonna write.
It's interesting. I tend to not write at all, as in zero writing, until something just gets me going. Whether that's intellectually or spiritually or socially. Something has to move me, and I can't tell you it's one particular thing. Like with Honor Killing, it was a new story. With both of those children's plays, I'm living through a pandemic. All the obvious reasons for wanting to contribute something positive compelled me. Me.
