If I own a soda company, should I bid for the word Coca Cola? So when people search Coca Cola shops that you show up under that, you have an ad. If you're trying to compete with a brand like Coca Cola, I'm going to tell you all day long, absolutely do not waste your time on it. But if you're a small business trying to compete with another small business, then it could absolutely make sense to bid on their brand's keywords.
