Dylan Vanas spent four years in restaurants, including at a Thai place, working 10-hour shifts as a busboy. He says the intensity and hustle built his work ethic and character so much that he wants his kids to start their first jobs there too.
So I worked in restaurants for like four years. I actually worked in a Thai restaurant for a period of time. You learn to work really hard in restaurants because you're working in some cases like a 10 hour shift. I was a busboy, but I was a busboy that worked so hard that patrons would tip me. They'd see me in the bathroom, I'd be like wiping things down. They would come and they'd hand me like a 20 or 50 or $100 bill because they admired the work. And you get a really good work ethic. And when I'm older and have kids, they're going to get their first job in a restaurant because it's good character building.
