Short motivational monologue (YouTube video) arguing that challenging social norms and pursuing personal growth often attracts criticism and ‘hate’ from close relations (family, friends, commenters). The speaker recounts outgrowing friend groups and receiving snide comments (e.g., about appearance) but urges listeners to ignore detractors and continue toward their goals because impact matters.

Anytime you try to challenge the norms in life, you're going to get hit with hate, whether it's from your mom, your cousin, or even your friend. Just know that if you're going to try to do something great in your life, that's going to happen. I've outgrown friend groups multiple times in my life where the people that I was friends with, that were my best friends, they couldn't hang anymore. What I was doing was not operating at a level that they were at, not saying I'm better than them, I just moved on to other stuff. But the thing is, these people, they come in with the little comments, the snide things. Even the commenters in my videos, they call me that. They call me this, that. Why do you dye your hair white? Whatever it is, I don't care. Keep pushing forward. Because it's not about them. It's about the impact that you will have by going down the path of least resistance or more resistance and actually moving towards your ultimate goal.
