There's a new kind of toxic work culture, the remote working culture, where everyone wants to work from home. I get it. I can play video games. I can take my calls on the toilet. I can eat snacks, go to the fridge ten times a day. I used to have this thing called flex days, a benefit we used to implement in the company. You can work from home if you want, or from the office if you want. You get two of them a week. What that turned into is people started relaxing and doing nothing. If you give people the freedom to do that stuff, it's going to turn negative really quickly. If you have a job where you can work from home 100% of the time, you're lucky and hold on to that job. But if you're an employer, don't start that.
