A short excerpt from a YouTube video in which two speakers discuss personal financial regrets. One speaker expresses regret over carrying substantial debt from multiple degrees; the other criticizes the traditional higher-education system for encouraging costly degrees that do not guarantee sufficient income, calling the situation heartbreaking.
What's your biggest financial regret?
The amount of debt I'm in because I got several degrees.
Do you know your credit score?
I'm not sharing it with you. Come on.
Yeah, all right.
But it's good. What I'm more concerned about is my debt to income ratio.
This is literally heartbreaking. Someone is doing what they think is the right thing to do. They're going. They're following what the system told them to do. And now her biggest stress in life is literally the fact that she has all this debt from her degrees. People are starting to realize and catch on that the old system is completely broken. You're going to go spend a fortune to be able to get some piece of paper and you're going to hope that it's going to make you income. It's not. There's much better ways to do this in the modern world. And to see this literally breaks my heart that she did what she was told to do and now she's in a terrible situation.
