About 10 years ago, I was dead broke. My business had just failed. I had no source of income. And I went up to visit with one of my mentors for a week. He took me around to his real estate investments, the businesses he ran. And I was like, holy crap, this guy is legit. Doing things at the highest level. I was like, brian, like, if you look at my life, what's the thing that I'm doing wrong? That if you think I change, could actually have me start seeing some success? He said, dylan, you're chasing money, you're chasing success. The real thing in business you need to chase is value. How can you add value to the marketplace? I took that to heart. And so I shifted my entire business. I started going out and actually finding ways where I can serve people and add a ton of value and not even have to worry about the money. Because if you add value, you build a good product, you make a good company. The income, the revenue, that will all come after. But that should come second to building a good product and helping serve your customers.
