Sales guys, if you are uncomfortable on your sales call, your prospect is also uncomfortable. Nervousness, physical discomfort, lack of knowledge or confidence in your solution will kill your deals. Your prospect's gonna smell it like a shark smells blood in water. Lucky for you, in the next 15 seconds, I'm gonna give you 3 tips to help you eliminate this altogether. 1, become input dependent. Stop focusing on metrics that you do not have 100% control over, like close rate. Instead, focus on something like how many calls you take per day. The more calls you take, the sharper your blade will get. 2, repetition. The only thing that can make you worse at sales is if you stop selling. So because it's a compounding skill, the longer you do it, the more efficient and effective you will become. 3, be pleasant. Not talking some crazy sunshine and rainbows sales guy pleasant, okay? If you can show that you're competent and that you're caring, most times that energy will be reciprocated by your prospect. Look, you take these calls for a living. Your prospect has likely never been on one of these calls and will likely never be on this call again. So you are the professional in this situation. There's no reason for you to be uncomfortable on your own sales call. Message of the day number 2, get comfortable on your sales calls.
