Here's legit proof that your life can 180 in under 90 days

Dylan Vergara ran a sub-1:35 half-marathon while building a remote sales community where people like Chris, Rita, and Dalton landed high-earning 1099 jobs in 90 days. He shares how running fueled his sales performance and how his community's progress audits help applicants build pipelines and close deals.

6 AM Sunday morning. Today we have a long run. Austin International Half Marathon. If you're new here, every Thursday is an educational video deep dive to help you land a remote sales job, 1099 remote sales job. Every Sunday, it will still help you do that, but I will also talk about things like this, a little bit behind the scenes lifestyle, building business Helping people get remote sales jobs and just documenting the whole thing. My goal is sub 1:35, which is less than a 7:15 mile.
Hardware spins.
Honestly, I surprised myself big time. I averaged a 6:57 mile, which I had never even done before for a 10K, which is 6.2 miles. Almost perfect weather, good energy on the course. I put in the headphones, uh, a little after halfway through just to lock in. I found this playlist on Spotify called The Hardest Rock Songs Ever. Towards the end specifically, song Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, and then it kept auto-playing Aerosmith, but that's like flow state song. For me, so I put that on. Uh, also did negative split, which if you guys don't know what that is, it's where you basically end the race faster than you started, which signifies you either didn't go hard enough or you manage your energy properly to where you didn't just crash. Because a lot of people, they start fast and then end slow. Everything felt good. Quads are a little sore given it was a downhill race, but I'm, I'm so glad to be back running, man. If you guys don't know, in 2025 I had like 3 EKGs done, which is basically assessing if you're having a heart attack or not. Uh, in December I took 3 weeks off of running because I had another episode of this kind of thing. And I found out that it was costochondritis, basically tightening of the back. I'm not gonna get into all of it right now, but ribs radiate pain to your front. Your nervous system thinks it's heart pain, freaks out, goes to your head, your chest, your arm, everything. And it's scary. It's not something you wanna push. You're probably watching this, you're in sales or you're in business. And I found that having an outlet so easy, so accessible as running, that is so simple to measure improvement, has drastically helped me be a better business person, be a better performer. There's a physical side of it, but there's a massive mental side of it. Overall, I'm not saying you need to be a runner, but having some sort of outlet that is not sales or business has helped me a ton get better at sales and business. Like, I have some of my best ideas When I'm in the middle of a run that I didn't even want to do in the first place. Good morning, guys and girls. Coffee chat. We might be back, man. Track workout this morning with the boy Sean, aka Tech Sales Hacks. This morning before the workout, I queued up the Because of Sales newsletter. I don't really talk about what it is so much on this channel, but it's my other business aside from the community that I run. And today, third link in the description. Salespeople talking about fake urgency, whether it's good or not. Spray and pray cold outreach is gone, but there's a new method. This article of a gay sales manager suing the Pittsburgh Steelers, a little bit outside the box. How to do cold outreach for a sales role you really want. How to navigate being assigned a poor territory. 3 sales analogies that this gentleman used to outsell 99% of reps. Why enterprise sales is all iMessage 2026. Why the best sales rep on your team might be holding you back and a way to make payroll for your sales team easier. We're pulling stuff from across the internet, sending it to you, less than a 5-minute read. This week's sponsor was Deal, huge company if you've never heard of them. So we're getting bigger and bigger logos, which is great. The article was about proper attire for remote salespeople as I record this in a hoodie and trucker hat. Also update, Marathon Mindset Meetup. I'm speaking at this event and they added some more speakers, some pretty big names in the space. So I'm gonna pop it up on the screen here. As it stands, the current speakers panels. You are interested in the high-ticket space, or you live in Austin, you want to get connected to remote sales reps, I don't think there's a better place for you to be. Uh, now it is on Valentine's Day, you're gonna have to sell the old lady. I already had to do that. It'll definitely be worth it if you can get down. I was talking on a live call with a community member, Chris. Shout out Chris. No sales background but went straight to closing. He was okay, ended up getting better. He should do $20K this month and it's like 4th month in closing. And he said that when he came to our meetup, so when I— the one that we host in September, he came, he shook hands with his now sales manager, and he was like, it's everything, like meeting people in person. So try to do that. Another note, today I have all the community calls, small group calls, and one of them is our progress audit call. On this call, we jump in and look at application tracking sheets, and we typically are evaluating like if they got a role, cool, let's look at it, make sure it's quality. They have offers, they're late-stage interviews. Let's do some due diligence. But on the flip side of that, if they don't have anything, we're gonna look at the application tracking sheet and see why. And it's usually, there's only a few reasons why they wouldn't have anything positive working, which is not the point of this video. Anyways, I have Rita, who's a pretty new community member. I actually worked with him back in 2023. I think it was to review some calls. Since then, he's just been in the space, tried a few other things. Still in the closing game. He's a young dude, but he just posted in our community $1,600 day on a pretty brand new offer. And so he has the progress audit call with us today, but he's already posting wins about $1,600 commission day. Spoiler: there's a few other community members on this team. Pretty high performing team. Setters and closers both from the community.
So show him a wheelie, man.
The other boys in the pocket right now trying.
Trying to close the deal. It's like 40 minutes deep. Hopefully he comes out with a closer. We're gonna, we're gonna have to get him. Close it or what?
Nah, dude, this is actually the unfortunate reality of being a closer, and this is not a joke. This dude, he wants to buy. His dad has cancer. Yeah, it makes it extremely hard to be like, yeah, what's the cost of an Action here. He's paying for his dad's stuff.
Rate the bikes in the comments. We got this one with one pedal. We got this one that's so Chinese.
My back wheel's broken. No, it does wheelies though. No light.
Wait, hold on, is it flickering right now? No, if the light flickers— and we got this one, man. Describe your bike.
It's some little chill shit, man. I don't know that I really put it together correctly.
Double battery, that's double distance.
I had an ACH clear today. That counts as a close. We made money. We rode the bikes with the bros. Now we eating the boba.
We're living. Night mode. Yeah, I think the only thing you zoomed it in on was like that weird feature. Zoom it out.
Y'all check this out. Pet of the month, man. Winners win. I'm gonna put you on some game right now. I was at, um, coffee shop this morning on my way back from the cardiologist. All is good. And I see my guy Diego, who works with me. The community is running behind on calls, onboarding someone, running late for the next call. So I just called the guy that he was supposed to be talking to, chat with him for like 10 minutes. Sometimes I like to do that, but I wanted to emphasize, uh, Something to you guys. A potential strategy that could work in your favor. You're watching this on YouTube. You may have seen my guy Diego in the last clips. He handles like a lot of the front-end stuff, a lot of the front-end calls. If you're not running your own thing, trying to somehow incorporate yourself into the person's content or material so that when they get on a call with someone who is not the face of the brand, there's a little bit of like Trust and authority and like, oh, I've seen you, some familiarity, which I think goes a long way. And so you guys have seen Diego in some of my content, but a lot of times people get on calls with him and they're like, dude, I follow you on Instagram. He doesn't even like post all that much. He posts some, but like, dude, I already follow you on Instagram. Like, you guys crush it. Try to get into the founder's content, the business's content, so there's some already built-up trust. If you're a business owner, try to incorporate your team into this. Even before Diego was on my team, I had a guy named Jake who I'm now partners with on Because of Sales stuff. And we do the same thing. I'd glorify Jake so that when people meet with Jake, they're like, hell yeah, I'm meeting with Jake. There's a flip side of that where people think they're going to meet with me, but then it's somebody else and then they're upset. You don't want that. Don't lie to people and say they're going to be meeting with someone that they're not. If you guys have ever opted into any of my stuff, there's a chance you're on my newsletter. I write it once a week on a good week, sometimes twice a week. Sometimes once every other week, and it's things that happen in my life as a business owner running the business that I do and tying it back to a lot of times how you can get a remote sales job. Today I sent one subject line: No more antifreeze hot dog mornings. What the fuck does that mean? You're gonna have to subscribe to find out. I think it's the first link or the second link in the description down below. My personal newsletter. I really like writing emails. This one got a lot of good feedback, a lot of replies. So get on that, y'all.
I've been in the community for almost 2 months, man, and I've been slow.
So we'll see, man.
But I, again, I want to appreciate you just doing this for people. It's awesome and changes people's lives and it works. And I'm excited. Obviously, I look at, I look at the people that were in Austin that I met, and that's awesome how their lives are already, they're changing. And that was like, what, 3 months ago?
Maybe?
It was like, it was last month. Yeah, it was like—
Now it's November?
December? Second week of December.
Or first week.
It can happen fast, dude. Dalton crushed it, man, and he landed on a great team. But it's literally just the connections, dude. You get in, so obviously, you know, I'm in your corner here, but then you meet, you know, you get on one good team and then you like meet the sales manager, you meet the other people on that team, and then you have like this safety net of like people that like you would refer you.
And it—
the first one's the hardest, always. And then once you start to be known It's just easier. Like, I would even say Dalton is to that point now. He's proven himself on this team to where if that team shut down and he needed something tomorrow, he could get it. It's the Friday wrap-up. We are going to San Antonio for the homie's gender reveal party tomorrow. We're getting a winter storm that could shut down the state of Texas. That should be fun. See if Susan's around here. Another method, uh, get into remote sales, start a community. Help other people land remote sales jobs. Make them so good that they move to Austin, Texas. Live in your building and can dog sit your dog. Shout out Susong. That's not a success story case study. I don't know what is, man. I got free dog sitter. Like he gets remote sales job. I get a free dog sitter. I told him I'd buy him a meal. Recurring theme, man. We got a lot of guys that moved down here to Austin after. They got into the remote sales stuff. Three of them live in this building with me. The scene is jumping.
What's going on, YouTube?
This is ridiculous.
Look at Bug.
Watch this.
I got you.
Look at Bug.
Is he at? Where is he at? Where is he?
We stealing all the info and we growth operating.
Hi, bro.
Shit, what you up to?
We just got back. We were checking on basically just looking through all your shit.
And is that is that what was happening?
There was a truck.
Don't cuss on the vlog.
Bro, you shook that up.
No idea this lighting is going to be terrible or okay. Last night, a little poker night with the fellas. I was up money, then I lost money, but it's cool. We had a good time, watched some of the UFC fights. We watched that one dude climb the tower in Taipei, and, uh, honestly, that was my first time playing poker in like 15 years. Not too bad. It's like relearning the rules. But this morning I wake up to a message and it reads, yo Dylan, hope you didn't doubt me. I did it, G. Interview at the mansion on the 15th. This is for a community member Dalton who also lives in, uh, Austin here. Younger dude, moved here not too long ago, was in tech sales as an SDR. He's Crushing it, but not making the money that he wanted. Last month he committed to, or maybe it was early this month, he committed to leaving that and going all in with the appointment setting stuff. And I'm trying to find the timeline. Got it right here. Dalton joined our community on October 5th, October 5th of 2025. Last month he did $7K and that was like more than he was doing in corporate. So he was like, I might as well go all in and then went all in this month. Did $10K. But if this month is January, last month was December. Let's pretend he did zero in November. October, he joined us. November, I think he was on this team, but let's just pretend it's zero. December, did $7K. A little bit of a sales background, young dude, ROI'd on the community involvement in less than 60 days. And now he's doing exactly what he wanted to do. He's in a position of more leverage, more control over his schedule, meeting cool people, potentially gonna get moved up to closer here very soon. It's all because he stumbled across our stuff at some point, decided to give it a shot. Now Dalton is a hustler. He's a sharp dude. He's present. He shows up to our live calls. He came to our dinner that we hosted here in Austin, Texas, met a bunch of the guys. He will be at the event that we're doing in February, but it's through the 13th to 15th weekend. Dalton will be there. I'll be there. A lot of other people will be there. I'm actually going to be putting together an Airbnb for the guys from our community that come down. So if you join us before then, You want to come, do so quickly. Yeah, man, a lot can happen in 60 days. And in 90 days, $10K per month can happen if you're Dalton. He's a pretty driven guy like myself. So he's kind of looking at like, what's the next thing? How do I do better? What's more leverage? But then he got exposure to these guys that are doing $10K, $20K, $30K per month closing, clocking out at the end of the day. Even I think his sales manager had $100,000 a month managing multiple teams. He's just like, yeah, I'm going to do this for a bit. I don't need to do anything else. I'm gonna do this for a bit. I think there's some good opportunity here. So shout out Dalton. We'll be filming an in-person interview to break down A through Z how he did it, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Yeah, man, 60 to 90 days. You could be 60 to 90 days away from leaving the corporate job in a better vehicle, in somewhere where you're making a remote income with contractor benefits. Or in 60 to 90 days, you can be in the same exact spot that you're in now. A lot can happen, but it won't happen unless you make it happen. So if you're interested in doing what Dalton did and meeting guys like Dalton, like Chris, like myself, like Mauricio— I didn't even mention, I, I believe he manages Dalton's team. He's a community member, did $19.8 last month, should do $20 this month. Used to sell door-to-door solar. Go down to that first link in the description. I'm not going to promise you anything, not going to guarantee you anything. A lot of other people will, and if that's what you feel like you need to get any certain type of result, then go work with them. We just show you what people are doing from the inside and prove to you that should you put in the work and believe in yourself, that it would be unreasonable for you not to make something decent happen. I won't say too much, but I had a recent friend start to sell for a competitor that posts jobs and stuff in the high-ticket space. And he's like, dude, your stuff is so much more dialed than this. We're in it for the long haul, man. We know that our reputation is based on you coming and getting what you are expecting. If you're interested, first link down below. Click it, watch the video, book a call. Talk to my guy Diego who won a lot of money last night in poker, who also bet a lot of money, but he won it back at the very end. That's it for this video, you guys. Thank you for watching.
