I want to hear how the mic works too. That's a pretty warm bike. Um, I just want to see like how the camera works in different settings. So I keep running on this new trail by this super scenic looking road, and I was like, I want to figure out where that is. It's kind of like a back road where We're getting there right now. And I was like, it's a good opportunity to test the new camera, go find this back road, and do all that in one thing. And so that's what we're doing. That's the trail, this is the road, and there's never any cars on it. But the trail goes right there. There's the trail up there. Beautiful morning here. Got 20 minutes until open floor community live call. In the meantime, sipping— is it gonna focus? There we go. Sipping on a drink, coffee, in here. Was that the dog park earlier? And called and locked in the boats for the event. So we're gonna have 2 50-person boats with slides, food catered, a lot of other fun stuff tied together in Lake Travis with 100 sales bros. Did I mention there's slides on the boat? Really what I'm trying to do is, uh, get like 2 or 3 of the biggest venues locked in at the times that we want and then get all the little stuff situated and then we're gonna launch the tickets. Already have probably like 20 people asking me like, hey, when are the tickets? It's September 26th, 27th. I know you have to book flights. The earlier you do it, the better. September 26th, 27th for sure. Just the itinerary still getting ironed out. Dude, I've been sitting here waiting for this pan to heat up, and I realized we just moved in here. I realized the knob was in the opposite direction, so instead of hot, it was cool. I've been waiting for like 10 minutes. Anyways, there we go. Can you see that? $17K PIF paid in full. Paid his mortgage. See that bottom line? Paid my mortgage with one close. Imagine that, man. Imagine that. That could be you if you have a mortgage. To make $20,000, $30,000 a month in sales, you can take the best sales rep ever, they're not going to be able to do that everywhere, you know? Like, it, it does take the credentials to be built up to even get in that role, and We got Bug a new toy for her bed. This is her bed. I don't know if she likes it very much. Dose number 2. Next 2 and a half hours, I am re-recording course material. What I'm recording right now is all the ways you can find high-ticket sales jobs outside of the community. How to do it on Facebook, Instagram, Meta Ads Library, community platforms, newsletters, X, LinkedIn, search engines, Programs, agencies, events, local, TikTok, coworkers, recruiters, cold email, automations, meetups, referrals, and hiring platforms. Or you could just go to our hiring channel where we shared 262 jobs last month where the average on-target earnings was $15,000. It's up to you. But just because you do have access to the hiring channel doesn't mean you shouldn't know how to do this yourself. Speaking of not doing this yourself, shout out to my guy Paul.
Paul H.
Literally joined the community while I was getting ready to come over here. So he joined lifetime. I don't know much about his background. Haven't met him yet. He came from YouTube. So you guys are watching this on YouTube. What a coincidence! Shout out to you, Paul. Wrong answers only in the comments. Tell me what it looks like I do for a living because of sales pod going down.
Radio room, baby. You know where we at. Yeah, I'll send the custom link. So I sent them the customized payment link, and I went ahead and put an extra month of support on it. It's twenty k, and if they want to knock it out all at once, they can just use that. But if you need to split split it up for both of them. You can just use the discount code for each of the $11,900 links. So just let me know if you need me and I'll be free in about an hour and a half. Let me know. I'll hit you in Slack.
Bye. Because of the sales moment.
That's right.
$20K?
Yeah. So my offer, we help product managers that are in the tech space land their next role. So imagine if someone wants to go from like PayPal to Meta. Oh yeah. If someone wants to go from PayPal to Meta or they want to go from like a small startup to Google. We help them with that process and it's an extensive process and not a lot of people can do it on their own. So we have a $12,000 program and we help them and we just got a guy and his wife up and running at the same time. So we gave them a little bit of a discount and we're going to change their lives. And that's the beautiful part about sales, whether you're in the high-ticket space or you're in tech sales or whatever industry, just get behind something that you can really put your name on. I think that I don't have the best reframes. I'm not the best sales trainer in the world. But what I do know is that I align myself with offers and companies that I have full conviction on. And so I don't have to really do the dance as much. Obviously I can—
Still dance.
I can still dance, right? You know, but it's really just about conviction-based selling. And if you believe in what you sell, then it's kind of like the friend who says, oh man, you got to go to Terry Black's, dude. You got to go to Terry Black's. It's conviction, right? So this offer I have a lot of conviction on because I see the results that we're getting for these people every single day. And because of sales, we're changing their life, and that in turn changes my life. And so I help people invest into life-changing programs, and therefore it changes my life because of sales, baby.
That's the method. We got Josh in the sauna.
$20K contract, baby. All right, all right, ready?
These are cold, dude. Yeah.
Oh my goodness. Yeah, they're I'm in control.
Breathe, don't talk, just breathe. This is painfully cold.
I'm ready to get out now.
This is actually painful. I've done cold plunges before, this one hurts.
This one really hurts. It's all just your mindset, baby.
Yeah, I'm done.
I'm done. I'm done.
This one hurts.
I'm glad you said you're done.
I can run 240.
I thought I did 3 miles, but I did 24 seconds.
Yeah, sometimes you go a lot, uh, less far than you think as well. That's part of it.
You can go a lot less far than you think sometimes.
A slow Saturday morning. Went out with the boys last night, uh, met a friend who I haven't seen in like 4 or 5 years. Works at a bar downtown, so we went down, saw him, had a good time. This morning, a latte that's not so good. Some Session. If you know, you know. It's like Skate 3, but when Skate 3 gets too easy, you play Session. I'm gonna hit some clips for you guys, and I'm gonna talk about something that I was talking to community people about yesterday that I'm thinking about right now. Imagine this. Imagine a world where there's a job posting out there.
Thank you.
Be quiet. So imagine a world where there's a great job posting out there, closing role. There's going to be 50 applicants. For the sake of the scenario, you're not the best, you're not the worst. Don't even think about that right now. What's the very first thing that would determine how likely you are to proceed to the next step of the hiring funnel? It is literally how fast you find this job and submit an application relative to the other 50 applicants, 49 applicants, because if you're number 15 or beyond, your chances are going way down. Maybe 20, 25, and beyond. That right there does not require you to have sold anything crazy, does not require you to have any sales experience. To be one of the fastest applicants solely requires you to be connected to the right people, be in the right groups. There's a few ways you can do that. The next thing— the first thing is just Full effort based. You're either faster or not. Sales experience doesn't matter at that point. The next thing, the quality of your application. Another full effort based thing. Sales experience doesn't matter here. And if you have a ton of sales experience but you half-ass, you are you're doing yourself a huge disservice. And unfortunately, a lot of people in this industry like to half-ass this part. The quality of the application, that is any written submissions. That is how thorough they are, meaning do you give them everything they ask for? The resume, does it look good? The Loom video, does it look good? There's someone in my community, shout out Angel, has like a professional-grade YouTuber setup that he uses for sales calls and interviews, and he has such a high hit rate on getting to the next step of the process because of that. Now he has sales experience, he's done $15K in a month. I can link that video towards the end of this one. You can see his setup. You can Hear the interview that we did. But before he even opens his mouth, when he's just one in a sea of many, one in a sea of 49 applicants, he's got the best Loom video visually, and he's practiced on how to, uh, narrate that, we'll say. And he came through the community, so I'd assume he has a decent resume. Up until this point, all effort-based. We're seeing personality, we're seeing awareness, we're seeing attention to detail, we're seeing someone's ability to follow instructions. Yeah, sales experience is sprinkled in there for sure, but we're not even there yet. Then we get into the interview. You guys would be so surprised how flexible these companies are willing to be for the right person, because maybe you're not the most experienced in sales, but maybe you just have a 10x more enjoyable personality than the person who is experienced in sales. Maybe you haven't sold millions and millions of dollars, but You know how to answer questions in a confident and direct way that makes the interviewer believe that you are capable of doing that in a sales conversation. Now this one takes a little bit more practice. Like interviewing is a skill. Asking the right questions is a skill. You don't just wake up and know how to do that. But is that a skill that requires years in a sales role? No, it's not. Not to mention multiple rounds of interviews. There could be group interviews. You could be interviewing with a sales manager, a business owner, a recruiter, all of the above. So up until this point, from a job being posted, an open role being advertised, to through an interview process, like 80% of these things are coming down to effort, personality traits, and just putting your best foot forward and doing it faster than other people. The bar is so damn low in this industry. And I always say this as well to people in the community, but There's 2 versions of yourself if you have some sales experience or you have some customer-facing experience. There's a version of you that comes into this industry and thinks that you are a closer and you should only be a closer. And there's a version of you that comes into this industry and thinks that you are an appointment setter and that you should only be an appointment setter. And both of those versions of yourself will be correct if you just execute in the right direction. The way that you carry yourself, the jobs you apply to, the way you speak about Your past experience and your ability, or the confidence in your ability to get the result that they're hiring for, 100% determines where you end up in this industry. So yes, does it help to be able to put $5 million closed on a resume, to be able to say that in a Loom video? Absolutely. But if I have someone with $5 million closed come into my hiring funnel, they don't link a resume because they don't have a good one. Their Loom video, they don't even answer the question that I tell them to answer. They don't pay attention. They applied late, so I might not even see it altogether. It's all about stacking the odds in your favor. And that's really what we focus on in the community, because everyone else is focused on doing 50 hours of sales roleplay before they get some arbitrary certification that allows them to go apply to jobs. But in the eyes of the people hiring, they have no idea what that certification is, and they do not care. You are wasting your time if you're doing that. Now, does it help to have sales training? Yeah, 100%. But sales training doesn't get you hired. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the session edit. Going on a boat for the boy Delaney's 30th birthday. Guy's getting up there. Delaney's a dude who I had on the Because of Sales newsletter podcast. Does really well with his business in the job stacking niche. He took his income from $80K to $390K in one year stacking jobs. Now he offers a service helping other people do that. Uh, he's been doing 6 figures a month for some time now. So probably not gonna take the camera, might take some iPhone clips and go from there. In the booth once again. It's 5 PM. I'm editing the Sunday video. Crashed out because I ran 10 miles and it started raining and it was cold and I got soaked for like the last 4 miles. Pretty much this week I've spent a lot of time honestly just refilming course material for the community because we're moving to a new platform. I feel like I've been saying that for a while, but it's a lot of work to refilm all the course material, especially with the stuff that I wanted to add. It's a little bit more than the first time. I still want it to be, you know, quality. I want it to be even better than the first time. And just maintaining everything we got. Fair amount of time going into the Because of Sales stuff. So social media, newsletter, podcasts. Recorded a lot of podcasts last week. I did at least 3, maybe 4. But yeah, that's the raw reality. I don't want to speak too soon, but it's looking pretty hopeful that we have a couple of new community members tomorrow after some bank stuff gets situated, which is great. Which is a good sign that the content works. Shout out to you guys. We'll see how it comes out. Again, second week of the new style where it's just me taking around the camera, trying to nail it down. Let me know if you guys want to see anything else, and that'll be it. Quick ask of you guys, if you're not subscribed yet and you're interested in the high-ticket sales thing, or you're interested in starting scaling an online business, or just watching me do that, Go subscribe. There's also a lot of links in the description of this video. You should check those out. We got a link to apply to the community, link to join my personal newsletter, which is good. It's kind of like the YouTube but written. It's free. We got link to subscribe to the Because of Sales newsletter, which is also free. The last link might just be one to follow me. Anyways, thank you guys. Gonna get to work. Laptop here. Catch you in the next.
