So I'm the hot take on the sales training guy. Like, sales training doesn't get you hired. You can get some of the best jobs without ever having sales training, uh, in some cases, right? Some roles. But it's my own lived experience. When I was in roofing sales and I came to remote closing, I got disqualified from the interview for the job that I eventually landed. And what did I do to land it? Well, one, I had a good interview. I just hadn't been in the space yet. But then two, I followed up twice on the interview. Total effort-based thing. You don't have to have any kind of sales training to follow up twice. And because of that, I got the trial. On the trial, I proved myself, got the full-time offer, put in the notice at my roofing sales job, went all in. And now years later, I'm in a totally different state of life than I could have ever imagined. Um, so sure, be good at sales, but like, do the shit other people aren't willing to do and you'll get outcomes other people don't get. Pretty simple.
