For some people, buying a cool car is all about the external validation. It's for what they think is the female gaze. It's more so the male gaze. We're not going to talk about that one though. For me though, it's when I put my backpack on after I've been working on my laptop and I go into the parking garage and I see something like this, man, I can't help but have a little smile on my face. I can't help but be reminded that I am the guy capable of doing things that I never would have conceived as possible. And that's what it's all about for me. I think having these real-world manifestations of your effort, of all the hard hours, late nights and early mornings that you put up just helps you push, push, push. I would not recommend doing so at the expense of your own personal finances. By the time I bought this car, I could have bought it 10 times over in cash. Doesn't have to be the case for you. I like nice things, but I don't go overboard. Overall, it's been a good investment. Tell you what, man, the grind feels a lot better when you can unplug, walk outside, and be happy about the car that you're driving and be happy about the reality around you. This is just my own experience, but you guys let me know what you guys think.
