All right, y'all, we're back this time with fellow community member and agency owner Dan. Busy guy, had to fit him in. You can see he's driving in the car right now, um, but he managed to get here. So Dan, I appreciate you for taking a couple minutes out of your, your crazy schedule to stop by, say a couple words. I want to ask you overall, open floor, man, when I bring up the community, What comes to mind?
Yeah, I mean, look, I think when it comes to sales, yeah, there, there's a lot of, there's, there's a lot of things where having, having a community really comes in handy. I think number one, it's just the motivation factor, right? Like even when, even when like I wasn't really even looking for education or, you know, looking to like invest time and, and shift focus to like leveling up my sales processes. I would still hop into the community just to see the wins, just to see the people that were, you know, there talking about, talking about sales, like, see, you know, sharing funny memes. So I think that, that was kind of always the, the one of these underlying reasons why, um, you know, I've kind of gravitated back towards the community. Um, I think—
Cool.
From the education side of things, Um, you know, I think there's, there's some really good resources, but, but I think even more so, like, you know, I think for, for myself, like, I, you know, just so much shit going on in running an agency. It's like, look, like, I don't have time to go, you know, find, do the research and find answers all the time. Sometimes it's just a lot easier if I could ask a question and, you know, not, not feel like I'm asking this question into a ChatGPT or, you know, into the Twittersphere where, you know, you might get, you know, a response from somebody who doesn't know what they're talking about. Like, having, having you leading this community and curating it, uh, knowing that if I ask a question, you know, I'm gonna get, I'm gonna get some good, good responses and feedback. Um, yeah. I know I even dropped a sales recording in recently. I'm like, hey, like, what's the feedback here? Like, is there anything I can improve on? And yeah, man, like, I know you immediately Dropped like 5 or 6, you know, really key pieces of feedback. I think other, I think there were several other people in the community that, you know, provided other, other points that I've incorporated. So, um, so I think those have been some, you know, that's kind of the things that I'm thinking about, you know, when, when, when talking about your community.
Yeah. And I wanted to definitely have you on from the agency owner perspective, because obviously there's a lot of sales guys in here, majority sales guys. There are a few agency owners, more than a few. And I feel like, yeah, just having, having that perspective of like me as an individual in here, I've been on B2B stuff, I've been on B2C, I've like been setting closing, like just kind of seen it. There's also other people in here that are like, they're absolutely crushing the B2B space. And so just having, Like you said, I don't have to go to Google and hope I come across the right article or like something like that. Just go to the help channel. Like, guys, can you review the call? Guys, can you, how do you handle this objection? Um, it's super important as far as like saving you guys time. So I guess for like any words specifically to an agency owner who may be trying to scale a sales effort. Um, or maybe like you try to potentially bring on an appointment setter soon. What, what would you say to the agency owners who are considering hopping in here?
I think, I think it's a no-brainer. I mean, I think the value is, is truly there. Um, you know, I'm, I'm even, you know, at, at this point looking at, you know, certain done-with-you and done-for-you programs and yeah, I'm not gonna go into that blind. now I have a community that I can take these offers back to. Like I can go straight to you, Dylan, and be like, hey, you know, this guy says he's gonna get me X amount of leads on my calendar, you know, every month for this amount of money. And this is what the roadmap looks like. Is this, is this, is this too good to be true? Is this actually a good deal? So I think that, that's a really important aspect, I think, of running a business these days is having people that are in your corner that you can go to and, you know, get, get some real recommendations.
Yep.
Because, you know, you know, you're, you're, you're incentivized. I mean, you're, you know, you're, you're, you're like, you're on my side, right? It's like, it's, you know, your community. You want to see the people in this community do well. So you're going to give me, you know, unbiased opinion on this. And I think, you know, when it comes to sales, I mean, that's a huge aspect of any business. So, uh, I think having that, having that ability to get unbiased feedback is, you know, invaluable.
Yeah. And not, and not paying like an arm and a leg for it. Um, last thing, I, I feel like I should have brought this up to begin with, but just so people kind of have a, an understanding of like, The caliber of agency that you're running, like Dan doesn't run like a $5K a month, like first agency barely scraping off the ground. He's, he's doing pretty good for himself. Where, where do you see yourself like in the next 6 or so months, like with the agency?
Yeah. Yeah. So we're, we're at $50K a month, uh, monthly recurring. We have really good margins. Um, We have like 60% margins. So I think at this point, you know, what we're looking to do really on the sales side, because I'm, you know, my whole career has really just been focused on building systems. And right now our systems for delivery are pretty airtight. So our goal really is to double, double in size, you know, eclipse that $100K a month mark. And yeah, sales is going to be a big part of that. So that's why I knocked on your door recently. It's like, hey, like, I'm going to probably need an appointment center pretty soon. So having that conversation is going to be important. Just really just, you know, because right now I don't even do any outbound. That's something we kind of touched on.
Absolutely.
I don't do any outbound. And I think in order to achieve that goal, I'm going to have to start doing that. Um, full force. So that's it.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, even $50K without an appointment setter, it's like, it's pretty, pretty solid. So I'll, um, let's wrap it up here. Keep it short for the guys. If you're an agency owner, you can benefit from being inside, whether you need to get better at sales or you need to hire someone or you need, uh, to borrow a salesperson's ear, whatever it is. Sales is a key part of what you do. So get in here, meet guys like Dan, and, and grow your agency. So see you inside.
