Deavin, a former SaaS SDR, joined Dylan's $40/month community and landed a part-time closer role selling $5,000 e-commerce packages. He made $4,500 in month one while keeping his day job. He credits role-plays, scripts, and mentorship from 10-15 year veterans for the quick transition into high-ticket remote sales.

All right, y'all, on this one I got Mr. Deavin with me, uh, community member for, I wanna say a few months now. And this guy comes from a traditional sales background, actually SaaS background, uh, or software background. And, um, yeah, he came over, wanted to get into high-ticket sales. Here we are a couple months later. Deavin, can you, uh, Can you tell us a little bit about your journey so far?
For sure, man. So, um, like you said, I came from a tech sales background, uh, working as an SDR for a cybersecurity company, uh, came across, uh, remote sales, high-ticket sales, and really just did my due diligence on social media. Came across Dylan on Twitter and, uh, read a couple of his tweets, became intrigued and really just wanted to join to see, you know, what I can get into, what I can grab from it. Um, very cost-friendly, uh, community you can join, uh, compared to a lot of Communities out there that's charging, you know, a few hundred dollars, a few thousand dollars, um, just to join the community. Um, I think it's only like $40 a month right now. So, which is, um, really great for me. Just, I just really wanted to see what it's about. Um, as soon as I joined, um, there's a plethora of opportunities you can apply for. Um, lots of guys that have experience in this space that can, you can role-play with. Um, they drop their scripts you can read over. Um, and really just a lot of connections you can build within Um, the community as well, that people that been in this game for 10, 15 years. So, uh, the biggest thing for me has really just been the opportunities. I was able to, um, get a gig with an e-commerce, um, influencer. Uh, she sells like a $5,000 package. Um, within my first month with this gig, I made, uh, approximately $4,500. So that was really big for me. I made that on top of my SDR position that I have currently. So. That was huge for me. I didn't really know about this space, what an appointment setter or a closer was. In my field, you're either an SDR or an account executive. So just learning this different side of sales has been huge for me and just really just knowing you can make, you could 10 times your income being a closer or a setter. So it's really been helpful and beneficial to me for sure. Yeah.
And that's the thing, man. So many people do come here with that, the background that you have, and they don't even know it's a It's possible. And so especially when you're trying to navigate this like kind of underground, um, opportunity, like surround yourself with the right people is everything. I mean, you just said it yourself, the gig that you found just by being in here, like you were connected, got hired on month 1, $4,500, uh, part-time.
Right.
Part-time, bro. It, it doesn't get easier than that. Not saying it was easy, but for anyone watching this, This guy's one of the hardest workers in the group, so I don't wanna make it sound easy.
That's right, man. For sure. You gotta put the work in.
Yeah. I mean, he came in with a baseline skillset, opportunity presented himself, he was on it. Um, you, you'd think there's 8 days in a week the way I've seen this guy work. So, um, I guess for anyone, for anyone, and specifically let's go, let's go like tech sales background, anyone in tech sales who wants to, uh, you know, is considering the transition, maybe they're like, I don't know if I can go part-time, um, or I don't even think like it's real, it doesn't exist. Like, what do you say to that person?
Oh, I mean, I would say if you're a grinder, I know being in sales in general, you have to be, you know, a person that really wants to work hard if you really want to see results. And really, just let's be real here, everybody in sales wants to make a lot of money. So yeah, uh, really just prioritizing your time if you want to look into getting in this type of sales. Just make a, you know, have Have a really strict schedule on how you're going to get things done for one position. And then look where you have an extra amount of hours. So I get things done in a certain amount of time and I realize, hey, I have 2 to 3, 4 or 5 hours in my day that I literally have nothing to do. So that's the time you can spend to work on your new craft and work on being an efficient appointment setter, learn the skill of being a closer and really just apply, man. I would say when you apply to these roles, you want to do things that really stand out from the competition because a lot of these roles, a lot of people are applying to the same roles you are. So If you have the skills coming from a tech sales background, just really just showcase that and show how you add value to that company. And you know, the world is yours to take.
Yeah. Especially guys, if you come from like traditional sales, tech sales, real estate, medical sales, insurance, whatever, man, you can spin it in a way to where this will be very easy for you to get started. And from there, you get that first gig, the door opens. Next thing you know, you're, you're doing the $10K, the $20K months closing, right? It happens quick. So I appreciate you hopping in, man. I don't wanna take too much of your time.
Enjoy.
Uh, if you guys hop in, you're gonna meet this guy. You're gonna meet a lot of other guys with that, that tech sales background. Uh, so hope to see you soon.
