Why remote sales is a great opportunity in 2026

Dylan Vergara built seven-figure businesses after remote sales taught him perseverance and gave him control over his earnings. He argues sales is one of the fastest ways to wealth and self-improvement, second only to owning a business, and works for anyone willing to put in the work.

Why do you think remote sales is something that someone should still consider getting into in 2026?
I think back to like why I ended up in sales. Someone on paper is like, should not be in sales, but it was all the things that were on the other side of my own effort that I had more control over in a sales role. That is what led me into that position. I mean, firstly, it was how much money I could make. Like when I was young, I was like, that was priority number one. I graduated school. I was like, okay, I'm in the workforce. Like my job is to make as much money as possible as fast as possible. Within what's capable for me. Sales in like completely changed around my life, my perception of who I was, what I was capable of, the way that I interact with people. Like, sure, I'm financially in a better position because I took the leap into sales, but I also think that I am a super broad term, but like I am a more capable person that I've, I've been able to show myself that I can put my mind to something that even on paper shouldn't make sense, that doesn't make sense, and still get the outcome because I have the perseverance to do that. Dude, that's carried me through I mean, I've had in the past few years like multiple online businesses, B2C, B2B, that went past like 7 figures in revenue. And if I hadn't taken the step to get into sales to show myself that I can achieve these big scary goals despite what I might think, like there's a very slim chance that I became the business owner that was capable of doing those things. 100%. I always compare back to like group project days. If you guys, maybe you were this person, if you were the guy in the group project that always felt like you were pulling a lot of the weight and you kind of felt like you were held back, like you would do better on your own than you would in group setting. You're the type of person, regardless if you're an introvert like I was or what— like, dude, I used to smoke weed and skateboard all day, like the opposite of a salesperson, right? I just genuinely think like it's one of the best vehicles aside from business ownership where you can get paid to have control of your outcome in many different facets of life.
