Today I'm sharing a quick tip with you. This is part of the audio insights I publish for my private coaching clients every weekday, and I thought you'd find it helpful. So here we go. Hope you enjoy it.
I was doing an exercise the other day where I look back over the past three decades of my career to think through every major breakthrough that I.
Had in every big move I made.
Not only was this a fun trip down memory lane, but it also made me realize a few very important things. And one of these things is that nearly every breakthrough that's happened in my business, in my professional career, happened during.
A very challenging moment.
And in a few cases, they happened when I was desperate, when I was in a very tight spot and desperately.
Needed things to turn around.
And that got me thinking, you know, desperation can lead to some very powerful breakthroughs. I started asking myself why that was true. And the answer became clear very quickly. When you're in a very difficult situation.
You'Re willing to take more risks, you're.
Willing to get out of your comfort.
Zone, to go bigger, to be bolder.
Because you have to. You have nothing to lose, and you have to make things work. You need a miracle, and you're willing to stretch yourself much more than you normally would in order to succeed, in order to break through, in order to get to a better place, get out of that spot. So, I mean, think about it. Take a minute to think about some of your most difficult moments over the years.
How did you get out of them? What did you do?
What did you try? How did you act differently than you normally would have? I bet that in many cases you really push yourself beyond the norm. And either directly or indirectly, it was this mindset and set of deliberate focus actions that enabled you to get to a much better place. So look, when you find yourself in a very challenging phase of business, be.
Careful not to feel like a victim.
Be careful not to think that this is just bad luck and, you know, you shouldn't really be here and this is just unfortunate. Be careful not to act like this is happening to you, because the truth is, it's happening for you. It's an opportunity to stretch yourself, to.
Try new things, to be bolder, to try harder, to do the uncomfortable.
All those things will not only help you get the breakthrough you need, they will also make you better, stronger, smarter, more resilient. So as you reflect on the challenges you faced over the years and all.
The breakthroughs you've made, remember this.
These are not just chapters in your story.
They are the very essence of who you are. Remember and honor these experiences born out.
Of necessity, born out of desperation, because.
They'Re the ones that stick with you.
And will forever be a testament to your courage, resilience, and unwavering determination to.
Succeed against all odds.
