A hypnotist explains why one or two drinks is the sweet spot for hypnosis at parties, but anything more kills focus and balance. He stresses always asking how many drinks someone's had, because weed and MDMA throw off the whole thing.

Can you hypnotize a drunk person? Yes, I absolutely can. I'm not sure if I recommend it. So in my experience, because I've been to a lot of bars and parties hypnotizing people, the optimal amount of drinks for someone to be hypnotized is 1 to 2 drinks. Anything more than that and they're just gonna fall all over, they're not gonna be able to concentrate. But 1 to 2 drinks, it's really that sweet spot because they're very, very relaxed, they're able to enter that hypnotic zone easily. And so that's in my experience. When I am hypnotizing someone, I do always ask them, how drunk are you? How many drinks have you had? And I will not accept anything but the truth on that answer, because the truth is, when people are on different drugs, anything can happen. So I've seen that on alcohol, I've seen that on weed, I've seen that on MDMA. You just have to be careful with what you're dealing with as a hypnotist wherever you go.
