What people call manifestation is self-hypnosis, and actors are naturally good at it. Tom Holland said in 2013 he could see himself as Spider-Man before he got the role. The trick is emotion: visualize yourself in a high-stakes interview answering where you want to be in five years, and repeat it in the shower weekly or daily to rewire your brain.

In 2013, Tom Holland says, I could see myself playing as Spider-Man, and look at what happens. Now, the internet calls this manifestation, but as a hypnotist, I'll tell you what it actually is: self-hypnosis. Actors are so good at identity shift, which is self-hypnosis, because they have so much experience in those high-stakes settings, which are interviews. When the light is in your face, when the camera's in your face, the mic is in your face, you realize on a very subconscious level that everything you say has consequence and it is important. And so these are these little micro moments where actors will step into that reality with realizing how important what they're saying actually is. And this is the key ingredient of self-hypnosis. It's these high-stakes environments which let you feel more emotion, and the emotion is actually the secret ingredient here. And so the next time you're in the shower, I seriously want you to imagine that you're being interviewed. Like, close your eyes and imagine the lights, the camera, the mic all in your face, and this reporter asks you, where do you want to be in 5 years? And legitimately visualize yourself answering that question, and I guarantee you, your brain's gonna work in connecting different ways of thinking that you have never done before. If you do this every week, you'll be fine. But if you do this every day, you could legitimately manifest your dream life just like Tom Holland did.
