Hey, this is Dr. Torrey with another short video from ProductivityPearls.com you know, a lot of times you'll read about productivity and you'll see people focusing on goals, but at the same time, you'll hear about other people having reached their goals but being depressed or anxious or on edge or down or feeling unfulfilled. A lot of people reach their goals and feel unfulfilled. Why is that? It's because they were focusing on their goals. The goal is something that sort of gives you an idea of the direction in which to move, right? But the feeling of fulfillment, of having that optimum life or that optimal career or that optimal relationship, whatever it is, it is attained by movement towards the goal. And probably even beyond the goal, it's attained by growth. So what I'm recommending to you in this short video is to focus not on your goals, but to focus on growth. The path of reaching your goals is full of progress, little micro steps. Growth spurts right along the way as you grow towards goals and beyond them. The real happiness and fulfillment and presence with your world comes from progress. It comes from growth. So focus on the growth. Focus on that as you move forward. So ask yourself as you're about to engage in any task, whether it's sitting in a meeting, doing an email, or taking a step towards your goals. Hopefully it's not sitting in a meeting or doing an email if you're taking a step towards your goals. But whatever it is, whatever the next action is that you're about to take, ask yourself, how am I going to grow with this? And focus instead on the growth, not necessarily on the meeting or the email or that particular step. Accomplish those things with the best you and grow along the way. Growth is what will help you feel more fulfilled and achieve that life that you're looking for. Growth is what will help you achieve that relationship you're looking for. Growth is what will help you achieve the career or that wealth or whatever it is you're looking for, that spiritual fulfillment in growth. It's movement. So move. This is Dr. Torrey with Productivitypearls.com I'll see you in the next video.
