He went from $15K to $45K/Month with this Amazon FBA Strategy (in 2 Weeks)

Sherwin tripled his Amazon FBA sales to 75-80 units daily after Emanuel Ruiz restructured his PPC campaigns in two sessions. The changes took him from $15K to $45K monthly while keeping his time investment at two hours per month, letting him buy a house in Los Angeles.

Hey, how's it going guys? This is Emanuel Los Angeles, and I'm really excited to go ahead and do this interview because it is one of my first actual students when it comes to Amazon FBA. And Sherwin is a friend of mine back from high school, believe it or not. And, um, I'll let you guys go ahead and share his story, but this guy has gone from having a full-time job, starting Amazon FBA as a side business, and now ultimately has his house, has basically his dream life, and he kind of sees the potential of Amazon FBA and how it can actually change your life. And the crazy thing is that it only took one product for him. So without further ado, let me just go ahead and stop talking, but let me go ahead and bring on Sherwin on board here. Um, so Sherwin, um, let me, let me go ahead and move out the way. Like, can you just give the audience just a little intro about yourself, what you do, how we met? Um, floor is yours.
Yeah, yeah, definitely. Well, first and foremost, Emanuel, really appreciate you having me here on this interview. A little bit about myself. I'm from the same place Iman is from. We grew up in the same town, went to the same high school, had the same mutual friends, essentially had the same community around us. So different backgrounds, but same community. Little age difference, different grades, but ultimately we did, you know, mingle with each other, right? And have a connection, I think, out of high school.
So Sherwin and I got a little bit sidetracked talking about high school and where we went in life after high school and everything like that. But ultimately, um, we got back on track. So Sherwin launched his actual product in 2021. Um, and he said the reason why he launched it was because he started seeing some of my YouTube videos and how transparent I was with my brand at the time, Factory Lace, which I still own right now. Um, and it kind of inspired him to go ahead and start his own Amazon FBA business. And from 2021 and 2024, he did it all himself. And it wasn't until January of 2025 that he actually reached out because he felt like he hit a plateau in his actual business. Everything was going great, but he knew that he could unlock way more than that. So this is where we went ahead and, you know, segmented to.
Yeah. So I went from just to paint the picture, I was comfortable living a great life. I had a, you know, Great apartment. I have you know a great car. My son is well taken care of, and at that point I was selling 25 to 35 units a day, right? Which was enough for me to be sustainable, but I didn't. There was more that I wanted, right? So at that point I knew I needed to contact Eman. I've been you know stable for 20. I mean a whole year now selling 25 to 30 units, and if I needed to. elevate my life, I needed to elevate my business. And there was no other person to go to than the person who started this for me himself, right? Which was Iman. So I think I just went back to what, how we started, Iman. I mean, we probably didn't message each other for what, like 6 to 7 months at that point, maybe longer. Maybe every conversation we had was just, you know, liking our kids' pictures, right? But I went out and I was like, December, I was like, my rent's going to go up this year. I need to buy a house. Yeah. Simple as that, right? And the only way to buy a house was to increase my income, increase my leverage, right? And like Iman says, my business was my Bugatti. I had unlimited potential. I just needed to know how to press the gas on the brake, on the gas, right? Foot on the gas. I reached out to Iman. We made some tweaks. I had this overseas guy that was taking care of my PPC. Ultimately, he was a VA. I personally didn't know anything about PPC or anything about campaigns and managing campaigns. So I had full faith in my offshore person. Eman took one glance, took a look at what the guy was doing for the year and said, nope, this is incorrect. This is incorrect. This needs to be optimized. This needs to be off. This is going to benefit from you and this is what's hurting you. So I think it took 2 sessions, right? And then just within 2 weeks, I went from 25 to 35 units to 55 to 65 units, right? And it came to a point where just in 2 weeks I was selling more to a point where I needed to control my inventory, where I was having inventory issues, where it sounds crazy because it's a blessed thing if you think about it to have inventory issues. Most people have sales issues. Like my issue was I can't provide enough for my customers, right? And that was all because Iman hopped in Took 2.5 hours to look at my PPC, told me exactly where my campaigns were missing out on, how much I should focus on, on the campaigns that are providing correctly. And it was just more so the beneficial fact was not that you increased my sales, but it was more that he took the time to teach me PPC.
Yeah.
For me to learn the ins and outs of my business rather than someone just changing the numbers. Every change he made, he explained what he was doing, why he was doing it. And ultimately guiding me through it so he doesn't have to do it in the future. Right. And I think that's the biggest thing is like most—
Teaching someone how to fish, right? Like, right. You were stuck in the process of a lot of Amazon FBA sellers, right? You have a busy life. You have this one side project that you have that's actually going ahead and contributing money. And you want to know if there's any unlocked potential. I hear it all the time with a lot of people, right? Like I buy businesses for a living. And I remember before I even started coaching Sherwin, I said, How about I go ahead and just purchase your business? Right. But Sherwin knew his actual potential of his actual business. But the only reason why I offered to buy Sherwin's business is because I saw how much potential it really had. And again, like he mentioned before, it just took 2 sessions to turn his 25-unit-per-day product, which is one product, it's crazy to think, to selling 60 units plus every single day. And that's just by going ahead and optimizing Amazon PPC, which again, that was just his, right? He had, he had the impressions, he had the click-through rate, he had the conversion rate. He just had a scaling issue, right? So I know that even if we go ahead and look at his other business, maybe we can go ahead and, you know, be more efficient on freight costs. Maybe we can go ahead and be more efficient on actually fixing his listing, right? There's other things that we can go ahead and still do to, to increase his sales. But now he has the power and knowledge of what Amazon FBA is all about because Amazon FBA is a business. And if you don't know how Amazon FBA works, you really don't know the levers to actually pull to increase your sales. So, so that's the thing, right? So based on that though, Sherwin, like there's, you have that, you have that same reality of Amazon FBA, right? It's like going ahead and you're in this hamster wheel over and over again where You launch a product, you have inventory, you have cash flow issues because Amazon is delayed in paying you out, right? So to order more inventory, um, so, and then hiring an agency because, you know, you don't know what you're doing. So might as well go ahead and hire someone that might know what they're doing. So you were stuck in that hamster wheel when it comes to Amazon FBA. And I'm really glad that you were able to go ahead and kind of push through that, right? Because I feel like now you have more knowledge in these last 2, 3 sessions that we've done together. than you did way before with Amazon FBA?
Definitely, definitely. Because I had literally no idea what I was doing with my PPC, what was going on with my business. I was just seeing the checks come in and I was satisfied at that point, but I knew there was more to unlock. And I knew as the founder of my business that I needed to know the ins and outs from PPC to inventory, to stock, to product control in all aspects. So that's what really motivated me to reach out to Iman. And I think it was literally that was my DM to you was I need to take it to the next level, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that's exactly the DM to me that he went ahead and sent me. And so what I want to go ahead and kind of to show you guys, right? Like there's often this misconception that if you start learning things on your own, it's going to take up so much of your time, right? That's why Sherwin went ahead and hired someone from, you know, Fiverr to go ahead and control his PPC because the time factor of it, right? He has a full-time job. He has to go ahead and, you know, work on that. That's a priority right now because, right, it's safe, right? Having a W-2 job is safe and that should be a priority, especially when you're applying for mortgages and everything like that. They actually think that you being an entrepreneur is really risky, even though you can show consistent W-2s. I mean, not W-2s, but 1099s. Your P&L statements, financial statements. They still rather have a W-2 job because that's quote unquote safe, right? But let me ask you this, like how many hours have you put into your business when you were working with your VA? Like let's say per week and be realistic. Like how many hours were you working per week?
To be honest with you, 2 hours a month.
2 hours a month. That's the power of Amazon FBA. So now that you're making— now that— so let me hear this out, right? So he was selling 25 units per day and working 2 hours a month, which is crazy. Now he's— now he's going ahead and selling 65 units a day. How many hours do you think you're working?
Eman, I gotta stop you right there, man. We're doing like 75 to 80 units a day now, man. Yeah, I just— so I mean, I got I haven't checked all day and just talking about it, like you saw me glance at my phone, man. And I, it's just like, like, you see it.
That's crazy, man.
Literally, like you, I don't know if you can see it, but it's like—
We'll go ahead and put a screenshot up there.
Yeah, it's crazy, bro. It's crazy. It's absolutely insane right now. But yeah.
75 units. So you went from 25 to 75, you 3x'd your time. So, but, but hear me out, right? Like people, people have this misconception that I don't want to learn it because it's going to take so much of my time. So how much time do you think you're putting in now that you're making 75 units a day?
2 hours a month.
But now you have— that's it. That's exactly my point. Like, some people don't believe it, right? It's like some people tell me that, you know, why would I spend so much money on a one-on-one call or do this and that, um, when everything's going steady right now? It's just that people don't understand the potential, right? The hardest part, I'll tell you this, like There's a reason why I don't work with brand new students, because the hardest part is actually finding a winning product. That's the hardest part on Amazon FBA. Once you have a winning product, the rest of the stuff is easy. Like when I go and buy Amazon FBA brands, that's the easy stuff because I can just spot inefficiencies. Like, okay, these guys are air shipping all of their inventory and it's costing their COGS to be 30% of all their sales or 40% of all their sales. If I can go ahead and just tweak this, I can increase profit margins by at least 10%, or they're not doing enough PPC. Their TACOS is at 5%. I can go in there and do PPC. You know, my profit margin will come down, but my sales, my profit is actually going to go up. Right. So I hope, I hope you agree with that.
Right.
Like we, we even work with some of your friends, right. That they have struggling products because that's the hardest part is actually getting a product to have traction.
Right.
Right.
That's, that's the tough part. So if you, Can do the nitty gritty on the front end and and really be motivated to to grind it out, right? And not be discouraged. That's the hard part for the for the people out there that are watching this that have a product that have traction that are making I don't know a couple thousand bucks a month and want to take it to the next level and feel like you don't have potential. Look, I thought I was capped out at 25 people buying my product today, but I mean. You think that the bigger picture, how many people there truly are in the United States or Mexico or Canada, whoever, whatever group you're targeting, it's literally limitless. You know, it's literally limitless. So it's all about setting up your brand correctly, setting up your products correctly, and really having the guidance and mentorship that someone like Iman can provide you, right? Because then you become stagnant. I became stagnant. My bills were being paid, everything. I had food on the table. And, and for the past 2 years everything was okay, but I didn't want it to be okay anymore. And in order to do that, you really need to have some sort of coaching in play. And, and for me, that was Eman, to the point where, dude, 2 sessions later I bought a house. So I mean, yeah.
Again, like, I, I don't— I didn't pay Sherwin to say any of that, right? Like, that he did that, right? Like, he— I, I'm sure before His session, he his goal was to purchase a house, right? Like he had the financial backing. He had the two years tax returns. He had the two years of W-2s or whatever it might be. So he was gonna buy a house regardless. But I feel like hopefully I'm not speaking out of turn. But by your sales increasing, you're like this is a piece of cake now going ahead and affording this house.
It's stress free. You know, like people like you know buying a home. People save their whole lives, right? Like I'm saving. I'm saving. I'm saving. I'm Saving, I'm saving to buy a house, right? Or I need to get married because I need two incomes to buy a house, right?
Like yeah, he lives in LA, man. So like we're not talking about one two thousand dollar monthly payment. Like we're talking about six like six thousand, five thousand, six thousand, seven thousand dollar mortgages.
And I live comfortably, and I can still afford my you know German vehicle, and my child is well taken care of, and. It's, it's cushion. It's peace of mind, right? It's, it's coming home to your house and not having to worry about, you know, skimping on, on groceries because you got to pay your mortgage, right? Or, you know, buying only 1 or 2 presents because, you know, you gotta save your money. I can do what I want. Yeah.
And that's, and that's the key part. And that's the key part because it's the— it's like living the life of abundance, right? Like when you don't know if you're living month to month, paycheck to paycheck, Like, you can't live that life of abundance that attracts more money because I've always thought that that was always BS, right? Like, I always want to go ahead and invest into stocks and do this and like just hold my money tight because I don't know where it's going to go ahead and go. Once you start living your life in abundance and once you start spending money, you realize that money is just a vehicle to go ahead and purchase more things. Like, the more you spend, the more you're going to go ahead and attract. Which again, this is all—I don't want to get philosophical and everything like that, but he gets it right.
It's like now money, yeah, money only exemplifies who you truly are.
You know exactly, and and I'm trying to go back to this is that he he went ahead and purchased a house, and maybe a year ago he thought I would never be able to go ahead and purchase a house. Three months ago, he does that monthly payment. Exactly.
He makes that monthly payment now. Three months ago, I was like, how am I ever going to afford a house? How am I going to get out of the loophole of rent? How am I going to get out of this loophole of California increasing my rent 10% every year with me having no asset, right? I was in that apartment for 3 years. I'll be very open. I was paying $3,300 a month. Do the math. 12 times $3,300 times 3 years. That's $100K wasted down the drain, right? I knew I had to do something and the only way to do it was the unlimited vehicle of FBA. Simple as that.
So now that you have like this knowledge, right? Like now that you have basically unlocked that, it doesn't really matter what you think that you can go ahead and sell per day, right? That you thought you were capped at 25 and now you're doing 75. That, you know, Amazon is a search volume type of engine. As long as people are searching this thing up, those sales are going to stay consistent, right? So what is your next— like, what is your projection now in 6 to 12 months, just based off of those last 2, like, you know, coaching calls that we've done together?
So just off those 2, I mean, those 2 calls, you know, as we discussed, I 3x'd, right? Just units sold, profitability. We even tweaked prices. We increased our price and it didn't slow us down to a point, right? So based on that growth, I can see us maybe even scaling another 3x, you know, within the next 6 to 12 months. I can see us, you know, having the capital to come out with more products. And I think that's the goal. This year is to increase our catalog and build every product that I come out with to what we've built my original product to, right? So the big piece is that my product and the 3 original 3x has allowed me to free up capital to grow the business. Like Iman says, you need to have money to make more money, right? So in my mind, I think we go 3x this year. I think we go from 75 to 200 units a day.
Now, plus easy. And because the thing is that like once you have traffic, right. And I, and I told this to Sherwin in our last coaching call, it's like once you know that you have established traffic, come out with different variations of the same product, right? Whether that be different colorways, different scents, different weights, different anything, right? You're giving the customer more options. So the more and more traffic you send, the more and more options you give your actual customer, the more and more money is going to be left in your pocket. Which again, now he has a strategy in place as far as what is my next product going to be. And he knows exactly What that next product is going to be, and that's what stunts a lot of people on Amazon FBA is that they might have one product that's selling so much, but they don't know what that next move is because ultimately, you know, they try and throw spaghetti at the wall, things don't go right, and end up losing that money. So it's incredible, man. So I want to go ahead and like see if you have any like final thoughts or final words that you might have. Like were you surprised of all this? Like like what what what was your expectation before you know you hopped on a call with me?
My expectation was just to get as much data as I can from you because you're an honest person, right? There's a lot of people out there that kind of play you, right? They'll, they'll ask you, you know, that they'll tell, they'll come out and say that they'll help you and, and, and they're not. Like, my expectation was really not a lot, but My final words are, it's it's if you're if you have it within you, right? Sometimes you need something to push you to that next notch, right? Whether it's you're on a crutch and you need to put it on the next notch, right? If you feel like you you you're not coachable, if you feel like you know you're you're plateaued and this is as high as you can go, you have really nothing. Really? Yeah.
Yeah. So I would like to ask you, go ahead. Finish that thought.
I said all you have is really upside in this situation. And if you're, I mean, at this point, if you're listening to this, you're a business person, businessman, businesswoman, you have something going on. So you should know it's no, you know, no risk, no reward, right?
Yeah. So let's basically, let's kind of summarize it, right? So if I was talking to 25-unit-per-day Sherwin, right? And he was on the fence as far as joining a mastermind or one-on-one type of coaching. What would you tell 25-unit-per-day Sherwin now that you know that you're making 75 units per day now?
I would tell that 25-unit-a-day Sherwin, what got you to 25 units a day, right? Apply that same thing over and over again. You took the risk. You made it happen. It was a little bit of luck, right? A lot of coaching, a lot of tactical stuff, but a little bit of luck.
So, but let's say I came into your business, right? And I said, look, Sherwin, 25-unit-a-month Sherwin, I think I can go ahead and increase your, your business by at least double. And you were on the fence about it. What would you tell 25-unit-a-month Sherwin if he was on the fence working with me specifically?
Now, now, whatever what I know, I would tell him go for it. You know, like, you know, straight up, like, this is— you have nothing to lose, you know, and everything to gain, right? If I can go— what was it, Kanye West or whoever said it? You know, you shoot for the stars and you might land on a cloud, right?
Yeah.
So same situation. I would tell Sherwin, if Eman can get you to 200 units, great. If he doesn't, you're still at 25 units. What ended up happening? I took the risk, I got the reward, and it's still cooking.
And again, I'm just so glad, man. We're 2 sessions in and I'm more than ecstatic as far as going ahead and showing you off as basically someone that started at ground zero, went ahead and built it up themselves, and knew they needed the help to take it to the next level. And I only know that we're going to be talking a year from now and you're going to have way bigger goals than those 200 units a day that you're going ahead and discussing. But any final thoughts, like, you know, wrapping this up?
Yeah, just to wrap it up, dude, and I'll tell you, and I don't know if there's people out there who are in the same boat, like a big piece of this whole thing, being a business owner, is pride, right? You have pride in your business, you have pride in your product, you know, you feel like you know it all, you feel like you know every single thing about your business, you feel like, you know, you're the person to know how to sell your product, where to sell your product, who to categorize your product for. But in reality, you know, you have to put your pride aside, get a second, you know, get second eyes on that. And for me, that was Eman, and Eman is that second eye for you, you know, and put your pride aside and take your shit to the next level, for lack of better words.
Yeah, yeah, man. No, I love it, man. So again, sure. Yeah, follow Sherwin. I already told Sherwin, start going ahead and creating content. Just like I did, right? You never know who you're going to go ahead and have an impact on. And, you know, Sherwin is a testament to that, man, because I just started posting stuff because I enjoyed the experience. I thought people deserved to know as far as what I was going ahead and doing. And there's so much pie to go around. Like, me and Sherwin are selling in different categories, but we're in the same line of business, right? So, um, don't think about it as competition. And that's the whole purpose of me going ahead and coming out with my content on YouTube You know, offering these one-on-one type of coaching calls because I'm an open book. I understand that. And if I can change one person's life, man, that's worth way more than actual money. So again, Sherwin, I really appreciate you going ahead and taking this call, getting on this interview, and I'm sure you're gonna go ahead and do great things in the future, man. Thank you, brother.
One final thing I want to share is that I want to let the people know is that when they lock in with you, they're not locking in for one specific business. They're not locking in for one specific product. They're locking in for the knowledge that you're relaying. So with that knowledge, that knowledge is forever, right? As soon as you teach me, let's say my business fails tomorrow, right? The knowledge you've given me has given me the power to rebuttal 1 million times, right? So I think that's the true education piece here is that it's not you helping someone launch one product or one brand. It's you providing the knowledge to someone to create 500 brands. I can go and create 500 brands now with the knowledge that you've given me, right? And I think that's where the true value in this coaching is. It's not for one product. It's the knowledge to develop 1 million products if you wanted to.
Yeah. Hey, and he said it, man. So again, if you guys are interested in one-on-one coaching with me, I'll have it in a link in the actual description below. But don't take it from me, man. Like, the end of the day, it's like find coaching somewhere, find a mentorship somewhere, find somewhere that you actually fit. You know, sometimes I hate doing these type of testimonials because obviously in the world of pitching and coaching and stuff like that, like, you have to do this, right? Like, I have a whole team involved, but I do think that if you find, you know, a mentorship group, if you find someone that you can go ahead and hold accountable with each other, the sky's the limit as far as where you can go ahead and take your business. But You guys heard it from Sherwin. I'll go ahead and include his Instagram handles, his YouTube handle, or anything like that for you guys to follow him because he is going ahead and having a fantastic journey. And we kept his product hush-hush here, but if you are really interested in learning about Sherwin, go ahead and follow him on Instagram. But until next time, guys, peace. All right.
