How Timmy Makes $1000/day through Amazon FBA (Student Interview)

Timmy, a 24-year-old cybersecurity professional, hit $1,000 in daily revenue in his first week selling on Amazon FBA after two years of research. He used TikTok and Helium 10 to find his product, joined a mentorship program, and sold 70 units while staying profitable despite two 1-star reviews early on.

This individual just went ahead and launched this week on Amazon, is already doing $1,000 per day. And the best part about it is that he's actually profitable. We did the Vine Review Program. You got 2 1-star reviews and you felt defeated launching even with a 4-star, not even a 4.5-star. We see this level of success. So, you know, like there's more potential here.
This business is almost like the biggest roller coaster of emotions I've ever been on.
Not everyone starts off at being able to go ahead and make $1,000, you know, a day in revenue, especially launching your first week and it actually being profitable. We talk about this all the time. Your first order, the goal is never to be profitable. It's literally just to go ahead and get enough data for you to have enough money for the next reorder.
If you're gonna fail, fail fast, get back up, try again. There's no better teacher than experience.
Hey, how's it going guys? It's Emanuel in Los Angeles, and today we have a special guest because We're interviewing him on the very first week of him launching on Amazon. So without further ado, I'm going to go ahead and let him in, but he's going to go ahead and tell you his life story. Um, basically I wanted him to introduce himself because again, this individual just went ahead and launched this week on Amazon, is already doing $1,000 per day. And the best part about it is that he's actually Profitable. So his name is Timmy, and Timmy, I want you to go ahead and kind of tell me where you were before joining like the one-on-one and mentorship with us and where you are right now. But before you do that, I just want to give you a little bit of background about yourself. So can you tell us about your journey with Amazon FBA and before you actually did Amazon FBA?
Yeah, yeah, definitely. So I would say my journey with Amazon FBA has been a kind of a long but short one at the same time, right? So I've stumbled upon it, I think like on TikTok, uh, like 2 years ago, and it caught my interest. But I'm, I'm one of those people that I like kind of overthink a lot of things, right? So I've been doing research on it, I would say, for the last 2 years, but just never started it. And something just told me like at the beginning of this year— I know a lot of people make like New Year's resolutions, but they, they like never go through with it. So I told myself, I'm not gonna make it a New Year's resolution, I'm just gonna do it. So I think it was like January 2nd, and I was like, okay, let's just go. And that day I just started. I started watching a bunch of YouTube videos, um, I got Helium 10, trying to find my new, uh, my product, just doing a whole bunch of different things. But I would say So the information that you find online is pretty good. I, at this point, it's pretty good, but nothing really compares to actually having somebody that's done it, right? So I was able to go through and like find my product. I wasn't really very sure about it at the time, but just based on from what I saw, then like the guidelines, as far as you should be at sell at this price point, um, the competition should be this, the reviews should be this. So it fit the threshold for that. But, um, I will say I made a couple mistakes and looking back at it now. But, um, yeah, at the time I just was looking up research and I just, I just dove right into it.
Yeah, yeah. So we'll definitely get into a little bit more about like that success story and like painting the picture. But more importantly, like what was life like before we even connected, right? So like I know you mentioned a little bit of it as far as doing your research and figuring out Amazon FBA, but But just tell me, right before we went ahead and started working together, or you joining the actual program in school, like, what was that life there like? What was the day-to-day looking like?
Yeah, it was literally— I had 2 windows up. One of them would be the internet, and then one of them was ChatGPT. So I literally just used AI for the entire process. Uh, anything I wanted to know, I was basically just having like conversations with it at this point, just by giving— just talking to it and getting feedback. Everything that I did was strictly ChatGPT. So I, I would say I, I did trust it, and then it started— I started realizing that it was just telling me what I wanted to hear. That's when I decided, I was like, okay, I think I need something other than ChatGPT to help me guide, uh, guide me through this process.
Yeah, yeah, no, that— I'm sure I still use it from time to time as well, as far as like trying to figure out. But the thing is that sometimes with ChatGPT Once you start actually going into the nitty-gritty, I feel like ChatGPT gives you baseline information. It doesn't really dive really into it. So that's one of the biggest problems with with like AI right now. But let's kind of talk about like real numbers right now. Like I know that you have a job right now. You have you still have a full-time job, and I always encourage you to go ahead and keep it as you scale your Amazon FBA business. But as far as like when we first started talking, what were your goals as far as income-wise or revenue-wise, um, before we even started talking, and then now after you experienced that first week of launching?
Yeah, yeah, for sure. So I will say, um, I do pretty well for myself. For viewers that don't know, I'm 25. I literally just turned 24 in February.
So you're still young.
Yeah, yeah, I just turned 24 in February. So I work in tech, I do cybersecurity, so I make 6 figures. So my lifestyle has been— it's pretty good. Like, I live pretty comfortably. Um, but I'm just one of those people that, uh, it's just not enough for me, honestly. It's really not. And, you know, thinking back, I'm grateful to be in the position I am now because where I am now is where I wanted to be back then, right?
Yeah.
So I'm very grateful to be in the position that I'm in and, you know, to have the life that I'm in. But I'm just one of those people that Like, unfortunately, I do want the Lamborghini. I do want the nice house. I do, I do want that, that stuff. So it— I just realized that this wasn't going to get me that. Like, I could live comfortably, but honestly, that's just not what I wanted. So that— I, I— that's why I decided, I'm like, okay, well, let me try to figure out something that I can do alongside this, because I do like my job at the same time. So I don't even want to leave my job. I do like it, but I just know it won't give me what I want, um, at a bigger scale. Right.
Yeah.
So my first goal was to build something, build my, um, Amazon business and do like another $10,000 a month and, um, and add it to my revenue. Right. But then now that I've started, that I'm in the game a little bit, got my feet wet a little bit, I think my goal has kind of shifted. Right. So my goal now I think is to build it to a point to where I can't really build no more and then I want to exit. So, and so that, I think that's kind of like where I want to go. I mean, obviously I'm still very early, so this might change, but what I'm thinking about now is building, scaling to a point to where I can sell it and then I want to do it again. So I think that's kind of what I want to do. I want to build, uh, build, scale, uh, exit, do it again.
Yeah. So that's a great point. So did you think that was possible before you joined school or like, did you, did that, did that change because of the mindset?
Yeah, 100%. So I had no clue what you could even sell these things for, honestly. Not before I joined the school, I had no idea. And then I think, I think it was in one of like the classroom videos, like one of the first classroom videos I watched, you mentioned that, you know, you could sell it for like 3, 4 times, um, profit. I'm like, oh my goodness. So like, so if you, if you're doing like $10,000 a month in profit, you can do 3, you can sell it for $300,000, $400,000, $500,000. I'm like, whoa. So that like literally completely changed my mindset from when I first entered.
Yeah, yeah, definitely. And it's crazy because the reason why you're able to sell it for that amount of money is because I talked to a bunch of investors that are looking to go ahead and kind of buy Amazon FBA businesses. And the number one reason why they want to buy an Amazon FBA business of like the sizes that, you know, once you get to like $20,000, $30,000 a month in profit is because they want to substitute their job. Right. They want to quit their job and basically jump into Amazon FBA or an online business to be able to spend more time like doing the things that they actually like. Like for me, I like to always talk about being with my family, right? Being able to vacation. So having that financial freedom, that time freedom, and more importantly, the location freedom, being able to move around and not have to go ahead and stress.
For sure.
It's worth a lot to people because you have to understand that you're in the tech industry, but there are jobs out there where they're kind of chained to a desk or they're like they're chained to a couple of hours. when it comes to their job. And you know that with Amazon FBA, like, you don't, you don't do a lot of heavy lifting. It's not like you're in the office every single day packing and shipping out boxes whenever a customer goes ahead and purchases your product or handling returns, right? Like, your most important goal in Amazon FBA is to move the needle. And it's by going ahead and talking to manufacturers, making sure that ads are working properly, optimizing things that need to be optimized based on data. So So yeah, it's interesting to see that, you know, you already have that entrepreneurship bug that nothing— you're never satisfied with anything like that. So I always feel like that's, that's the, that's the mentality that every entrepreneur has to have in order for it to actually work on Amazon. Because when times get tough, you will go ahead and figure out a way to make it work.
Yeah, 100%.
Yeah. So now that you went this first week, I know you talked about like how your goals have shifted into going ahead and kind of selling these Amazon FBA businesses now and kind of growing them out. And we kind of hit that before you joined like the program itself, that really wasn't like your intentions. You were just trying to make an extra $5,000, $10,000, maybe $15,000 extra on top of your job. So what is the new normal kind of look like for you in the next 6 months or 12 months from now? Now that you kind of have the skills, you see the proof of concept, you started making— what is it, like $1,000 almost every single day on your first First week, right? It's not even 7 days yet and already tracking and making $1,000 in revenue. So what does the next 6 months and 12 months look like for you?
Yeah, so I want to say now that, you know, the proof of concept is there, I think the next 6 months to 12 months for me is really honing in on the skills, right? So I, I mentioned that I wanted to be able to build skills, exit, do it again. You can only do that If you have the skillset, right? So everybody can get lucky every once in a while, but the skillset I think is what'll build the consistency. So that's really kind of what I want to hone in on. So as I'm making these adjustments and I'm working with you and some of our other coaches, I really kind of want to get inside your mind, right? And see, well, I'm not just going to put these in, but why are— why am I putting these in? Or what are you seeing that makes you say, okay, well, let's do this instead. So that's kind of like what I want to focus on for the next 6 months is really just gaining the skill set that I can make this a consistent thing and not just a stroke of luck.
Yeah. Yeah. So again, you're one week in, right? And like these goals have already changed, right? So like, when did that click, right? Like that, that things are actually like, this is something that might potentially like change your entire life or like your specific situation that you're in right now. Was like, was there a specific moment? Like, was it this week? Was it leading up to the launch? What was that?
Yeah. So I will say it was this week because every day I set a goal, I hit it the next day. So I said day 1, I did my very first day we launched with ads. I did 5 sales and I did, I think like $200. So then I was like, okay, well, I want to try to see if I could get $300. The next day I hit that. Then I was like, okay, well, let me see if I can get 10 sales. The next day, that day I did 9 actually. I didn't hit it. I hit 9. And then the next day after that, I hit 12. Then I was like, okay, well, let's try to get to 15. The next day after that, from 12, I did 22. So literally every day that I've set a goal, I've hit it. So now in my head, I'm like, okay, it's either I'm setting too low goals or this is really just working.
I love that, man. Honestly, that's, that's crazy. Right? So it's like, uh, you, you probably weren't optimistic because we didn't even go over like the start to your journey because We did the Vine review program. You got two one-star reviews, and you felt defeated, right?
So like I did.
I remember that frustration. And then you know launching even with a four-star, not even a four and a half star. We see this level of success. So you know like there's more potential here, right? So not everyone starts off at being able to go ahead and make a thousand bucks, you know a day in revenue, especially launching your first week and actually being profitable. We talk about this all the time. Your first order. The goal is never to be profitable. It's literally just to go ahead and get enough data for you to have enough money for the next reorder, right? So—
Yeah.
What I want to kind of go into is like the struggles that you probably had before, because I know that, you know, even, even though you had great success, have you ever tried anything before that left you kind of frustrated and like something that wasn't working? It could have been like Amazon FBA, it could have been going ahead and doing product research. It could have been before you went ahead and did all this as far as entrepreneurship-like. So like, what wasn't working in your life that you needed to kind of try Amazon FBA? Like, take me there.
Yeah, so I would say, I would say it's really more so of the fact that what wasn't working— so I'm one of those people, like I said, like, I just, I like things. And it, it's the fact that a lot of things that I like are expensive, right? So So I feel that, man. I think what kind of like triggered me to like, okay, I want more, is the fact that like, let's say I wanted to get something that was expensive. It's the right now I, I'll be able to get it, but I have to plan. Like I'll say, okay, within the next year, 2 years, 3 years, if I save this, save this, save that, I'll be able to achieve it. I think, I think it's the, the do what I want when I want type of thing. Well, I want this. I have you know the funds to be able to just go do it. Or let's say I want to you know go on a vacation. Okay, let's just pack up and let's go. And I don't have to take off work. I don't have to save for it. I don't you know. So I think you hit it on the head with the financial freedom, the time freedom, and the location freedom. Because honestly, I think those are the three keys to to like. freedom of life, right? So a lot of people just talk about financial freedom, right? So, but there are people that make tons of money but have no time to spend it.
Yep.
So it's like, is it even really worth it to have all this money but no time to spend it? There are people that have all the time in the world, but they can't do what they want because they can't afford it. It doesn't work. So I feel like all these things have to go hand in hand for you to really have life freedom.
Yeah, I, I 1,000% And that's something— and I'll be honest with you and I'll be kind of truthful to the, to the audience. When I started Amazon FBA, I feel like all I was after was like financial freedom, right? I wanted to be that person that drove the Lamborghinis, nice vacations, this and that. And I kind of talk about it a lot on social media that the biggest kind of gift that Amazon FBA gave me was that time freedom. And I didn't really notice it until I actually started having kids, right? And I'm happy that you're in the situation, man, like that you found mentorship. You're able to go ahead and find an actual operator that's in the actual space. Because I remember when I was scaling out my Amazon FBA businesses, I felt like I was doing it blind, right? Like 8 years ago, everybody was just selling courses back then.
Yeah.
And I feel like not a lot has changed when it came to that, but I was learning basically blindfolded when it came to Amazon FBA. And I was throwing a bunch of money into failed products, failed ventures. taking out lines of credit and taking out loans to try and scale my Amazon FBA business without even knowing if shit was going to work out or not. Right. So like, I feel like everybody in entrepreneurship has hit like a rock bottom moment. And then all of a sudden, right, because you hit that rock bottom, it's like I tell people all the time, the analogy of being in the phone booth. Like when you get in a fight in the phone booth, you can't move anywhere. You have to go ahead and kind of take the situation.
Exactly.
Yeah. So my question for you is like, were you ever in that position? Is that why you— you went ahead and seeked Amazon FBA, or is it really just for the fact that you just wanted to make more money aside from your, from your 9 to 5, basically?
Yeah. So I would say this, right? So even when, and from my past, so cybersecurity is a very big, it's a very big thing now. So a lot of people want to jump into it. Yep. And, but me, I've always been like, a tech person, I guess. Like, I was like 6 years old taking apart our laptop. My mom used to get mad because I'm trying to figure out why this is doing this, why this is doing that. So I've always been a person to where I learned on my own, right? So even again with cybersecurity, I didn't go to college for it. I self-taught everything.
Nice, man.
I've always just been a person that— yeah, I know, I've always been a person I just learned on my own. And, uh, when it comes— when it came to Amazon FBA, I— and that's kind of what had me on the fence, is because I figured I could do this on my own too, right? Because it's no different than anything else I've ever done on my own. The reason I figured I was like, okay, let me just go ahead and get mentorship, is because of speed and mistakes.
Yep.
Those are like the 2 biggest things, right? So I figured there's no point in throwing money away and making these mistakes when there's somebody that has literally done it. So I'm like, well, why would I not just follow, follow this guy, right? Because he's literally done it. And I'm a big believer in, you know, just finding somebody who's where you want to be. So it, it just made sense to me, right? I'm like, well, he's already done it. There's literally mistakes that I can avoid and I can, um, scale this much faster. And I'm already seeing the fruits of the labor, right? So if I was running this on my own, the keywords and just the listing, the way everything was set up, the point that I'm at right now, week 1, it probably would have took me like 3, 4, 5 months to get there.
Yeah, I agree with you, man. Yeah, again, I've been there, right? Like, I, I've literally lived in your actual shoes. And I think there's a difference between like courses itself, because courses and communities are cool, but it's like having that one-on-one guidance that I think is the, is the biggest lever you can go ahead and pull. And not everybody thinks that they need it, right? Like, that's, that's the biggest thing with me as well, is that like when I first started selling on Amazon, I just felt like I didn't need it, right? And then yeah, once I started making the mistakes, I'm like, bro, I could have saved so much money if I just would have paid someone this amount of money, right? So I know it's only been a week, man. I know it's only been a week, but I mean, I see the difference in you, right? Like, I see the difference as far as like you even last week feeling defeated based on those Vine review programs and seeing like this is not going to go ahead and work, to like seeing like the messages that I see from you now as far as being excited and now You know, you're after it as far as like, uh, like you can sell these businesses, grow these businesses, and it'd be like not necessarily easy, but like you see the proof of concept, right?
So yeah, for sure.
I want to say this, just this week alone, right? Like, have you seen like what is the biggest difference like your family or friends have noticed about you, if anything?
Yeah, so I will say last week was rough because like literally those 1-star reviews, it literally just ruined my day. And, and like, I noticed because my girlfriend asked me, she was like, like, what's wrong? Like, are you okay? And I'm like, dude, these 1-star reviews, these 1-star reviews. And it's like, it almost feels like the lows are lower than the highs are the highs.
Always.
I'll get 5 5-star reviews and I'll be happy, but I'm never as happy as I'm upset when I get the 1-star reviews. So it like literally— I, I know, and I've used this analogy a bunch of times— this business is almost like the biggest roller coaster of emotions I've ever been on. Because when I first started, I was here. The 1-star reviews came, I immediately dipped right back down. And then now that it's— I'm seeing some success, I'm right back up here.
Yep. So it's never gonna change. It's never going to change. That's entrepreneurship.
Last week I felt defeated. This week I've been in a great mood every day.
Every day. Yeah, man. Any entrepreneur will tell you, man, like that never changes. There's going to be months where like you're doing great. There's going to be weeks that you're doing terribly. So I always tell you, I always say this, like at the end of the day, always focus on profitability, always focus on making actual money because everything else is just like vanity, right? Like you always see even myself sometimes, like I'll post screenshots of like revenue figures But like no one knows exactly how much profit they're going ahead and making, what they're keeping, what the cash flow looks like. Because especially like Amazon FBA and e-commerce, like it's a cash flow game. And if you don't have that cash flow, you're sinking. So yeah, always remember that it's always gonna be— it's always going to be a roller coaster. But yeah, going back to like the whole investment side of things, right? Like looking back at the investment you made in yourself as far as like doing this one-on-one and kind of joining it. Like, how do you feel about taking that leap now?
Oh man, I feel amazing. So I'll show everybody because I remember I told, um, you guys in our chat, this is the quarter. This is the quarter. So when I was debating on whether I should do it or not, there were so many pluses. And then like literally the only— so the only downside, I was like, okay, well, like, do I want to invest that? It was a bunch of pluses and it was one downside. I was like, okay, well, do I want to invest that? So it got to the point where I was like, dude, like, just do it. And then I'm a big believer in what's meant to be is meant to be. So I took this quarter right here and I said, heads, I'll do it, tails, I won't. I flipped it and it was heads, and I will be framing this quarter one day.
I will be framing this quarter one day. And he told us this week, like, uh, after the results, he's like, I wanted to wait to tell, but I literally flipped the coin. And that's insane, right? It's just fate. It's literally just fate.
Yeah, it is. It is. And I would say it's definitely death. And I was just telling my girlfriend this yesterday. I was like, like, I'm literally so happy I went ahead and did it. So happy. And because when I think about the investment that I made, that I would have spent, I would have spent much more than that losing money had I not Had I not joined.
And it's hard to tell people that, right? It's like, you're gonna lose more money if you don't like do a one-on-one, right? Like the coaches that I've went ahead and kind of put into this program, they just want everybody to win. And that's the, that's the biggest difference between somebody getting paid just to do a job and to get people around your circle that actually wants people to win. Because the truth of the matter is that everyone can win on Amazon. Like it's such a small group of people that are in these communities, in these niches, like talking to each other, that like we are literally against so many other sellers that are from like all over the world, and we have just a small segment of them. So we literally want everyone to win because I feel like every category is there for like the taking.
But, um, yeah, sure.
Going back to that, right, like what would you say that someone who's like hesitant about investing in themselves, like what would you tell them?
Yeah, so I'll say this, right? My thing is, if you don't want to invest in yourself, what are you willing to invest in, right? So I— and I sat here and I think I thought about it too. I'm like, dude, I'll go out to eat and spend $100 here. I'll go do this and spend $100 there, $50 here, $100 there.
Yeah.
And those literally bring me no return. Absolutely no return.
Short-term.
There is no better investment in— there's no better investment than investing in yourself. Because my, uh, you, you can launch a product, right? And then let's just say, I mean, because realistically not all products are winners, some will lose, right? It's not about that. It's about the skill set. And that's what I was mentioning before. It's the skill set that you can get up and do it again.
Mm-hmm.
So it's, it's, it's like you, you're basically— you throw money at everything else.
Yeah.
But then when it comes to investing in yourself and your future, you want to be like, uh, should I do that? Should I do that? And that's exactly how I was, so I don't blame you. That's exactly how I was. But you— I feel like if you really sit down and just think about the, the plus and the minus, the plus heavily outweighs the minus. Heavily. So I, I just feel like if you think or if you feel like this is something that can really change your life, because it can, and there's people that, that are doing it, like you're one. There's— and, and I've always been like, if somebody can do it, why not me?
Yep, I'm no different. Exactly.
There's people that do it, so why not me? So just invest in yourself, because whenever— 5 years from now Hopefully when I'm doing it as big as you, I'm not worried about the investment I made.
Yep.
At all. I'm not worried about it at all. I'm grateful that I made that investment, right? So I just feel like if you feel like this is something that you want to pursue, then it's definitely worth investing in yourself.
Yeah, I love that, man. And I appreciate that going ahead and saying that, you know, it was worth every penny. Honestly, it really means a lot to me, man. Um, but going back to like you, like what's, what's next for you, bro? Like, uh, like what are your goals now? I know you mentioned selling this actual business, but like do you have like a specific goal? Is it the car? Is it the nice house? Is it the nice vacation?
Yeah.
What is the North Star for you right now?
Honestly, since I was a kid, my dream was to have a Lamborghini Urus.
There it is, man.
And I've always told, I've always told my friends and everybody around me Like that day will come. I don't know when, and I don't know how I'm gonna do it. That day will come. So that is literally like one of my biggest motivators, and it's really just to prove myself right, if that makes sense. So I I just want to be able to feel like I had a goal and I achieved it.
I love that, bro. And that's being honest, right? Like that's that's everybody's goal. As far as like being able to put— that's what people put mood boards, right? It's like they literally put exactly what they want in their office and they're like, that's gonna be mine one day. So, uh, yeah, that's awesome, man. I do see some like, uh, uh, Travis Etienne and his— is that his brother or who is that back there?
Nah, yeah, that's Travis Etienne. Yeah, it's, it's actually my friend. This is, this is a signed jersey. You can't really see.
Oh, nice, man. Yeah, yeah, that guy always gives me up and down when it comes to fantasy every year, man.
I've noticed because I do fantasy with my friends, and any year that I don't get him, he doesn't do well for some reason. So I, I tell myself I gotta just start picking them up every year.
Yeah, yeah. No, that's awesome though. I have a couple signed jerseys too from like, um, Austin Ekeler, which I'm a Charger fan, so I have LaDainian Tomlinson, Austin Ekeler. I have some Kobe Bryant merchandise too, so that's cool, man, that you have that. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. So kind of to finish this off, man, like, um, For someone watching who's like struggling right now, right? Like obviously this is kind of broad advice and I can give my take as well, but like what would you tell someone that is looking into like Amazon FBA and like they're, they're looking at it because they want to be in your position where like you're able to kind of make this risk and kind of grow this business out? And you're like, if you're talking to, to sell like yourself that's like struggling right now and you wanted to go to Amazon FBA, like what would you tell that person?
Yeah, so I think, and I've always been a big believer in risk, right? So the only, the only way that you can get to where you want to be, right? So they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
Yep.
So if you're at a point right in your life where you feel like you want to do something else, or you want to change your life, or you want to reach this goal, you have not reached it up to this point, that means you cannot continue doing what you do every day and reach that goal.
Mm-hmm.
Something has to change. I believe on the other side of risk is reward. So you really just have to take that risk, right? And, and the biggest thing I would say is you really just can't think about it. Yeah, because when I was thinking about it, I went 2 years and didn't take action. I literally woke up January 2nd and said, let's just do it. And I, I think that's just how it has to be. You just have to take the risk, honestly. And I, I did that. There is probably no— unless they're like born into a rich family or something like that, there's nobody that's made it without taking a risk. It's impossible. Yep.
And, and I resonate with that too, man. It's like anything— every, every time I try and do research on something I like I focus on like time sunk, like even like planning a vacation like annoys the crap out of me because it's like I'm I'm researching every single day like what's the best price for the hotel? What's the best price for the flight? What's the best price for this? What's the best price for X Y and Z that I get so frustrated day to day where it's like let me just spend a little bit of extra just so I don't have to think about it anymore, right? Yeah, for sure. I feel that. I feel when you say that, man. So let's go back to like you as far as like hindsight. Or like wisdom, right? For yourself. Like if you can go back and give yourself one piece of advice before starting this journey, like what would it be?
So like 2 years ago, whenever I was thinking about it, or just right up until right before I actually started?
Let's go 2 years ago because that's where that one nugget actually came in that you wanted to do something.
Yeah. Start.
Yeah.
Yeah. Start honestly. Um, Because now, now that I've started and now I'm thinking about it, like you said, in hindsight, if you're gonna fail, fail fast. There's no point in waiting. And if you're gonna fail, fail fast, get back up, try again. So that, that would be it. Just start, honestly, because there's no better teacher than experience. Yeah.
And I agree. And it's the way you frame it, right? Like, you can frame it as like, I just lost $10,000 on X, Y, and Z on this stock, on this option, on this business venture. Or you can frame it, as you mentioned earlier on this call, man, you can frame it as like, hey, that taught me so much that I know if I do it again, I will not make that same mistake. Or I just learned such a valuable skill that it's, it's that it's valuable.
So yeah. And to tie that into Amazon, it's almost like buying data like we do, right? So, and you can apply that to real life. You can buy that. It's like, okay, well, I'm gonna jump in. If I fail, I learned this. So I believe, I believe there's, there's a win in every loss, right? So even, even if it fails, you learned, uh, I'm a big glass half full rather than glass half empty guy. So yeah.
Yeah.
That, that's just my train of thought.
Yeah, well, Timmy, man, like, honestly, I think that you already have the entrepreneurship spirit, um, and you joining the program just gave you that little push anyway, um, because you were going to find success regardless if you joined this program or you learn from trial and error. So I know that you always say like, thank you to us, thank you to the coaches, and this and that, but honestly, like, it— us, we, we just go ahead and just give you the guidance, right? Like, we just give you the path to try and figure this out and kind of give you more of a shortcut. But based on who you are, based on this conversation, based on like everything I know about you over the last couple of months in the school community, you would've figured it out regardless, man. So I, I told this to like Alan, I've told this to other past students before. It's that, you know, regard— you have that spirit and you already have that mindset that no matter what is in front of you, you were gonna go ahead and dominate anyway. So I just appreciate that I'm a part of that journey, man.
Yeah, man. For— yeah, thank you. I really appreciate that coming from you. For sure.
Yeah. But all right guys, so, uh, we're going to end off this interview right here, but he, Timmy gave you so much insight as far as like what his product is or what happened with his actual product before he launched with those, uh, 2 1-star reviews, how he felt defeated, how we went into launch. And again, I think yesterday was your best day as far as doing right under $1,000 in revenue that one day.
Yeah.
So, uh, the sky's the limit because now we have the data, we know how to optimize, we know the keywords, we know his ranking and Right now he's going to run out of stock. Is that correct?
Oh yeah. Um, so I think I've done already 70 units sold and I think I only have like 200 left, but I'm selling at around an average of 10 a day now. So yeah, yeah, I'll be out of stock very soon.
Yeah. So there you go. And I always tell people the goal for your first production run is to run out of stock because we want to know what the reviews are going to look like, what the returns are going to look like. And basically how we can optimize our product because we already are optimizing, right? We already reached out to your supplier, figured out how to bring the cost of goods down to get a better unit economic price. We even got some free, free, uh, free product off of that as well. So it's just all learning experience. And again, I'm excited for this, but, um, if you guys like this type of content, just let me know in the comments below, subscribe, like, and we'll have more testimonials like this. But this is a very special one with Timmy here. So again, like, subscribe, but until next time, guys, peace.
