The excerpt is a single-speaker monologue (labeled SPEAKER A) giving analysis and practical advice on reasons owners sell profitable Amazon FBA businesses — mainly inability to scale beyond current revenue and cash-flow constraints — and highlights warning signs for buyers (low profit margins, rising FBA/storage/PPC costs, price sensitivity).

There's a multitude of reasons why someone will sell a profitable Amazon FBA business. Number one is that they've scaled it as far as they physically can. Obviously, you don't know what you don't know, right? So how do you expect to scale from a $10,000 a month per month business to $50,000 per month in business? It's a big leap, and a lot of people don't know what it takes to actually get there. So they've stunted their own growth, and they would rather cash out what they can right now and start a new business over again based on what the knowledge they do have. The number 2 reason that I see most people go ahead and sell is the cash flow issue. With Amazon FBA, you have to wait to get paid. And sometimes when you have to go ahead and wait to get paid and you rely on that paycheck, you sometimes go ahead and use your own, that money from Amazon to pay off your own personal items, right? Like a house, living expenses, whatever it might be. And sometimes it stunts your growth that way because you really don't have the cash flow to come out with new products, scale the business out. So by going ahead and selling your Amazon FBA business, now you actually have the ability to unlock, um, coming out with new products, going ahead and launching a new brand, and actually having the money to scale it out that way. So those are mainly the 2 things, right? Like, they don't know how to scale the business, and number 2 is that they rather cash out right now, have a good war chest on money so they can go ahead and continue building other brands to grow and sell in the future. But don't get me wrong, you have to really know what you're looking for because they can say this when they sell their business, but once you start analyzing their So you can see that right now they're selling it at a low profit margin. It's not a sustainable business model. The reason why they're selling is they're trying to go ahead and get as much money as they can because they see the warning signs in the future, right? They see the long-term storage fees, they see FBA fees going up, they see that their price sensitivity on Amazon— so they can't simply raise their prices, right? They see that PPC cost is going up and they can't raise their prices, so now they're gonna be unprofitable. So you still have to know what you're looking for, but those 2 reasons are the main reasons why people go ahead and sell.
