MODULE 15: Build a masterclass or challenge to LAUNCH

Emma Naylor-Weston walks through a launch framework: visibility-first outreach, then a live masterclass or challenge, then early-bird sales. Target where your ideal clients already are, use direct outreach to past clients and engaged followers, and design the event so your paid offer becomes the obvious next step.
Around launching your offers. Okay? So it's something that a few of you have been speaking about. We've obviously been speaking about it a lot in terms of like what it means to launch an offer. Okay? So what we really want to think about when it comes to launching an offer is it's really, really simple. There's this real feeling of over complicating, okay? This is what it has to look like, this is what it needs to be, right? But the reality is launching is just talking about your offer, right? Like launching is just talking about and making your offer visible. And there's a number of different ways that we can do that, right? There's challenges, there's master classes, there's making like what I call a big fucking deal campaign, right? And it's basically any time we're going to launch something, we always try and as I said over complicated. But the best way is to genuinely start talking about it and inviting people in to your work, right? A lot of the time that we, a lot of the time that we're like doing this work, we forget that we actually need to invite people into this work. We're so infatuated by what does this look like and what does this canva piece look like? And does this post look okay? And does this look okay? And so what we really need to think about is when it comes to launching and speaking about your one to one offers, your group coaching offers, your consulting offers, whatever it is that you're selling and doing, we need to be inviting people and connecting with people. Okay? So we talk about social media, but actually social media has become one of those places where it's all about the posting, it's all about the content. And yes it is. And that's what like backs it up. So when someone comes to our profile, they can see who we are, what we do, why we do it and why we are the one for them. What we also want to be thinking about is like social media is made for connection, right? Social media is made for connecting with people and it's something that we don't do enough. So what I really want to talk about today and again this is for you, if you're in consulting, freelancing, coaching, whatever it is, is how do you actually launch your offer and make sure that people are into it. Okay, so I'm going to kind of talk you through the steps that I go through and the steps that I like always speak to my clients about.
Right?
So what we have to be thinking about is what is the build up to It. Okay, so what a lot of us do is we launch an offer to no one, right? And I mean that with like so much love is like we launch an offer to no one. So what then ends up happening is no one buys and we're like, well, my offer's not good. My offer's crap. No one wants to buy it. Okay, this isn't the right thing for me. But actually what we have to think about is it's like, it's kind of like opening a store on a high street that's dead and there's no people walking past. You can have the best products, the best offers, the best prices in the whole of the country. But if you haven't got footfall or you don't have people to come into the store, you're never, ever, ever going to sell anything. This is what we really need to think about is like, how are we teasing? How are we building up? How are we counting down things? How are we building our personal brand? So when we launch something, people are like, oh my gosh, actually, this is like the person that I really, really trust. So this is what we call like the pre, pre launch, right? So the pre, pre launch is something big is coming. Building curiosity, warming your audience to testing messaging, starting to collect leads, right? The tactics we want to look in here is like teaser content. So really thinking about, like, what if you're like, for example, I'd be like, what if your 9 to 5 salary wasn't your ceiling? Or this is what I did when I was starting to think about leaving my job. So it's like we're starting to thread in there and all of you will have like a red thread that makes your content so relevant for your ideal clients. So whether it is a business owner you're speaking to, whether it is big companies that you want to get in with their HR team because you know that they're the ones that hire the consultants, right? So we need to be thinking about is like, how are we teasing that? And also how are we positioning ourselves as that authority, right? And that comes from, I've done this, I'm the person who can do this, I can talk to that pain point. What we then want to be thinking about is like hinting a little bit, right? So the hinting tactics of I'm about to launch, I'm about to launch this thing, this is what's happening, or this is coming very, very soon, right? And then what we also want to be thinking about is like, how are we connecting with people throughout that time? Because again, some of you may say to me, well, I have zero followers, like, who am I? Who am I posting this to? Or I haven't got any connections on LinkedIn. What we want to be thinking about is who do we want to see this? So, for example, if LinkedIn is your tool that you're using and you are posting, I did this, I did that, I'm the authority. What if this wasn't this? Are you connecting with HR leaders? Are you connecting with people who are hiring consultants? If you're on LinkedIn, for example, you know, mum coaches, if you're like, I know Emma, Emma Clark's a mum coach. It's like, is she connecting with the people inside of that space who are going to be interested in that? They need to see it to be interested in it. So this is what I call the pre, pre launch, like the foundation of knowing, warming your audience, collecting leads, speaking to people, getting in front of the right people.
Right.
What we also then want to think about is like, how do we position ourselves as the expert? So how are we can, how are we posting, how are we going live on Instagram or how are we doing LinkedIn, LinkedIn, you know, lives or whatever? How do we talk about the turning point in our life or in our work that we're doing? Right? How do we talk about that? We are the expert in that. And that's really what this, like, pre, pre launch is. It's making sure that you have all of these things in line. What a lot of people do is they miss out the pre, pre launch, the hype part, and they go straight to, hey, here's my product. And it's like, then of course you get Tumbleweed, because who are we speaking to? And I Remember back in 2021, I launched an online course, I launched a program. I didn't tease it, I didn't do. No one bought. And I was like, it's because I'm not good enough. It was. I told myself all of those things. And when I hired my next coach, she was like, how did your last launch go? And I was like, it was awful. It's just like, okay, so what was your strategy? I was like, oh, I just, I just posted it and no one signed up. And she was like, okay, how much did you talk about? I was like, well, I spoke about it, like, maybe like once a week. And she was like, okay, do you see where the issues are? Like, do you see where the problems are? And the reality was, is that I didn't, because I didn't Know how to do all of it. I didn't know how to pre, pre launch, I didn't know how to hype things up, know how to position myself as the authority. I just thought I'm going to post and if people like it then actually maybe they're going to buy it. And that's really not how people buy. Like people buy when they understand who you are. They need to understand that you exist. They need to understand like we don't just need a bunch of followers, we need humans who are actually going to connect with us.
Right.
So what I would be focusing on this like pre, pre launch is speaking to people in our professional circle, like colleagues, business friends, ex clients, anyone who's ever said you're good at this, anyone you've ever connected with, anyone who like shows a bit of interest. We want to be connecting, reconnecting with them from a really genuine place that's like, hey, I've been building something, I've been thinking about. You would like love to get your thoughts on this or like, hey, I was thinking about you the other day in that conversation that we had when I worked back at X. Like I'd love to pick your brain about this. Like really just actually connecting with people. And again, this is where that connection piece really, really comes through. Like we need to be connecting with humans. We're so obsessed with followers and like, like counts and actually we need humans. Humans are the ones that purchase.
Right?
We also want to be thinking about is like, where do your ideal clients hang out? Where can we build trust with them? Is it the mum groups? Is it the LinkedIn groups? Is it that they actually go on LinkedIn and see what you're posting, do? How do you become that source of like trust for them? And then what we also want to think about is like your, as I said, your network a little bit more. But then going into that next thing of like, hey, I'm launching something really exciting. I've been thinking about you building this or that conversation we had a while ago or like, remember when we spoke about this? Or if you don't have any of that, it's like, hey, I see that you're a new mom, I see that you're a mom on maternity leave. I'm launching something exciting and I would love, love, love to just like pick your brain and ask you questions about it. Or like I'm launching this and in the build up I've got this freebie and I'd love to share it with you.
Right?
There's no right and wrong way to do this? Actually, no, there is. The right way is getting the word out. What I mean, there's no right and wrong way. There's no specific blueprint strategy, but there's a wrong way which is doing none of this and not becoming visible and moving first and, you know, really understanding how people buy from you. And it really goes visibility first, then you build that trust and then the sales come third. We often try and jump into the sales before we've done any of that.
Okay.
The second thing that we want to be thinking about is like, what is your tool and strategy?
Right?
So this is where it gets a little bit more strategic. So we can look at the likes of a free masterclass, we can look at the likes of a three day challenge, a five day challenge, whatever day challenge it's going to be.
Right.
What we really want to be thinking about is what does your audience want to do for some of you? For example, people who are going into consulting may be like, actually my audience don't want a challenge. They don't want a master class. They don't want this. Think about what they do want. Think about a taste away for them to come and speak to you. Maybe they do want a masterclass, actually. Maybe there's a master class in like how to hire your first consultant or how to hire, or how to hire, how to hire your first consultant or how to like ensure that when you're onboarding consultants, it's this or like, again, you can speak specifically to the goal that they're having. So if you are a consultant, an HR consultant, for argument's sake, you can be like, how to do X in HR or how to do X as a business and show your specific uniqueness.
Right.
And that's what we need to be thinking about. So whether it's a master class, whether it's a challenge, whatever it is, we have to be thinking about how are you positioning yourself as that expert? And what you host your masterclass and challenge on is so fundamentally important. And it has to link back to your bigger ticket offer. It has to make sense that that is the next logical step for them to take from the challenge to the master class, from the free, one to one from the free, like whatever that looks like, it has to make logical sense for them to move from A to B, A being the free thing that you're doing and B being the paid offer that they have an opportunity to jump into. And that's what we really need to be thinking about. Okay, is how do we get them and how do we make sure that it makes logical sense? Okay, so for example, I did the five day challenge, the employee to entrepreneur challenge, right? So if you think about the five days and for any of you that attended, you would have been like, oh, it's kind of like a mini freedom circle, right? It's a mini freedom circle. It's the identity shifts, it's the inner work, it's the strategy, it's the visibility and confidence. It's talking about creating your first offer. So when I then sold the freedom circle is the next logical step, it made sense, right? It made sense to the people who were inside the freedom cycle to go, well, yeah, obviously that's the next step and has given me a little bit of the information. Now where do I move to next? And that's what we want to be thinking about in this build up is talking to that ideal client. But then whatever we're offering them in terms of launching, whether it's a masterclass, a challenge, whatever it is, it makes logical sense from them to go, oh, I've seen Emma posting about being the 9 to 5 exit strategist, helping people leave their 9 to 5. I'm going to jump into her because she's built authority. I may then jump into her challenge because I trust her that she knows what she's doing based on the pre, pre launch stuff she's done. And then inside of the challenge, she's spoken about the freedom circle. That's the next logical step because Emma's given me the first five steps, but I want the next 100 steps that I need to do. So that's what we need to be thinking about is what is the masterclass about? What is the challenge about? And what I always want to say with that is live is always going to be better. If you can host things live, you are going to get a much higher conversion rate. Then if it's like a pre, obviously, lead magnets are great and a great way to build people to then get them into your challenge and your master classes. And lead magnets can work behind the scenes for you, which is exactly what we want. But what we also need to think about is how do we get in front of your ideal client? How can they ask you questions? How can they be in your energy? How can they see what it's like to work with you?
Right?
Like, how can they see what it's like to work with you? So I'm going to pause for one minute there and I'm going to ask all of you, none of you Whoever wants to come up, I would love for you to share based on what we've spoken about the challenge and the masterclass. I would love to ask you if any of you have any ideas or if you want to like riff back and forth about what you could create for your ideal client. So whoever wants to come off, just come off mute and just let me know and we can go through that. And if you have no ideas, you can hit yourself off mute and say, I have no idea. Can we pull something out together?
I have something I've been thinking about. Hey, sorry, it took me a while to get the right link.
No, you're good.
So I have been thinking about doing something with. So the, the Ikigai stuff, like finding your purpose. They do have kind of like a Venn diagram saying that you can use and then like going through like what.
You love, what you can get paid.
For, what you, what the world needs and stuff like that. And I thought that might be a good like masterclass live session to take a group through.
Yeah.
And that would kind of lead into them scheduling like maybe their 90 minute one on one or their teen and them, their teen athlete and then scheduling their 90 minute call with me to then take them through their mission and purpose, like writing their mission and purpose statement type stuff.
So what I would probably do is I would be thinking about targeting this to the parents, right? So I'd be thinking about targeting this to the parents and really speaking to them. Being like, if you are doing this and you want your kid to be able to find out this, this is the introduction, like, make it like A. This is the first step you need to take. This is the introduction to this thing that we're going to do together. We're going to build out this framework and we're going to do this. And what we need to think about is what is the transformation?
Right?
So when they sign up for this masterclass, what is the transformation that they're trying to get to? From A to B? For example, employee to entrepreneur was you're going to come in as an employee and you're going to know how to be an entrepreneur and start your business. Perfect. There's a clear transformation. So what we need to think about for you is what is that entry point to their journey and why would they want to come to this and what's the promise that they're going to get off the back of this? And this is for everyone who's watching this. Where are they going from? Right from A to B, what is the transformation Inside of the challenge, inside of the masterclass. And then what makes this step after the offer that you're going to sell them, what makes this the next no brainer step? So we have to be thinking about the masterclass and the challenge is like a miniature version of what we're talking about in the high tech offer. Okay. Yeah, I love that. Yeah, I love that. Okay, cool.
And then I also like been thinking a lot lately about kind of narrowing my niche.
Okay.
To even not. I don't know. Let me know your thoughts on this. But so far I've been saying parents of teen athletes, but I'm wondering if I should say moms.
Well, let's use this challenge or master class as a trial. Let's try that out. Let's, let's. And this is the thing about challenger master classes when you're launching.
Right.
Is you can try different ones. So you could try the first launch to be like mums of teen athletes. And then next time around if we wanted to do like a three day challenge and we feel like actually I'm missing out on a big market, we can say parents, moms and dads or parents or caregivers of teen athletes. Right. So what we need to think about is if you were to fill up your spaces and you were to fill up your one to one offer, who do you really believe that you can help? If you think it's mums. Let's do this first challenge, this first masterclass just for mums and then we'll be able to tweak from there how that looks. And again that's for all of you. Is actually thinking about who is the specific audience that I really want them to see this master class and be like, wow, Jesse is speaking right to me. Emma's speaking right to me. Tiffany's speaking right to me. Like I can feel that she's speaking to me. And so actually that sounds like a great idea. So let's try that out for this, for this master class. Okay, cool.
I like that idea. Thank you so much.
Amazing.
And I have some, I have some updates from my website to send to you too.
Amazing.
And that's kind of where this like all has generated from. So.
Perfect.
Yeah, I'm excited.
I look forward to that. Thank you. Love that. Yeah, thank you. Who else would like to share? They that are challengable but masterclass. Tiffany.
Hi.
So I was thinking maybe doing it closer to my mvp which is kind of a five day guide.
Yeah.
But just following those days and doing like either a challenge or Maybe just like a live master class where people can hop on and just like, maybe day one, talk about, like where your time is draining or where it's leaking and just kind of talk about that and then talking about boundaries, energy.
Yeah, I love that. So.
And then that leads into.
Yeah, anything that leads those. Anything that leads into that offer, you kind of hit the nail on the head with that. What we want to be thinking about is how are we leading this into this offer? So actually if we can do a miniature version of that, then actually that leads in really, really well to that offer as well. So I absolutely love that. So in terms of that, you could either do. You could either do a one day master class on a Monday and then be like, for five days straight, you're gonna get an email with a task to do, or you could do a five day challenge. What I'd be thinking right now, if this is the first time you've done a challenge or done a masterclass or anything live, I probably commit to doing one masterclass, making it super, super powerful, making it so big, and we'll talk about that in a second. But making it so big and powerful and then for five days in a row, dropping them tasks into their inbox. I think that would be a great way to do that. Perfect. How does that feel? Good?
Yes.
Amazing.
Kind of a little bit overwhelming and scary because I've never done a master.
Class, but yeah, we'll talk about. We'll talk about everything you need to do with that. So perfect. Thank you so much. Thank you.
Perfect.
Cool. So would anyone else like to share? Emma. Hello. Hello.
Well, I don't have anything to share. I was gonna say I don't know.
Okay.
Okay, so let's break this down. This is actually such a good example. So tell me where your client is and where they want to be.
The question. I always hate when you ask me that because it kind of changes every time a bit. No. So they're out the other side of traumatic stuff or living with high stress that they can't change. They can't change. It just is life and they just want to be more in control, more at peace, more with. Found that like a purpose again.
Okay, so I think what we could probably do is like the three day challenge to take back control of your life. The three day challenge to gain back control over your life, or the masterclass to gain back control over, like something like that, which is really. And then we have like a really, really. A really, really, like, strong tagline. A really strong tagline. Which is like, again, understanding where are they? Where do they want to be? How does that sound for you?
Yeah, that's good, I guess. So where it's a three day challenge. Would I try to ask here? How would I start that? Because obviously, like, I automatically think stories, but then I think who's actually, you know, obviously part of the idea is to hopefully find new people as well. So how would I formulate that?
So what I would be thinking about is in terms of like connecting with people. As I said, what I would be looking at is, is again, once we've got the challenge or the masterclass built out, I would then be going to ideal clients Instagram. So for example, if they're on another coach's page and you see them commenting, you see them liking. Again, it's a value ad where it's like, hey, I saw that you commented on this person's post. I am running a free masterclass. Again, being really transparent. Like, I'm running a free master class. There's absolutely no catch. You don't need to sign up for anything, you don't need to pay for anything. It's literally just, I saw you commented on this person's post and I thought it'd be really useful for you. Like, if you want a link, let me know. It has to come from like a really good, genuine place. And I think when we think of like cold messaging or reaching out to people, it's like, hey, do you want to buy this? And like, that's not really what we want, right? We want to make sure that people feel like we're adding some value. So as long as we're going in there and saying like, hey, I'm running this free thing, it's about X to Y being really, really clear on what the transformation is. And this is again where a lot of us really stumble up, where we're like, hi, I'm hosting this free masterclass about how to live your best life. And it's like, what does that even mean? Like, what does that even mean for anyone? So it's like, actually I'm hosting a free master class, which is like, about how to get control back over your life. I saw you commented on this person's post and actually if that's how you're feeling right now, like that post resonated with you, this masterclass is going to identify that exact thing that you were talking about. So it's like you're actually adding value to them and making them feel seen. Because your ideal clients in that moment need to Be seen and need to be heard.
Okay, and so would I be posting about this though?
Like, absolutely, absolutely.
Like a grid, a grid post though.
Well, we'll talk about strategy in a second. I just wanted to get somebody who will talk about strategy in one second. So I'm gonna jump into actual, the kind of actual strategy around it. Okay, so what we have to be thinking about is when it comes to visibility and this is like the pre, pre launch, right? We're back at the pre, pre launch, we're thinking about that. Visibility is the most important thing. Back in the days of, in 2020, you could go 2021, you could go on Instagram, post a master class, and you'd get 20 people sign up. You could post one Instagram, post around, hey, this is my new offer. And 20 people would sign up, right? Like that's how simple it used to be. Right now it's slightly different. People see the ads, people see through the like, oh, they want to help me. No, they want to sell to me, right? So like, that's what we really need to be thinking about. So yes, we want to be posting, but we need to be building you as an authority, first of all.
Right?
So if you saw someone posting about like, hey, I'm gonna help you, I'm gonna help you make your first $5,000, right? You've never spoken to them, you've never met them, why would you believe them? You wouldn't, right? Like, you wouldn't be like, oh yeah, they're definitely gonna be able to help me. But if you'd seen someone who's posting, who's posted the receipts of their, of their, their bank account, who has shared like, I did this and this is what I've done and you've seen that. And they started building that trust and then suddenly they're like, I've been sharing this for like 2, 3 weeks about how I made this much money and how I've done this and I've got the receipts and I've got the proof, and then suddenly they're like, hey, I'm hosting a master class on how to have your first 5k month. You are going to trust that person 100 times more because they have built something, right? So launches, we think about launches. It's like, I'm just going to launch the offer. Actually, the pre work and building it is the most important thing. And making sure that people see you as an authority, people see you as the go to person. And that really comes back into like the pre, pre launch hype is Making sure that, like, we're networking, we're speaking to people, we're getting in front of people, we're reaching out to, our former colleagues, people that we've worked with before, ex clients, anyone who's ever messaged you, being like, hey, you're such an inspirational. Oh, that's really cool that you've done this.
Right?
And that's what we want to be connecting with, what we can also be thinking about at that stage. If you're like, but what do I say to them? We can even be saying, like, hey, I'm launching this free challenge masterclass in the next few weeks. I wanted to send it to you first. I'm doing this to help people do X, Y and Z. Like, would love for you to share or join it. Join or join if. Sorry, would love for you to share it or join if you feel like it could be for you. Or I'd love for you to join or you can share it with someone else who you think, think might find this useful, right? Like, we need to start seeding those. When you start planting those seeds, right, and like, really kind of building up that warm pool of people who are interested in what we're doing and what we're saying. So I think for each and every one of you, it's, if you haven't already, but it's identifying where do your ideal clients hang out, right? Like, I wish I could say to you, just post three times on Instagram and you're gonna get a bunch of people coming in. That's not how Instagram or the algorithm works anymore. We have to be connecting with people. We have to be adding value. Like, I was looking at Instagram yesterday and I was like, every single ad and every single thing that comes up, for me, obviously being in the coaching space is like, buy this, do this, buy that. And I was like, I'm fatigued with seeing all of these different things coming up from coaches I've never even seen before that have no, like, credibility for me. Like, I don't know you, I've never seen you before. Versus when I see a coach who has been posting value, has been positioning themselves as an authority. Say, like, I'm running a free challenge, and then like, oh, okay, I trust this person. So trusting someone is so important. That is done through building up that time, right? If you are going into consulting, this is the time where on LinkedIn you are going to want to be posting about you being so credible. You are going to want to be posting about why you are incredible at consulting. In that industry and that department. And then it's thinking. So for example, if you are a, if you are an HR consultant, let's just say for argument, or you're a tax consultant, whatever kind of consultant you're going to be, you want to be hosting a master class that is like as an HR consultant, it's like here, like, I'm going to teach you how to run the best recruitment process. I'm going to teach you how to run the best HR process. I'm going to teach you how to decrease your employee turnover in, I don't know, by 10, like 20, 100, whatever that looks like, right? So what we need to be thinking about inside of these master classes, these challenges, these spaces that we're creating, why would someone want to attend? Why do they care enough to attend? Because if they don't, they're not going to attend. If they don't feel it solves a big enough problem, they are not going to attend. If they don't feel that it's worth their time, they're not going to spend an hour actually on that and then not showing up, right? So you got to think about the people that bought the back of the Freedom Circle. I had a few people sign up for the Freedom Circle. Then I had a few people actually sign up one to one with me off the back of the challenge because they realized they needed more of that one to one. But every single person that signed up to work with me showed up for at least four of the five calls in the week, right? They showed up for four of the five because they saw value in it, right? They saw the value in showing up and they were like, this is actually worth my time. So what we want to be thinking about is not hosting like a really generic challenge or masterclass, like how to become the best version of you.
Right?
Or how to how to ensure your company runs smoothly. That's not specific enough. You cannot be an expert at all of those things. But if we can message people and say, hey, I'm running a free challenge to help you do desired thing, they're going to want to jump in and sign up, right? So that's what we want to be thinking about. So before we officially launch, there's now like the pre launch, which is the challenge or the masterclass, right? So we've got the pre, pre launch, which is the building, the foundations, The Trust, the LinkedIn post, the Cold messaging, the messaging to ex colleagues, employees, right? Then the next bit is the actual pre launch, which is the running of the Challenge, the launching of the masterclass. The launching of the challenge, right? And the great thing about this is you can build really fast trust that's massively value packed and you can give them a transformation in a really, really short amount of time. That's why live things work so well, because people know what it's like to work with you and they can understand, actually, wow. If I can work with further in one day, imagine what this would look like. Oh, my God. I can work with Jesse for like an hour and a half on this masterclass she's hosting. Imagine what it would be like for me and my teen to work with her for six months.
Wow.
Imagine what would happen. And that's really what we want to think about, right, Is how do you create the most blowing away? Oh, my gosh. This is the transformation I've been looking for, right? When we're running the challenge and we're thinking about the challenge, it has to be like the biggest fucking deal and like the big, biggest thing you've ever done. Like, I need you to treat this like it's the biggest thing you've ever done. Like, oh my God, this is so important, right? Like, this isn't just a challenge. Like, this is literally going to change your life. Like, if you come to this and even if you don't end up working with me, this challenge alone or this master class alone is going to help you do X, Y and Z. And that's how we really want to do it, right? This is a really good chance to get visible, to have a proof, to show that you can help them actually do their ideal things, right? People can then get FOMO from it and be like, oh my gosh, the masterclass looked really good. Wow, I really want to go to that, right? So that's what we want to be thinking about and we'll talk about how we do that. But what we want to be thinking about is when we're going into this masterclass or when we're going into this challenge, it needs to be like the biggest thing you've ever done, right? Like, you need to be like, this is an industry leading master. This is the best thing. And this requires a version of you to show up and really believe about your work. Work, right? This requires a version of you to show up and be like, this is genuinely the most important thing I've done in my career to date, right? Like, I'm hosting a master class as a consultant for X, Y and Z companies, right? Whoever are the hiring people, that's who you Want to think about? Well, I'm hosting this master class as, like, the coach who helps women do X, Y and Z. Like, I am the go to. I am the authority in that. And I have run one challenge and like a bunch of master classes. And I tell you, this time around, when I did the challenge, I was like, I'm going all in. There is no, like, this is kind of cute, so you should join. I was like, this is a really big deal. Like, if you don't join, if you say you want to leave to your 9 to 5 and you're not joining, it's like, what are you even doing? Right? Like, I made it so clear. I posted photos of the women signing up. The testimonials are working with me. Like, emails. I got so loud. Like, I got so loud on Instagram and LinkedIn. Like, I messaged people being like, hey, I saw that you did this. Like, let's, you know, join the challenge. This is what's going on. Like, I literally made it the biggest thing and so exciting. So that's really what we want to be thinking about, is how are you actually talking? Like, this is the biggest thing and the biggest deal that they'll ever run into. And if they don't take this opportunity, like, like, what are they even doing? And it's not like a what are you even doing? Like, you're silly. It's what are you even doing? Because I'm so good at this, you're going to want to be in my space, you're going to want to be in my energy. And this is what we need to be thinking about. So we've got the pre. Pre work, the visibility, the LinkedIn messages, the doing all of that. Then we've got the pre launch, which is the challenge, the masterclass, right? What we probably want to do is I would say you want to give yourself three. You want to give yourself three weeks from when you launch the Challenge Masterclass, when you actually do the Challenge Masterclass, right? So what we want to think about is the pre. Pre work is two weeks and then we've got the pre work, which is the Challenge Masterclass, which is three weeks. And then what we want to do is inside of the challenge or Masterclass, we want to be selling into our offer. And that then becomes the launch. That then becomes the launch in that moment. And what then happens in that launch is that becomes like the. That becomes the pre launch. That becomes like the pre launch of it. The early, you know, we'll call it the early birds. We don't need that. We'll call it the Early Bird. So it's like the Early Bird launch, right? Where people can get bonuses and they can get discounts and they can get no brainer things. And we want to run that for maybe like a week, 10 days, two weeks max. And it's all behind the scenes. It's only for the people that have been in the challenge. It's only for the people that have been inside the masterclass. It's only for the people that have like booked that call with you, whatever that looks like.
Right?
So it's like, it gets really, really exciting. And what we then want to be doing is posting it, being like, oh my gosh, one of the people that showed up has just hired me as a consultant. Like, she said that I was the exact person that she was looking for in her team and she's been looking for someone like me that hasn't existed. Or oh my gosh, this woman who attended it just to learn a little bit more about how to do X, Y. And Zed has just hired me because she said after that that I was like the missing piece. Like, whatever that looks like. We then want to be posting that and sharing that and making it so hyped and so exciting. And then what we want to do from there, after we do the two weeks, that's when we can like officially launch and be like, you've probably seen, I hosted this challenge. I hosted this masterclass. This is what's been happening. We've been selling XYZ spots. This is what's been going on. And oh my gosh, I'm so excited to finally launch this with you.
Right?
So if we look at how that framework looks, we've got the pre, pre launch, then we've got the pre launch, which is the challenge or the masterclass, and then we have the Early Bird launch for like two weeks. And then we have the launch. Most of us, us, when we launch, we start at the final start, we start at the launch, and we're like, hey, here's my offer, here's what I'm doing. So what we want to be thinking about is what is that build up that we need to do? And I think about it like getting married or dating.
Right?
The launch is the marriage.
Right?
Like the launch is the marriage. We don't just suddenly wake up and be like, I'm going to marry this person. We want to date. We need to get to know them. And then they become your girlfriend or boyfriend and then you get engaged and then you get married. Married. It's exactly the same strategy is that we have to warm our audience up to get them to know like, and trust us and then actually they can then buy from us. So that's kind of the framework that I always work towards. And exactly what I do. I'm at the stage where actually obviously I did the challenge, now I'm in the launch and actually I'm going to do like a mid, a kind of mid launch coach master class, just to kind of pull in some more of those people who were kind of on the edge but maybe needed like a little bit more pulling in.
Right.
And again, I don't have an open, closed cart. Mine is always open at any point, as is yours. Most of yours is always open or one to one.
Right.
So we want to be thinking about is we're not using the language of like closing soon or there's, you know, this isn't going to be open forever because it is. But what we can really be using is what are the bonuses, what are the extras? If people come to the challenge to the mother masterclass, what do they get extra?
Right?
Is there an opportunity that like, you know, you can get people to show up and if they, if they then, like, if they then come live to the masterclass, they can book a free call with you where you can coach them on that, or they can book a free 30 minute audit where they can do something exciting. But it's only if they signed up and showed up. Like, there are so many different ways and tactics and things that we can do. But my invitation to you is to really think about, like, how do you want to host that masterclass? How do you want to host that chat challenge? But the one thing I would always say is it needs to be live. People need to be in your energy and they need to see what it's like to work with you, what the transformation you can give to them. Why would they want to join whatever you're doing? Why would they want to jump into your world? Why would they want to partner with you on anything? Like, what does that look like to them? And how do we make sure that actually after that challenge or after that master class, they're like, oh my fucking gosh, that hour, those three hours, that challenge, that day blew me away to the point where I cannot stop thinking about working with this person and imagine what I would get if I actually went and worked with them. So that's kind of the framework that I would be using now, as I said, for each and every one of You. So many of you are in different businesses, right? Some of you are in consulting, freelancing, coaching. The strategy is always the same. The strategy is always the same. Yes. With consulting you can probably get results quicker in the sense you can like reach out to your network and just get them to do things. Yes, absolutely. We want to make sure we're doing that as well. But what we have to be thinking about in terms of running a business is this is a long term game, right? So we actually, even if there's people inside of my challenge who haven't bought from me yet, I don't know if any of you have watched the Meghan Markle podcast where she talks about yet, right? I sound like her. Where she's like, my book proposal hasn't picked up yet, but it's true, the yet word, right? Where it's like, people in my, in my challenge haven't signed up to work with me yet, but they're in my mailing list, they're in my DMs, they're messaging me. They're like doing all of the things. They're seeing what I'm doing, They're seeing the results from my work, they're seeing the testimonials from the women inside of this space, right? So the challenge or the master class isn't necessarily going out of the 20 women or the 10 women or the five women, whoever it is that shows up. If they don't all sign up, it's not like, oh, that was a waste. It's like, I'm actually building my authority and building my network. And that's something else I want you to think about is like, even if you host a master class or you host something or a challenge and five people show up, or three people show up, or one person shows up, you need to hold the same energy as if it's a room full of 100 people. And that's my other thing. My invitation to you is like, who do you want to become in the moments where you launch something and maybe it doesn't take off as quickly as you want? Maybe you launch something and you're like, oh, I thought maybe more people would have signed up. Or in the Masterclass, I had 50 people sign up and only five showed up live. Do you still show up as that version of you who is acting as if there's a hundred people in the room? Or do you go, oh, well, three people have shown up. So this is. Right, that's what we need to be thinking about. Because the version of you that is going to make a shit ton of money and be really successful is the version of you that even when you're starting out and no one shows up or three people show up or no one buys you continue going. And genuinely, I've had master classes. I've had master classes. I've had launches where no one has purchased when I've sat on the call link and no one showed up to the master class. And you know what I did? I filmed it anyway. And I was like, what the time in my diary? I'm gonna film it anyway. And I sent it out to all the people that, that signed up. I sent it out to my whole mailing list. I messaged people being like, hey, I host it. I was like, hey, I recorded this free mask. I changed the narrative. I was like, cool. It's not a live master class, it's a pre recorded one. Hey, I, I like pre recorded a master class for you. I'd love it to you or there was a version of me that could have gone, well, no one showed up. Let me shut my laptop and let me just leave for the day. But actually, it's the decision we make in those moments and it's going to be scary. Like challenges and master classes and being vulnerable and getting people to sign up is really, really, really scary. Because there's that feeling of what if people don't sign up? So the what if people don't sign up? People don't sign up. We change the messaging. We go again, right? Someone asked me this the other day when I was in a session with them and they're in the middle of launching at the moment. Well, they're about to launch. And they were like, what if no one signs up for this launch? I said, okay, so what, what do you think the solution is for that? They're like, oh, well, I just scrap it and I try something different. I'm like, you go again, you go again, you go again.
Right?
And I talk about it like this. When we're children. I think I've shared this with all of you before. Like, when we're children and we're learning to walk, we don't fall over twice and go, you know what? I just don't think walking's for me. Like, I'm just gonna give it a mess. We don't do that because we haven't learned what failure is. We haven't learned what it feels like to be rejected, to not be different. I'm like, you go again, you go again. You fucking go again.
Right?
And I Talk about it like this. When we're children. I think I've shared this with all of you before. Like, when we're children and we're learning to walk, we don't fall over twice and go, you know what? I just don't think walking's for me. Like, I'm just gonna give it a miss. We don't do that because we haven't learned what failure is. We haven't learned what it feels like to be rejected, to not get something on the first try. As kids, we fall, like, hundreds and hundreds of times, and we still get back up and we go again until we achieve it. But as adults, when we. Like when something doesn't go to plan once, we see it as a failure, and we're like, well, I've launched one thing once, and if no one's bought that, it means I'm not good enough at this. But as a kid, it's like, oh, well, I tried to walk, I smacked my head, I got a few stitches, and I'm still gonna try and go again. And so actually, what I want each and every one of you to think about is going in with this energy of, like, this is a really big deal. And the people that need to see this are going to see this. Whether it's one person, whether it's three people, whether it's 10 people, whoever it is that is meant to see this is going to see this. And the people that don't see it are not the ones that need to see this. Maybe it's not the right time for them. Maybe it's not the right time for you to invite. Maybe they're not the right clients for you. But what I really want you to think about energetically going into something like this, a master class or a launch, is who do you need to become in order to hold that space, regardless of what happens? Because if you host masterclass and two people sign up, there is no reason that those two people cannot be ideal dream clients and sign up and work with you and refer other business to you, and bam, there it works. Or there's a version of you that goes, well, it's only two people. I'm not going to do it. It's probably not worth it. It because those two people are there for a reason, right? Like, if you were hosting something in person and three people showed up, you'd be like, cool. Three people have bought something. Wow. Like, that's cool. If you launched a shop and three people walked in, you'd be like, oh, my God, three people Here, they want to buy something. But we're in a world of the online space where things are inflated, which is like, I had 100,000 people shop to my masterclass. I had 20,000 people sign up. Great. And I'm so happy for you that you had that. Like, I love that, that. But actually, when you're starting out and you're building something, you may have a few people show up. And that's okay. It's more than okay. And as you get comfortable over time of building master classes and building that momentum, you're then able to say like, that was a big deal, but like, this is going to be the biggest thing ever. And wow, this master class is going to be 10 times bigger. And we learn to trust ourselves and build that. But we all have to do our first master class. We all have to do our first challenge. We all have to do the things that make us feel uncomfortable. Because actually, yes, Instagram is powerful, yes, messaging is powerful. But there is nothing more powerful and potent than being live with someone, feeling their energy, seeing their passion, understanding what they're doing. And the fact that like you can get these results for people is going to be the most important thing that they need to see. So to go back through that framework, we've got the pre, pre launch, which is two weeks. We then have the pre launch, which is when we're going to be launching the masterclass and the challenge, which is again three weeks. We're then going to have the early bird launch, which is going to be two weeks, which is only going to be for people who have signed up to the challenge or the masterclass. And then we are going to officially launch. And when we're thinking about what that means to launch, posting emails, whatever, there isn't a set number of posts that you need to do a LinkedIn that you need to do. You just need to get, and I want you to have my voice in the back of your head. You just need to get fucking visible. Three posts a day if you want to do that. One post a week, three posts on LinkedIn messaging. Whatever feels right for you is what you need to do. But I will let you into this. The more you post, the more you connect, the more visible you are going to be. Take from that what you want. But the more you post, the more you connect, the more visible and the more opportunity you are going to be creating for yourself. So from that thing that I want you to start thinking about is building out this campaign around what this masterclass looks like, what this challenge looks like, really be thinking about what value can I add to my ideal client in an hour, in two hours, in three hours across a challenge, what does that look like? How can I really show them that I am the expert in this space and they need to come and work with me? And they're going to be absolutely blown away by this work. Right at the end of my challenge, I cannot tell you how many messages I got that was like, oh, my gosh. Like, that was insane. I cannot believe you ran this for five days. Like, this is honestly the best thing ever. I'm already doing X, I'm already doing Y. And then I shared all those testimonials and shared all of those things.
Right.
And now when I host my masterclass in like, a weeks, in like, two weeks time, which I'm launching, I'm going to be sharing those testimonials, being like, I'm doing a little encore for one day. I'm doing this masterclass for one hour. This is what people said about the challenge. This is what people said about working with me. These are the people that have jumped into my space. Like, this is why you should come work with me. This is why you should come to this free thing that I'm doing. Wow, look at what we got. But you have to start building it up from something somewhere. So with that said, I just want to see if there's any initial questions that anyone has off the back of that. And obviously, we'll have our Q and A on Wednesday as usual. But I just want to see if anyone had anything that had, like, come up for them, because I know that this stage can feel a little bit overwhelming. So does anyone have any questions at this stage? Third, let me unmute you.
Hello. Hi.
Hello. How are you?
Yeah, good, thank you. So initially, I was gonna do a masterclass with someone else who was a bit more experienced than me, but then I thought that probably wouldn't work as well, because then when it comes to getting leads and things, I might do myself a disservice by having them on my page.
Yeah.
So, yeah. And obviously for me, it's a bit difficult. Am I the master class? Would it be about the water or would it be about the business opportunity?
It really depends. For you, like, what do you. I think what we also need to think about with yours and yours is a bit of a unique one.
Right.
What we want to be thinking about is, like, we could probably do something which is more like, how to start living a more holistic life. Like, something like that. That's Going to pull people in versus, like, like, you should come buy this product. You should do this. Right? So it's like, the person that's gonna buy the offer, what. What are they looking for?
Right?
Like, who are they? What are they looking for? What feels exciting to them? So I would be thinking about creating a master class that is, like, how to start living a more holistic life by making simple changes. And it's like, I'm gonna be hosting a masterclass which is going to talk you through the five simple things you need to do to start making changes. So, like, four of them would be things that they can do at home. This. They can do it this. But it would all link back to what the product is. Okay, cool.
I am going to do. Yeah, perfect. I was going to do the video last week, at the end of last week, but then obviously my daughter got ill and then I wasn't looking my best. So I will hopefully do that tomorrow.
Yes, I would do that. And then I would be hosting a masterpiece podcast around that. It's like, how to live a more holistic life. And it's like, I love the video that you did with your daughter the other day that was like, you know, cleaning the fruits and, like, making that smoothie and stuff. And it's like, that needs to link back to what the offer is. Like, that needs to link back to what the product is that you're selling. So that's the kind of masterclass that I would be posting. And I think you also, I love the fact that you were like, I probably shouldn't do it with someone else. Yeah, you shouldn't. Like, we want to make sure that you are the authority, and I'll share this with you. When I first started my coaching business, I partnered with someone else because I thought that working with them would, like, give me more leverage. And actually, it didn't really work out. We launched this offer. It didn't really work because we were misaligned in what our visions were. And we were also, like, I wanted to do one thing and she wanted to know, which was fine. She's one of my best friends and I love her. But what I realized was actually, like, I, I, I have the power and the authority of myself. I don't need someone else to do that, and neither do you. Like, you don't need someone else to leverage. Like, you have all of that within you. Like, you obviously know the product that you're talking about. You're passionate about it. Like, I think we go all in and make this, like, an insane masterclass, which is like, here's how to live holistically. Here's how to do this, here's how to do that, and make it, like, the biggest thing. And then the solution is. And here's the offer that you can buy.
I think the thing is, you're so confident in your everyday life, but as it comes to, like, the business, you just become like this. Really, for me, I just become like, this wimp.
Why do you think that is?
I don't know. I just. I've, like, lost confidence in myself, and I just need to build that back up again.
Yeah. And I think. I think one thing as well you have to think about is, like, I come across really confident, right? Like, I come across soon. I wasn't always confident. I won't. Like, I'm not gonna lie to you. I've always been very loud and outspoken, but I spent a lot of time worrying about what people thought. Like, I'd say things and then I'd go home and I'd be like, oh, my God. I said too much. I share too much. Now I'm like, if I'm too much, that's fine. Like, go find less. Like, if you don't like my masterclass and it's too much to cool, there are other coaches out there for you. You don't have to work with me. No one's forcing you to work with me. My personality isn't for everyone, and that's okay, and I'm okay with that. But I think what you really have to think about is when you're so passionate about the work that you do and you can really show up. There is so much authenticity in the work that I do. There's so much authenticity in the work that all of you do because you're so aligned with it. I think for you, one thing that we really need to figure out is, like, how you talk about why you're so passionate. It's like, yes, it's the health, but it's your kid. It's like your daughter. It's being a solo parent. Like, this is why you're so passionate about this. It's not about. It's not about the product that I'm selling. It's about the life that you're living.
Right.
Like, when I show up and talk about my office, it's not about the freedom circle. It's not about selling out spaces. It's about people creating freedom and me creating freedom. Like, that's where the passion comes from. So I think for you, it's like, what do the people desperately want? They want to live a holistic life. They want to live a wellness, a life of wellness that feels really good for them because they want to be around for their kids, they want to live longer for their kids. They want to make more money for their kids. They want to do all of that. So actually, we need to lead with that and then sell into that offer. Yeah. Yeah. Amazing. Amazing. Well, I'm so excited to see all of the master classes and all of the challenges and everything that you share. There's anything that you want me to review, obviously, you can share it in the review channel. If not, I will see you all on Wednesday for the Q and A.
You.
Bye, ladies.
Bye.
