MODULE 18: Meeting your higher self

A coaching-style YouTube module ("MODULE 18: Meeting your higher self") by Emma Naylor-Weston guiding entrepreneurs to embody a higher-version identity to scale their businesses faster. The speaker argues that strategy alone is insufficient: identity and nervous-system safety determine whether one can hold power, money, and visibility. Core obstacles named are an "employee" mindset, people-pleasing ("good girl" energy), and strategic overthinking. The middle of the session leads listeners through a visualization and journaling exercise to 'meet' their higher self, followed by practical prescriptions: adopt a higher-self filter ("Would she do this?"), use trigger-interrupts to stop old patterns, prioritize rest, movement and nourishment, raise standards/prices, and accept relational losses that accompany growth. The module closes with an invitation to choose five daily decisions that the higher self would make and to begin acting from that identity now.
I wanted to talk about something that has come up in conversation with a few of our guest speakers and a few of you kind of one to one. So today I really, really want to talk about meeting your higher self. Okay? Meeting the version of you that is that next level. We've worked so much on strategy, we've worked so much on frameworks, so much around the implementation of everything that we've learned. But actually what I really want to work on today is meeting that higher version of you. The identity upgrade that collapses time, that collapses doubt, that really stops you playing small and actually allows you to get to where you want to get to in your business much, much quicker. So I don't just want to sit here and make you watch visualization or think about, you know, what you could do. I actually want us to start working through and activating the version of you that builds, that leads, that sells and rises like it's already done. So the goals that you have and the things that you're working towards in order to activate that, we need to behave and show up that it's already done. Because the version of you that you think is on the way, she's already here, okay? That version of you is already here. But what we spend a lot of time doing is overthinking, undercharging, doubting ourselves for us to actually be able to hear her. Right? So that's really going to end today. And what I really wanted to start by talking about was trying to build a six or seven figure business with a five figure identity is never going to work, right? And I want you to like really burn this into your brain, that actually building a six or seven figure from a five figure identity is never going to work. If your nervous system doesn't feel safe holding power, money or visibility, you will sabotage it. So when I mean around safe holding money, I have a lot of clients that speak to me and come to me and say, you know, I have no issue making money, I have issue holding on to money. And that is because a lot of the time it doesn't feel safe to have that amount of money. It doesn't feel safe to be able to hold on to that. So what we end up doing is we can make a shit ton of money, we can make all of this money, but actually what ends up happening is we end up spending it or we end up stretching. It doesn't feel safe to hold this much power. So we start calling in all of these incredible clients and then that voice in the back of our head says, yes, but what if you can't serve them? What if you can't hold this capacity? So then what happens is we stop showing up and the clients start dwindling. So before we go into any more strategy, content sales, which of course we're going to continue to do, we have to stop at this point and think about what is the identity upgrade that we need to have. Okay, So I kind of have broken this down into a few little pieces. So thinking about the activation of you, who leads your business with boldness and belief, a full breakdown of the loop of the patterns. Because of course, if we want to upgrade, we need to identify what those old patterns are. We want to thinking about like the direct line to your future self, so how that looks. And then we want to start thinking about how to map out how to live, decide and show up as her every single day. So I really want to start by thinking of who the fuck is your higher self, right? Like who is that? And sometimes we hear that wording and it can feel quite fluffy, right? It can feel a little bit fluffy in the way of this higher self. It feels a little bit too spiritual. It feels a little bit woo woo. I was listening to a podcast the other day with Mel Robbins and one of her guest speakers and one thing that he was saying around manifestation and about your higher self is it actually couldn't be less woo woo if we tried. It's actually scientific, right? So for anyone that's sat here thinking, this feels a bit woo woo, it feels a bit fluffy. I want you to think there's actual science behind this and obviously we can go into that a little bit more. But when we're talking about who is your higher self, she's not like a fantasy. She's not just like a one day version, I'll have her. The highest version of yourself is the most fully expressed, financially empowered, grounded version of you. And she already exists. So there will be moments in your life where you allow your higher self to show up and there will be moments of your life where you dim her light. Okay? So I want you to think about the times where you've spoken with conviction, where you've made moves before someone has told you it's okay. When you have done something and not felt like you have to explain where you felt like you really led something, where you've said, oh, I don't have proof that this can happen, but I'm going to do it anyway. That is the highest version of you leading, right? So it is that person that speaks with conviction, that Makes moves that don't make sense, that doesn't explain her prices. When she's speaking to clients, that does things before it's perfect, right? And the version of you that exists is just waiting for you to meet her where she is. Okay? She's waiting for you to meet her where she is. And when we're thinking about this second piece, there's a few reasons why you may be sitting there thinking, but I'm ready to meet her. How do I do that? And the reason a lot of the time why we haven't met her yet is because we're stuck in an old identity, right? We're stuck in an old identity. And that can look like a few things, right? The first thing, it can be like an employee brain, an employee mindset, which is when we're in a nine to five, we play it safe. We have the rule book, we follow the rules, we wait to be chosen, we're given permission. We don't have to map things out our own. And that's one of the reasons why it might be hard to get to that stage for you. Because actually you're playing it safe, you're playing it small. There's also the good girl people pleasing side of this, right? Which is the over apologizing, underpricing, constantly feeling like we have to do something for someone else. Like every. We're in that good girl energy. We call it that good girl energy of I need to do this, I can't upset people, I can't say this. That's not the highest version of you, because what you are doing is you are dimming her light to try and make other people happy. And so therefore it's really hard to feel safe to do that. Because actually it's like, how can we feel safe to do something if we know what we're gonna say is going to ruffle some feathers? And so when we're thinking about from like a content perspective or a business perspective or anything we need to be thinking about, are we just in the good girl energy of not saying anything that's going to ruffle people's feathers because actually we're scared about hurting them. And therefore you're not fully speaking in your truth, you're not fully speaking with conviction, you're not fully leaning into your prices and fully knowing that this is what you're meant to be charging. And then the final piece is really that str. Like that overthinking, the strategic overthinking, right? So like intellectualizing every single decision until that moment's actually gone right until that moment's actually gone. And last week I woke up on Monday and I was like, oh, what would feel really fun that doesn't make sense to sell? Like, what would be really fun that doesn't on paper really make sense. And I was like, oh, I want to launch three six week summer sprints. And I think that would be really fun to do. So I did that and I fully went in and I didn't overthink and I didn't have a sales page and I didn't do all of that. But it was the highest version of me going, this would feel really good for my clients and this would feel really exciting. And so I did it and I sold three spots last week because I didn't sit in that I should be doing this, I need to wait to do this, Right? And so what we want to be thinking about is your current identity is trying to solve problems that actually your higher self isn't even dealing with them anymore, right? So it's like your current identity is trying to go, should I do this? Should I do that? And actually that higher version of you isn't even thinking about that, right? So if last week, if I had gone, well, you know, I need a sales page and I need a checkout page. I need this. That is the current version of me. My higher self is like, no, we're going to put an offer out and people are going to buy it. And so that's what we really want to be thinking about is are you currently sitting in that energy of I have to do things logically, I have to do it this way versus actually the moment feels really nice, Let me do this, let me launch this. And that's what you want to be thinking about. I was talking to a client of mine the other day who's just launched. She's one to one client, she's just launched a Breathwork certification. We were talking and she was like, you know, I've got four people signed up and it's going to start in October. And I was like, why are we starting in October? Why are we not starting in August? She was like, well, you know, I want people and this, but you've got four people. Let's keep that momentum, let's keep going. Her brain had said, more time equals more people. So she was intellectualizing the decision that actually had gone, you've got four people, let's get momentum, let's get them on a call, let's give them bonus calls, let's get things moving, let's get more money in your bank account. So if you want to have a new level of business, if you want to have a new level of clients that you work with, if you want to bring in all of that money and everything that you need to do, you need to have a new standard of self. And therefore, that's no longer thinking like an employee. It's no longer thinking like a good girl. It's no longer overthinking things. It's actually moving and doing all of those things. Okay? So I want us to really go in and meet and meet this person. Okay, so we're gonna go in. So what I want each and every one of you to do right now, if it feels safe to do so obviously only if it feels safe, is I want you to grab a pen and paper, if you have one nearby, set that to the side. Once you've got it, and then once you feel comfortable, I really just want you to lean in and close your eyes, okay? I want you to close your eyes and just get a little bit more comfortable. Okay? Now what I want you to think about is I want you to close your eyes and really lean into where you are right now. Okay? So think about the clothes that you're wearing, who you currently are, what that feels like, your feet on the ground, right? And now I want you to move away from that version of you, and I want you to almost start your day again, but I want you to start your day waking up as the version of you that already leads and has the business that you crave. So I want you to imagine waking up on a Monday morning like you did this morning, but it's the new version of you. What is she feeling? Where is she? What are the first things that she's thinking about? If you think about her bank account and she's thinking about checking it, what do those numbers look like? What's in her bank account right now? When she looks at those numbers? Is it $100,000 cash? Is it $500,000 cash that she can see? Is it a million dollars cash that you can see? And when she closes her bank account and opens her calendar or her laptop, what does her schedule look and feel like? Is it back to back with client calls that you cannot wait to do? Is it completely blank, knowing that your business is running on autopilot? Is it multiple clarity calls with dream clients that you've dreamt about working with for so long? And when she goes to look at her phone, who's messaging her? Is it clients? Is it her virtual assistant? Is it people wanting to collaborate with her? Is it dream clients sending you emails? Who is messaging you? And when you think about your offers and what you're doing, what is your energy around that? How do you feel when you're launching new offers? How do you feel when you're thinking about selling your programs or getting on sales calls? Is the energy excited? Is it ready? What is that dream energy you really want to feel around that? And I want you to listen to how she speaks. What's different about the way that she speaks, that dream version of you that's running that business? How does she speak? What is she saying? What are the conversations that she's engaging with and what are the conversations she's not engaging with? How does she dress? How does she walk? How does she sell? How does she show up? Now, I really want you to think about that again. Look at your surroundings. What are the feelings that are coming up for you? What is that energy that's currently surrounding her? What would you say to the old version of you? You're looking at the old version of you dead in the eye. What would you say? What would you tell her? What would you let her know? What does she need to. And now what I really want you to do is hold on to this version of you. But don't suffocate it. Hold it on. Bring it with you back as you. As you start feeling into your body again, bring this version of you, as you start feeling into your body again, you feel that this version of you is with you. And I want you to start moving your hands and your feet and start feeling your physical body back again. But this new version of you is with you. And now what I want you to do when it feels safe to do so, is I want you to go ahead and open your eyes. I want you to feel into that new version of you, and I want you to grab your pen and paper if you have it close by, and if not, you can write it on your phone notes or you can write it on your laptop. And I just want to give you five minutes to just journal out what's coming up for you. I want you to journal about what came up for you, what thoughts ran through your head, what thoughts are running through your head right now? What do you need to remember from that experience that we just went through? So I'm going to give you five minutes just to start journaling that out. Okay? So now that we've taken five minutes to start thinking around what really came, what really came through, what I really Want to talk about now is when we're writing things out in our journal, when we're really feeling that and it's coming through. You're not imagining her, you're remembering her. Okay? And that's really what I want you to think about. So when we sit here and we do these visualizations, that's not coming from. No way. It's coming from somewhere. It's coming from your subconscious, it's coming from your desires. So actually that version of you already exists. If you didn't want something, you wouldn't be desiring it, right? We can look at people who have things that are incredible on paper, but we don't want it because it's not meant for us. Okay, I'm going to give you a really good example. A friend of mine recently bought a horse. Okay. She was actually a client and then she became friend. She recently bought a horse. And I was like, wow, that's amazing. Like, she spent like, you know, $200,000 on pounds on this horse. She got a stable, she got all of this stuff. And I was like, wow. But there was not one ounce of me that wanted it not because I don't think horses are great. And I think it's so cool what she's done, but that's not meant for me. And I think it's so cool that she's done that. And I think it's amazing that she has spent her hard earned money on that. But it does nothing for me. It does absolutely nothing for me. However, I recently saw that one of my mentors had her first $250,000 cash month. Oh, that made me feel something. That made me think, oh, I want that. And that's the difference between knowing something you can admire, something that's great, but it's not for you. And I guarantee whoever, whoever's listening to this, whoever's watching this, each and every person who is listening to this, when I was talking you through, where is she? What's in her bank account? What does her schedule feel like? Who's messaging her? Each and every one of you will have very, very different answers. Your journal will also look very, very different. And that's because the desires are for you. And as I said, you're not imagining her. It's not something that we all want. You're actually remembering her and feeling into that. And something that we have to. Something that we have to remember is our body and brain doesn't know the difference between reality and like make believe, right? So like that feeling that you get where you're like, oh, imagine $100,000 coming into my bank account. Our body doesn't know the difference between whether it's happened or whether it actually. Whether it has happened or has. Hasn't happened, right? So we want to be thinking about is if we are constantly sitting in the energy of, oh, well, when this happens and when this does, our body's like, yeah, but that's so far away versus when we can start talking about, I can see that she's got this much in her bank account. This is how she feels. And then we start behaving and doing all of that. That's where it comes 10 times quicker. And that's where you can actually leap and meet that version of yourself much, much quicker. Okay? And what we want to be thinking about is how do you become her daily, right? And this isn't about being like delusional and just being like, oh, I'll just fake it till I make it. That's like the worst thing that we can think about, right? What we want to be thinking about is like that next version of you is just a woman in her power, like, if that is what it is. And as I said, for each and every one of you, that desire and that goal will be completely different. But what would it feel like? And I want you to have a think about this. What would it feel like to fully surrender and step into that version of her today, right? The version of her that has that big bank account, that has that schedule. And I know you're probably thinking, yeah, but can I just decide to have that money? Can I just change up that schedule? What we want to be thinking about is like the higher self filter, okay? And what I mean by this is every decision that you make and you think about, I want you to ask yourself, would she do this? Would the higher version of you, would she do this? Okay? And I found myself the other day in a conversation that was quite an uncomfortable conversation. My friend started talking about someone who was another kind of mutual friend of ours. And I was on the phone with her and I sat there and I thought, would the higher version of me sit here and listen to someone else bitching and being rude? Or would the higher version of me say, hey, listen, actually I'm really uncomfortable with this conversation and I want to move on from it. And as difficult as that was to say, because obviously we don't want to upset anyone because we go back to that good girl and we go back to that people pleasing. There was the higher version of me that was like, Emma, you don't have time to be engaging in this drama in this crap. And that was that highest self filter of would this version of me do that? Would the version of me go into a coffee shop and go, oh, no, that's too expensive? Or would that version of me go, actually, it's not a priority. Now, I'm not telling you have to go into a coffee shop and buy $10 coffee. That's not the point in it. But the version is. Would that version of you go in and go, I can't afford it. This is too expensive. Or would she go, actually, you know what? $10 coffee right now is not a priority for me because I have other things. The type of language that you're using is so important because if we constantly tell ourselves we can't afford things, guess what? We're never going to be able to afford things. It's not about going in and blowing a $10,000, like $10,000 in a handbag. It's going, oh, actually, is that a priority? No, it's not a priority. Let me, let me, let me prioritize other things. And what I want you to think about is every single decision that you're making, is it coming from that higher version of you, or is it still coming from the smaller version of you that is scared to be truthful, that is scared to really lean in? Where is that version coming from? You. I also want you to think about in the morning when you're waking up. What are the conversations that you're starting with? Right? What are the conversations that you're starting with? Are you starting waking up and going, oh, I'm already behind. I'm ready doing this? Or are you, like looking in the mirror? Are you sitting there saying, like, I'm gonna move differently, I'm gonna lead differently Today I'm deciding that the things I want are already done. What are those internal conversations that you are having? It was so interesting. I was on a call with my mom earlier. I speak to my mom about 100 times a day. But I was on one of our first morning calls this morning, and I was on the phone to her and I was asking her to send me a screenshot of something I wanted, like, I think was like a flight or something. And she said, oh, you're so stupid. And I was like, oh, are you talking to me? And she went, gosh, no, I'd never call you stupid. And I said, then why did you just call yourself stupid? And she was like, oh, well, I'm talking to myself. And I said, but there's no difference between me calling you stupid and and you calling yourself stupid. There's no difference. Someone calling you fat and you calling yourself fat. There's no difference in someone saying you're not good enough versus you telling yourself you're not good enough. Our brain doesn't know the difference. It knows the feelings. It may seem like it hurts more coming from someone else, but that's our conscience. That's our conscious brain, not our subconscious brain. And so if you are constantly telling yourself, I'm amazing, this is great. Everyone wants to work with me. I'm so incredible. Your brain is going to fully start believing that. And that's what we need to be thinking about, is how are we telling ourselves every single day what's possible? How are we leading differently? How are we deciding differently? Last week I decided I was going to sell three spots in the summer sprint, and I sold three spots in the summer sprint. And it's nothing to do with strategy. And I've been speaking to so many, like multi six and seven figure entrepreneurs in the last few weeks, and every single time I have an opportunity to speak to any of them, my biggest question to them is, what is more important, the strategy or the mindset or the inner work? And every single person gave me the same answer, which was, it's around 80% mindset work and 20% strategy, but yet we focus on the 20% of strategy because that's what we feel we can control. It doesn't feel productive going to do some breath work. It doesn't feel productive taking time offline. But actually that inner work and that mindset work is so much more productive. And the version of you that is ready to show up isn't constantly running between meetings, she's not constantly skipping breakfast, she's not constantly saying, oh, gosh, I'm so late, I'm running around. This is crazy. She's moving differently. She's moving in a way that's slower, that feels better. And so actually, in order to get to that next level, your nervous system needs to feel safe. Your body needs to trust that it's safe to hold more. And what we want to be thinking about that is resting, like the higher version of you moving and working out, like the higher version of you eating and fueling, like the higher version of you, because I guarantee the higher version of you that's making six multi, seven figures a year is not just grabbing something from the fridge. She's taking the time, she's making food, she's prepping she's not just grabbing something out of the fridge and running to her next meeting. She's fueling herself properly. She's thinking about what she does, she's thinking about who she's spending time with. She thinks about the conversations that she has. I know and guarantee that women who are building seven figure businesses don't have time to be involved in petty things or make excuses about why they can't go to the gym. They find time to go to the gym. And so actually teaching your nervous system to be able to hold more by actually doing less. Breath, work, movement, resting, fueling properly, moving properly, having downtime, closing your laptop when you need to. And the final thing we want to be thinking about and really stepping into her right now is trigger interrupts. Okay, so when old patterns are coming up, I want you to literally say, stop, no, no, we're not doing this. And I want you to ask yourself, who am I being right now? Am I being the old version of me or am I being the new version of me? And I'll let you in. There was a woman who of. Of the. Not of the three, of another woman who I thought I was going to sign up to work with me on Friday. We had a really great clarity call. She said, yep, send me over the document, send me over the papers. Good to go, Send her. The link. Absolutely ghosted me. And for a split second I sat there and I was like, why she ghosting me? Why is this about me? Why does she not want to work with me? And I literally said out loud, stop, stop, stop, stop, Emma, this is nothing to do with you. The version of me is the old needy version of me that used to have to beg a client to try and sign up with me, that used to have to beg a client to do this. And so I messaged Sarah, my assistant, and I said, can you just send her a follow up email and just see if she's like still interested in working with me? And if not, we're just going to leave it because the old version of me would wonder why I didn't do that, why she didn't sign up with me, why she didn't do this. But actually the future version of me and the version that I'm growing into is like, cool, that's fine. I've got lots of other clients that want to work with me. And the old version of me used to hold on to, oh my gosh, I want this money, oh my gosh, I want this income. But I learned actually not one person is solely responsible for my income. Great. It would have been a nice money. But she's not the only person who's paying me. She's not solely responsible. So actually the energy that I'm putting into someone that hasn't signed up to work with me, I'm better off putting my energy into that new version of me. And don't get me wrong, there are moments where it's like annoying when someone doesn't want to work with you and you've had an hour call, you're so solid that they're going to work with you. But actually that happens all the time. That happens all of the time. And so we get to decide in that moment which version of us are we being? Are we being the old current version of us or are we being the future version of us? It's like, cool. Don't want to work with me, great, I'll move on to the next person. There are so many other women I'd rather focus on creating great content, great conversations with other women, working on incredible things. And so actually pattern interrupting yourself when you feel that that's that old version. And what you're going to start seeing now, especially over the next few days, in the next few weeks that we're having this conversation is you're going to notice yourself saying things and then be like, wait, wait, no, we're not doing that anymore. You'll notice yourself going into a shop and picking something up and going, gosh, that's expensive versus oh, actually are seven dollar blueberries a priority for me right now? Actually, no, they're not. Cool, let me put those away and let me go grab something else. It's going to feel just as good. It's not about over stretching yourself. It's not about suddenly going, it, I'm gonna spend all my money and we've got no responsibilities because that's not what we want to do. We're going to burn ourselves out the other way. But what it is doing is fully surrendering and going, actually, I get to decide who I am today and I get to decide what that looks like. But the one thing we've got to remember is in order for this to happen, we have to truly, truly believe that it's possible. And what I mean by that as a lot of people will go, well, I want to make a hundred thousand dollars this week. Okay, go make $100,000. But they don't truly believe it's possible, so it's not going to happen. They have to truly in their core believe that this is actually possible. For them, and I mean truly believe, to the point where they're like, there is no reason why I couldn't make a hundred. If I didn't make a hundred thousand, I would be shocked that I didn't. That's the core of the belief that we need to get to. And that just doesn't come overnight. It's something that takes time and work and energy and effort to really work through. But when you're able to get to that higher frequency in that. That higher way of being, it becomes so much easier to wake up in the morning and be like, yeah, well, obviously this is going to happen. Obviously that's going to happen. Why wouldn't that client sign up with me? Why wouldn't this client do that? Why wouldn't I make $10,000 in a month? But it only happens when you are truly, truly believing that it's possible. Because a lot of us try to reach that higher self, to manifest, to get into that new energy while still actually holding on to the belief system of, yeah, but it's probably not going to work. It could, but it's probably not. And there's no way that from that mindset and from that energy, we can build the businesses you want to build. You can create the things you want to create. And what I really, really want you to think about is what are you no longer available for? The conversations, the people, the energy, the mindset, the things you're saying to yourself, the positions you're putting yourself in, maybe a financial position where you're like, I'm no longer available to constantly feel like, at the end of the month, I don't have enough money. I'm no longer available for like half going in out of fear of upsetting someone. I'm no longer available for constantly going, yeah, but I've got a backup plan, right? My backup plan was this works or it works, right? I didn't even consider, second time around, starting a business, going back into a 9 to 5. It wasn't even an option. Like, I was talking to my husband about it this morning when we were on a walk, and I was like, sometimes I do miss a 9 to 5. I miss the people. I miss this. And I was like, yeah, but then I have to report to someone. And I was like, there's no way. There's just. My brain is not even wired for that anymore. I can't even imagine walking into it. What would I do? Like, someone telling me, you have to do this. Like, my brain couldn't even. My brain couldn't Even do it, I'd be fired within a day. I guarantee you I'd be fired within a day. Not because I'm not amazing at what I do, but because my brain is no longer available for that. My brain is no longer wired. If I have a stomachache, I'm not telling anyone. I'm just going home and getting into bed. I don't have to tell anyone. But. But my brain doesn't even comprehend that anymore. And it's the flip side as well. Like, once your brain just stops accepting certain things, it then goes, okay, cool. That's just not gonna. That's just, like, not gonna happen anymore. Right? But we have to truly believe and truly step into. I'm not accepting half success, half power, half truth. I'm actually gonna start showing up and moving like the woman that's done it. Because you are her. You have her already within you. Every single thing that came up to you when we went through that little visualization is available for you, is ready for you. It's already there. But the reality is, is, like, what is the difference between the way she shows up and the way you show up? And the difference is literally the identity and the shifts that have to happen within that. And you may be thinking, okay, if I want to get off this call right now, what do I need to do? I remember in the early stages, I really, really thought I wanted to be this, like, corporate businesswoman that owned this business and wore a suit. I literally wear jean shorts, no shoes, and a T shirt every single day now. Because that's the version of me where I'm like, I don't want to put heels on. I don't want to put a suit on. I don't want to do any of that. I'll put my makeup on. I'll feel cute. I've got my really nice drawer on that. That's the version of me that feels the best when I'm in a T shirt, jean shorts, all my jewelry on, feel really good, blow my hair out. Like, that's the version of me that feels really good. So why would I pretend and show up as another version of me when actually I know that that's not the high version of me? And what I really want you to think about when we're thinking about, who is that version? Like, what is she wearing? Cool. Start dressing like her. How does she speak? What is. What is the language that she uses? Cool. Start using that language. What does she eat? How does she behave? What makeup? Like, all of those things that don't Require you to wait. Right. Because again, some of you may say, well, I want the bank account. Great, that's going to come. But what are the things you can control today? And that is how she shows up, what she's wearing, how she behaves, the conversations, the room she's in. And I'll be really honest with you, over the last, I would say, year and a half, I've dropped a lot of friendships because I've evolved. And what I'm available for did not align with how we started those friendships. And that's a really hard part that no one talks about when we're evolving into this next version. No one talks about the friendships we lose, the parts of our identity that we lose, the people that will say, you think you're better than me. And we've all had that. If you haven't, you will. Because I promise you, once you start doing this work, our work highlights the work that other people have not done. And that's really hard. Really, really hard. Because there's a version of you that wants to crawl back in and just be that same old version. Right? When I, about a year and a half ago, I had a friendship of mine and she was like, you know, you just think you're so much better than everyone now that you run a successful business, now that you're doing this, I miss the days where you were always available. I was like, ah, so you missed the days that I was available for you. It's not about me, it's the fact that you're now missing out because I'm not available 247 for you because I had no boundaries. And the reality is, is when you step into this next version, there are going to be colleagues, friends, family members, whoever it is that don't understand this next version of you. But in order to get to that next level version, we have to realize that actually not everyone is going to come on the journey with us. Not everyone is going to be part of the evolutions of you. And there'll be a mourning process of parts of you that you lose, and there'll be a morning process of parts of your friends that you lose. And this isn't saying you need to go out and say to all your friends, bye, guys, I'm going to do great things. But the reality is, is as you evolve and grow, sometimes you outgrow people, places and things. And the reality is, is when you outgrow those people, places and things, it's going to be painful. And it's hard. And there are some days And I said this to a client the other day. There are some days where I wish I'd never opened the personal development box. The world that's out there, because there's a lot and you can't ever shut it. But, like, how lucky that each and every one of us in this room and watching this have seen that and know, wow, there's so much more for me. There is so much more available for me. And actually, right now you are on that cusp of just going, what do I need to do to lean all the way in? What am I no longer available for? For dealing with? What are the things that I want to say yes to? Even if I'm saying it like my voice is shaking and I'm petrified and I'm scared. What are the things that feel that don't make sense, but they feel so right and aligned to me in these moments. And when we make these choices, these are the moments that we remember who we are and who we came here to be and what we came here to do. And that may look in the form right now of going, oh, I'm going to send this proposal out and I'm going to put a big price on it because I feel like that version of me would charge, instead of $10,000, she would charge the company $30,000. There's a version of you that goes, I'm going to shoot my shot and I'm going to message all of these people, and I'm petrified and I'm scared they're not going to respond to me, but that's okay because I'm going to do anyway. And that moment when you decide that is where everything changes. And again, for each and every one of you, it could be going on an Instagram live and going, wow, this is really scary. But the future version of me, wow, I want to post something about what's going on in the world that feels really scary. Let me do it. But whatever it is, we need to keep moving to that higher level version of you, that bigger version of you, because that's the way that you can start moving from the current reality to the future version of you ten times quicker. And that's where you can start collapsing time and deciding, I'm not going to wait five years to meet her. I want to meet her now. I want to activate the version of me that builds, that leads, that sells, that rises like it's all already done. And as I said, that version of you is already here. You've just been behaving in a way that hasn't allowed her to fully come through and allowed for you to hear her. So the big things I want you to think and take away is you aren't going to become her by dreaming her, by just visualizing her. You are going to become that version of you by deciding today that everything changes. You are literally one identity shift away from everything that you may have created on your vision board. If you haven't done a vision board, go and do a vision board board. And now what I want you to think about is how do you lead? Like you are already her. What would she do today? What are the five decisions that she would make today on things? What is her energy that she's feeling? And what I really want you to be thinking about is right in this moment in time, when you leave this session, that new version of you exists. That new version of you is already there. I want you to think, are you going to quiet the noise of everything else around you so that you can fully listen to her, so you can fully hear what she needs you to do, what she needs you to say, and who she needs you to be in order to get everything that you want on that vision board? So my invitation to you is to really hold on to that and think about, what does that look like today and for the rest of the week, how do I start showing up as that version of me that I'm ready to step into?
