MODULE 6 INTRO TO INSTAGRAM

Transcript of a coaching module introducing Instagram for service-based entrepreneurs. The speaker walks participants through optimizing profile elements (bio, highlights, single-link CTAs), using Stories for storytelling and selling, and a five-part content framework (connect, teach, lead, inspire, sell). Practical guidance includes concrete CTAs (DM keywords, mailing-list bundles), content planning and batching, and platform considerations (Reels, carousels, TikTok, LinkedIn, email).
You to download this bundle. And the reason I want you to download this bundle is A, so I can see you're interested in me, B, so I can get you on your. My mailing list, and then C, so that I can start emailing you to funnel you into my mastermind. Okay? So that is what that really needs to look like. If you are at the stage where you don't have a freebie, you don't have a clarity call, you don't have any of that. The simplest things that we can do is literally put DM a specific word to get started. D. I'm going to show you someone else who's a really good example. Ava. So DM me. Expand to work with me. Cool. So she's literally saying just DM me a specific word. You guys are at the stage where if someone sends you that, you can send them a personalized voice note back, right? You can literally just know what you want them to do. So this bit is I want you to tell the person, this is what I do, and this is how you can get in contact with me. And these are the movements that I want you to make. We have to be making sure that we are literally signposting and directing people where we work, where we want them to go. Right? We need to tell them. I need you to go here, and this is what I want you to do. Okay. The next thing we then have to think about, and I'm still building these out at the moment, is have four to five, three to five highlights, right? I used to have hundreds and hundreds of highlights. And I was like, actually, they're not really adding any value. And if we look at it here, we've got results. Okay? So it's gonna load. We've got some client results here. So we've got, like, the fact that we've got all these subscribers subscribing, We've got people who've sent me messages. We've got like, so much of this good stuff, like all of this and this. A lot of this is, like, old. A lot of this is like a year, year and a half old, right? So, but it's like we've got so much so. So simple and easy with what she's doing. Okay? You've got to see here, she's also got $9.8 million made in five years. She's got income proof, right? She's got income proof for me, that links very, very clearly. Okay? So what I've done on my Instagram profile is something similar, which is monetize Your skills and out earn your 9 to 5 perfect. We know that I'm going to help you figure out what your skills are and how to monetize them. The second one is I've gone really clear with DM start for your 9 to 5 exit and business launch bundle. Okay. I just created this new bundle. Literally went out just before this call. Well, it hasn't even gone out. Hasn't got up to my mailing list. But we just did a post on it. It's in the process of being rolled out today. And the call to action goes straight to that bundle list. Okay. So you can see here, it's a really, really clear. And it's so clear what I want people to do. So straight away put in their details and here's what's included in the list, right? There is no guessing on what I do and what I want people to do. It's so clear. I want you going on here that like people can see. Cool. I'm a legit coach. I am who I say I am. I've got payments, I've got people inquiring with me. I'm getting feedback. Like I'm getting all of this stuff. So actually people know that they're working with me similarly with here. Obviously some of the messages that you guys have probably sent me, voice notes, messages, you know, conversations with people, things that have come up, you know, in this mastermind messages you guys are sending wins that you've sent me. Cool. So we've already got that social proof element. Right. And then what we also have in here is the ways to work with me. So at the moment we've got the mastermind and we've got the 33 minute, the $33 one to one. I'm about to do another story which is about the 33 like on demand program. But I haven't got there. Right. I haven't got that thing up. But what this is going to be this and the bundle will go in there as well. But what this is really, this is almost like your, like your store, right? This is like your shop front and these are your products where someone could be like, oh, cool, that looks interesting. Let me dive into that and see what's a little. Let me see what that's about. Okay, cool. Then we've got some stories around it. Okay. So that's kind of how that looks. And I'm going to deep dive into each and every one of these. So we've got the top bit, which is like what we do. This bit is like, cool. How do I work with them? And then this. We're going to have lots of different tools and ways and lots of different, you know, topics and subjects and formats that we're really, really trying to work in. Okay, so as I said, starting from the top, pretty clear what you think of, like, your bio, what you. Feel free to share that in the. In the Slack channel as well. Like, what that looks like, what do people really need to know about you? How do they work with you? And what can they do? Okay, so I'm just gonna pull up all of your Instagrams for now. Let's have a look. Let's have a look at Emma. So supporting people, rebuilding their foundations. Certified movement is medicine instructor. Work with me. Cool. So what I would be looking at doing here is getting really, really specific on kind of what we spoke about in terms of, like, the. In terms of, like, the main tagline, like, who it is that you help. Right. Certified movement is medicine instructor. Great. But what does that actually mean for someone when they're reading it? Right. Do you think it's probably better to do, like, working, like, working through trauma or like, healing through dance, or like, teaching you how to move your body? Stuff like that, which is, like. Because, like, if we think about movement is medicine, what does that actually mean for me as the consumer to read it? Like, do I actually know what that means? Right. I want to know what. Okay, great. You're a certified movement medicine instructor. But how does that help me? Like, what are you actually teaching me to do through that? Does that make sense? Yeah, carry on. Sorry, I'm just making. No, no, tell. Tell what you're going to say. Well, my first question is, you know how. Under my name I've got. Well, I've got personal coach. That's the thing I selected from Instagram. But I see that some people have it, like, you don't. Yeah, I wasn't sure how important that is. Is that because I was like. What I sort of heard someone say was, oh, that is how Instagram kind of then, like, classes you to sort of show you to the right people. Or is that. Is that kind of nonsense? So talking about this. Let me just go back to my page. So this bit is searchable, hence why tools and strategies to leave your 9 to 5. Because the likelihood is people are going to be searching. Leave your 9 to 5. If I put the 9 to 5 exit strategist, no one's Googling that. Like, no one's searching on Instagram the 9 to 5 exit strategy. They're searching how to leave your 9 to 5. Leave your 9 to 5 strategies, tools. That bit is searchable. So I don't think the bit underneath is massively important, but I think here what we want to do is what are people searching for? They're searching for Life coach and healing through dance, healing through movement. So I would recommend changing that to be something that's a little bit more searchable of what your ideal client is searching for. So, yeah, because we actually touched on this on our telegram day and because what did we say? We were just saying about how like life coach basis. Too vague. Too vague. And so Mim instructor, like that is. I'll add to it, as you say, but that is the correct phrase allowed to use with regards to what the job is, so to speak. But I can add around it, as you say, which I will. But in terms of the life coach bit, how can I. Because also it makes me wonder if I need to change my handle as well, because it says I always just have a simple name. I always have a simple name because the reason being that I always just had Eminem. Well, I had Emma Naylor and then obviously I changed to Eminella Western. The reason being is as you evolve, your business evolves. So I think actually having Emma Cooper coaching actually works quite well because it could be dance coaching, it could be movement coaching. If you can go into therapy, it could be. Or you can just have Emma Cooper. Like, I think it's something that needs to evolve and grow rather than being it like Emma Cooper Healing or Emma Cooper Dance. It needs to be something that can evolve as you evolve and grow. Yeah. Because I've seen a few people who I follow who have changed that when they have a massive following, what it apparently does, and I've sadly witnessed it, it completely wipes out their engagement. Yeah. They have to rebuild. So I'm like, I'd rather change it. If I'm going to change that. I'd rather change it now. I mean, if. If I'm going to do it. Not that I'm expecting, you know, tens of thousands of followers, but, you know, I mean, just so I don't. They, yeah. Disappear when I don't often show up. Anyway, there's a girl called Amy, right. And her Instagram handles the late is Lazy Millionaire. But as you can see here. Can you see, it was called Rebel Nutrition. Right. That was what her Instagram handle was for a really long time. And she actually did a post about changing it to Lazy Millionaire. It was really confusing because people were like, wait, where's she gone? Like, why can't we find her anymore? Because she had. She'd started off teaching nutrition, and then she'd evolved and grown. Yeah. What's actually really important is thinking. Does this name grow with you as your business grows? That one off? Yeah. I'm gonna have to have a think about that. Yeah. As I said, submit what you think you want to put in here. Don't change any. Because basically this is changeable once every 14 days or something. So don't change anything yet. Send it over, have a look at it. But think about in here, right? What do they need to know? Like, what. How. What do they need to know about working with you? How can they work with you? And, like, is there something we can send them? Book a free call. DM me. Movement to Start. DM me Something to start. Like, really want to make sure that they, like, know where they're going. Okay. And. And sorry, just. What. One more question. So on the actual bit where at the moment it's Life Coach, a new instructor. What? Because, yeah, I do want to get rid of Life Coach. It just doesn't. It's too vague. It doesn't sound right to me. What. I'm just not sure where to start with that. Okay. What you want to start with is what are your ideal clients searching for? Okay. Right. So if we're searching for. Don't mind me having searched Temptation island, because I watched Netflix the other day. If you haven't watched it, I was then stalking all of them last night. Leave your nine to five. Right. So if I search Leave your nine to five, I come up. I don't know whether that's because it's just my account or if it's that, but let's see. Yeah. Leave your nine to five. So that comes up. Right? So you can see there's other people that come up as well. So, like, how to leave your nine to five. Right. So if I was going to Google Movement for Healing, let's say, cool, this has come up. Movement for Healing. Okay. So they've got that in their bio. What else has come up? Movement for Healing project. Have a look at this. Movement for Healing. Cool. So that's kind of what comes up, Right? So if you want to think about, let's. Let's move on to something like, let's do grief tips to work through grief. That's not. He's about grief, is it? No, that's why it's not coming up. Okay, so is that how you spell grief? No, I before E, except After C. Yeah. You can tell when my dyslexia comes in. And you can tell I use phrases that I remember from childhood to remember spelling. No, it's like this. I, yeah, I, I, I, E. That. No, I, E, F. It keeps coming up wrong. Oh, there we go. Okay, so work through grief. Okay, so not really that much coming up. Okay, here we go. So grief mentoring. So if we put grief in, right, Grief coach, grief support. So you can see that it's on their search. So it's like on the bit here that's searchable, right? You can see that. Yeah. So all of these best searching, grief, grief mentoring. So if you search that, that will come up and that's searchable. Okay. So what I want you to do is just think about. And all of you. I'm going to have a look at. Let's have a look at Emma's. The Emma. Cool. So what we want to think about here is like, cool, what are we helping moms do? Like, what's really specific that we're helping them do? Right? Like, what is that most specific thing we then want to add on here? Add on, like in the bio. Cool. What it is that you're helping moms with? So it's like you could literally put like mum codes. You could be putting navigating motherhood, like thinking about are your ideal client, like literally sitting there, researching, trying to go on Instagram, racking their brain, being like, how can I find someone to support me? Right. And then what we want to do here is instead of having like all of these links. Oh, actually you've only got one link. That's perfect. So you've got one link here. Perfect. That's cool. Yeah, I need to update that milkshake. That's fine. No, that's fine. But we've got one link here, which makes it just so much easier. So we always want to have like one clear link, one call to action that they can do. Okay. So again, what I would probably do here is like, say like, DM me, mom. DM me something to work through that for the. And we can kind of, you know, set up a conversation or like, DM me mom to get started. DM me mom to explore how to work with me. Right. So we just want to make sure that that becomes like your shop window makes sense. And then. Cool. So Tiffany, you've managed to grow this page quite quickly, which is good. And you've been putting stuff on it, which is amazing. So I'm good to see. So a few things here. What I would be doing is I would be adding a photo of yourself. Okay. And the reason I would be adding. And again, this is whether this is comfortable for like you and where you are in your business and all of that stuff. But adding a photo just really, really increases the likelihood that someone's going to want to work with us. Right. Like seeing someone's face makes us 10 times more likely to be like, cool. This is a real human. Right? So if we think about it here, it's like I help the do it all myself overachieving. Well, great, cool. But what we need to think of a call to action, right? So it's like DM me book a call. Book a call link below. DM me thrive to like book a DM me thrive to secure a 30 minute free clarity call something. Something like that. Or like DM me thrive to start exploring how to work together. Okay. And that's what we want to think about is what are they searching for? Right? They might be searching for a wellness coach, they might be searching for a burnout coach. So thinking about what is in that searchable element. Okay. Okay. Makes sense. Yes. Thank you. Amazing. Perfect. Cool. So that's kind of. That is, that's kind of what that main bit is. Okay. Is thinking about this bio and what that looks like and how we get really clear on that. The next thing that we want to be thinking about is what do we want people, like, what are the things that we want people to be able to buy, right? Like if we have an offer or we have a market research call, or we have an MVP or we have, for example, Emma Cooper, I know that you had some testimonials. Cool. That would be a really good opportunity to create that and then add that to a results highlight. Right? Any of you that have any testimonials, conversations, messages from people, just starting to build that up. And again, over time, it will evolve and you'll get better ones and you'll want remove some of them. But for now, we want to really pull together what we've got and what we can like make do with what we've got at this moment in time. Right. We really just want to make sure that we're pulling as much as we can together and then thinking about that one offer, that one MVP sharing on here. And this will evolve over time as we do more social media and we get into it a little bit more. Okay, perfect. Cool. Question. Someone got a question? Oh, no, I thought, I thought I had some. So what we want to be thinking about is there's two parts to Instagram? Well, no, there's like 100 parts of the time. But the two main parts I want to focus on are Instagram stories and Instagram posts. Like static posts, like wheels or carousels, or just, like, individual posts. Okay. So there's two ways. So the first thing is we're going to talk about stories. Okay. So I use stories as a really, really good way of kind of like, storytelling and kind of going through it. Okay. So what I do. And I'm going to show you some of my stories. So what I do is there's two kind of ways of stories. There's like, the selling and then there's just kind of like the storytelling. So I'm going to start with some of, like, the selling side. So when I'm thinking about an offer, I used to use so much branding and, like, have it all done, but it looks really salesy, like people are clicking onto it. Oh, she's just posting the same sales thing. Right. What I try and do now is I create something that's, like, a bit more interactive. Right. So you can see here. I don't know if it plays on here. Yeah. So, like, you can hear. This was, like, a cute little video that I did of, like, me. Right. So it's like me. You can still vote on it, but it feels a little bit more interactive. It feels a little bit less salesy. I then move on to, like, cool. You could keep doing this or you could do this. Be honest with me. How long have you been telling yourself X, Y and Z? I added some polls in. I make it super, like, interesting for them. Then it goes into, like, cool. What if you could take six months to do this? And again, there's music, there's videos. It's like, a bit more interactive. And similarly, with this as, like, we're moving through it, it's still. It's not just the same graphic that I'm posting over and over again. Right. It's like, a little bit more interesting. And then I do the graphic as the last one. Because sometimes I want to boost an ad on this or sometimes I want to boost something on it. Cool. It's good to have that graphic. Okay, so that's the kind of first side of stories that I always post about. Right. The second side of stories that I'm going to post about is. And I'm going to try and find where the archive ones have gone. I'm trying to see if I can find the archives ones. Give me two secs. I'm just trying to see where they are. Okay. I don't know. Oh, here we go. Right in front of my face. That was clever. You know when it like moves around on your screen and you're like, I'm used to doing it on my phone. So what I'm going to share with you is I'm going to share with you, like, a little bit of stories and kind of like how I do stories to sort of engage. Right? So what we want to think about is, for example here. Okay, so I did this about a client called Sarah. So it was. I want to see if it's this one. Yeah. Okay. So this was a story that I did. Okay. It was meet Sarah six months ago. She was in her corporate job. She didn't love it. She wanted to have more freedom, pick up her kids from school, attend their events and not have to beg for a day off. Okay, fast forward to today. She quit her nine to five. She's her own business and she just signed her first five. This is a one to one client. Two things changed. Bam. Bam. Okay, then I'm asking you, what do you need to do? Do you just need to start or do you need the roadmap? Like, how can I support you? And then it's like, okay, you're one decision away from this being your story. DM me freedom. And let's plan. Let's talk about your plan. Okay, so, like, that was a really, really simple example of. Sorry, if someone sent me pl. Really, really simple example of, like, how I'll use one Instagram picture. How I'll literally use a picture and just copy and paste some simple text over it. Right? It doesn't have to be these big things with big bells and whistles that can just be super, super small snippets. And storytelling, right? Here's another prime example. Real storytelling here in 2020, stuck at 9 to 5 jobs, scrolling Instagram at my desk, wondering how all these were making money online and why it wasn't one of them. I have the skills to drive the ambition, blah, blah, blah, blah. Until I did these three things. I got clear on my exit. I got clear on my exit. 95 exit strategy. Exit strategy and plan. I built a business before paid me and I learned how to sell without feeling like salesy. This is why I created this mailing list off the back of this. I think I got about 20 people Sign up to the mailing list, right? Not because I was selling them anything, just because I was like storytelling in that element. And then that kind of moved on, literally, like it was just as simple as that. These are all videos that I already have in my archive. These are all photos of me that I already have. I think I was literally sitting on my sofa, like, in my pajamas, writing this, right? I wasn't. It's not live that we need to post it. We can just be looking back, like, going through your photo album, picking photos and videos. And if you don't have any crazy photos and luxury videos, go onto Pinterest, like Pixel. Go on Pexels, where you can, like, download images for free. Right? Think about photos you've taken on holiday, photos like you on the beach, photos of you. Like, anything that, like, lives up to what you are trying to sell and what you are trying to think about. Okay, so what we then want to move on to is thinking about. Cool. We've got these stories, and this is how we're doing every single day. We're posting stories every single day, and we're moving forward that way. Okay. Does anyone have any questions about stories? Yes, go ahead. Yes, sorry. I was with that in terms of how much you tell, because obviously you've shown us a great example of a client of yours and then yourself. So how. How much do you share sort of of your. Or would you recommend sharing your own story? Because I know that there's, like, a fine line where sometimes I'm watching someone's thing and I'm like, okay, well, now you're just. You're just offloading, and I don't want to work with you because it feels like. You know what I mean? Like, it's. I'm like, well, yeah. So I think it's really important. I'm gonna try and find some other examples. So this was a really good one, right? This was. This was just a super, super simple one. This was, like, not too much. So this was. I was actually on the plane on the way back from. From the uk and I don't sleep on planes. Right. I think nine hours of uninterrupted work time is fucking dream. So I literally put my bed down, got on my laptop, and I did stuff. Right. Two reasons why this is really important. Number one, I'm obviously in a business class. C. Okay. Being something like that with what I sell and what I talk about is important. It's aspirational. People want to find business class. People want to feel excited. We have the level of freedom that I could literally fly in the middle of. I think this was like a Monday or something. Like, I can fly in the middle of the day and just like, not have to answer to anyone, right? So that's the first thing. The second thing is I'm talking about something that's, like, a little less normal, right? In the sense that most people on an overnight flight or a day flight would just, like, want to fall asleep. I don't want to do that. I'm not like every other person. I'm in the 1% of people that doesn't just want to waste nine hours doing nothing. Like, I'm going to use the nine hours to my advantage. So, like, you've got to think about all of the messaging behind this. It's not just, hey, look at me. I'm on a plane. It's. I don't sleep on a flight. I'm in a nice. I'm in a nice seat, and I'm not in the usual group of people who just like, you know, just sleep on the flight. Not there's anything wrong with. It's just not me, and I don't want to be like that. The second thing was I made two investments into my. Into my business while I was on this flight. Okay? It's a time for me to lean in and take actions and do things for me. Okay? Again, I really like aesthetic picture. So. And then the final piece is 2025 is already the most fucking epic year, and I'm just getting started. So this whole story, I'm not selling anything, but I'm letting you into a little snippet of my life, right? I'm letting you into a little snippet of the luxury in my life, of the way I live my life, of how I like to fly, of what I like to do. And I'm not saying that all of you are going to want to do that, because for some of your clients, this is not. This is not their aspiration. For most of my clients, every single time I talk to them, like, I want financial freedom and I want time freedom. Cool. Both of these tick that box of what is attractive to my client, right? For example, Emma Ford, it could be you literally in the summer at the pool with your daughter being like, I'm so glad I work for myself because, like, I get to come to the pool when it's busy in the middle of the day with my daughter. Like, how amazing is that, right? It might not be flying on business class because moms are like, well, I just want to. I just want to hang out with my kids fat. Like, you've got to be thinking about what makes them. What makes them feel something when they look at that also, this probably triggers people, right? Probably does. They might be sat at their desk thinking, f you. You're on a flight back home. You've had a great two weeks. Like, I'm at my office. Like, you want people to feel things and be like, cool, I need to get my shit together. I want to work with her. I know that she can help me. Emma, does that make sense in terms of, like, how much we should share? Yes. I like the fact you're almost, like. With this example, you've sort of shown us, like, a. A result without telling us the full story, which would then prompt me go look at your. Yeah. To find out what the hell's going on and how you did it. Absolutely. Yeah. Because if I had just put, you know, I could have gone into this really big story, which was, like, five years ago, I wanted to go on a trip. Like, I couldn't even afford to do it. Like, I literally had, like, £300 to my name. I was living paycheck to paycheck. And now I can book a business class. But for me, it's like, my client is so intelligent, right? My client is an intelligent. She doesn't need me to do that story. She knows. Cool. This means that Emma's legit cool. She's a businesswoman. She knows how to make money. She knows what she's doing. There's that buy in really, really quickly. Okay. Something else we want to think about is, like, how much we share of our own lives, right? So, like, for example, when I was in Spain, I shared quite a lot, like, about my dad. My family are obviously really important to me, my lifestyle. Like, you can see all of these pieces that I share. The fact that, like, I'm at this really cute place. I met Zuma for dinner. I then went to Soho House. Like, all of these pieces, people like, oh, cool. It's all of this aspirational stuff as well, right? Like, that's what you need to think about is, like, what does your client. What makes your client feel something? Like, yesterday, this was a. This was on, like, a Tuesday yesterday. I spent the whole day at the Cotswolds at a spa with my best friend, right? So I can take the time off because I have the freedom. This is what we did, like, again, like, really, like, real post. This is. This is the kind of freedom that lets you take the day off. Just, like, real, genuine posts, right? And then thinking about, like, what my version of freedom is again. Getting back to London, looking at, like, sharing this. Like, we have to be thinking about what do your kind of what do your clients, if they could see something, like, what would make them feel like, oh God, I really want that. Oh, that looks so exciting. Or oh my God, I can't imagine a life where I could do that. Right. And it might not be. It might not be like that specifically, for example, around like health or wellness or like grief or like mum. It could be like, as you said, as I said to Emma, like thinking about a mum going to the swimming pool in the middle of the week with her daughter. It might be thinking about, you know, working through grief of like pictures, for example, Emma, like, of you, like, so happy, having an incredible weekend, talking about, like, when you in the depths of grief and feeling that, like, you never thought that these kind of weekends would ever feel possible again. But like, you want to show people that, like, you can be happy and hope. Do you know what I mean? So it's stuff like that. Like, what's their version. What's their version of the flying business class? Right? Like always think about that. Like, what is their version of being like, if I could get that, I would absolutely love it. Does that make sense? Yeah. So sorry, I know, I'm asking. No, no, no, go ahead. Sorry. Just writing down what you just said as well. Hold on. Also, this new fathom, which is what I'm recording on, will also have notes for you all. So I'm going to send them all to you after and it's something new I'm kind of testing. So you will get those notes as well. Oh, that's great. Because. Yeah, sometimes I don't remember and I think that's a great call. And I haven't written all down. So my. So I suppose one thing because. And it's time because I'm like, it's coming up. So this Sunday is obviously Mother's Day. So I spend my Mother's Day very differently now. I. I have a couple of things I like to do. I always buy some flowers and stuff like that and I always try and like, I do, I do like a PT session or something. Like, I do nice things. So would that be. That would be the storytelling. That would be great storytelling. If you feel like that's something you really want to like, feel cool to share is talking about like, you know, Mother's Day on Sunday looks. Mother's Day looks very different to me now. Back X number of years ago. I never thought that would be possible to even like get out of bed on, on a Mother's Day. But like, I just want to Share with you this is how I spend mine, in the hopes that, you know, it could be that or it could be today's Mother's Day. And a few years ago, this looked very different, but, like, this is how I spent my day and, like, share what you're doing and talking about what all the lovely things that you get to do for you, and you get to hold that space for you and be in that place. And I think that that's really important to share that to people who are maybe early on in their journey, whether it's they've lost their mother, they've lost their father, they've lost a sibling, like, whoever it is, to show them you can be happy again and you can start creating things for you even on these days that are really hot. So I think that would be really good storytelling if you feel that you can do that. One thing I would probably prep is if we can prep all of, like, the copy and everything, then all it will require for you is to copy and paste that copy onto pictures on the day. Or you, if you have the pictures, you can do it before. Oh, okay. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, perfect. That'll be a good, good one to start, I think. Yeah, amazing. Perfect. Cool. So what we then want to think about, and this is the next bit that I want to share with you all, is with regards to. To actual posts when it comes to Instagram. Okay, so I'm just going to share a new screen with you. Okay. So when I think about creating content, there's like a bunch of different things I think about. Okay. But we're going to keep. Oh, where's that gone? Oh, it stopped sharing my screen technology for me at the moment, guys. It's just this Mercury retrograde is just really sending me. So we're just going to have to bear with me with technology. So this is what I do when I'm thinking about creating content. Okay? So I'm going to share this template with you all as well. So starting here, I have five different areas that I focus on. Okay? So I have five different areas of, like, not content, but, like, topics that I will kind of focus on. Okay. And then we'll kind of deep dive into each one. So what it looks like is there's connect. Okay? There's connecting, there's teaching, there's leading, there's inspiring, and there's selling. Okay? So each one of these is super, super specific and really, like, forms a big part of forms, like a really big part of, like, the whole kind of storage strategy and launch. Strategy for Instagram. Okay, so I'm just gonna open this up really quickly for you so I can read through. Okay. So I put some examples together. So when we're thinking about connect, right. Connection is all about building trust and relatability. Okay. So I've just done some examples for you all. So the first one is I used to think I. I used to, I used to think I was broken. That's what it's meant to say. And it was like I had the job, I had the salary, I had the benefits, that you made it live. So why did I feel like I was barely thriving through it? Every Sunday I'd feel like this. By Monday I'd feel like this. Right. I'm connecting with them, I'm building trust with them. They understand I've been where they've been. Okay. This is all about. And exactly kind of Emma, as you said just now, around like the grief and obviously with Mother's Day, it's like, I understand, like I've been where you've been in the Sunday. In the, in like the lead up to the Sunday where you feel that feeling and you feel this like you can talk to them because you have done that, you have lived through that. So that's how we're going to connect with them and, and start building that trust and the reliability that we are the go to person. Okay. The next thing we want to think about is the teaching. Okay. So the teaching part is all about showing kind of our expertise. Yeah. So if you're stuck in the loop of I want to leave my job, but I don't know where to start. This is for you. Okay. So these are three non negotiables. Skill, clarity and MVP offer. And a three to one content strategy. Cool. Perfect. What that allows us to do is me. I'm showing you my expertise that I am an expert in this field and I can help you. If you are stuck in X, Y and Z, I have the solution for you because I can teach you that. Okay. The next thing is thinking about leading. Okay. And leading is all about like sharing bold opinions, shifting beliefs. So here's the truth that most people won't out loud about their 9 to 5. Right. Your 9 to 5 isn't safe. It's predictable. And there's a massive difference. Bam. There's like a piece of content right there. And like I am leading you to share this bold opinion that we all think 9 to 5 so secure and nothing's going to happen. Yeah. 9 to 5 is secure until there's a Restructuring and you're restructured out of the business, right? Like, that is that really bold and leading you to show you there's another way. Okay? The inspire piece is literally what it says. Like, paint the vision of what they want to see. Like, you don't want business, you want freedom. Like, no one, like, grows up being like, I really want to run a business. People grow up thinking, I really want freedom. Okay? So that real kind of inspire pieces, you don't want business, you want freedom. You want freedom to work when you want. Freedom to wake up slow on a Monday. Freedom to open your laptop feeling excited, not dread all of these things. Like, I'm leading you to what that looks like, and I'm inspiring you. Okay? And then the final piece is literally the selling piece, making this really clear. And, like, they know what they're buying. So if you're still wondering whether now is the right time to start your business, let me ask you this, right? Bam, bam, bam. And this is I teach you in my mastermind. Bam, bam, bam. Okay? So all of those five pieces, when it comes to connect, teach, lead, inspire, sell is so important to really, really be focusing on. Like, so important to be focused on. We need to have a blend of those. Okay? The one thing we're going to think about is when I say sell, what you also have to remember is I'm still selling in each and every post, okay? So I will always have a call to action. In every single post that I post, there is a call to action to work with me and do something. Okay? So if we go back through, like, my Instagram, there's always. There's always a call to action, right? So if we go through this, there's a call to action comment exit. This one actually doesn't, because that was more of a comment. 33 DM me. Freedom. Freedom. DME 33. Can you see every single post as a call to action on it? But this specific post is literally around selling, right? So for example, this post I did today, this is just. This is just purely selling. I hate the way Instagram makes post. Look, I am just selling in this. This is like no value add. This is pure, just selling. And there's two reasons for this. One, I'm going to boost this post, and I want it to be super clean, cut, and super simple. We'll talk about boost and add further down the line. And the second thing is I really, really want to just sell on this post and have it super clear of, like, cool. This is what you can get from me. This is what I'm offering. Okay, so I've set this kind of form up for you ladies. What we want to then think about is platforms, right? Instagram reel, Instagram story, Facebook, email, podcast, LinkedIn, IG carousel. Right. Like, there are all of these kind of different ones that we can post on. And what you'll literally go in is you'll go in and select which one you're going to do, pick which date you're going to post it, and then what I've done here is the focus point. Okay. So like, I want to think about when we're thinking about what we're posting. Every single post, as I said, needs to have a call to action to some kind of offer. So what I'll then do is I'll pick. Cool. This post is going to be focused on the mastermind, because the call to action is about the mastermind. Right? So you can see at the end, the call to action is DM me. Freedom. Perfect. Right? And then we go in. Graphics. Done. Caption written. Cool. Yep. I always caption in here and then I can copy paste it. Scheduled. Yep, scheduled if you want. And then you add the URL to canva. Simple, simple, simple, simple. I try and plan my content at least. Like, I want to say two. I want to say like two to three weeks out. @ the moment, I have a very big. I have a lot of content that I've got like planned in the background, but it's not. It's not all gone up yet. Right. But I have like a bunch of content here that's kind of like pending. And I've got all of these ideas. So for example, I've got. I can go in right now and I have so much content that I've already mapped out and written. So I can just go in. Right? Because let's put it this way, we don't all have days that are super creative. Sometimes we have days where we're like, I'm feeling really uncreative. I have like a whole bunch of content here that I can go in. Even a simple one. Have we met yet? This is what I do. Here's everything. I realized that, you know, I knew everything had to change when I realized I was spending time building someone else's stream than my own. Or if I want something that's like an education, cool. I've got five things that I would avoid at all cost. I've got so many pieces of content in my content bank that I will never, ever not have something to post. So it's really really important to make sure that, like, you're not waking up in the morning being like, oh, let me post something. Right. Like, we want to be thinking about. Okay, cool. How do I use. How do I use this content table to make sure that, like, I'm posting every. Oh, this is the wrong one. That I'm posting, like, as much as I possibly can every single day, five times a week, three times, whatever kind of works for you. Thinking about how that looks. Okay, so what I'm also going to do, I've got a link that I'm going to share with you. I'm going to send you, like, 10 prompts. Actually, no, I'll put. I'll put them in here for you. I'm going to send you 10 prompts that you can start using to create some really, really good content. Okay. And what that's going to allow you to do is start kind of mapping that out and building that out. As we're kind of building out your brand or building out social media, we're understanding what looks good, we're understanding what works. Okay. When we talk about the platform, obviously we said we've reels, we've got static posts, we've got carousels. I do a blend. I do a blend of both, right? So as you can see here, I've got carousel, a real carousel, A real error set. Real, real, real carousel. Real, real, real. This was just the funniest one ever. I've got, like, I've got, like a blend of kind of different ones. Like, then I real. So I've got, like, a really, really big blend. It's really up to you how, like, how you want to do it. But something I would always say is, like, keep it as simple as possible. If you know you love carousels and you want to create one reel a week, cool. Start with three carousels and one reel. If you know that you love reels. Cool. Do two. Two or three carousels. Two or three reels and one carousel. Right? You need to find something that works for you. That's why I feel like giving you a pure content planner of two a day. One a day. It's not going to work. You need to find your flow and find what really, really works for you. Two other things about Instagram. First one is we also have Instagram lives, which obviously, I know I've been getting you all to do. Please continue with those and just saving them to your profile. I know that we've already worked through that. It's just a really, really good way to, like, build Authority and, like, continue kind of being confident in front of the camera. Okay. The second thing we want to think about, and I just want to share this with you, is you can actually edit carousels inside of Instagram. Okay? So what I mean by that, as you can see here, I've used the same photo, but I've just written text over it. Okay? So I'm gonna try. I wish I had the thing that I could share my phone, but unfortunately, I do not have that. So if you go to basically to create a post. Let me just show you really quickly. If you go to create a post, right, and you choose, like, a photo, let's say if you go to this button, which is the text button, you can write over it, you can write on it. Okay? So you can literally do that in real time. So as you can see here, this. I did this in a taxi. I, like, I had all the copy in my phone, and I was like, oh, I need to put this up. I made this in a taxi, right? I copied. I duplicated this photo, like, five times, six times, whatever it was. And I was like, cool, let me just throw that up. I put it into Instagram and I went onto the little text button and I did it all and it went out. Okay. You don't have to spend hours in Canva creating things. We can pretty much do so much in Instagram right now. Okay? So if, you know, content takes me so long to post. And I'm actually going to give you a really good example. This one. Who does this? Maria. That Maria went. Who I absolutely love. She does this so well. Okay. She makes so much money, but, like, look how boring. Like, look how boring and simple, but also so effective. How I'd go from 0 to 10 minutes again if I lost it all. Same photo. All she's done is use this text, which she's edited in Instagram. Same with this one. Same with this one. Same with this, right? Super simple. Like, honestly, the most simple thing that she has done is just put text over it. Nothing crazy about this. She's also got really good call to actions and stuff, but she does nothing crazy, right? There's no Canva graphics here. There's no branding. It's literally her and her Instagram. And she's built, like, a $10 million business off the back of that, right? Yes. Mine in terms of visuals, I like mine to look a certain way. Right. And aesthetically. But you can see that there's a blend here. Like, this was done on Instagram. This was done on Instagram. This one. These don't have any text on them. Like, a lot of this was done on Instagram. This one was. This was done on Instagram. This one, this one, this one. Like, there's quite a lot that I'm doing on Instagram as well. And over time, I'm kind of moving away from doing just like Anva stuff to actually just doing stuff straight in Instagram. Okay, so what I want you to think about before our next call is updating your bio and having this good. Updating your highlights and have these in really good standing order with like, really good stuff that's on it. And then I want you to think about starting to create some content. Right? So what I'm going to do is I'm going to fill this for you guys. I'm going to put some more examples here of, like, pieces of pieces that we can do. I'll share that with you this afternoon. I'll put that on there and I'll share the link. I'll share this link as well. So. And what I want you to do is really go in and start creating that content, seeing what lands using this framework and seeing what feels really good. Because we want your Instagram to be in a really, really good place before we start really kind of going all in, talking about your offers, doing all of this. Okay. Does anyone have any question on this or like, any. Anything else at all? Just starting with you. Oh, go ahead. Do you do a cover? Because, you know, I always say you can edit your cover of your reel or do you not really care? As in, should I be bothered? I do a cover, but I also. You don't need to like. You don't need to like. For example, as I said, Maria, she doesn't do a cover. Right. She just. She just snippets. The COVID is something of an interesting part of it. Right. So, like, this is what she does. Some of them I have done keeps going back to this. I suppose it depends what the start of the reel is, doesn't it? I suppose, absolutely, yes. That's what we want to think about, right? So, for example, I did one. Most of mine have covers. But for example, this one, this doesn't have a cover, right? Like, this doesn't have a cover because this was kind of like quite a good cover at the same time. Yeah, but this one doesn't have a cover either because it's the beach. This one doesn't have a cover again, because aesthetically it looks quite good. So it really depends on like, again, this one doesn't have a cover either. So it really depends on kind of what your aesthetic looks like. But I would do a blend or if you just were like, you know what? I don't want to do any covers. I'm really not bothered. Cool. Don't look up at them. Just make it look as you want it to look. Okay, cool. Thank you. No worries. Emma, did you have a question? I did. This is really helpful. Thank you. And I did not know that you can edit in Instagram now. Absolute, absolute game changer. And takes all the pressure off Canva, let's be honest. Yeah. Just quickly because I know that me and you had discussed before about maybe I should look at Tick Tock as well. Yes, pretty much the. Pretty much the same goes for Tick Tock. I don't even know if I'm logged into Tick Tock. Let me have a look. The only reason why I ask is because I think some. I just know what I'm like. I end up sitting there scrolling. But I wonder whether because of the algorithm and also it's quite. You can have longer conversations on there basically, is what I'm thinking. Longer content. Yeah. So I don't even know if I know my login for TikTok. That's not very fun, is it? I don't even. I know my password's not correct. Okay. So TikTok is very similar in that sense. TikTok is a little bit different in the sense you can still have a really good bio. You can still have all of that. But what I would probably be looking at is I just want to see if I can click on someone's Tick Tock here. Okay, cool. I can. Yeah. So you can have something similar here. You can have like a good bio here, good photo. I'd probably try and keep that quite similar to the one you've got on Instagram if you are planning on using TikTok. And actually this is good if anyone is going to use Tick Tock. And we are also going to Talk about like LinkedIn and email @ a different stage because that's a whole. That's a whole different kind of kettle of fish. Right. That I could do that. And then what I would be doing here is just being obviously putting up the. The real videos that you do because obviously it doesn't do static posts. The thing about TikTok is it needs a lot more talking videos as opposed to like B roll videos. Okay. So what I'd be thinking about, if you're planning on doing a lot of talking videos, then Tick Tock is great. If you're not, then it might be something worth holding off until we have the more time to kind of do more videos on that. I think I'm going to focus on Instagram for now just because I've got an audience there and then worry about TikTok. But I just know that probably where I need to move over. Yeah. And what I'm going to be doing at one point in the next few weeks is talking about LinkedIn, email, TikTok, and kind of talking about other avenues. Instagram's just the quickest to get up and running without needing to, like, build a mailing list or like building a community or like LinkedIn requires a lot more outreach, so we'll definitely go through that. But any business and any client that I speak to, the first place we always want to start is Instagram. Fine. And then my final question, and I think you've covered it already, but mailing lists, obviously my audience will be changing, so I guess, like, we'll just start a brand new mailing list. Basically. How many people do you have on your mailing list at the moment? Not a lot. Probably like 10. That's fine. Then we can just start a new one. If, if it was. If it was like, I would say if it was over like 250 or like 500, I'd probably say let's try and fish out whose mums and who's not. But if it's not that big, then we can probably start a new one. Okay, perfect. And we're going to cover that in the next couple of weeks. Absolutely. Cool. I want to make sure that we have a. Basically what I want to make sure that we have and just kind of to map it out for you guys is we have people coming through Instagram, so we have them other places to send. Because what we don't want to do is dilute our effort and be like, let's start a mailing list, let's start a LinkedIn. Let's start a TikTok. Let's start on Instagram. I'd actually rather get everyone onto your Instagram, get them really excited, and then we can navigate where we want them to go and where we want them to buy from. Amazing. Yeah. Perfect. Tiffany, any questions? No, it's all just been taking notes. I think mine is just kind of the difference between, like the real and the carousel. Because I think when I tried to do a picture and put text over it when I went to that other one, like, it would can it would repeat that same text So I don't know what I was doing wrong, but I'll. And which ones are in a carousel? I think I was in there. I don't know what. I've never done a carousel before, so I've just done the real. Okay, cool. So let me show you really quickly. So, Emma, could you stop sharing your screen? So what you're about to show us is a bit bigger. Sure. Yes. Thank you. Because I try. I couldn't see it quite right before. Let me show you. So. And this is so annoying. I have to do it this way. But like, I can't share my phone, which is very nice. So when you go on to create something up here, right, you've got real and a post and a story. Okay. So real is a video. Right. Just always think of a reel as a video. And then a post is either a static post or it can be a carousel. So you can basically select lots of. So you basically select your first photo, then you go to this little guy and then you select all here. Okay. Then you go on press next. So you can see I've got three photos of the same one. So I could write something like hello on this one. Right. So that's. That. That. That's picture one. Picture. That's what I was doing wrong. Okay. Yeah. Is then high. Cool. And then picture three is. Then let's just put by. Yeah. So as you can see here, the post that's going to go up is a carousel. That photo one, photo two. So when it goes up, it will look like this. Photo one, photo two. Photo three. Makes sense. Yes. Cool.
