Nas grew up in New York with big dreams, setting up a makeshift office at age ten and imagining himself as a screenwriter, comic-book artist, and businessman. He credits a lifelong belief in his ability to succeed and share his ideas through art as the fuel behind everything he's built.
Good morning, Believe Nation! Today's message is Believe. Over to you, Nas.
My thirst for success comes from being born in New York and just wanting to do all the things I dreamed about. I always had some kind of drive in me, whether whether I was gonna be a screenplay writer, whether I was gonna be an artist that illustrated comic books. I wanted to be a businessman and set up my room like an office when I was like 10 years old. Whatever I got into, I always planned to excel. I always believed that I could have it. I always believed that I could give people my ideas through art.
I wake up every morning. Espresso keep me going. No, bad.
