Can You Customize Apple Watch Heart Rate Alerts?

Evan Carmichael bought an Apple Watch to monitor his resting heart rate and keep it between 65-85 BPM, but the built-in alerts only trigger at 100 BPM or higher. He's looking for a way to set a custom alert at 85 BPM instead, whether through hacks, third-party apps, or other devices.

I have got an Apple Watch problem that I would love your suggestions on. So I bought the Apple Watch because of the heart rate monitor, because I don't know how good my heart rate is. It could be 65, it could be 95, I have no idea. You ask me right now, what's my heart rate? No idea. And so I wanted to try to keep my heart rate low in general because it's a good predictor of longevity and getting good sleep, living a long life. You want to have a lower resting heart rate. And so I think I forget to breathe a lot of times, and so my heart rate spikes up. So what I wanted to do was have a device that would send me a notification, an alert, that when my heart rate was spiking too high, it would buzz. And that's the only notification I have on this watch. No emails, no texts, no whatever, just when my heart rate spikes. However, Here's the problem. Apple's default setting only allows you to set that notification to buzz when it's at 100 BPM or more. It's like 100, 105, 110, 120, whatever. 100 or more, which is crazy. Like, they have resting heart rate at 100. 100. I want to set it for like 85, and you can't customize it. So if you know of a hack for the iPhone, uh, not the iPhone, the Apple Watch, or a different app that I should be using, or neither of them work and I need to get a different device, let me know. The most important metric I'm looking for, the only thing I care about, is the ability to have a notification go off and buzz my wrist when I am above 85 BPM resting heart rate. You have an answer, let me know. Thank you. Believe.
