Cooking is a workout. Ah!
Thumbnail shot, here we go.
Ah! Oh my god, no! No more thumbnail shots, holy cow. It's yummy. Hi everyone, this is Nina. Today I'm going to make stuffed pepper. Stuffed pepper is super yummy and it's easy to make. And Evan really likes it, and I like it too. The ingredients that you will need for stuffed pepper is 1 onion. I'm going to use 2 green peppers, and then 2 red, 2 yellow, 1 orange, because the other orange is actually not good. Celery sticks, mushrooms, Oh, and garlic. You will need ground beef, stir-fried ground beef, and I use quinoa instead of the rice. So quinoa is so much healthier compared to the white rice, so I'm gonna use quinoa. Okay, so let's start. I'm just gonna chop up some garlic first. 4 cloves of garlic. I always crush the garlic because it's easier to chop. Okay, now onion. Maybe next time I could get Evan to prepare all the ingredients and I just cook. So dice the onion. I'm crying. Okay, celery sticks. I will use 5 celery sticks. Okay, mushrooms. The correct way to clean the mushroom is use a wet paper towel wipe the mushrooms, but I'm not gonna do that. I'm just gonna rinse it up. I still have to cut the peppers, but I'm gonna start cooking right now because I want my mushroom and onion to be caramelized. So I'm gonna throw it in the pan and let them cook. So it's 3 tablespoons of canola oil, or you can use any oil you prefer. So for stuffed pepper, after it's done, after it's stuffed, I will sprinkle with cheese and then bake it for like 2 minutes or so. So I have to set the oven for 425°F. Okay, so it's ready. I'm gonna throw in the onion and garlic.
Oh, it smells good.
While waiting for this to cook, I'm gonna go back to cut the peppers. So how you cut the pepper, you have to be careful. I just want the middle part to be cut. I just want the middle part to be cut and take out the, um, the seeds. Doesn't have to be perfect. You just put it up. Make sure you come back to your stir-fry. If you see the mushrooms, they're a little brown, now you can add the celery.
Maybe you should name each of the peppers.
I should name the peppers?
Yeah, like that's Bill.
They're all Evans. Evan number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Oh. So I want this to simmer. See, this is how I cut it.
I think you should try to juggle. Okay, let's try.
No, don't mess with my pepper. I'll try. No, no, no, no, if you fall, I don't know. You can juggle with the mushroom. I can't juggle. Try. Okay, so this is ready. I should add the, um, the beef now. This is 1.8 kg organic beef from Costco. It's individually packed, come with 3 packs, so I'm just gonna use one. I'm gonna add one more tablespoon of oil. Basically, it's like a stir-fry. Just make sure everything is all mixed up together, stir-fry. It doesn't have to be in this order. If you have seen Evan Carmichael's Valentine's Day cook stir-fry cooking, you will know. Just put everything in together. As long as everything gets cooked, it's fine. There's no order. Now I'm gonna add quinoa. This— I made this quinoa last night. I used my rice cooker. This is 2 cups of quinoa. Okay, so it's all mixed well. I'm gonna add some salt, some pepper, 2 pinch of oregano, about 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce. 1/2 cup of soy sauce. Turn off the heat and just mix well, and you're ready. I'm ready to transfer this to the peppers. So get a baking pan.
That look of disgust was Nina thought the pan was dirty.
Really? How did you wash this thing?
It's a very colorful plate.
Get a spoon so that you can stuff the stuff inside. Stuff the stuff inside? That sounds weird. This is more than enough for 7 peppers. Evan, you want to sing a song?
Sing, sing a song, sing it loudly, sing it. I don't know, I picked the wrong song. Maybe Nina should sing a song.
Oh, I don't sing, you know me. Make sure when you stuff the peppers, don't fill it up all the way because we still want to add some add some cheese on the top. So maybe like this, you can still see the rim. Okay, so this is shredded mozzarella cheese. You can get any shredded cheese. So sprinkle it. Jesus Christ, why don't you help me? Now the oven is hot. Going to put it in the oven, let it bake for 5 minutes, just get the cheese to melt. You can bake the stuffed pepper longer if you want to get that softness when you bite into the pepper, but Evan and I, we like the crunchiness of the pepper, so we will only bake it for 5 minutes or so, maybe less.
While we wait, why don't we show them Evan's weekend project outside? This is my weekend project. I have to dig— what am I digging? Digging grass. I'm digging out the grass to allow Nina to plant inside her greenhouse. So we moved the greenhouse and that big pile of dirt is almost done. I need to finish digging so she can plant all of her plants in the ground instead of using all of those pots. So that is my weekend project. Alright, we're back. What's Nina doing?
I'm trying to put the seeds in the bag. So we can save them to try to kind of see what happened.
Save the green ones, those are the best. Do you want to see who could do it faster?
Where's my bag? Here! Your bag is here. Hey! Done! I'm done the yellow, I'm doing the orange.
Remember, you started before me.
No, I did this after you. Okay, why don't you do this? You see all this, all the seeds? Look at my seeds, only have one here. Look at all the seeds around you. What's up? Oh crap, time's up. Hold on. So it's about 5 minutes after, we're gonna pick the green peppers out. We'll see what happens. Oh, ah, it's hot. Oh, it's heavy. Here it is! Stuffed pepper with cheese. Now we're gonna cut one up and try it. Inside looks like this.
It's like hot potato, hot pepper.
Woo! Woo!
I'm about to say something important, but before I do that, let me take a humongous bite of my pepperoni.

You gotta throw this and I'm gonna catch it in my mouth.
Okay.
You ready?
Hold on.
Pull my shirt up. You ready? Let me come down to your height.
Okay? You can throw it up to your height. Ah, ah, ah.
Here we go. 1, 2, 3. You're supposed to throw on 3.
Okay, 1, 2, 3. I'm getting close. 1, 2, 3. Ah!
Victory!
Can you pick it up, please? Pick it up, please. Right underneath the door. You fake bum. I love my wife. Hey, pick it up, pick it up.
