Intelligence is overrated. I got a great question from one of my Facebook viewers, Elias. Love you guys. Wrote in to say, hey Evan, love your videos, I watch them daily. I really think you deserve more views, but to start off with my question, I have a general question for you on which I need your opinion because I'm in that sort of situation. Do you think intelligence matters? For example, you want to become a doctor, work really hard with average intelligence or work really hard with high intelligence. My question here is mainly, does intelligence matter? Thank you. Please keep making these videos. I love them. They motivate me in starting my own business. Elias. Elias, this is a really, really important video. Thank you so much for this question. There are two things that you need to have in order to achieve your big goals and change the world. Okay, the first is hard work. It's a hard work ethic, and you, you hit the nail on the head with that part in your email. Okay, you got to work hard. You look at the most successful people, the people who are out there making their dreams come true, they're not sitting on the couch relaxing thinking about it. They're out there doing it. This is the world of action, okay? You want to go out and hit your goals? You want to change the world? You want to make a lot of money? You want to provide a better life for your family? Whatever it is you want to accomplish, you got to work at it. You got to work at it every day and beat on your craft to get better. That's how it works. But hard work, it's not enough. Hard work just gets you a seat at the table. Hard work is your, your entry ticket into the room. It's not enough because there's tons of people who work hard who never achieve their goals. There are tons of people who carry 2, 3, 4 jobs and are living at the poverty line. So what gives, right? They're saying, "I'm working hard." You know, that's BS that hard work is the answer. It's only half the answer. The other half isn't intelligence though. The other half is a belief in yourself. You have to believe that you're capable of greater things. Everybody has limiting personal beliefs. Everybody, I have it, you have it, everybody watching has it, everybody in the world has limiting personal beliefs, and you've got to bust through those if you want to achieve massive success. Because that person who's working hard, who's working 3 jobs and living at the poverty line, you ask him why he's not being more successful, he's going to give you a bunch of excuses. He's going to tell you, "Oh, I'm not smart enough, I don't have the intelligence." He's gonna tell you, "I never went to school, I never even finished my high school." He's gonna tell you, "I don't have any mentors." He's gonna tell you, "I don't have any connections." He's gonna tell you, "I don't know how to read." He's gonna give you all these excuses, and all those are, are limiting personal beliefs. It's a story you run in your head that holds you in place where you are today, that prevents you from becoming something great. You have to believe in your big dream, whatever that goal is, that you set for yourself, do you actually believe that you can accomplish it? Because if you don't, and you start working at it, and you don't believe it, you're not gonna go out and really chase it. You're gonna keep playing these excuses over and over in your mind that hold you back from being something great. So the two factors for success are: number one is hard work, but that's not enough. You gotta believe in yourself and overcome those limiting personal beliefs that hold you back. Thanks for the great question. Believe.
