Oh, nobody's here. What happened? Help me! I'm filming. I am helping. Really? I'm taking a video. My picture is more important. YouTube's more important. And neither of us are hungry. I'm going for dinner. Nina's a rule breaker.
Yeah, yeah, sure.
You gotta do things that are different sometimes and are outside your comfort zone. I'm gonna name this bat Nina. Nina?
I know you're gonna say that.
Okay, Nina the bat. Good morning. I slept at 4:30 last night and we had to get up at 6:30. We're at our first stop. It's a wine abbey in Barbados. We're gonna explore. Hopefully take some good videos. You have some fun?
Yep.
Nina's very excited. We just arrived, we're walking and it's raining on us. Yeah, Nina's worried about her makeup.
Yeah.
How much the bridge now? $5 each or total? Total. All right, let's do it. Where's the sun? This is Barbados, we're waiting for the sun. Tina's going shopping. So far not that impressed with the shopping. We're going back to the main area. It's raining on us. We filmed some videos for the YouTube channel and now we're gonna grab a quick bite to eat at the most famous restaurant in Barbados, the Waterfront Cafe, where you have to try the flying fish sandwich. Sandwich. So we're gonna see what that's all about. And then continue our adventure. Lena's getting on her Wi-Fi so she can transfer the videos we just made to Christina on Dropbox while we eat. So they can be edited and put up for you guys to enjoy. The other thing that I want to do is I have all my Evernote files on the iPad here, which can be a little cumbersome to carry around. So I want to transfer everything over to my phone on Evernote so that I can just put it in my pocket. GoPro in one pocket, phone in the other. Everything I need to be able to finish our travel plan. Really? I'm taking a video.
My picture is more important.
YouTube's more important. Okay, we have our— what are these, fish cakes? Oh, hello. Yum. And we have the world-famous flying fish sandwich. Not good. Just gonna put the hot sauce on. Oh, she said watch out for that one. Oh yeah. Watch out. Oh, here it comes. Big bite with the hot sauce. Yeah. Are you going to start crying? Oh, hot. Food was just okay. Not even actually, I think probably beyond lower than okay. Yeah. Yeah. Not very good, actually. Maybe we came on a bad day. I don't know. Okay, we're going to get some water and continue to explore on our way to the Chado village or to the beach. We'll see. What we find easier. So we've been walking and walking and walking. Nina's getting tired. Yeah, we've been walking and we're finally here at The beach, our own little piece of paradise. Okay, well, that was awesome. And then when I got in the water to film, it was so warm. It's probably the warmest beach water that I've been in that I forced Nina to come in with me, and then I pulled her in with her dress on. So she's a little wet. But it was fun, right? It's a different experience. You got to do things that are different sometimes and are outside your comfort zone and that challenge each other. Okay, we're gonna maybe check out a rum factory and then head back to the cruise. I'm getting hungry. Yeah, you gotta eat. Okay, so far so good. Really relaxing. I feel refreshed and relaxed.
Look at my shoes.
You can see the eyes of her socks. Through the shoes. Nina has a devious plan. We're not allowed to bring alcohol on the cruise ships. We're going to empty out the bottle of water, which is one liter, finish it off, and then fill it with the wine. Nina's idea. Nina's a rule breaker.
Yeah, sure.
All right, we're back. We had a shower. Uh, Evan, your face is burnt. Yeah, yeah, it is kind of burnt.
It is pretty red and burnt.
I was a bit of a smelly person.
Yeah, very smelly. Oh my God, I got a headache from this smell.
Holy— a bit of a smelly person. We are going to, uh, have some food, snack, because we have dinner soon. What's with the cups?
Ice.
Oh, ice. Oh, for Nina's drinks. Great. Special drinks. What does Nina's light snack look like? Soup.
Yummy chicken soup.
What does Evan's like snack look like?
Pizza.
We got pizza, we got pasta that's drizzled with cheese sauce and extra cheese and mushroom. My mouth is watering as I'm saying this. My mouth is watering. And some beef stew and 2 pieces of cheese underneath the cheese pizza. Time to eat. Oh, she's stealing it, she's stealing it before I even had a bite. That's not cool, that's not cool, it's not cool, man. So after that snack, we went back for seconds. Nina filled up her plate with tons of food. It was huge. And then we went back to the room and passed out.
We didn't sleep.
No, we relaxed, I guess. Relaxed. Uh, I'm feeling a little spacey from not having enough sleep. I think the 2 hours is not enough sleep. And neither of us are hungry. I'm going for dinner. Nina's gonna order another 3 appetizers like last night. No. And, uh, I might have to carry her to the room over my shoulder. She's wearing a dress, so that's not good. All right, dinner time. Nina's stoning out. She wants to go to Europe in August or September. Where in Europe? Where do you want to go in Europe?
Um, anywhere. Greece?
We'll see.
We'll see what's happening.
Okay, good morning. The last thing we filmed last night was the food. Yeah, so we went back to the cabin, watched some TV, and passed out. I passed out. I had almost 8 hours sleep, but when I woke up to Nina's alarm, uh, I didn't know where I was. I'm so tired. So we are in Saint Lucia today, I think.
Yeah, it's raining.
It's raining a little bit. There were crazy sirens going off when we got off the boat. That'll be interesting. We're going to see what we can do in Saint Lucia. Here's Nina. She's inspired by this tree with insanely huge fruits. We don't know what kind of fruit that is. If anybody knows what kind of fruit this is, leave it in the comments below and Nina will love to hear from you. We booked a boat cruise that's going to take us to a whole bunch of places that we are excited to see. I'm going to have to switch to the water cover on the camera so it doesn't get ruined, but has really bad audio, so you won't hear from us for a while, but you'll see us.
And we'll have fun.
Okay, back on the boat, ready for dinner. We had a fun time. Lena's, uh, skin got a little irritated. We had to go to the doctor to get some hydrocortisone cream for her. We thought it'd be better to go with a group tour today because we couldn't get a, uh, a car on our own. But we learned— well, we already knew this about us, but we reaffirmed that we don't like going through tours because they're just too slow. And we ended up not seeing everything because our tour was too slow. And we're sitting there like, let's go, people! So we can't do tours anymore. But on the boat ride back, we also had some interesting life discussions about big plans, where we want to go, uh, other things in our life that we want to plan that we're not talking about on the YouTube channel. Yeah, so that's exciting. When you go away, it's a good chance to think about things that you're doing in your life, right? Yeah, and Nina doesn't want to come back to the Caribbean either. Yeah, too boring for her. She needs more active vacations. Okay, dinner time. Oh, nobody's here. What happened? Is it not 6 o'clock?
