What'd you buy? You don't have to show. Let's go eat! It's a beautiful day here in Toronto and city on a Saturday, and one of my favorite things to do when it's nice outside is hop on the Vespa, go downtown, and have a few fun surprises for my wife Nina. So here we go! Okay, we made it. Who's got worse helmet head?
You.
Really?
Yeah, I don't have lines.
How come you don't have lines? Look at that. Let's go eat. Here we are. Za Pizzeria. So this pizza is supposed to be ready in 3 minutes. That's a creation that the entrepreneur owner of this place came up with. So pizza in 3 minutes. Let's see how it goes. And here it is. Fastest pizza ever. Half Canadian. Or no. Half Canada with potato chips, bacon, and cheese. And half mushrooms with sautéed mushrooms, raw mushrooms, mozzarella cheese. Yum yum yum yum yum yum. So as much as I love routine and having set days to do set things, I also like shaking things up because it can get boring doing the same thing over and over and over and over again. And you gotta open your mind to new things, so here we go. We got pizza. This is amazing. This is the best pizza ever. Oh my God, so good. I saw a guy through the window. It's a nice window here, right? You got a lot of people traffic. And the guy walked by that I thought I knew, right? Like those people you think you recognize. And I kind of waved at him and he came in and he said hi. And, and, uh, it's one of those guys you have no— I don't remember where he's from. I don't remember his name, but he looks familiar. And and when he came in, I said, "Hey, this is my wife Nina." He didn't say his name to her, so I don't remember. Now it's killing me. It's killing me. Who is this guy? You gotta remember. Anyway, we'll see what happens. It's gonna come to me, I think, at some point. When we came in, Nina was like, "Oh, there's nobody in here." She was very skeptical. And I found this place online, huh? How do you feel now? Thumbs up. The first of many surprises for the day. Alright, next up, voted one of the best ice cream stores in Toronto, Ed's Real Scoop. Nina wants some ice cream. "I want to eat ice cream." The sucky thing about filming with an iPad is it defaults to picture mode each time I load it up. I gotta switch to video. Anyway, we got our ice cream. I got crème brûlée and burnt marshmallow.
What did you get? I got s'more and marshmallow.
Okay, let's have a taste here. Next up is the Toronto Tool Library. Nina is excited. So Toronto recently launched this tools library where you could get tools, rent tools, and use them for your house and return them. So we're going to check it out and see if there's any surprises for us. There's also the Primal Seeds Library, which is this. You can get seeds to plant.
Just take it?
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm just refilling it. So yeah, cheers.
You're the first, Nina. Get in there.
You can just take the seeds. Yeah. Oh, really?
So what did you get, Nina?
So I got a bag of zucchini seeds, 2 cucumbers, 1 sunflower. Uh, actually it's my work for my colleague.
She really—
she likes sunflowers, so I'm gonna give this one to her. Cilantro. Evan just saw, oh, cilantro, so I'm just gonna try it.
Cilantro is good.
I love cilantro.
Melon? Yep.
And I've never had black, black, um, tomatoes, so I'm gonna try this one and see what happens. 2 bags of cherry tomatoes and 2 bags of Brandywine tomatoes.
We got a lot of gardening to do. This is a cool program called the Toronto Seed Library, and it's all community-run, and we're going to look at setting one up at Toronto Dance Salsa, bringing it a little bit north. And when we have events, having some seeds to be able to give away. So we're going to be in touch, and maybe we'll make a video about Toronto Seed Library coming to North York. So it's Dutch Day at City Hall, and we're here to take in some festivities with everything Dutch. And, uh, that's from World War II. The Canadians were the ones who helped liberate the Dutch from the Nazis, and so there's a strong loyalty from the Dutch towards Canada that still lasted today. And so this whole festival is to, uh, thank Canada and showcase some Dutch pride. Another reason I love Toronto: designated motorcycle and scooter parking. So we're now outside the Eaton Centre, which is, uh, one of the biggest malls in Canada. It's not called Eaton Centre anymore.
What's it called? I forgot. Yeah, no.
So we're standing outside the Eaton Centre right now. One of Canada's biggest malls. Because we're looking for some new clothes for Nina! Are you excited? Okay, here we go. Nina, what does the sign say? Ah, okay. Totally says Toronto Eaton Centre. Still love her though. I love escalators. That's all. Okay, we went to our first store. Nina made her first purchase. What do we got? You don't have to show. Nina bought underwear. Nina bought panties. 10. 10 panties from La Senza. She's very excited. That's a lot of new panties. I hate stores where I have to stand and they don't have anywhere for guys to sit. Very sad. But Nina's out. I didn't get anything.
You want to see?
I'll come. Oh yeah.
That's a bag. This is the front. This is the dress.
That's not bad. You weren't feeling that one?
No, I don't like the color. The jeans that I take, they're too loose.
Ah, okay.
The color is very like white.
Okay, well, that was a fun time. Let's keep going. All right, it's early dinner time. Nina, what'd you get?
Noodle and chicken.
Noodle and chicken. Look at that. I got A&W teen burger combo. Yum! Nina still hasn't bought anything new. We've gone in the stores. It's a little depressing. So we're gonna have some early dinner and then keep our shopping experience going. Yeah? Okay. So it's YouTube FanFest day here in Toronto. Crowds are kind of crazy. They're always crazy. They're always crazy. Toronto is the best part of Canada. That is the best part of Toronto, man. Yeah! And, uh, somebody's gonna be on stage. I don't know who's gonna be up there. There's Nina. Nina's a YouTube star. Nina plants stuff and tries stuff on and shows us all these fun, cool things. And we learned today that she's half Dutch.
We're gonna go back.
We're gonna go look for more shopping. More shopping.
Are you done?
I don't know. More shopping. More shopping. Here we go. Okay, so we're heading home. Nina didn't buy anything else. Very sad. Just the panties. But she's got 10 pairs of new panties, which is very exciting.
For you? Exciting for you?
Exciting for me, exciting for you. Probably not anybody else.
I hope not.
Alright, back on the Vespa and home we go. Thank you, Toronto. We're home, we're tired, we're taking a nap.
