So I leave Nina alone for 2 seconds to go pick up the food and what did you do to my coffee? Okay, we gotta eat. We gotta get out of here because Nina's spending way too much money. Are you blaming me? Is that what's happening? It's my fault? Yes. Life with Nina. Life with Nina. It is finally a warm weekend here in Toronto, which means we can spend the day on the Vespa and get out and have some fun. I've taken the Vespa out a number of times already, but just short distances where Nina is really— what's the word, Nina? Sensitive to the cold. So it's finally warm enough to go out. It's a happy weekend. It's sunny. Nina's stepping— what are you doing?
I have to put my shoes on.
You're supposed to undo the laces, you know.
I'm doing it.
You're supposed to undo the laces.
No, you don't have to.
It's a happy Saturday. You ready to go? Yeah. All decked out, ready to go. Nina! You ready?
Yes.
First ride?
Mm-hmm.
Are you like crazy excited?
No.
Why not?
You're riding it.
It's a together thing, okay? It's husband and wife because we're in love, okay? Show them love.
This is—
Ah! All right, good times. First stop, Tim Hortons. Traditional weekend breakfast for us. Nina's excited. Nina's checking her Instagram. Hey Rishi, what's it saying? Where are we going? Where are you going?
I'm going to spend time with the hubby.
That's a good thing to do. That's a good thing to do. Nina's hungry. These are the donuts? Yeah! Oh, special case. Take a bite, Nina.
Ready? Mmm, I like it. I like this. This is not whipped cream, but this is like a marshmallow thing. There's a whipped cream that tastes like marshmallow.
No, it's whipped cream. I never like whipped cream, but I like this one. Well, just tell yourself it's marshmallow, then you'll like it. I asked Nina, "Where do you want to sit?" Doesn't matter. She says it doesn't matter. So I want to sit there at the bench, and then she's like, No, no, no, no, no, you can't sit there at the bench. We got to sit here. Life with Nina. Life with Nina. So I leave Nina alone for 2 seconds to go pick up the food and what did you do to my coffee?
I didn't do it. That's how it is.
That's how it is? That's how it came out with this huge mess here?
Yeah, it always tilted.
Holy cow.
Relax, you're okay. Enjoy your Saturday. It's a happy Saturday. Okay, stop complaining. Posted a picture calling for foodtubers, so I took a picture of my— of the donut, but— and I want to respond to her comment— respond to her picture with a picture, but I cannot respond to the comment with a picture. So what am I gonna do? Send her a message?
I will record a message for Rishi. Rishi, have a great weekend. We're thinking about you a lot, as you can obviously see, and Nina is busy messaging you. So have a great weekend, Rishi, and everybody watching too. So we just got stopped by a fan. He's like, "Excuse me, are you Evan? I watch your stuff. I like it, it's great." He just wants to say hi. And then he said at the end, "And stop giving your wife a hard time." That's right. I told him it's the other way around, man. I'm the one getting the hard time. How you feeling?
I get hungry again.
You're hungry? Holy cow, I'm so full. How are you hungry?
I think 'cause we've been sitting down for too long. Oh my god, I'm so full. Really?
You're crazy. After that crazy breakfast? Holy cow, where does the food go? Look at those clouds. That doesn't look like scooter-friendly weather, friends. It is supposed to rain, but not until like 5 o'clock. Let's check the weather. 7 o'clock. Yeah, see? So we have time. We got time. We have time. We totally have time. Okay, back on the Vespa. Where we going, Nina?
I don't know.
Surprise! So Nina and I have a wedding to go to tomorrow. Yeah. And Nina needs a dress. For the wedding. She can't wear white, she can't wear red because it's Chinese. Chinese is red, the bride has to wear red, right?
Yeah.
And she can't wear black because it's funeral. So that's a challenge. That's a challenge. So we are here at Yonge and Dundas in Toronto. We're gonna go check out the Eaton Centre and see what we can find for Nina. Hopefully she stays on track and only looks for dress and doesn't get distracted by other shopping. So here we are. What are you looking at there?
Business outfit.
Suits, huh? I thought we were here for a dress. I just lost Nina to Mendocino.
This fit perfectly.
Yeah?
This is loose here.
It's not that loose.
No? It's different. Yeah, it's very comfortable.
It's different, I like it. Back to the original one.
Yes.
I like it. Oh, those look good.
Yeah, look perfect. Perfect.
Nice. Perfect length. You look really happy.
Because it's hard to find a pant like that.
Okay, you should get it. You should get it. Go for it. What about the dress?
Uh, it's— I think it would be nice, yeah, yeah, if I do a makeup, the full makeup, put my hair up.
Yeah.
Cute.
Let's go look for some accessories maybe. Yeah.
Clutch. Clutch?
You can't really wear a belt with that though because it has— you have the stomach, right?
Maybe the—
Necklace. Yeah. Or bracelet. And then maybe if you had a gold wrist thing.
I don't have a gold wrist thing.
Well, but you can get one like this. I like it. It's good.
Okay.
So we happy?
Yeah.
Am I gonna have to carry it?
The what?
The bag.
I was gonna carry it myself.
Oh, you can carry it yourself. Okay. Thanks, man. I'm the family donkey. I get to carry everything around. Nina's going into Expressmen. And she's coming back out. And now Nina's going into Express. Nina has a lot of stuff to try on. Admittedly, I gave her most of that stuff. You got a lot of stuff there, Nina. I came in the change room with Nina because there were no benches outside Express for women. So, uh, you know, I think I'm going to have to stop recording right about now. Yeah? Yeah. Maybe when she tries it on, I'll turn the camera on. We'll see. Alright, this is a husband pick. Alright, another husband pick. Oh yeah, that's a winner. This is another Evan pick. I gotta be honest, husband is picking some good clothes for the wife. What do you think, wife? Can't show the wife right now, she's changing. Oh, she's trying on another husband pick. There it is. Love made me do it. Eh, just okay. Nah, I'm saying no to that one. Jeans are next. Okay, I didn't pick the jeans. You were only supposed to buy a dress.
I know.
Look at how much stuff do you have here? Holy cow.
Husband picked them.
I know, I picked them. Okay.
Except for one.
Except the orange one, that's true. I picked everything else. So it's on me. Are you blaming me? Is that what's happening?
Okay.
It's my fault. Yes. The credit card is bouncing up today. Maybe we should take Nina home before things— we have to put all this on the Vespa too, by the way.
Oh, it's true. 251, holy cow.
Husband the family donkey gets to carry more clothes. We didn't even look at the men's stuff.
Stuff.
I don't need stuff, man. I'm rocking. I'm rocking the Believwear. That's all I need. Believwear in the house. Where's your Believwear, Fran? At home. At home? That's not cool. We gotta get out of here because Nina's spending way too much money. All right, we're here. We've never been here before. Gluten-free. It's the basil box. What do you think?
It's different.
Different, eh? What did you get?
Tofu.
I went with the lemongrass chicken. Oh, look at that. That's cool. There's the food. Yummy. And there's the wife, also yummy. Nina's going to try. Nina's going to try. This place just opened up. It's supposed to be healthy. What is it? Good? Yummy? Good pick? Alright. Nice. Hey, Nick. It's such an honor to meet you, sir. Awesome, man. Welcome. What do you do? What do you do? What do I do? Yeah. I work for a marketing group, actually. Cool, man. Back in Manitoba. Love it. Yeah. Alright, well, I really appreciate what you do. Thanks so much for putting out such terrific content. Alright. Awesome, man. Have a great day. Okay, take care. I'm done. Nina's done. I'm so full right now. I'm so full. The stomach is bursting. But it was good. Nice, relatively healthy stuff. Yummy.
I'm hot.
I know you're hot, but are you full?
Temperature hot.
Oh, temperature hot. Spicy. Looks pretty cloudy up there. We still have a little bit more time, I think. Nina had me do some illegal jaywalking there.
It's not illegal.
Actually, jaywalking is illegal, friends.
Why'd you do it?
I mean, I jaywalk all the time anyway, but I don't always believe in the rules. Nina is more of a traditional non-rule breaker. I feel like it's starting to It is. I had something else planned, but maybe we should go. Exciting news. I got a message from Chris Guilbeault. A 3-time New York bestseller. Writes a whole bunch of books. He's a guy who's been to every country in the world. I think he hit it before he was 30. I was supposed to meet up with him in New York. Last minute, Ryan Holiday was going to introduce me to him. And I said that I'm in Toronto. And he said, "Hey, I'm coming to Toronto on Monday. You want to meet up and do something?" So that would be pretty cool. We'll see. Hopefully he gets on the channel and we can make it work. We're back here. Vespa time? Who does this motorcycle think he is parking next to me, huh? I mean, people are walking by and definitely checking out the Vespa. The challenge is seeing if all of Nina's stuff will fit in our trunk combined with her huge water bottle. Pack it in there. Yep. Look at that. Easy. Good job, baby. We made it back just in time. It's a good thing we didn't go to that other place I wanted to. You can see the rain already coming down on my helmet there. Nina needs to go to the bank, and I think it's Starbucks happy hour, 2-for-1 frappuccino, so we're probably gonna check that out. But first we got to get inside and get out of the rain. What are you doing on our front walkway, Nina? What are we growing?
Cherry tomato, cucumber, peppers. My garden.
All right, we relaxed for a bit there. Relax for a bit, lay down. Did you pass out? You passed out. You know, chilling Saturday afternoon. We're gonna go to the bank for Nina quickly, and then we're gonna go see if we can catch a ticket to— what's it called?
I don't know.
Civil War? Civil War, Captain America.
Just came out yesterday.
We'll see. We're gonna try to go to Yorkdale Mall, which is usually crazy packed. Okay, go! All right, dropped Nina off. Uh, I'm at Yorkdale Mall. This is the second mall we've been to today, and the two kind of iconic malls in Toronto. And I actually We got really lucky because parking here is crazy. They're doing renovations and expanding, and so there's more cars than spots always, unless you come like first thing. But I was just happening to come through an aisle, and I was following a couple, and they just happened to pull out. It's like, yes! So Nina's inside getting tickets. Hopefully, hopefully it's not sold out, and we'll go watch a movie. Okay, it was super busy for our time. We would have to stay like right at the front and put our— and strain our necks. So we have a 10:40 showing. And what time is it now?
It is 6:30.
6:30. We got 4 hours. The mall closes at 9. What do you want to do? Go home. You want to go home?
Go to the bank.
Oh my God, I just got the perfect parking spot.
Oh, you want to walk home? You want to walk home?
Are you nuts? I love this person. Walk home? That's a long walk. Yeah, that's a long walk. Okay, we'll go hang out at Chapters. We'll go check out some books. I love escalators because I can— Wenyin and I are almost the same height. See? Almost the same height on escalators. And then I can also pull on Nina's stomach and she makes crazy noises like that. It's fun. Not Chapters anymore, just called Indigo. What are you reading? What did you pick up? Food to Grow and Jamie's 15 Minute Meals. All right, maybe I can do something. 15 minutes?
Yeah.
Wait, did I just sign myself up for making meals in 15 minutes? I don't think I did. No, no, I can't do it. Totally can't do it. Dina got a caramel macchiato. How is it? And I got a waffle cone caramel frappuccino. Okay, I gotta go find some books. You're gonna sit here and read? I'm gonna find some books. I'll be back. So I've been developing a leadership development course for— not really a course, a program for the people in my business who are leaders, who I want them to get better, who want them to push through limiting personal beliefs. And this may evolve into a video series, maybe a new book, who knows. I'm super passionate and excited about it right now, and so I'm learning, learning, learning, trying to get as much of the knowledge out there on the topics. I'm gonna be checking out these two: The Power of Habit and Triggered I talk a lot about the environment and how the environment matters. The environment that you're in, you want to do great things, you be surrounded by greatness. I'm still constantly kind of evolving and learning myself how to make the environment better, how to make your habits better, and how to influence others to make habits stick for them and make them make changes in their environment. So I've already researched and learned a lot, but gonna check out these two books and see if I learn anything new. I had to pull out the camera again to show how cute my wife is in her glasses. Nina is very serious. Don't mess with Nina and her food books. Serious business. Nina is very excited about something.
This guy who wrote this book, he said he went to visit this Greek family and then who doesn't— who don't let the— don't waste food. So every time when they finish fish, they bury the fish— no, they put the fish bone in the soil so that the raccoon won't come to eat the plants. Remember last year I was afraid like, oh, the the animal will eat my plant. So maybe this year I'll put the fish bone in the thing. And coffee too, the ground coffee, it prevent the worm eat the leaves.
I love the things that excite my wife. It's very special and exciting.
It's very special.
I love seeing you get excited. See, these things I have zero interest in, but it makes Nina happy. Coffee, so it's good. What time is it? Oh great, okay. Well, so we're gonna go home. Uh, I'm gonna buy one of those two books and not the other one. I forget what the title was, but I emailed myself. I also used the time to read Ink magazine, which was cool, and, uh, started looking for— I'm looking at putting on a mindfulness mindfulness class at Toronto Dance House? Would you take a mindfulness class?
What's mindfulness?
Mindfulness is like thinking about the present moment and not being too stressed out, being grateful, whatever. Nina will take a class with me. She might start sleeping or might walk out. But anyway, I'm looking at potentially putting on like a weekend morning mindfulness class. Weekend morning? Yeah, like you start your day with it. Or maybe weekday morning too, I don't know. And then I started looking at Snapchat too, and I thought, hmm, maybe when I'm not vlogging, I'll do Snapchat. What do you guys think? Should I Snapchat on days when I'm not vlogging? I'm thinking about it. Let me know. You can find me Evan Carmichael on Snapchat. Leave a comment. Let me know if you think I should be doing it. I like your— I like your— look at Nina. Look how cute she is with her—
It's raining.
It's not raining.
It's a little bit of rain.
It's not raining. It's not raining. There's no rain. There's zero rain. But you're still cute. Okay, we're gonna go home, relax a bit, and then come back for the movie. We are back at Yorkdale. It is actually raining this time. Nina deserves to have the hoodie on. Good job. I should hoodie up too. Ready to watch Civil War. Are we getting something to eat there? What do you think?
Uh, I'm not that hungry. You want something to eat? I don't know.
I feel like I might get sick if I do. But I feel like I want something to snack on too.
Let's don't get popcorn.
Don't get popcorn? Because I'm kind of feeling popcorn.
I can get whatever you want.
Oh no, but I don't want to be sick tomorrow either. We'll see, okay, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see. I told Nina I'm thinking about getting one of those poutines and then she goes, "Oh, I'm hungry now. I want a poutine. It looks good." We're going to get our own poutine?
Mm-hmm.
Okay, you do classic and I'll do bacon. Sounds like a plan. What's up, man? We got a fan of the channel. Channel. Fist bump it up. What's your name, bro? Dennis. Dennis, what do you do, man? I work. You work? You hustle? You're gonna start a business? Real soon. Soon, man. I'm excited. What's your favorite video on the channel? The Damon Dash. Damon Dash? That's an early one, isn't it? Michael Jackson. Nice, man. The Nelson Mandela. Nice. The Tyra Banks. Nice. Oh boy. What's up? We can't videotape? All right. That's That's the end. So they wouldn't let me film inside the— not even inside the theater, just in any way. That's a good movie. We enjoyed. So it is now 1:30-ish in the morning. We're gonna go home. Oh, it's cold. We're gonna sleep. We're gonna get up tomorrow. Have some fun. What are we doing tomorrow? Tomorrow we gotta clean up. We gotta— we didn't get to the bank. We go to the bank. We gotta do some salsa. We're gonna get to a wedding. Lots of fun stuff. So thank you guys for joining us on our day today. Hope you're having a great weekend. Continue to believe, and see you soon. I will see you soon. Okay, I know it's officially past the vlog date and we already said goodbye and everything, but Nina is wearing her outfit and I wanted to show her show off what we got. This is the final look, getting ready for the wedding. I'm gonna change. This isn't gonna be what I wear, but Nina's staying like this for the class as we go teach salsa and then go to the wedding. Here we go, ready? Da da da da da da da! Evan approves. Let's go dance!
